קהלת 6 | Ecclesiastes 6 | |||
[1] Silluq |
1 There is a misery [2] which I have seen [2] under the sun; [1] on mankind, [1] |
2 a man to whom God gives [4] wealth and riches and honor, [4] so that he lacks nothing for his soul [4] of all that he desires, [3] to eat from it, [2] a foreigner, [2] he eats it; [1] and a grievous evil [2] it is. [1] |
3 If a man should father a hundred children [4] and live many years, [4] so that many [4] are the days of his years, [3] is not satisfied from the goodness, [2] he has none; [1] better off than he [2] is a stillborn child, [1] |
[1] Silluq |
4 for in futility it comes, [2] and in darkness it departs; [1] its name is covered. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
5 Though the sun it has not seen [2] and it did not know; [1] more than the other. [1] |
6 Even if he lived [3] a thousand years [3] twice, [2] he fails to enjoy; [1] to the same place [2] all go? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
7 All the labor of mankind [2] is for his mouth; [1] it is not satisfied. [1] |
8 For [3] what advantage does the wise have [2] over the fool? [1] how to walk [2] before the living? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
9 Better [3] is what the eyes see [2] than the wandering of desire; [1] and a striving after wind. [1] |
10 Whatever has come to be, [3] already [3] it has been named [2] what mankind is; [1] with one who is mightier [2] than he. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
11 When [3] there are many words, [2] futility increases; [1] does a man have? [1] |
12 For who knows what is good for a man [4] in life, [3] days of his fleeting life, [2] who can tell a man [2] under the sun? [1] |
