שָׁמְע֣וּ לֵאמֹ֗ר [3] Revi'i
 
הִכָּ֤ה שָׁאוּל֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־נְצִ֣יב פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וְגַם־נִבְאַ֥שׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
בַּפְּלִשְׁתִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּצָּעֲק֥וּ הָעָ֛ם [3] Tevir
אַחֲרֵ֥י שָׁא֖וּל [2] Tip'cha

the garrison of the Philistines,” [2]
 
and also “Israel has become a stench [2]

And the people were summoned [3]

בַּמְּעָר֤וֹת וּבַֽחֲוָחִים֙ [3] Pashta

הָֽעֹלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְהַשְּׁלָמִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּ֖עַל [2] Tip'cha
הָעֹלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

“Bring here to me [2]
the burnt offering [2]
and the peace offerings.” [1]
 
And he offered up [2]
the burnt offering. [1]
10 וַיְהִ֗י [3] Revi'i
כְּכַלֹּתוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
לְהַעֲל֣וֹת הָעֹלָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִנֵּ֥ה שְׁמוּאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
בָּ֑א [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּצֵ֥א שָׁא֛וּל [3] Tevir
לִקְרָאת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
לְבָרְכֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

behold, Samuel [2]
was coming; [1]
 
and Saul went out [3]
to meet him, [2]

מֶ֣ה עָשִׂ֑יתָ [1] Etnachta

כִּֽי־רָאִ֩יתִי֩ כִֽי־נָפַ֨ץ הָעָ֜ם [4] Geresh

וְאַתָּה֙ [3] Pashta
לֹֽא־בָ֙אתָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
לְמוֹעֵ֣ד הַיָּמִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וּפְלִשְׁתִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
נֶאֱסָפִ֥ים מִכְמָֽשׂ׃ [1] Silluq

“Because I saw that the people were scattered [4]

in the appointed number of days, [2]

were gathering at Michmash; [1]

יֵרְד֨וּ פְלִשְׁתִּ֤ים אֵלַי֙ [3] Pashta
הַגִּלְגָּ֔ל [2] Zaqef

יְהֹוָ֤ה אֱלֹהֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוָּ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֣י עַתָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
הֵכִ֨ין יְהֹוָ֧ה אֶת־מַֽמְלַכְתְּךָ֛ [3] Tevir
אֶל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

“You have acted foolishly. [1]
 
You have not kept [3]
 
the commandment [4]
of the LORD your God [3 3]
which he commanded you; [2]

the LORD would have established your kingdom [3]

forever. [1]

מַמְלַכְתְּךָ֣ לֹֽא־תָק֑וּם [1] Etnachta
 
בִּקֵּשׁ֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה ל֜וֹ [4] Geresh
אִ֣ישׁ כִּלְבָב֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
 
וַיְצַוֵּ֨הוּ יְהֹוָ֤ה לְנָגִיד֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־עַמּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֚י [3] Yetiv
לֹ֣א שָׁמַ֔רְתָּ [2] Zaqef
 
אֵ֥ת אֲשֶֽׁר־צִוְּךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha

הַנִּמְצְאִ֣ים עִמּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
כְּשֵׁ֥שׁ מֵא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha

הָרֹ֨אשׁ אֶחָ֥ד יִפְנֶ֛ה [3] Tevir
אֶל־דֶּ֥רֶךְ עׇפְרָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־אֶ֥רֶץ שׁוּעָֽל׃ [1] Silluq
