נֹשֵׂ֧א עֲלֵיכֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
קִינָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
 
בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq

am lifting up on you, [3]

O house of Israel, [1]

לֹא־תוֹסִ֣יף ק֔וּם [2] Zaqef
 
בְּתוּלַ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
נִטְּשָׁ֥ה עַל־אַדְמָתָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
אֵ֥ין מְקִימָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq

She shall rise no more, [2]
 
the virgin [2]
of Israel; [1]
 
She has been abandoned on her own land. [2]
There is no one to raise her up.” [1]

הַיֹּצֵ֥את אֶ֖לֶף [2] Tip'cha
תַּשְׁאִ֣יר מֵאָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְהַיּוֹצֵ֥את מֵאָ֛ה [3] Tevir
תַּשְׁאִ֥יר עֲשָׂרָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לְבֵ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq

“The city [3]
which goes out a thousand, [2]
it shall have left a hundred; [1]
 
and which goes out a hundred, [3]
it shall have left ten, [2]
of the house of Israel.” [1]

לְבֵ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
דִּרְשׁ֖וּנִי [2] Tip'cha
וִֽחְיֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq

“Seek me [2]
and live, [1]
5 וְאַֽל־תִּדְרְשׁוּ֙ [3] Pashta

וְהַגִּלְגָּל֙ [3] Pashta
לֹ֣א תָבֹ֔אוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וּבְאֵ֥ר שֶׁ֖בַע [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֣א תַעֲבֹ֑רוּ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֤י הַגִּלְגָּל֙ [3] Pashta
גָּלֹ֣ה יִגְלֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וּבֵֽית־אֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
יִהְיֶ֥ה לְאָֽוֶן׃ [1] Silluq

and Gilgal [3]
you must not go to, [2]
 
and Beersheba [2]
you must not pass over; [1]
 
for Gilgal, [3]
it shall surely go into exile, [2]

it shall become trouble. [1]
6 דִּרְשׁ֥וּ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וִֽחְי֑וּ [1] Etnachta
 
פֶּן־יִצְלַ֤ח כָּאֵשׁ֙ [3] Pashta
בֵּ֣ית יוֹסֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef
 
וְאָכְלָ֥ה וְאֵין־מְכַבֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לְבֵֽית־אֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq

and live; [1]
 
lest he break out like fire on [3]
the house of Joseph, [2]
 
and it will consume and there be no one to extinguish it [2]

7 הַהֹפְכִ֥ים לְלַעֲנָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מִשְׁפָּ֑ט [1] Etnachta
 
וּצְדָקָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לָאָ֥רֶץ הִנִּֽיחוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 7 O ones who turn into wormwood, [2]
justice; [1]
 
and righteousness, [2]
to the ground they cast down, [1]
8 עֹשֵׂ֨ה כִימָ֜ה [4] Geresh
וּכְסִ֗יל [3] Revi'i
 
וְהֹפֵ֤ךְ לַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta
צַלְמָ֔וֶת [2] Zaqef
 
וְי֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha
לַ֣יְלָה הֶחְשִׁ֑יךְ [1] Etnachta
 
הַקּוֹרֵ֣א לְמֵֽי־הַיָּ֗ם [3] Revi'i
וַֽיִּשְׁפְּכֵ֛ם [3] Tevir
עַל־פְּנֵ֥י הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה שְׁמֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

and who turns into the morning [3 3]
deep darkness, [2]

he makes into dark night; [1]
 
who calls for the waters of the sea, [3]
and he pours them out [3]
on the surface of the earth, [2]
the LORD is his name, [1]
9 הַמַּבְלִ֥יג שֹׁ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
עַל־עָ֑ז [1] Etnachta
 
וְשֹׁ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
עַל־מִבְצָ֥ר יָבֽוֹא׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 9 who brings sudden destruction [2]
on the strong; [1]
 
and destruction, [2]
it will come on the fortress. [1]
10 שָׂנְא֥וּ בַשַּׁ֖עַר [2] Tip'cha
מוֹכִ֑יחַ [1] Etnachta
 
וְדֹבֵ֥ר תָּמִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
יְתָעֵֽבוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 10 They hate in the gate [2]
the one who reproves; [1]
 
and the one who speaks blamelessly, [2]
they abhor. [1]

וּמַשְׂאַת־בַּר֙ [3] Pashta
תִּקְח֣וּ מִמֶּ֔נּוּ [2] Zaqef
 
בָּתֵּ֥י גָזִ֛ית [3] Tevir
בְּנִיתֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹא־תֵ֣שְׁבוּ בָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כַּרְמֵי־חֶ֣מֶד נְטַעְתֶּ֔ם [2] Zaqef
וְלֹ֥א תִשְׁתּ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־יֵינָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

on the poor, [3]
 
and a portion of grain [3]
you take from him, [2]
 
houses of cut stone [3]
you have built, [2]
but you will not dwell in them; [1]
 
pleasant vineyards you have planted, [2]
but you will not drink [2]
their wine. [1]
12 כִּ֤י יָדַ֙עְתִּי֙ [3 3] Pashta
רַבִּ֣ים פִּשְׁעֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וַעֲצֻמִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
חַטֹּאתֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
צֹרְרֵ֤י צַדִּיק֙ [3] Pashta
לֹ֣קְחֵי כֹ֔פֶר [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶבְיוֹנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
בַּשַּׁ֥עַר הִטּֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq

how many are your offenses, [2]
 
and numerous [2]
your sins; [1]
 
O enemies of the righteous, [3]
O takers of a bribe, [2]
 
who the needy, [2]
in the gate they turn aside. [1]

בָּעֵ֥ת הַהִ֖יא [2] Tip'cha

עֵ֥ת רָעָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הִֽיא׃ [1] Silluq

וִֽיהִי־כֵ֞ן [4] Gershayim
יְהֹוָ֧ה אֱלֹהֵֽי־צְבָא֛וֹת [3] Tevir
אִתְּכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲמַרְתֶּֽם׃ [1] Silluq

that you may live; [1]
 
and it will be so, [4]
the LORD God of Hosts [3]
will be with you, [2]
just as you have said. [1]

וְאֶ֣הֱבוּ ט֔וֹב [2] Zaqef
 
וְהַצִּ֥יגוּ בַשַּׁ֖עַר [2] Tip'cha
מִשְׁפָּ֑ט [1] Etnachta
 
אוּלַ֗י [3] Revi'i
יֶחֱנַ֛ן [3] Tevir
יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽי־צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
שְׁאֵרִ֥ית יוֹסֵֽף׃ [1] Silluq

יֹאמְר֣וּ הוֹ־ה֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְקָרְא֤וּ אִכָּר֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־אֵ֔בֶל [2] Zaqef
 
וּמִסְפֵּ֖ד [2] Tip'cha

“Wailing will be in all the open places, [2]
and in all the streets [2]
they will say, ‘Alas! Alas!’ [1]
 
and they will call a farmer [3]
to mourning, [2]
 
and wailing [2]
to those who are skillful in lamentation. [1]
17 וּבְכׇל־כְּרָמִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
מִסְפֵּ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־אֶעֱבֹ֥ר בְּקִרְבְּךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 2 17 And in all the vineyards [2]
will be wailing; [1]
 
for I will pass through your midst,” [2]
says the LORD. [1]
18 ה֥וֹי הַמִּתְאַוִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־י֣וֹם יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
לָמָּה־זֶּ֥ה לָכֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
י֥וֹם יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הוּא־חֹ֥שֶׁךְ וְלֹא־אֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 18 “Woe to those who long for [2]
the day of the LORD! [1]
 
Why is it like this to you, [3]
the day of the LORD? [2]
It will be darkness and not light. [1]
19 כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר יָנ֥וּס אִישׁ֙ [3] Pashta
מִפְּנֵ֣י הָאֲרִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וּפְגָע֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
הַדֹּ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
וּבָ֣א הַבַּ֔יִת [2] Zaqef
 
וְסָמַ֤ךְ יָדוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־הַקִּ֔יר [2] Zaqef
 
וּנְשָׁכ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
הַנָּחָֽשׁ׃ [1] Silluq

from before the lion, [2]
 
and it meets him [2]
the bear; [1]
 
Or he goes into the house, [2]
 
and he leans his hand [3]
on the wall [2]
 
and it bites him, [2]
the snake. [1]
20 הֲלֹא־חֹ֛שֶׁךְ [3] Tevir
י֥וֹם יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹא־א֑וֹר [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָפֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹא־נֹ֥גַֽהּ לֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 20 Won’t (it) be darkness, [3]
the day of the LORD, [2]
and not light? [1]
 
And gloomy, [2]
and it will have no brightness? [1]
21 שָׂנֵ֥אתִי מָאַ֖סְתִּי [2] Tip'cha
חַגֵּיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹ֥א אָרִ֖יחַ [2] Tip'cha
בְּעַצְּרֹתֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 21 I hate, I reject [2]
your feasts; [1]
 
and I do not delight [2]
in your assemblies. [1]
22 כִּ֣י אִם־תַּעֲלוּ־לִ֥י עֹל֛וֹת [3] Tevir
וּמִנְחֹתֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֣א אֶרְצֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְשֶׁ֥לֶם מְרִיאֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א אַבִּֽיט׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 22 For though you offer up to me burnt offerings [3]
and your grain offerings, [2]
I will not accept them; [1]
 
and the peace offerings of your fat animals [2]
I will not pay attention to. [1]
23 הָסֵ֥ר מֵעָלַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
הֲמ֣וֹן שִׁרֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
וְזִמְרַ֥ת נְבָלֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א אֶשְׁמָֽע׃ [1] Silluq

the noise of your songs! [1]
 
And the music of your harps [2]
I will not listen to. [1]
24 וְיִגַּ֥ל כַּמַּ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
מִשְׁפָּ֑ט [1] Etnachta
 
וּצְדָקָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כְּנַ֥חַל אֵיתָֽן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 24 But let it roll on like rivers, [2]
justice; [1]
 
and righteousness [2]
like a mighty stream. [1]
25 הַזְּבָחִ֨ים וּמִנְחָ֜ה [4] Geresh
הִֽגַּשְׁתֶּם־לִ֧י בַמִּדְבָּ֛ר [3] Tevir
אַרְבָּעִ֥ים שָׁנָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בֵּ֥ית יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 25 “Sacrifices and grain offerings [4]
did you bring to me in the wilderness [3]
forty years, [2]
O house of Israel? [1]
26 וּנְשָׂאתֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv
סִכּ֣וּת מַלְכְּכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
כִּיּ֣וּן צַלְמֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כּוֹכַב֙ [3] Pashta
אֱלֹ֣הֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר עֲשִׂיתֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
לָכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

the tent of your king [2]

the shrine of your images; [1]
 
the star [3]
your god [2]
 
which you have made [2]

מֵהָ֣לְאָה לְדַמָּ֑שֶׂק [1] Etnachta
 
אָמַ֛ר [3] Tevir
יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽי־צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
שְׁמֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
