Jesus Heals a Man with a Withered Hand

Jesus Heals a Man with a Withered Hand

6On another Sabbath, Jesus went into the synagogue and was teaching, and a man was there whose right hand was withered. 7Now the scribes and the Pharisees were watching Jesus closely to see if he would heal on the Sabbath, so that they could find [fn]an accusation against him. 8But he knew their thoughts and said to the man with the withered hand, “Rise and stand here.” So he rose and stood there. 9Then Jesus said to them, [fn]Let me ask you something: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good or to do evil, to save life or to [fn]kill?” 10And after looking around at them all, he said to the man, “Stretch out yoʋr hand.” The man did so, and his hand was [fn]restored, as sound as the other. 11But the scribes and Pharisees were filled with mindless rage and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus.
