אֶת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר נַעֲשָׂ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּקְרַ֤ע מׇרְדֳּכַי֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־בְּגָדָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּלְבַּ֥שׁ שַׂ֖ק [2] Tip'cha
וָאֵ֑פֶר [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּצֵא֙ [3] Pashta
בְּת֣וֹךְ הָעִ֔יר [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּזְעַ֛ק [3] Tevir
זְעָקָ֥ה גְדוֹלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וּמָרָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

all that had been done, [2]
 
Mordecai tore [3]
his clothes, [2]
 
and he put on sackcloth [2]
and ashes; [1]
 
and he went out [3]
into the middle of the city, [2]
 
and he cried [3]
a cry loud [2]
and bitter. [1]

כִּ֣י אֵ֥ין לָב֛וֹא [3] Tevir
אֶל־שַׁ֥עַר הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Tip'cha
בִּלְב֥וּשׁ שָֽׂק׃ [1] Silluq

before the gate of the king; [1]
 
for none is to go [3]
into the gate of the king [2]
in clothing of sackcloth. [1]

אֲשֶׁ֨ר דְּבַר־הַמֶּ֤לֶךְ וְדָתוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
מַגִּ֔יעַ [2] Zaqef
 
אֵ֤בֶל גָּדוֹל֙ [3] Pashta
לַיְּהוּדִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וְצ֥וֹם וּבְכִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וּמִסְפֵּ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
שַׂ֣ק וָאֵ֔פֶר [2] Zaqef
יֻצַּ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
לָֽרַבִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq

great mourning [3]
the Jews had, [2]
 
and fasting and weeping [2]
and wailing; [1]
 
sackcloth and ashes, [2]
it was spread as a bed [2]

וַתִּשְׁלַ֨ח בְּגָדִ֜ים [4] Geresh
לְהַלְבִּ֣ישׁ אֶֽת־מׇרְדֳּכַ֗י [3] Revi'i
 
וּלְהָסִ֥יר שַׂקּ֛וֹ [3] Tevir
מֵעָלָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
 
וְלֹ֥א קִבֵּֽל׃ [1] Silluq

the maids of Esther and her eunuchs, [3 3]
and they told her, [2]
 
and the queen agonized [2]
exceedingly; [1]
 
and she sent garments [4]
to clothe Mordecai, [3]
 
and to remove his sackcloth [3]
from on him, [2]
 
but he didn’t accept (it). [1]
5 וַתִּקְרָא֩ אֶסְתֵּ֨ר לַהֲתָ֜ךְ [4] Geresh
מִסָּרִיסֵ֤י הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר הֶעֱמִ֣יד לְפָנֶ֔יהָ [2] Zaqef
 
וַתְּצַוֵּ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha
עַֽל־מׇרְדֳּכָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
לָדַ֥עַת מַה־זֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְעַל־מַה־זֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

one of the eunuchs of the king, [3 3]
whom he had appointed to attend her, [2]
 
and she commanded him [2]
regarding Mordecai; [1]
 
to find out what this was [2]
and why this was. [1]
6 וַיֵּצֵ֥א הֲתָ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
אֶֽל־מׇרְדֳּכָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
אֶל־רְח֣וֹב הָעִ֔יר [2] Zaqef
אֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
לִפְנֵ֥י שַֽׁעַר־הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq

to Mordecai; [1]
 
to the open place of the city [2]
which [2]
was before the gate of the king. [1]

וְאֵ֣ת ׀ [4] Legarmeh
פָּרָשַׁ֣ת הַכֶּ֗סֶף [3] Revi'i
 
אֲשֶׁ֨ר אָמַ֤ר הָמָן֙ [3] Pashta
 
לִ֠שְׁק֠וֹל [4 4] TelishaG
עַל־גִּנְזֵ֥י הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ [3] Tevir

the exact amount of the silver, [3]
 
which Haman had promised [3]
 
to weigh out [4 4]
to the treasuries of the king [3]
for the Jews, [2]
 
to destroy them. [1]
8 וְאֶת־פַּתְשֶׁ֣גֶן כְּתָֽב־הַ֠דָּ֠ת [4 4] TelishaG
אֲשֶׁר־נִתַּ֨ן בְּשׁוּשָׁ֤ן לְהַשְׁמִידָם֙ [3] Pashta
נָ֣תַן ל֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
לְהַרְא֥וֹת אֶת־אֶסְתֵּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
וּלְהַגִּ֣יד לָ֑הּ [1] Etnachta
 
וּלְצַוּ֣וֹת עָלֶ֗יהָ [3] Revi'i
לָב֨וֹא אֶל־הַמֶּ֧לֶךְ לְהִֽתְחַנֶּן־ל֛וֹ [3] Tevir
וּלְבַקֵּ֥שׁ מִלְּפָנָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
עַל־עַמָּֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq

which had been given out in Susa to destroy them, [3]
he gave to him, [2]
 
to show Esther [2]
and to tell her; [1]
 
and to urge her [3]
to go to the king to make supplication to him [3]
and to make request before him, [2]
for her people. [1]

וַיַּגֵּ֣ד לְאֶסְתֵּ֔ר [2] Zaqef

and he told Esther [2]

אֶֽל־מׇרְדֳּכָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 And Esther spoke [3]
to Hathach, [2]
 
and she gave him a message [2]
to Mordecai, [1]
11 כׇּל־עַבְדֵ֣י הַמֶּ֡לֶךְ [4] Pazer
וְעַם־מְדִינ֨וֹת הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ [4] Geresh
יֹֽדְעִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
 
אֲשֶׁ֣ר כׇּל־אִ֣ישׁ וְאִשָּׁ֡ה [4] Pazer
אֲשֶׁ֣ר יָבֽוֹא־אֶל־הַמֶּ֩לֶךְ֩ אֶל־הֶחָצֵ֨ר הַפְּנִימִ֜ית [4] Geresh
אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־יִקָּרֵ֗א [3] Revi'i
 
אַחַ֤ת דָּתוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
לְהָמִ֔ית [2] Zaqef
 
לְ֠בַ֠ד [4 4] TelishaG
מֵאֲשֶׁ֨ר יֽוֹשִׁיט־ל֥וֹ הַמֶּ֛לֶךְ [3] Tevir
אֶת־שַׁרְבִ֥יט הַזָּהָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
וְחָיָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַאֲנִ֗י [3] Revi'i
לֹ֤א נִקְרֵ֙אתִי֙ [3 3] Pashta
לָב֣וֹא אֶל־הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ [2] Zaqef
 
זֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
שְׁלוֹשִׁ֥ים יֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq

and the people of the provinces of the king [4]
know, [3]
 
that every man or woman [4]
who goes to the king into the inner court [4]
without being called, [3]
 
there is one law for him, [3]
to be put to death, [2]

when the king extends to him [3]
the golden scepter, [2]
that he may live; [1]
 
and I, [3]
I have not been called [3 3]
to go to the king [2]
 
these [2]

13 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר מׇרְדֳּכַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
לְהָשִׁ֣יב אֶל־אֶסְתֵּ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
אַל־תְּדַמִּ֣י בְנַפְשֵׁ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef
לְהִמָּלֵ֥ט בֵּית־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ [2] Tip'cha
מִכׇּל־הַיְּהוּדִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 13 Then Mordecai said [2]
to reply to Esther; [1]
 
“Do not think to yourself [2]
to escape (in) the house of the king [2]
from all the Jews. [1]
14 כִּ֣י אִם־הַחֲרֵ֣שׁ תַּחֲרִ֘ישִׁי֮ [3 3] Zarqa
בָּעֵ֣ת הַזֹּאת֒ [2] Segol
 
רֶ֣וַח וְהַצָּלָ֞ה [4] Gershayim
יַעֲמ֤וֹד לַיְּהוּדִים֙ [3] Pashta
מִמָּק֣וֹם אַחֵ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
וְאַ֥תְּ וּבֵית־אָבִ֖יךְ [2] Tip'cha
תֹּאבֵ֑דוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וּמִ֣י יוֹדֵ֔עַ [2] Zaqef
אִם־לְעֵ֣ת כָּזֹ֔את [2] Zaqef
הִגַּ֖עַתְּ [2] Tip'cha
לַמַּלְכֽוּת׃ [1] Silluq

at this time, [2]
 
relief and deliverance, [4]
it will arise for the Jews [3]
from another place, [2]
 
but you and the house of your father, [2]
you will perish; [1]
 
and who knows, [2]
if for such a time as this [2]
you have reached [2]
the queenhood?” [1]
15 וַתֹּ֥אמֶר אֶסְתֵּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
לְהָשִׁ֥יב אֶֽל־מׇרְדֳּכָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
2 15 Then Esther said [2]
to reply to Mordecai, [1]
16 לֵךְ֩ כְּנ֨וֹס אֶת־כׇּל־הַיְּהוּדִ֜ים [4] Geresh
הַֽנִּמְצְאִ֣ים בְּשׁוּשָׁ֗ן [3] Revi'i
 
וְצ֣וּמוּ עָ֠לַ֠י [4 4] TelishaG
וְאַל־תֹּאכְל֨וּ וְאַל־תִּשְׁתּ֜וּ [4] Geresh
שְׁלֹ֤שֶׁת יָמִים֙ [3] Pashta
לַ֣יְלָה וָי֔וֹם [2] Zaqef
 
גַּם־אֲנִ֥י וְנַעֲרֹתַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אָצ֣וּם כֵּ֑ן [1] Etnachta
 
וּבְכֵ֞ן [4] Gershayim
אָב֤וֹא אֶל־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹֽא־כַדָּ֔ת [2] Zaqef
 
וְכַאֲשֶׁ֥ר אָבַ֖דְתִּי [2] Tip'cha
אָבָֽדְתִּי׃ [1] Silluq
