[1] Silluq |
4 I Nebuchadnezzar, [3] I was at ease [3] in my house [2] in my palace. [1] |
|||
[1] Silluq |
5 I saw a dream [2] and it made me afraid; [1] on my bed [2] they alarmed me. [1] |

6 So from me [3] a decree was made [2] all [2] the wise men of Babylon; [1] they might make known to me. [1] |

7 Then came in, [3] the magicians, [3] the enchanters, [2] and the astrologers; [1] I told [3] before them, [2] they couldn’t make known to me. [1] |
|||
8 But then at last, [4] Daniel came in before me [4] whose name is Belteshazzar, [3] after the name of my god, [2] a spirit of the holy gods [2] is in him; [1] before him I told, [1] |

9 “O Belteshazzar [3] chief of the magicians, [2] I, I know [3] a spirit of the holy gods [3] is in you, [2] don't baffle you; [1] and its interpretation, [2] tell. [1] |

31 While still [3] the word [3] was in the mouth of the king, [2] from the heavens it fell; [1] O king Nebuchadnezzar, [2] it has departed from you. [1] |

33 At that moment [3] the word, [3] it was fulfilled against Nebuchadnezzar, [2] he ate, [2] his body was drenched; [1] like that of eagles, it grew long, [2] and his nails like that of birds. [1] |

35 And all the inhabitants of the earth [3] are counted as nothing, [2] he does [3] with the army of the heavens [2] of the earth; [1] who can stop his hand, [2] “What have you done?” [1] |

36 At that time [4] my understanding, [4] it returned to me, [3] my majesty and my splendor, [3] it returned to me, [2] my counselors and my nobles [2] they sought out; [1] and still more greatness, [2] it was added to me. [1] |

37 Now [4] I, Nebuchadnezzar [3] the King of the heavens, [2] truth, [2] justice; [1] walk in pride, [2] to humble. [1] ¶ |
