	³בִּשְׁנַ֤ת שָׁלוֹשׁ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta לְמׇלְכ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef עָשָׂ֣ה מִשְׁתֶּ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef לְכׇל־שָׂרָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha וַעֲבָדָ֑יו [1] Etnachta חֵ֣יל ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh פָּרַ֣ס וּמָדַ֗י [3] Munach Revi'a הַֽפַּרְתְּמִ֛ים [3] Tevir וְשָׂרֵ֥י הַמְּדִינ֖וֹת [2] Merkha Tip'cha לְפָנָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq		³in year three [3] of his reign, [2] he made a feast [2] for all his officials [2] and his servants; [1] the army [4] of Persia and Media, [3] the nobles [3] and the officials of the provinces, [2] before him, [1]
	⁴בְּהַרְאֹת֗וֹ [3] Revi'a אֶת־עֹ֙שֶׁר֙ [3] Pashta כְּב֣וֹד מַלְכוּת֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef וְאֶ֨ת־יְקָ֔ר [2] Qadma Zaqef תִּפְאֶ֖רֶת [2] Tip'cha גְּדוּלָּת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta יָמִ֣ים רַבִּ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef שְׁמוֹנִ֥ים וּמְאַ֖ת [2] Merkha Tip'cha יֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq		⁴when he displayed [3] the riches [3] of the splendor of his kingdom, [2] and the honor [2] of the glory [2] of his greatness; [1] many days, [2] eighty and one hundred [2] days. [1]
	⁵וּבִמְל֣וֹאת ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh הַיָּמִ֣ים הָאֵ֗לֶּה [3] Munach Revi'a עָשָׂ֣ה הַמֶּ֡לֶךְ [4] Munach Pazer לְכׇל־הָעָ֣ם הַנִּמְצְאִים֩ בְּשׁוּשַׁ֨ן הַבִּירָ֜ה [4] Munach TelishaQ Qadma Geresh לְמִגָּ֧דוֹל וְעַד־קָטָ֛ן [3] Darga Tevir מִשְׁתֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha שִׁבְעַ֣ת יָמִ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta בַּחֲצַ֕ר [2] ZaqefG גִּנַּ֥ת בִּיתַ֖ן [2] Merkha Tip'cha הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq		⁵And when were completed [4] these days, [3] the king made [4] for all the people who were present in Susa the palace [4] both great and small, [3] a feast, [2] seven days; [1] in the court [2] of the garden of the palace [2] of the king. [1]
	⁶ח֣וּר ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh כַּרְפַּ֣ס וּתְכֵ֗לֶת [3] Munach Revi'a אָחוּז֙ [3] Pashta בְּחַבְלֵי־ב֣וּץ וְאַרְגָּמָ֔ן [2] Munach Zaqef עַל־גְּלִ֥ילֵי כֶ֖סֶף [2] Merkha Tip'cha וְעַמּ֣וּדֵי שֵׁ֑שׁ [1] Munach Etnachta מִטּ֣וֹת ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh זָהָ֣ב וָכֶ֗סֶף [3] Munach Revi'a עַ֛ל [3] Tevir רִֽצְפַ֥ת בַּהַט־וָשֵׁ֖שׁ [2] Merkha Tip'cha וְדַ֥ר וְסֹחָֽרֶת׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁶White material [4] cotton and violet material [3] was fastened [3] with cords of fine linen and purple, [2] on rods of silver [2] and pillars of marble. [1] Couches [4] of gold and silver [3] were on [3] a pavement of porphyry and marble, [2] and mother-of-pearl and paving stone. [1]
	⁷וְהַשְׁקוֹת֙ [3] Pashta בִּכְלֵ֣י זָהָ֔ב [2] Munach Zaqef וְכֵלִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha מִכֵּלִ֣ים שׁוֹנִ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta וְיֵ֥ין מַלְכ֛וּת [3] Merkha Tevir רָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha כְּיַ֥ד הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁷And they gave drinks [3] in vessels of gold, [2] and vessels [2] from vessels were different; [1] and royal wine [3] in abundance, [2] according to the bounty of the king. [1]
	⁸וְהַשְּׁתִיָּ֥ה כַדָּ֖ת [2] Merkha Tip'cha אֵ֣ין אֹנֵ֑ס [1] Munach Etnachta כִּי־כֵ֣ן ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh יִסַּ֣ד הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ [3] Munach Revi'a עַ֚ל [3] Yetiv כׇּל־רַ֣ב בֵּית֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha כִּרְצ֥וֹן אִישׁ־וָאִֽישׁ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		⁸And the drinking in accordance with the law, [2] no one was compelled; [1] for this instruction [4] the king had placed [3] on [3] every official of his house, [2] to do [2] according to the pleasure of each man. [1]
	⁹גַּ֚ם [3] Yetiv וַשְׁתִּ֣י הַמַּלְכָּ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef עָשְׂתָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha מִשְׁתֵּ֣ה נָשִׁ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta בֵּ֚ית [3] Yetiv הַמַּלְכ֔וּת [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha לַמֶּ֥לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֽוֹשׁ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq ס		⁹Also [3] Vashti the queen, [2] she made [2] a feast (for the) women; [1] (in) the house [3] of royalty [2] which [2] belonged to King Ahasuerus. 	¹¹לְ֠הָבִ֠יא [4] TelishaG אֶת־וַשְׁתִּ֧י הַמַּלְכָּ֛ה [3] Darga Tevir לִפְנֵ֥י הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Merkha Tip'cha בְּכֶ֣תֶר מַלְכ֑וּת [1] Munach Etnachta לְהַרְא֨וֹת הָֽעַמִּ֤ים וְהַשָּׂרִים֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta אֶת־יׇפְיָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef כִּֽי־טוֹבַ֥ת מַרְאֶ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha הִֽיא׃ [1] Silluq		¹¹to bring [4] Vashti the queen [3] before the king [2] with a royal crown; [1] to show the people and the officials [3] her beauty, [2] for good of appearance [2] was she. [1]
	¹²וַתְּמָאֵ֞ן [4] Gershayim הַמַּלְכָּ֣ה וַשְׁתִּ֗י [3] Munach Revi'a לָבוֹא֙ [3] Pashta בִּדְבַ֣ר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ [2] Munach Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha בְּיַ֣ד הַסָּרִיסִ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta וַיִּקְצֹ֤ף הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta מְאֹ֔ד [2] Zaqef וַחֲמָת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha בָּעֲרָ֥ה בֽוֹ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹²But she refused, [4] the queen Vashti, [3] to come [3] at the word of the king, [2] which [2] was by the hand of the eunuchs; [1] and the king was angry [3] exceedingly, [2] and his rage, [2] it burned in him. [1]
	¹³וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ [2] Munach Zaqef לַחֲכָמִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha יֹדְעֵ֣י הָֽעִתִּ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta כִּי־כֵן֙ [3] Pashta דְּבַ֣ר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ [2] Munach Zaqef לִפְנֵ֕י [2] ZaqefG כׇּל־יֹדְעֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha דָּ֥ת וָדִֽין׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹³So the king said [2] to the wise men [2] who knew the times; [1] (for thus [3] was the custom of the king, [2] to consult [2] all who knew [2] law and judgment, [1]
	¹⁴וְהַקָּרֹ֣ב אֵלָ֗יו [3] Munach Revi'a כַּרְשְׁנָ֤א שֵׁתָר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אַדְמָ֣תָא תַרְשִׁ֔ישׁ [2] Munach Zaqef מֶ֥רֶס מַרְסְנָ֖א [2] Merkha Tip'cha מְמוּכָ֑ן [1] Etnachta שִׁבְעַ֞ת [4] Gershayim שָׂרֵ֣י ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh פָּרַ֣ס וּמָדַ֗י [3] Munach Revi'a רֹאֵי֙ [3] Pashta פְּנֵ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ [2] Munach Zaqef הַיֹּשְׁבִ֥ים רִאשֹׁנָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha בַּמַּלְכֽוּת׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁴and the ones close to him [3] were Carshena, Shethar, [3] Admatha, Tarshish, [2] Meres, Marsena, [2] Memucan; [1] the seven, [4] the officials [4] of Persia and Media, [3] who saw [3] the face of the king, [2] who sat first [2] in the kingdom), [1]
	¹⁵כְּדָת֙ [3] Pashta מַֽה־לַּעֲשׂ֔וֹת [2] Zaqef בַּמַּלְכָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וַשְׁתִּ֑י [1] Etnachta עַ֣ל ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־עָשְׂתָ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a אֶֽת־מַאֲמַר֙ [3] Pashta הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵר֔וֹשׁ [2] Munach Zaqef בְּיַ֖ד [2] Tip'cha הַסָּרִיסִֽים׃ [1] Silluq פ		¹⁵“According to law [3] what shall be done [2] with the Queen [2] Vashti; [1] seeing [4] that she didn't follow [3] the command [3] of the King Ahasuerus [2] by the hand [2] of the eunuchs?” [1] ¶
	¹⁶וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מומכן *מְמוּכָ֗ן [3] Munach Revi'a לִפְנֵ֤י הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וְהַשָּׂרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef לֹ֤א עַל־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta לְבַדּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef עָוְתָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וַשְׁתִּ֣י הַמַּלְכָּ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta כִּ֤י עַל־כׇּל־הַשָּׂרִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וְעַל־כׇּל־הָ֣עַמִּ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֕ר [2] ZaqefG בְּכׇל־מְדִינ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵרֽוֹשׁ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹⁶And Memucan said [3] before the king [3] and the officials, [2] “Not against the king, [3] him alone, [2] has she done wrong, [2] Vashti the queen; [1] but against all the officials [3] and against all the people, [2] who [2] are in all the provinces [2] of the King Ahasuerus. [1]
	¹⁷כִּֽי־יֵצֵ֤א דְבַר־הַמַּלְכָּה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta עַל־כׇּל־הַנָּשִׁ֔ים [2] Zaqef לְהַבְז֥וֹת בַּעְלֵיהֶ֖ן [2] Merkha Tip'cha בְּעֵינֵיהֶ֑ן [1] Etnachta בְּאׇמְרָ֗ם [3] Revi'a הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵר֡וֹשׁ [4] Munach Pazer אָמַ֞ר [4] Gershayim לְהָבִ֨יא אֶת־וַשְׁתִּ֧י הַמַּלְכָּ֛ה [3] Qadma Darga Tevir לְפָנָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha וְלֹא־בָֽאָה׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁷For this matter of the queen will go forth [3] to all the women, [2] causing their husbands to be despised [2] in their eyes; [1] when it is reported, [3] ‘King Ahasuerus, [4] he commanded [4] that Vashti the queen be brought [3] before him, [2] but she didn’t come.’ [1]
	¹⁸וְֽהַיּ֨וֹם הַזֶּ֜ה [4] Qadma Geresh תֹּאמַ֣רְנָה ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh שָׂר֣וֹת פָּֽרַס־וּמָדַ֗י [3] Munach Revi'a אֲשֶׁ֤ר שָֽׁמְעוּ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אֶת־דְּבַ֣ר הַמַּלְכָּ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef לְכֹ֖ל [2] Tip'cha שָׂרֵ֣י הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ [1] Munach Etnachta וּכְדַ֖י [2] Tip'cha בִּזָּי֥וֹן וָקָֽצֶף׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹⁸And this day [4] they will report, [4] the noble ladies of Persia and Media [3] who have heard [3] the matter of the queen, [2] to all [2] the officials of the king; [1] and (this) will cause much [2] contempt and anger. [1]
	¹⁹אִם־עַל־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ ט֗וֹב [3] Munach Revi'a יֵצֵ֤א דְבַר־מַלְכוּת֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta מִלְּפָנָ֔יו [2] Zaqef וְיִכָּתֵ֛ב [3] Tevir בְּדָתֵ֥י פָֽרַס־וּמָדַ֖י [2] Merkha Tip'cha וְלֹ֣א יַעֲב֑וֹר [1] Munach Etnachta אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹֽא־תָב֜וֹא [4] Qadma Geresh וַשְׁתִּ֗י [3] Revi'a לִפְנֵי֙ [3] Pashta הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אֲחַשְׁוֵר֔וֹשׁ [2] Munach Zaqef וּמַלְכוּתָהּ֙ [3] Pashta יִתֵּ֣ן הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ [2] Munach Zaqef לִרְעוּתָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha הַטּוֹבָ֥ה מִמֶּֽנָּה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		¹⁹If it seems good to the king, [3] let a royal commandment go forth [3] from before him, [2] and let it be written [3] in the laws of Persia and Media [2] so that it cannot be altered; [1] that she will not come, [4] Vashti, [3] before [3] King Ahasuerus, [2] and her queenhood [3] let the king give [2] to another [2] who is better than she. [1]
	²⁰וְנִשְׁמַע֩ פִּתְגָ֨ם הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ אֲשֶֽׁר־יַעֲשֶׂה֙ [3] TelishaQ Qadma Mapakh Pashta בְּכׇל־מַלְכוּת֔וֹ [2] Zaqef כִּ֥י רַבָּ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha הִ֑יא [1] Etnachta וְכׇל־הַנָּשִׁ֗ים [3] Revi'a יִתְּנ֤וּ יְקָר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta לְבַעְלֵיהֶ֔ן [2] Zaqef לְמִגָּד֖וֹל [2] Tip'cha וְעַד־קָטָֽן׃ [1] Silluq		²⁰And when the decree of the king which he shall make is heard [3] throughout all his kingdom, [2] for great [2] it is; [1] all the women, [3] they will give honor [3] to their husbands, [2] both great [2] and small.” [1]
	²¹וַיִּיטַב֙ [3] Pashta הַדָּבָ֔ר [2] Zaqef בְּעֵינֵ֥י הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Merkha Tip'cha וְהַשָּׂרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Merkha Tip'cha כִּדְבַ֥ר מְמוּכָֽן׃ [1] Merkha Silluq		²¹And it was pleasing, [3] the advice [2] in the eyes of the king [2] and the officials; [1] and the king did [2] according to the word of Memucan, [1]
	²²וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח סְפָרִים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta אֶל־כׇּל־מְדִינ֣וֹת הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ [2] Munach Zaqef אֶל־מְדִינָ֤ה וּמְדִינָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta כִּכְתָבָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef וְאֶל־עַ֥ם וָעָ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha כִּלְשׁוֹנ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta לִהְי֤וֹת כׇּל־אִישׁ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta שֹׂרֵ֣ר בְּבֵית֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef וּמְדַבֵּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha כִּלְשׁ֥וֹן עַמּֽוֹ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq פ		²²and he sent out letters [3] to all the provinces of the king, [2] to each province [3] according to its writing, [2] and to each people [2] according to its language; [1] that every man be [3] ruler in his own household, [2] and speaking [2] according to the language of his people.
