2 3 1 The LORD’s ark was in the country of the Philistines seven months. [3]

לֹא־תָס֥וּר יָד֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מִכֶּֽם׃ [1] Silluq

כִּֽי־מַגֵּפָ֥ה אַחַ֛ת [3] Merkha Tevir

וּלְסַרְנֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

וּמֵעַ֥ל אַרְצְכֶֽם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

וַֽיְשַׁלְּח֖וּם [2] Tip'cha
וַיֵּלֵֽכוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 3 2 6 Why then do you harden your hearts as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? When he had worked wonderfully among them, didn’t they let the people go, and they departed? ¶ [3]

אֲשֶׁ֨ר הֲשֵׁבֹתֶ֥ם לוֹ֙ [3] Qadma Merkha Pashta

תָּשִׂ֥ימוּ בָאַרְגַּ֖ז [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מִצִּדּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְשִׁלַּחְתֶּ֥ם אֹת֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְהָלָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq

אֶת־הָרָעָ֥ה הַגְּדוֹלָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הַזֹּ֑את [1] Etnachta
 
וְאִם־לֹ֗א [3] Revi'a
וְיָדַ֙עְנוּ֙ [3] Pashta
כִּ֣י לֹ֤א יָדוֹ֙ [3] Munach Mapakh Pashta
נָ֣גְעָה בָּ֔נוּ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
מִקְרֶ֥ה ה֖וּא [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הָ֥יָה לָֽנוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 3 2 2 3 3 3 2 9 Behold, if it goes up by the way of its own border to Beth Shemesh, then he has done us this great evil; but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that struck us. It was a chance that happened to us.” ¶ [3]

וְאֶת־בְּנֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
כָּל֥וּ בַבָּֽיִת׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 3 2 2 10 The men did so, and took two milk cows and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home. [3]

צַלְמֵ֥י טְחֹרֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

12 וַיִּשַּׁ֨רְנָה הַפָּר֜וֹת [4] Qadma Geresh

עַל־דֶּ֙רֶךְ֙ [3] Pashta
בֵּ֣ית שֶׁ֔מֶשׁ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
בִּמְסִלָּ֣ה אַחַ֗ת [3] Munach Revi'a
הָלְכ֤וּ הָלֹךְ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
וְגָע֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹא־סָ֖רוּ [2] Tip'cha
יָמִ֣ין וּשְׂמֹ֑אול [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְסַרְנֵ֤י פְלִשְׁתִּים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
הֹלְכִ֣ים אַחֲרֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef
 
עַד־גְּב֖וּל [2] Tip'cha
בֵּ֥ית שָֽׁמֶשׁ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 3 3 2 2 3 2 12 The cows took the straight way by the way to Beth Shemesh. They went along the highway, lowing as they went, and didn’t turn away to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them to the border of Beth Shemesh. [4]

וַיִּשְׂא֣וּ אֶת־עֵינֵיהֶ֗ם [3] Munach Revi'a
וַיִּרְאוּ֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־הָ֣אָר֔וֹן [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וַֽיִּשְׂמְח֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
לִרְאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 3 2 13 The people of Beth Shemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley; and they lifted up their eyes and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it. [2]

1 2 3 4 4 2 2 3 2 2 14 The cart came into the field of Joshua of Beth Shemesh, and stood there, where there was a great stone. Then they split the wood of the cart and offered up the cows for a burnt offering to the LORD. [4]

וְאֶת־הָאַרְגַּ֤ז אֲשֶׁר־אִתּוֹ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
אֲשֶׁר־בּ֣וֹ כְלֵֽי־זָהָ֔ב [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וַיָּשִׂ֖מוּ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־הָאֶ֣בֶן הַגְּדוֹלָ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְאַנְשֵׁ֣י בֵֽית־שֶׁ֗מֶשׁ [3] Munach Revi'a
 
הֶעֱל֨וּ עֹל֜וֹת [4] Qadma Geresh
וַֽיִּזְבְּח֧וּ זְבָחִ֛ים [3] Darga Tevir
בַּיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא [2] Merkha Tip'cha
 
לַיהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 4 3 2 2 3 3 4 15 The Levites took down the LORD’s ark and the box that was with it, in which the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone; and the men of Beth Shemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day to the LORD. [4]

אָבֵ֣ל הַגְּדוֹלָ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a
 
אֲשֶׁ֨ר הִנִּ֤יחוּ עָלֶ֙יהָ֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta
אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv
אֲר֣וֹן יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
עַ֚ד [3] Yetiv
הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef

בֵּ֥ית הַשִּׁמְשִֽׁי׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

That stone remains to this day in the field of Joshua of Beth Shemesh. [3]

חֲמִשִּׁ֥ים אֶ֖לֶף [2] Merkha Tip'cha
אִ֑ישׁ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּֽתְאַבְּל֣וּ הָעָ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef
 
כִּֽי־הִכָּ֧ה יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Darga Tevir
בָּעָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
מַכָּ֥ה גְדוֹלָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 3 2 2 2 3 19 He struck of the men of Beth Shemesh, because they had looked into the LORD’s ark, he struck fifty thousand seventy of the men. Then the people mourned, because the LORD had struck the people with a great slaughter. [4]

יַעֲלֶ֥ה מֵעָלֵֽינוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
