וַיַּ֥ךְ דָּוִ֛ד [3] Tevir
אֶת־פְּלִשְׁתִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וַיַּכְנִיעֵ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּקַּ֥ח דָּוִ֛ד [3] Tevir
אֶת־מֶ֥תֶג הָאַמָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מִיַּ֥ד פְּלִשְׁתִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 3 1 After this, David struck the Philistines and subdued them; and David took the bridle of the mother city out of the hand of the Philistines. [3]

הַשְׁכֵּ֣ב אוֹתָ֣ם אַ֔רְצָה [2] Zaqef
 
וַיְמַדֵּ֤ד שְׁנֵֽי־חֲבָלִים֙ [3] Pashta
לְהָמִ֔ית [2] Zaqef
 
וּמְלֹ֥א הַחֶ֖בֶל [2] Tip'cha
לְהַחֲי֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
וַתְּהִ֤י מוֹאָב֙ [3] Pashta
לְדָוִ֔ד [2] Zaqef
 
לַעֲבָדִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
נֹשְׂאֵ֥י מִנְחָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 3 2 2 3 2 2 He struck Moab, and measured them with the line, making them to lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death, and one full line to keep alive. The Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute. [3]

בִּֽנְהַר־**פְּרָֽת׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 2 3 David struck also Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his dominion at the River. [2]

אֶ֤לֶף וּשְׁבַע־מֵאוֹת֙ [3] Pashta

אִ֣ישׁ רַגְלִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְעַקֵּ֤ר דָּוִד֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־כׇּל־הָרֶ֔כֶב [2] Zaqef
 
וַיּוֹתֵ֥ר מִמֶּ֖נּוּ [2] Tip'cha
מֵ֥אָה רָֽכֶב׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 2 3 2 4 David took from him one thousand seven hundred horsemen and twenty thousand footmen. David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for one hundred chariots. [4]

1 2 3 2 2 2 3 2 5 When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck twenty two thousand men of the Syrians. [3]
6 וַיָּ֨שֶׂם דָּוִ֤ד נְצִבִים֙ [3] Pashta
בַּאֲרַ֣ם דַּמֶּ֔שֶׂק [2] Zaqef
 
וַתְּהִ֤י אֲרָם֙ [3] Pashta
לְדָוִ֔ד [2] Zaqef
 
לַעֲבָדִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
נוֹשְׂאֵ֣י מִנְחָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֤שַׁע יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־דָּוִ֔ד [2] Zaqef
 
בְּכֹ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָלָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 2 3 2 6 Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought tribute. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went. [3]

10 וַיִּשְׁלַ֣ח תֹּ֣עִי אֶת־יֽוֹרָם־בְּנ֣וֹ אֶל־הַמֶּֽלֶךְ־דָּ֠וִ֠ד [4 4] TelishaG

1 2 3 4 4 3 2 3 2 3 3 10 then Toi sent Joram his son to king David, to greet him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him; for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. Joram brought with him vessels of silver, vessels of gold, and vessels of bronze. [4 4]

1 2 3 2 2 3 12 of Syria, of Moab, of the children of Ammon, of the Philistines, of Amalek, and of the plunder of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah. ¶ [3]

1 2 3 2 2 2 13 David earned a reputation when he returned from striking down eighteen thousand men of the Syrians in the Valley of Salt. [3]

1 2 3 4 3 2 2 3 2 14 He put garrisons in Edom. Throughout all Edom, he put garrisons, and all the Edomites became servants to David. The LORD gave victory to David wherever he went. [4]

1 2 2 3 3 15 David reigned over all Israel; and David executed justice and righteousness for all his people. [2]
