בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֗י [3] Revi'i
 
וַתִּלְבַּ֤שׁ אֶסְתֵּר֙ [3] Pashta
מַלְכ֔וּת [2] Zaqef
 
וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֞ד [4] Gershayim
בַּחֲצַ֤ר בֵּית־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3 3] Pashta
הַפְּנִימִ֔ית [2] Zaqef
 
נֹ֖כַח [2] Tip'cha
בֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ [1] Etnachta
 
וְ֠הַמֶּ֠לֶךְ [4 4] TelishaG
יוֹשֵׁ֞ב [4] Gershayim
עַל־כִּסֵּ֤א מַלְכוּתוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
בְּבֵ֣ית הַמַּלְכ֔וּת [2] Zaqef
 
נֹ֖כַח [2] Tip'cha
פֶּ֥תַח הַבָּֽיִת׃ [1] Silluq

Esther put on [3]
royal clothing, [2]
 
and she stood [4]
in the court of the house of the king, [3 3]
the inner, [2]
 
in front of [2]
the house of the king; [1]
 
and the king [4 4]
was sitting [4]
on his royal throne [3]
in the royal house, [2]
 
in front of [2]
the entrance of the house. [1]
2 וַיְהִי֩ כִרְא֨וֹת הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ [4] Geresh
אֶת־אֶסְתֵּ֣ר הַמַּלְכָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
עֹמֶ֙דֶת֙ [3 3] Pashta
בֶּֽחָצֵ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
נָשְׂאָ֥ה חֵ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
בְּעֵינָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וַיּ֨וֹשֶׁט הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ [4] Geresh
לְאֶסְתֵּ֗ר [3] Revi'i
 
אֶת־שַׁרְבִ֤יט הַזָּהָב֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּיָד֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וַתִּקְרַ֣ב אֶסְתֵּ֔ר [2] Zaqef
וַתִּגַּ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
בְּרֹ֥אשׁ הַשַּׁרְבִֽיט׃ [1] Silluq

standing [3 3]
in the court, [2]
 
she obtained favor [2]
in his eyes; [1]
 
and the king extended [4]
to Esther [3]
 
the golden scepter [3]
that was in his hand, [2]
 
so Esther drew near, [2]
and she touched [2]
the top of the scepter. [1]

3 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לָהּ֙ [3] Pashta
הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ [2] Zaqef
 
מַה־לָּ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
אֶסְתֵּ֣ר הַמַּלְכָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וּמַה־בַּקָּשָׁתֵ֛ךְ [3] Tevir
עַד־חֲצִ֥י הַמַּלְכ֖וּת [2] Tip'cha
וְיִנָּ֥תֵֽן לָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq

the king, [2]
 
“What will you have, [2]
O Esther the queen; [1]
 
and what is your request? [3]
Up to half of the kingdom, [2]
and it shall be given to you.” [1]
4 וַתֹּ֣אמֶר אֶסְתֵּ֔ר [2] Zaqef
אִם־עַל־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Tip'cha
ט֑וֹב [1] Etnachta
 
יָב֨וֹא הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ וְהָמָן֙ [3] Pashta
הַיּ֔וֹם [2] Zaqef
 
אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁר־עָשִׂ֥יתִי לֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

“If to the king it seems [2]
good; [1]
 
let the king and Haman come [3]
this day, [2]
 
to the banquet [2]
which I have prepared for him.” [1]
5 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ [2] Zaqef
 
מַהֲרוּ֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־הָמָ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
לַעֲשׂ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־דְּבַ֣ר אֶסְתֵּ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּבֹ֤א הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְהָמָ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁר־עָשְׂתָ֥ה אֶסְתֵּֽר׃ [1] Silluq

“Bring quickly [3]
Haman, [2]
 
to be done [2]
the word of Esther.” [1]
 
So the king came, [3 3]
and Haman, [2]
 
to the banquet [2]
which Esther had prepared. [1]
6 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ לְאֶסְתֵּר֙ [3] Pashta
בְּמִשְׁתֵּ֣ה הַיַּ֔יִן [2] Zaqef
 
מַה־שְּׁאֵלָתֵ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
וְיִנָּ֣תֵֽן לָ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta
 
וּמַה־בַּקָּשָׁתֵ֛ךְ [3] Tevir
עַד־חֲצִ֥י הַמַּלְכ֖וּת [2] Tip'cha
וְתֵעָֽשׂ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 6 And the king said to Esther [3]
at the banquet of wine, [2]
 
“What is your petition? [2]
and it shall be given to you; [1]
 
and what is your request? [3]
up to half of the kingdom [2]
and it shall be done.” [1]
7 וַתַּ֥עַן אֶסְתֵּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
וַתֹּאמַ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
שְׁאֵלָתִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וּבַקָּשָׁתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 7 And Esther answered [2]
and she said; [1]
 
“My petition [2]
and my request, [1]
8 אִם־מָצָ֨אתִי חֵ֜ן [4] Geresh
בְּעֵינֵ֣י הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ [3] Revi'i
 
וְאִם־עַל־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3 3] Pashta
ט֔וֹב [2] Zaqef
 
לָתֵת֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־שְׁאֵ֣לָתִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְלַעֲשׂ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־בַּקָּשָׁתִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
יָב֧וֹא הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ וְהָמָ֗ן [3] Revi'i
אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּה֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֣ה לָהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וּמָחָ֥ר אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כִּדְבַ֥ר הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq

in the eyes of the king, [3]
 
and if it seems to the king [3 3]
good, [2]
 
to grant [3]
my petition [2]
 
and to do [2]
what I request; [1]
 
let the king and Haman come, [3]
to the banquet [3]
which I will prepare for them, [2]
 
and tomorrow I will do [2]
as the king has said.” [1]
9 וַיֵּצֵ֤א הָמָן֙ [3] Pashta
בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא [2] Zaqef
 
שָׂמֵ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha
וְט֣וֹב לֵ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
וְכִרְאוֹת֩ הָמָ֨ן אֶֽת־מׇרְדֳּכַ֜י [4] Geresh
בְּשַׁ֣עַר הַמֶּ֗לֶךְ [3] Revi'i
 
וְלֹא־קָם֙ [3] Pashta
וְלֹא־זָ֣ע מִמֶּ֔נּוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּמָּלֵ֥א הָמָ֛ן [3] Tevir
עַֽל־מׇרְדֳּכַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
חֵמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

that day, [2]
 
joyful [2]
and glad of heart; [1]
 
but when Haman saw Mordecai [4]
in the gate of the king, [3]
 
that he didn’t stand up [3]
and he didn't tremble before him, [2]
 
Haman was filled [3]
toward Mordecai [2]
with rage. [1]
10 וַיִּתְאַפַּ֣ק הָמָ֔ן [2] Zaqef
וַיָּב֖וֹא [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־בֵּית֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּשְׁלַ֛ח [3] Tevir
וַיָּבֵ֥א אֶת־אֹהֲבָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
וְאֶת־זֶ֥רֶשׁ אִשְׁתּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 10 But Haman restrained himself, [2]
and he went [2]
to his house; [1]
 
and he sent [3]
and he gathered his friends, [2]
and Zeresh his wife. [1]
11 וַיְסַפֵּ֨ר לָהֶ֥ם הָמָ֛ן [3] Tevir
אֶת־כְּב֥וֹד עׇשְׁר֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
וְרֹ֣ב בָּנָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וְאֵת֩ כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֨ר גִּדְּל֤וֹ הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְאֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁ֣ר נִשְּׂא֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
עַל־הַשָּׂרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וְעַבְדֵ֥י הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 11 And Haman recounted to them [3]
the splendor of his wealth, [2]
and the multitude of his sons; [1]
 
and all the things in which the king had promoted him [3 3]
and that he had exalted him [2]
 
above the officials [2]
and the servants of the king. [1]
12 וַיֹּ֘אמֶר֮ [3 3] Zarqa
הָמָן֒ [2] Segol
 
אַ֣ף לֹא־הֵבִ֩יאָה֩ אֶסְתֵּ֨ר הַמַּלְכָּ֧ה עִם־הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ [3] Tevir
אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּ֥ה אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֖תָה [2] Tip'cha
כִּ֣י אִם־אוֹתִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וְגַם־לְמָחָ֛ר [3] Tevir
אֲנִ֥י קָֽרוּא־לָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
עִם־הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq

Haman, [2]
 
“And Esther the queen let no man come with the king [3]
to the banquet which she had prepared, [2]
but myself; [1]
 
and also tomorrow [3]
I am invited by her, [2]
with the king. [1]
13 וְכׇל־זֶ֕ה [2] ZaqefG
אֵינֶ֥נּוּ שֹׁוֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
בְּכׇל־עֵ֗ת [3] Revi'i
אֲשֶׁ֨ר אֲנִ֤י רֹאֶה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־מׇרְדֳּכַ֣י הַיְּהוּדִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
יוֹשֵׁ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
בְּשַׁ֥עַר הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 3 2 13 Yet all this, [2]
it isn't enough [2]
for me; [1]
 
as long [3]
as I see [3]
Mordecai the Jew, [2]
 
sitting [2]
at the gate of the king.” [1]
14 וַתֹּ֣אמֶר לוֹ֩ זֶ֨רֶשׁ אִשְׁתּ֜וֹ [4] Geresh
וְכׇל־אֹֽהֲבָ֗יו [3] Revi'i
 
יַֽעֲשׂוּ־עֵץ֮ [3] Zarqa
גָּבֹ֣הַּ חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים אַמָּה֒ [2] Segol
 
וּבַבֹּ֣קֶר ׀ [4] Legarmeh
אֱמֹ֣ר לַמֶּ֗לֶךְ [3] Revi'i
 
וְיִתְל֤וּ אֶֽת־מׇרְדֳּכַי֙ [3] Pashta
עָלָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
וּבֹֽא־עִם־הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ אֶל־הַמִּשְׁתֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
שָׂמֵ֑חַ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּיטַ֧ב הַדָּבָ֛ר [3] Tevir
לִפְנֵ֥י הָמָ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָעֵֽץ׃ [1] Silluq

and all his friends, [3]
 
“Let a gallows be made [3]
fifty cubits high, [2]
 
and in the morning [4]
speak to the king [3]
 
that Mordecai be hanged [3]
on it. [2]
 
Then go with the king to the banquet [2]
joyfully.” [1]
 
And the word seemed good [3]
to Haman, [2]
so he made the gallows. [1]
