1 “And at that time will arise Michael [4] the great prince, [3] over the sons of your people, [2 2] a time of distress [2] since there was a nation [2] that time; [1] your people will be delivered, [2] written in the book. [1] |
2 And multitudes [2] who sleep in the dust of the earth, [2] they will awake; [1] to everlasting life, [2] and everlasting contempt. [1] |
3 And those who are wise, [2] they will shine [2] like the brightness of the heavenly expanse; [1] many, [2] forever and ever. [1] ¶ |
4 But you O Daniel, [3] conceal the words [3] and seal up the book, [2] until the time of the end. [1] and knowledge will increase.” [1] |
5 Then I looked, [3 3] I Daniel, [2] two others [2] stood; [1] bank of the river [2] bank of the river. [1] |
6 And someone said [3] to the man [3] clothed in linen [2] the waters of the river; [1] the end of the wonders?” [1] |
| 7 וָאֶשְׁמַ֞ע [4] Gershayim אֶת־הָאִ֣ישׁ ׀ [4] Legarmeh לְב֣וּשׁ הַבַּדִּ֗ים [3] Revi'i לְמֵימֵ֣י הַיְאֹר֒ [2] Segol אֶל־הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef בְּחֵ֣י הָעוֹלָ֑ם [1] Etnachta וָחֵ֗צִי [3] Revi'i נַפֵּ֥ץ יַד־עַם־קֹ֖דֶשׁ [2] Tip'cha |
7 Then I heard [4] the man [4] clothed in linen [3] the waters of the river, [2] to the heavens, [2] by the one who lives forever; [1] and a half, [3] the breaking of the power of the holy people, [2] |
8 Now I heard [2] but I didn’t understand; [1] “O my lord, [2] what will be the outcome [2] of these things?” [1] |
[1] Silluq |
9 And he said, [2] “Go your way, Daniel; [1] are the words [2] until the time of the end. [1] |
10 Purified [4 4] and made white and refined [3] will be many, [2] and they will not understand, [2] any of the wicked; [1] they will understand. [1] |
11 And from the time [3] that the daily burnt offering is taken away, [2] is the desolating abomination; [1] one thousand [2] two hundred and ninety. [1] |
12 Blessed is the one who waits [2] and he arrives; [1] one thousand [2] three hundred [2] thirty and five. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
13 But you, [2] go your way until the end; [1] and then you will arise to your allotted portion [2] at the end of the days.” [1] |
