עַ֣ד אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹא־יָבֹ֙אוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
יְמֵ֣י הָֽרָעָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִגִּ֣יעוּ שָׁנִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
אֲשֶׁ֣ר תֹּאמַ֔ר [2] Zaqef
אֵֽין־לִ֥י בָהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha

וְיָקוּם֙ [3] Pashta

וְיִשַּׁ֖חוּ [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־בְּנ֥וֹת הַשִּֽׁיר׃ [1] Silluq

וְחַתְחַתִּ֣ים בַּדֶּ֔רֶךְ [2] Zaqef
 
וְיָנֵ֤אץ הַשָּׁקֵד֙ [3] Pashta
וְיִסְתַּבֵּ֣ל הֶֽחָגָ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
וְתָפֵ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
הָֽאֲבִיּוֹנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־הֹלֵ֤ךְ הָאָדָם֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־בֵּ֣ית עוֹלָמ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְסָבְב֥וּ בַשּׁ֖וּק [2] Tip'cha
הַסּוֹפְדִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

and of dangers on the road, [2]
 
and the almond tree blossoms [3]
and the grasshopper drags itself along, [2]
 
and it fails, [2]
the caper berry; [1]

and they go about the street, [2]
the mourners, [1]
6 עַ֣ד אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא־*ירחק **יֵרָתֵק֙ [3] Pashta

וְתָר֖וּץ [2] Tip'cha
גֻּלַּ֣ת הַזָּהָ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
וְתִשָּׁ֤בֶר כַּד֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־הַמַּבּ֔וּעַ [2] Zaqef
 
וְנָרֹ֥ץ הַגַּלְגַּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha

7 וְיָשֹׁ֧ב הֶעָפָ֛ר [3] Tevir
עַל־הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
כְּשֶׁהָיָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָר֣וּחַ תָּשׁ֔וּב [2] Zaqef
אֶל־הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר נְתָנָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq

and shall the spirit return [2]

וּֽכְמַשְׂמְר֥וֹת נְטוּעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
בַּעֲלֵ֣י אֲסֻפּ֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
נִתְּנ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
מֵרֹעֶ֥ה אֶחָֽד׃ [1] Silluq

are like goads, [2]
 
and like nails firmly fixed [2]

עֲשׂ֨וֹת סְפָרִ֤ים הַרְבֵּה֙ [3] Pashta
אֵ֣ין קֵ֔ץ [2] Zaqef
 
וְלַ֥הַג הַרְבֵּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
יְגִעַ֥ת בָּשָֽׂר׃ [1] Silluq

to the making of many books [3]
there is no end, [2]
 
and much study [2]
is a weariness of the flesh. [1]

אֶת־הָאֱלֹהִ֤ים יְרָא֙ [3] Pashta
וְאֶת־מִצְוֺתָ֣יו שְׁמ֔וֹר [2] Zaqef
 
כִּי־זֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־הָאָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

all having been heard; [1]
 
fear God [3]
and keep his commandments, [2]

is (for) all mankind, [1]
