	¹וּזְכֹר֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־בּ֣וֹרְאֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef בִּימֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha בְּחוּרֹתֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta עַ֣ד אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹא־יָבֹ֙אוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta יְמֵ֣י הָֽרָעָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְהִגִּ֣יעוּ שָׁנִ֔ים [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֣ר תֹּאמַ֔ר [2] Zaqef אֵֽין־לִ֥י בָהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha חֵֽפֶץ׃ [1] Silluq		¹So remember [3] your Creator [2] in the days [2] of your youth; [1] when not yet have they come, [3 3] the evil days, [2] or have they arrived, the years, [2] when you will say, [2] “I have not in them [2] pleasure,” [1]

	³בַּיּ֗וֹם [3] Revi'i שֶׁיָּזֻ֙עוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta שֹׁמְרֵ֣י הַבַּ֔יִת [2] Zaqef וְהִֽתְעַוְּת֖וּ [2] Tip'cha אַנְשֵׁ֣י הֶחָ֑יִל [1] Etnachta וּבָטְל֤וּ הַטֹּֽחֲנוֹת֙ [3] Pashta כִּ֣י מִעֵ֔טוּ [2] Zaqef וְחָשְׁכ֥וּ הָרֹא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha בָּאֲרֻבּֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq		³in the day [3] when they tremble, [3 3] the keepers of the house, [2] and they bow themselves, [2] the strong men; [1] and the grinders cease [3] because they have become few, [2] and those who look out grow dim [2] in the windows, [1]
	⁴וְסֻגְּר֤וּ דְלָתַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta בַּשּׁ֔וּק [2] Zaqef בִּשְׁפַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha ק֣וֹל הַֽטַּחֲנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta וְיָקוּם֙ [3] Pashta לְק֣וֹל הַצִּפּ֔וֹר [2] Zaqef וְיִשַּׁ֖חוּ [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־בְּנ֥וֹת הַשִּֽׁיר׃ [1] Silluq		⁴when the doors are shut [3 3] in the street, [2] when low is [2] the sound of the grinding mill; [1] and one rises up [3] to the sound of a bird, [2] and they are brought low, [2] all the daughters of song, [1]
	⁵גַּ֣ם מִגָּבֹ֤הַּ יִרָ֙אוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta וְחַתְחַתִּ֣ים בַּדֶּ֔רֶךְ [2] Zaqef וְיָנֵ֤אץ הַשָּׁקֵד֙ [3] Pashta וְיִסְתַּבֵּ֣ל הֶֽחָגָ֔ב [2] Zaqef וְתָפֵ֖ר [2] Tip'cha הָֽאֲבִיּוֹנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta כִּֽי־הֹלֵ֤ךְ הָאָדָם֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־בֵּ֣ית עוֹלָמ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef וְסָבְב֥וּ בַשּׁ֖וּק [2] Tip'cha הַסּוֹפְדִֽים׃ [1] Silluq		⁵and they are afraid of heights [3 3] and of dangers on the road, [2] and the almond tree blossoms [3] and the grasshopper drags itself along, [2] and it fails, [2] the caper berry; [1] for man is going [3] to his eternal home, [2] and they go about the street, [2] the mourners, [1]
	⁶עַ֣ד אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־ירחק *יֵרָתֵק֙ [3] Pashta חֶ֣בֶל הַכֶּ֔סֶף [2] Zaqef וְתָר֖וּץ [2] Tip'cha גֻּלַּ֣ת הַזָּהָ֑ב [1] Etnachta וְתִשָּׁ֤בֶר כַּד֙ [3] Pashta עַל־הַמַּבּ֔וּעַ [2] Zaqef וְנָרֹ֥ץ הַגַּלְגַּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha אֶל־הַבּֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq		⁶when not yet has it been severed, [3] the silver cord, [2] or crushed, [2] the golden bowl; [1] or has the pitcher been broken [3] at the spring, [2] or the wheel broken [2] at the cistern, [1]
	⁷וְיָשֹׁ֧ב הֶעָפָ֛ר [3] Tevir עַל־הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha כְּשֶׁהָיָ֑ה [1] Etnachta וְהָר֣וּחַ תָּשׁ֔וּב [2] Zaqef אֶל־הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha אֲשֶׁ֥ר נְתָנָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq		⁷Then shall the dust return [3] to the earth [2] just as it was; [1] and shall the spirit return [2] to God [2] who gave it. [1]
	⁸הֲבֵ֧ל הֲבָלִ֛ים [3] Tevir אָמַ֥ר הַקּוֹהֶ֖לֶת [2] Tip'cha הַכֹּ֥ל הָֽבֶל׃ [1] Silluq		⁸“Futility of futilities,” [3] says Kohelet, [2] “all is futility!” [1]
	⁹וְיֹתֵ֕ר [2] ZaqefG שֶׁהָיָ֥ה קֹהֶ֖לֶת [2] Tip'cha חָכָ֑ם [1] Etnachta ע֗וֹד [3] Revi'i לִמַּד־דַּ֙עַת֙ [3 3] Pashta אֶת־הָעָ֔ם [2] Zaqef וְאִזֵּ֣ן וְחִקֵּ֔ר [2] Zaqef תִּקֵּ֖ן [2] Tip'cha מְשָׁלִ֥ים הַרְבֵּֽה׃ [1] Silluq		⁹And since [2] Kohelet was [2] wise; [1] also [3] he taught knowledge [3 3] to the people, [2] and he pondered and he sought out, [2] he set in order [2] many proverbs. [1]
	¹⁰בִּקֵּ֣שׁ קֹהֶ֔לֶת [2] Zaqef לִמְצֹ֖א [2] Tip'cha דִּבְרֵי־חֵ֑פֶץ [1] Etnachta וְכָת֥וּב יֹ֖שֶׁר [2] Tip'cha דִּבְרֵ֥י אֱמֶֽת׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁰Kohelet sought [2] to find [2] pleasing words; [1] and uprightly written [2] words of truth. [1]
	¹¹דִּבְרֵ֤י חֲכָמִים֙ [3] Pashta כַּדָּ֣רְבֹנ֔וֹת [2] Zaqef וּֽכְמַשְׂמְר֥וֹת נְטוּעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha בַּעֲלֵ֣י אֲסֻפּ֑וֹת [1] Etnachta נִתְּנ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha מֵרֹעֶ֥ה אֶחָֽד׃ [1] Silluq		¹¹The words of the wise [3] are like goads, [2] and like nails firmly fixed [2] are the collected sayings; [1] which are given [2] from one shepherd. [1]
	¹²וְיֹתֵ֥ר מֵהֵ֖מָּה [2] Tip'cha בְּנִ֣י הִזָּהֵ֑ר [1] Etnachta עֲשׂ֨וֹת סְפָרִ֤ים הַרְבֵּה֙ [3] Pashta אֵ֣ין קֵ֔ץ [2] Zaqef וְלַ֥הַג הַרְבֵּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha יְגִעַ֥ת בָּשָֽׂר׃ [1] Silluq		¹²But beyond them [2] my son be warned; [1] to the making of many books [3] there is no end, [2] and much study [2] is a weariness of the flesh. [1]
	¹³ס֥וֹף דָּבָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha הַכֹּ֣ל נִשְׁמָ֑ע [1] Etnachta אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִ֤ים יְרָא֙ [3] Pashta וְאֶת־מִצְוֺתָ֣יו שְׁמ֔וֹר [2] Zaqef כִּי־זֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־הָאָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq		¹³The end of the matter, [2] all having been heard; [1] fear God [3] and keep his commandments, [2] for this [2] is (for) all mankind, [1]
	¹⁴כִּ֚י [3] Yetiv אֶת־כׇּל־מַֽעֲשֶׂ֔ה [2] Zaqef הָאֱלֹהִ֛ים [3] Tevir יָבִ֥א בְמִשְׁפָּ֖ט [2] Tip'cha עַ֣ל כׇּל־נֶעְלָ֑ם [1] Etnachta אִם־ט֖וֹב [2] Tip'cha וְאִם־רָֽע׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁴for [3] every deed, [2] God, [3] he will bring into judgment, [2] including every hidden thing; [1] whether good [2] or evil. [1]
