וּבֵ֥ן כְּ֝סִ֗יל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תּוּגַ֥ת אִמּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 2 1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; but a foolish son brings grief to his mother. [3]
2 לֹא־י֭וֹעִילוּ [3] Dechi
אוֹצְר֣וֹת רֶ֑שַׁע [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝צְדָקָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תַּצִּ֥יל מִמָּֽוֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing, but righteousness delivers from death. [3]
3 לֹֽא־יַרְעִ֣יב יְ֭הוָה [3] Dechi
נֶ֣פֶשׁ צַדִּ֑יק [2] Etnachta
 
וְהַוַּ֖ת רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יֶהְדֹּֽף׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 The LORD will not allow the soul of the righteous to go hungry, but he thrusts away the desire of the wicked. [3]

עֹשֶׂ֥ה כַף־רְמִיָּ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְיַ֖ד חָרוּצִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
תַּעֲשִֽׁיר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 He becomes poor who works with a lazy hand, but the hand of the diligent brings wealth. [3]
5 אֹגֵ֣ר בַּ֭קַּיִץ [3] Dechi
בֵּ֣ן מַשְׂכִּ֑יל [2] Etnachta
 
נִרְדָּ֥ם בַּ֝קָּצִ֗יר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בֵּ֣ן מֵבִֽישׁ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 He who gathers in summer is a wise son, but he who sleeps during the harvest is a son who causes shame. [3]
6 בְּ֭רָכוֹת [3] Dechi
לְרֹ֣אשׁ צַדִּ֑יק [2] Etnachta
 
וּפִ֥י רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יְכַסֶּ֥ה חָמָֽס׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 Blessings are on the head of the righteous, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. [3]
7 זֵ֣כֶר צַ֭דִּיק [3] Dechi
לִבְרָכָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְשֵׁ֖ם רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יִרְקָֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 The memory of the righteous is blessed, but the name of the wicked will rot. [3]
8 חֲכַם־לֵ֭ב [3] Dechi
יִקַּ֣ח מִצְוֺ֑ת [2] Etnachta
 
וֶאֱוִ֥יל שְׂ֝פָתַ֗יִם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִלָּבֵֽט׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 The wise in heart accept commandments, but a chattering fool will fall. [3]
9 הוֹלֵ֣ךְ בַּ֭תֹּם [3] Dechi
יֵ֣לֶךְ בֶּ֑טַח [2] Etnachta
 
וּמְעַקֵּ֥שׁ דְּ֝רָכָ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִוָּדֵֽעַ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 He who walks blamelessly walks surely, but he who perverts his ways will be found out. [3]
10 קֹ֣רֵֽץ עַ֭יִן [3] Dechi
יִתֵּ֣ן עַצָּ֑בֶת [2] Etnachta
 
וֶאֱוִ֥יל שְׂ֝פָתַ֗יִם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִלָּבֵֽט׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 One winking with the eye causes sorrow, but a chattering fool will fall. [3]
11 מְק֣וֹר חַ֭יִּים [3] Dechi
פִּ֣י צַדִּ֑יק [2] Etnachta
 
וּפִ֥י רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יְכַסֶּ֥ה חָמָֽס׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 The mouth of the righteous is a spring of life, but violence covers the mouth of the wicked. [3]
12 שִׂ֭נְאָה [3] Dechi
תְּעוֹרֵ֣ר מְדָנִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וְעַ֥ל כָּל־פְּ֝שָׁעִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תְּכַסֶּ֥ה אַהֲבָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 Hatred stirs up strife, but love covers all wrongs. [3]
13 בְּשִׂפְתֵ֣י נָ֭בוֹן [3] Dechi
תִּמָּצֵ֣א חָכְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝שֵׁ֗בֶט [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְגֵ֣ו חֲסַר־לֵֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 Wisdom is found on the lips of him who has discernment, but a rod is for the back of him who is void of understanding. [3]
14 חֲכָמִ֥ים יִצְפְּנוּ־דָ֑עַת [2] Etnachta
 
וּפִֽי־אֱ֝וִיל [2] Geresh
מְחִתָּ֥ה קְרֹבָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 14 Wise men lay up knowledge, but the mouth of the foolish is near ruin. [2]
 
15 ה֣וֹן עָ֭שִׁיר [3] Dechi
קִרְיַ֣ת עֻזּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
מְחִתַּ֖ת דַּלִּ֣ים [2] VRevMug
רֵישָֽׁם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 The rich man’s wealth is his strong city. The destruction of the poor is their poverty. [3]
16 פְּעֻלַּ֣ת צַדִּ֣יק [3] VDechi
לְחַיִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
תְּבוּאַ֖ת רָשָׁ֣ע [2] VRevMug
לְחַטָּֽאת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 The labor of the righteous leads to life. The increase of the wicked leads to sin. [3]
17 אֹ֣רַח לְ֭חַיִּים [3] Dechi
שׁוֹמֵ֣ר מוּסָ֑ר [2] Etnachta
 
וְעוֹזֵ֖ב תּוֹכַ֣חַת [2] VRevMug
מַתְעֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 He is in the way of life who heeds correction, but he who forsakes reproof leads others astray. [3]
18 מְכַסֶּ֣ה שִׂ֭נְאָה [3] Dechi
שִׂפְתֵי־שָׁ֑קֶר [2] Etnachta
 
וּמוֹצִ֥א דִ֝בָּ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
ה֣וּא כְסִֽיל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 He who hides hatred has lying lips. He who utters a slander is a fool. [3]
19 בְּרֹ֣ב דְּ֭בָרִים [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א יֶחְדַּל־פָּ֑שַׁע [2] Etnachta
 
וְחֹשֵׂ֖ךְ שְׂפָתָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
מַשְׂכִּֽיל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 In the multitude of words there is no lack of disobedience, but he who restrains his lips does wisely. [3]
20 כֶּ֣סֶף נִ֭בְחָר [3] Dechi
לְשׁ֣וֹן צַדִּ֑יק [2] Etnachta
 
לֵ֖ב רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
כִּמְעָֽט׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 The tongue of the righteous is like choice silver. The heart of the wicked is of little worth. [3]
21 שִׂפְתֵ֣י צַ֭דִּיק [3] Dechi
יִרְע֣וּ רַבִּ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וֶֽ֝אֱוִילִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בַּחֲסַר־לֵ֥ב יָמֽוּתוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 21 The lips of the righteous feed many, but the foolish die for lack of understanding. [3]
22 בִּרְכַּ֣ת יְ֭הוָה [3] Dechi
הִ֣יא תַעֲשִׁ֑יר [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹֽא־יוֹסִ֖ף עֶ֣צֶב [2] VRevMug
עִמָּֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 22 The LORD’s blessing brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it. [3]
23 כִּשְׂח֣וֹק לִ֭כְסִיל [3] Dechi
עֲשׂ֣וֹת זִמָּ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝חָכְמָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְאִ֣ישׁ תְּבוּנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 23 It is a fool’s pleasure to do wickedness, but wisdom is a man of understanding’s pleasure. [3]
24 מְגוֹרַ֣ת רָ֭שָׁע [3] Dechi
הִ֣יא תְבוֹאֶ֑נּוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וְתַאֲוַ֖ת צַדִּיקִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
יִתֵּֽן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 24 What the wicked fear, will overtake them, but the desire of the righteous will be granted. [3]
25 כַּעֲב֣וֹר ס֭וּפָה [3] Dechi
וְאֵ֣ין רָשָׁ֑ע [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝צַדִּ֗יק [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יְס֣וֹד עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 25 When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more; but the righteous stand firm forever. [3]
26 כַּחֹ֤מֶץ ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
לַשִּׁנַּ֗יִם [3] Revi'i
וְכֶעָשָׁ֥ן לָעֵינָ֑יִם [2] Etnachta
 
כֵּ֥ן הֶ֝עָצֵ֗ל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְשֹׁלְחָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 26 As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to those who send him. [4]
27 יִרְאַ֣ת יְ֭הוָה [3] Dechi
תּוֹסִ֣יף יָמִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וּשְׁנ֖וֹת רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
תִּקְצֹֽרְנָה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 27 The fear of the LORD prolongs days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened. [3]
28 תּוֹחֶ֣לֶת צַדִּיקִ֣ים [3] VDechi
שִׂמְחָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וְתִקְוַ֖ת רְשָׁעִ֣ים [2] VRevMug
תֹּאבֵֽד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 28 The prospect of the righteous is joy, but the hope of the wicked will perish. [3]
29 מָע֣וֹז לַ֭תֹּם [3] Dechi
דֶּ֣רֶךְ יְהוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מְחִתָּ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְפֹ֣עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 29 The way of the LORD is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity. [3]
30 צַדִּ֣יק לְעוֹלָ֣ם [3] VDechi
בַּל־יִמּ֑וֹט [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝רְשָׁעִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לֹ֣א יִשְׁכְּנוּ־אָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 30 The righteous will never be removed, but the wicked will not dwell in the land. [3]
31 פִּֽי־צַ֭דִּיק [3] Dechi
יָנ֣וּב חָכְמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
וּלְשׁ֥וֹן תַּ֝הְפֻּכ֗וֹת [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תִּכָּרֵֽת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 31 The mouth of the righteous produces wisdom, but the perverse tongue will be cut off. [3]
32 שִׂפְתֵ֣י צַ֭דִּיק [3] Dechi
יֵדְע֣וּן רָצ֑וֹן [2] Etnachta
 
וּפִ֥י רְ֝שָׁעִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
תַּהְפֻּכֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 32 The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, but the mouth of the wicked is perverse. ¶ [3]
