2 Hear this [3] O elders, [2] all [2] inhabitants of the land; [1] in your days, [2] in the days of your fathers? [1] |

4 What the swarming locust has left, [3] the great locust has eaten. [2] the grasshopper has eaten. [1] it has eaten, [2] the caterpillar. [1] |

5 Wake up O drunkards [3] and weep! [2] all drinkers of wine; [1] for it has been cut off [2] from your mouth. [1] |

6 For a nation, [3] it has come up against my land, [2] and without number; [1] are the teeth of a lion, [2] it has. [1] |

9 The grain offering has been cut off [3] and the drink offering, [2] from the house of the LORD; [1] the priests, [2] of the LORD. [1] |

10 The field is devastated, [2] it is dried up, [2] the ground; [1] the grain is devastated, [2] the fresh oil has dried out. [1] |

12 The vine has dried up, [2] and the fig tree, [2] it has withered; [1] also the palm tree and the apple tree, [3] they have withered, [2] from the sons of men. [1] § |

17 Between the porch [3] and the altar, [2] the priests, [2] of the LORD; [1] “Have compassion O LORD on your people, [3] that the nations should mock against them. [2] should they say among the peoples, [2] is their God?’ ” [1] |

18 Then the LORD became jealous [2] for his land; [1] on his people. [1] |

19 וַיַּ֨עַן יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לְעַמּ֗וֹ [3] Revi'i אֶת־הַדָּגָן֙ [3] Pashta וְהַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ וְהַיִּצְהָ֔ר [2] Zaqef אֹת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta חֶרְפָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בַּגּוֹיִֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
19 And the LORD answered [4] and he said to his people, [3] grain [3] and new wine and fresh oil, [2] with it; [1] a reproach [2] among the nations. [1] |

20 וְֽאֶת־הַצְּפוֹנִ֞י [4] Gershayim אַרְחִ֣יק מֵעֲלֵיכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i אֶל־אֶ֣רֶץ צִיָּ֣ה וּשְׁמָמָה֒ [2] Segol אֶל־הַיָּם֙ [3] Pashta הַקַּדְמֹנִ֔י [2] Zaqef אֶל־הַיָּ֣ם הָאַחֲר֑וֹן [1] Etnachta וְתַ֙עַל֙ [3 3] Pashta צַחֲנָת֔וֹ [2] Zaqef לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ [1] Silluq |
20 And the northern army [4] I will remove far away from you, [3] into a dry and desolate land, [2] into the sea, [3] the eastern, [2] into the western sea; [1] and it will rise, [3 3] its foul smell.” [2] has done. [1] |

21 Do not fear [2] O Land; [1] for the LORD, great things [2] has done. [1] |

22 Do not be afraid [3] O animals of the field, [2] the pastures of the wilderness; [1] it bears its fruit, [2] they yield their strength. [1] |

23 “Then children of Zion, [3] be glad and rejoice [3] in the LORD your God, [2] the early rain [2] in faithfulness; [1] rain, [3] early and spring rain, [2] as before. [1] |

24 וּמָלְא֥וּ הַגֳּרָנ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha בָּ֑ר [1] Etnachta תִּיר֥וֹשׁ וְיִצְהָֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
24 And the threshing floors will be full [2] of grain; [1] with new wine and oil. [1] |

25 וְשִׁלַּמְתִּ֤י לָכֶם֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־הַשָּׁנִ֔ים [2] Zaqef אָכַ֣ל הָאַרְבֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְהֶחָסִ֣יל וְהַגָּזָ֑ם [1] Etnachta הַגָּד֔וֹל [2] Zaqef בָּכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
25 And I will restore to you [3] the years [2] the swarming locust has eaten, [2] and the grasshopper and the caterpillar; [1] great [2] among you. [1] |

26 וַאֲכַלְתֶּ֤ם אָכוֹל֙ [3] Pashta וְשָׂב֔וֹעַ [2] Zaqef אֶת־שֵׁ֤ם יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta אֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef לְהַפְלִ֑יא [1] Etnachta לְעוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
26 And you will have plenty to eat [3] and be satisfied, [2] the name of the LORD [3] your God, [2] wondrously; [1] forever. [1] |
