אֲשֶׁר֩ חָזָ֨ה עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל [4] Geresh

“The LORD, [3]
he will roar from Zion, [2]
 
and from Jerusalem [2]
he will lift up his voice; [1]
 
and they will dry up, [3]
the pastures of the shepherds, [2]
 
and it will wither, [2]
the top of Carmel.” [1]

בַּחֲרֻצ֥וֹת הַבַּרְזֶ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־הַגִּלְעָֽד׃ [1] Silluq

transgressions of Damascus, [2]
 
and for four [2]
I will not relent; [1]
 
because they threshed [3]
with threshing sledges of iron, [2]
Gilead, [1]
4 וְשִׁלַּ֥חְתִּי אֵ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
בְּבֵ֣ית חֲזָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָכְלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אַרְמְנ֥וֹת בֶּן־הֲדָֽד׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 4 but I will send forth a fire [2]
on the house of Hazael; [1]
 
and it will consume [2]
the fortresses of Ben Hadad. [1]
5 וְשָֽׁבַרְתִּי֙ [3] Pashta
בְּרִ֣יחַ דַּמֶּ֔שֶׂק [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִכְרַתִּ֤י יוֹשֵׁב֙ [3] Pashta
מִבִּקְעַת־אָ֔וֶן [2] Zaqef
 
וְתוֹמֵ֥ךְ שֵׁ֖בֶט [2] Tip'cha
מִבֵּ֣ית עֶ֑דֶן [1] Etnachta
 
וְגָל֧וּ עַם־אֲרָ֛ם [3] Tevir
קִ֖ירָה [2] Tip'cha
אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

the bar of Damascus, [2]
 
and I will cut off inhabitant [3]
from the valley of Aven, [2]
 
and one who holds a scepter [2]
from the house of Eden; [1]
 
and the people of Syria shall go into exile [3]
to Kir,” [2]

לֹ֣א אֲשִׁיבֶ֑נּוּ [1] Etnachta
 
עַל־הַגְלוֹתָ֛ם [3] Tevir
גָּל֥וּת שְׁלֵמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לְהַסְגִּ֥יר לֶאֱדֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq

“For three [3]
transgressions of Gaza, [2]
 
and for four [2]
I will not relent; [1]
 
because they carried away into exile [3]
an entire population, [2]
to deliver them up to Edom, [1]
7 וְשִׁלַּ֥חְתִּי אֵ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
בְּחוֹמַ֣ת עַזָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָכְלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אַרְמְנֹתֶֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 7 but I will send forth a fire [2]
on the wall of Gaza; [1]
 
and it will consume [2]
its fortresses. [1]
8 וְהִכְרַתִּ֤י יוֹשֵׁב֙ [3] Pashta
מֵֽאַשְׁדּ֔וֹד [2] Zaqef
 
וְתוֹמֵ֥ךְ שֵׁ֖בֶט [2] Tip'cha
מֵֽאַשְׁקְל֑וֹן [1] Etnachta
 
וַהֲשִׁיב֨וֹתִי יָדִ֜י [4] Geresh
עַל־עֶקְר֗וֹן [3] Revi'i
 
וְאָֽבְדוּ֙ [3] Pashta
שְׁאֵרִ֣ית פְּלִשְׁתִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef

אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִֽה׃ [1] Silluq

and one who holds a scepter [2]

and I will turn my hand [4]

and for four [2]
I will not relent; [1]
 
because they delivered up [4]
an entire population [3]
to Edom, [2]
 
and they didn’t remember [2]
the covenant of brothers, [1]
10 וְשִׁלַּ֥חְתִּי אֵ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
בְּח֣וֹמַת צֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָכְלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אַרְמְנוֹתֶֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq

וַיִּטְרֹ֤ף לָעַד֙ [3] Pashta
אַפּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְעֶבְרָת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
שְׁמָ֥רָהֿ נֶֽצַח׃ [1] Silluq

because he pursued his brother with the sword [3]
and he cast off his compassion, [2]
 
and it raged continually, [3]
his anger, [2]
 
and his fury, [2]
he kept it forever, [1]
12 וְשִׁלַּ֥חְתִּי אֵ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
בְּתֵימָ֑ן [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָכְלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אַרְמְנ֥וֹת בׇּצְרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

the fortresses of Bozrah.” [1]

פִּשְׁעֵ֣י בְנֵֽי־עַמּ֔וֹן [2] Zaqef

עַל־בִּקְעָם֙ [3] Pashta
הָר֣וֹת הַגִּלְעָ֔ד [2] Zaqef

הַרְחִ֥יב אֶת־גְּבוּלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

and for four [2]
I will not relent; [1]
 
because they ripped open [3]
the pregnant women of Gilead, [2]
 
in order [2]
to enlarge their territory. [1]
14 וְהִצַּ֤תִּי אֵשׁ֙ [3] Pashta
בְּחוֹמַ֣ת רַבָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְאָכְלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אַרְמְנוֹתֶ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta
 
בִּתְרוּעָה֙ [3] Pashta
בְּי֣וֹם מִלְחָמָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
בְּסַ֖עַר [2] Tip'cha
בְּי֥וֹם סוּפָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

on the wall of Rabbah, [2]
 
and it will consume [2]
its fortresses; [1]
 
with a shout of alarm [3]
on the day of battle, [2]
 
with a storm [2]
on the day of a whirlwind, [1]
15 וְהָלַ֥ךְ מַלְכָּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בַּגּוֹלָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
ה֧וּא וְשָׂרָ֛יו [3] Tevir
יַחְדָּ֖ו [2] Tip'cha
אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

אַרְמְנ֣וֹת הַקְּרִיּ֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
וּמֵ֤ת בְּשָׁאוֹן֙ [3] Pashta
מוֹאָ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
בִּתְרוּעָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּק֥וֹל שׁוֹפָֽר׃ [1] Silluq

the fortresses of Kerioth; [1]
 
and it will die in tumult, [3]
Moab, [2]
 
with a shout of alarm, [2]
with the sound of a shofar, [1]

מִקִּרְבָּ֑הּ [1] Etnachta
 
וְכׇל־שָׂרֶ֛יהָ [3] Tevir
אֶהֱר֥וֹג עִמּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha

their lies, [2]
 
which their ancestors walked [2]

because they sold for silver [3 3]
the righteous, [2]
 
and the needy [2]
for a pair of sandals, [1]
7 הַשֹּׁאֲפִ֤ים עַל־עֲפַר־אֶ֙רֶץ֙ [3 3] Pashta
בְּרֹ֣אשׁ דַּלִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וְדֶ֥רֶךְ עֲנָוִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
יַטּ֑וּ [1] Etnachta
 
וְאִ֣ישׁ וְאָבִ֗יו [3] Revi'i
יֵֽלְכוּ֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־הַֽנַּעֲרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
לְמַ֥עַן חַלֵּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־שֵׁ֥ם קׇדְשִֽׁי׃ [1] Silluq

and the way of the humble [2]

8 וְעַל־בְּגָדִ֤ים חֲבֻלִים֙ [3] Pashta

כׇּל־מִזְבֵּ֑חַ [1] Etnachta
 
וְיֵ֤ין עֲנוּשִׁים֙ [3] Pashta

אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

אֲשֶׁ֨ר כְּגֹ֤בַהּ אֲרָזִים֙ [3] Pashta
גׇּבְה֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְחָסֹ֥ן ה֖וּא [2] Tip'cha
כָּאַלּוֹנִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וָאַשְׁמִ֤יד פִּרְיוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
מִמַּ֔עַל [2] Zaqef
 
וְשׇׁרָשָׁ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
מִתָּֽחַת׃ [1] Silluq

הֶעֱלֵ֥יתִי אֶתְכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וָאוֹלֵ֨ךְ אֶתְכֶ֤ם בַּמִּדְבָּר֙ [3] Pashta
אַרְבָּעִ֣ים שָׁנָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
לָרֶ֖שֶׁת [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־אֶ֥רֶץ הָאֱמֹרִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

I brought you up [2]
from the land of Egypt; [1]
 
and I led you in the wilderness [3]
forty years, [2]
 
to take possession of [2]
the land of the Amorite. [1]
11 וָאָקִ֤ים מִבְּנֵיכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
לִנְבִיאִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וּמִבַּחוּרֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
לִנְזִרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
הַאַ֥ף אֵֽין־זֹ֛את [3] Tevir
בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

to be prophets, [2]
 
and some of your young men [2]
to be Nazirites; [1]
 
Is this not so, [3]
O children of Israel?” [2]

12 וַתַּשְׁק֥וּ אֶת־הַנְּזִרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
יָ֑יִן [1] Etnachta
 
וְעַל־הַנְּבִיאִים֙ [3] Pashta
צִוִּיתֶ֣ם לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
לֹ֖א [2] Tip'cha
תִּנָּבְאֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq

wine; [1]
 
and to the prophets [3]
you commanded saying, [2]
 
‘Don’t [2]
prophesy!’ [1]

לֹא־יְאַמֵּ֣ץ כֹּח֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְגִבּ֖וֹר [2] Tip'cha
לֹא־יְמַלֵּ֥ט נַפְשֽׁוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

from the swift, [2]
 
and the strong [2]
won’t strengthen his power; [1]
 
and the mighty, [2]
he will not deliver himself, [1]
15 וְתֹפֵ֤שׂ הַקֶּ֙שֶׁת֙ [3 3] Pashta
