דניאל 8 | Daniel 8 | |||
1 In year three [2] of the reign [2] of King Belshazzar; [1] it appeared to me, [3] I Daniel, [2] the one which had appeared to me [2] at the beginning. [1] |
2 And I saw [3] in the vision, [2] when I saw, [2] was in Susa the citadel [2] is in the province of Elam; [1] in the vision, [2] at the Ulai canal. [1] |
3 Then I lifted up my eyes [3] and I saw, [2] a ram [3] before the canal, [2] but the one [3] was higher than the other, [2] grew up [2] last. [1] |
4 I saw the ram [4] charging westward and northward [4] and southward, [3] could not stand before him, [2] from his hand; [1] and he magnified himself. [1] |
5 And I, [4] I was observing, [3] coming from the west [3] across the face of the whole earth, [2] the ground; [1] a prominent horn [2] was between his eyes. [1] |
6 And he came [3] to the ram [3 3] with the two horns [2] standing [2] before the canal; [1] in his powerful fury. [1] |
7 And I saw him [4] coming [4] up to the ram, [3] and he struck the ram, [2] his two horns, [2] in the ram [2] to stand before him; [1] and he trampled him, [2] the ram [2] from his hand. [1] |
8 Then the male goat, [2] he magnified himself exceedingly; [1] it was broken, [3] the great horn, [2] four prominent ones [3] in its place, [2] winds of the heavens. [1] |
9 And from one of them [2] a horn came forth, [2] small; [1] toward the south and toward the east, [2] and toward the beautiful land. [1] |
10 And it became great, [2] up to the host of the heavens; [1] some of the host and some of the stars, [2] and it trampled them. [1] |
11 And against the prince of the host [2] it magnified itself; [1] the continual burnt offering was taken away, [2] the place of his sanctuary. [1] |
12 And a host, [3] it will be given against the continual burnt offering [2] because of transgression; [1] to the ground, [2] and it will prosper. [1] |
13 Then I heard a holy one [2] speaking; [1] to the one who was speaking, [3] will be the vision of the continual burnt offering [3] and the desolating transgression, [2] and the sanctuary and host [2] to be trampled?” [1] |
[1] Silluq |
14 And he said to me, [2] evening morning [2] and three hundred; [1] the sanctuary.” [1] |
15 וַיְהִ֗י [3] Revi'i בִּרְאֹתִ֛י [3] Tevir אֲנִ֥י דָנִיֵּ֖אל [2] Tip'cha אֶת־הֶחָז֑וֹן [1] Etnachta עֹמֵ֥ד לְנֶגְדִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha כְּמַרְאֵה־גָֽבֶר׃ [1] Silluq |
15 And it was, [3] when I had seen, [3] I Daniel, [2] the vision; [1] standing before me [2] was one who looked like a man. [1] |
16 And I heard the voice of a man [2] between the banks of the Ulai; [1] and he said, [2] explain to this one [2] the vision.” [1] |
17 So he came [3] near where I stood, [2] and I fell [2] on my face; [1] “Understand, O son of man, [2] for the time of the end is the vision.” [1] |
18 And when he spoke with me [2] I fell into a deep sleep with my face [2] to the ground; [1] and he made me stand up [2] in my place. [1] |
19 And he said, [3 3] “Behold, I will make known to you [2] at the end of the indignation; [1] it is for the appointed time of the end. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
20 The ram which you saw [2] with the two horns; [1] of Media and Persia. [1] |
21 And the shaggy male goat [2] is the king of Greece; [1] which is between his eyes, [2] is the first king. [1] |
22 And that which was broken, [2] where four arose [2] in its place; [1] from a nation they will arise, [2] but not with his power. [1] |
23 “And at the end [3] of their reign, [2] are the transgressors; [1] a king of fierce face, [2] and understanding of intrigue. [1] |
24 And his power will be mighty, [3] but not by his own power, [2] and he will succeed in what he does; [1] and a holy people. [1] |
25 And by his shrewdness [3] he will cause deceit to prosper [3] in his hand, [2] and in prosperity [2] he will destroy many; [1] he will stand - [2] he will be broken. [1] |
26 “Now the vision of the evening and the morning [3] which has been told, [2] it is true; [1] keep secret the vision, [2] it will be after many days.” [1] |
27 And I Daniel, [3] I was exhausted and I was sick [3 3] for some days, [2] and I did [2] the work of the king; [1] and no one could explain it. [1] ¶ |
