1 Then the LORD spoke [2] to Moses saying, [1] |

| 2 דַּבֵּר֮ [3] Zarqa אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ [2] Segol וְיַחֲנוּ֙ [3] Pashta לִפְנֵי֙ [3] Pashta פִּ֣י הַחִירֹ֔ת [2] Zaqef וּבֵ֣ין הַיָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta בַּ֣עַל צְפֹ֔ן [2] Zaqef עַל־הַיָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
2 “Speak [3] to the children of Israel, [2] and encamp [3] before [3] Pi-Hahiroth, [2] and between the sea; [1] Baal Zephon, [2] by the sea. [1] |

| 3 וְאָמַ֤ר פַּרְעֹה֙ [3] Pashta לִבְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef בָּאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta הַמִּדְבָּֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
3 Then Pharaoh will say [3] of the children of Israel, [2] in the land; [1] the wilderness.’ [1] |

| 4 וְחִזַּקְתִּ֣י אֶת־לֵב־פַּרְעֹה֮ [3] Zarqa וְרָדַ֣ף אַחֲרֵיהֶם֒ [2] Segol וּבְכׇל־חֵיל֔וֹ [2] Zaqef כִּֽי־אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta |
4 And I will harden the heart of Pharaoh [3] so he will chase after them, [2] and over all his army, [2] that I am the LORD.” [1] |

5 When it was told [3] to the king of Egypt [2] the people; [1] the heart of Pharaoh and his servants [3] toward the people, [2] “What is this we have done, [2] from serving us?” [1] |

| 6 וַיֶּאְסֹ֖ר [2] Tip'cha אֶת־רִכְבּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta לָקַ֥ח עִמּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
6 So he harnessed [2] his chariot; [1] he took with him, [1] |

| 7 וַיִּקַּ֗ח [3] Revi'i שֵׁשׁ־מֵא֥וֹת רֶ֙כֶב֙ [3 3] Pashta בָּח֔וּר [2] Zaqef רֶ֣כֶב מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta עַל־כֻּלּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
7 and he took [3] six hundred chariots [3 3] of choice, [2] the chariots of Egypt; [1] over all of them. [1] |

| 8 וַיְחַזֵּ֣ק יְהֹוָ֗ה [3] Revi'i אֶת־לֵ֤ב פַּרְעֹה֙ [3] Pashta מֶ֣לֶךְ מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef אַחֲרֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta יֹצְאִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha בְּיָ֥ד רָמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
8 And the LORD hardened [3] the heart of Pharaoh [3] king of Egypt [2] after [2] the children of Israel; [1] went out [2] with a high hand. [1] |

| 9 וַיִּרְדְּפ֨וּ מִצְרַ֜יִם [4] Geresh אַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i חֹנִ֣ים עַל־הַיָּ֔ם [2] Zaqef רֶ֣כֶב פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְחֵיל֑וֹ [1] Etnachta הַֽחִירֹ֔ת [2] Zaqef בַּ֥עַל צְפֹֽן׃ [1] Silluq |
9 And the Egyptians chased [4] after them [3] encamped by the sea, [2] of the chariots of Pharaoh, [2] and his army; [1] Hahiroth, [2] Baal Zephon. [1] |

| 10 וּפַרְעֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha הִקְרִ֑יב [1] Etnachta וְהִנֵּ֥ה מִצְרַ֣יִם ׀ [4] Legarmeh נֹסֵ֣עַ אַחֲרֵיהֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i מְאֹ֔ד [2] Zaqef אֶל־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
10 When Pharaoh, [2] he drew near; [1] and behold the Egyptians [4] were marching after them, [3] exceedingly, [2] to the LORD. [1] |

| 11 וַיֹּאמְרוּ֮ [3] Zarqa אֶל־מֹשֶׁה֒ [2] Segol בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef לָמ֣וּת בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר [1] Etnachta עָשִׂ֣יתָ לָּ֔נוּ [2] Zaqef מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq |
11 And they said [3] to Moses, [2] in Egypt [2] to die in the wilderness? [1] you have done to us, [2] from Egypt? [1] |

| 12 הֲלֹא־זֶ֣ה הַדָּבָ֗ר [3] Revi'i אֲשֶׁר֩ דִּבַּ֨רְנוּ אֵלֶ֤יךָ בְמִצְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef וְנַֽעַבְדָ֣ה אֶת־מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta עֲבֹ֣ד אֶת־מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef בַּמִּדְבָּֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
12 Isn’t this the word [3] that we spoke to you in Egypt [3 3] saying, [2] that we may serve the Egyptians?’ [1] to serve the Egyptians [2] in the wilderness.” [1] |

| 13 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֣ה אֶל־הָעָם֮ [3] Zarqa אַל־תִּירָ֒אוּ֒ [2 2] Segol וּרְאוּ֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־יְשׁוּעַ֣ת יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef הַיּ֑וֹם [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁ֨ר רְאִיתֶ֤ם אֶת־מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta הַיּ֔וֹם [2] Zaqef לִרְאֹתָ֥ם ע֖וֹד [2] Tip'cha עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
13 But Moses said to the people, [3] “Don’t be afraid. [2 2] and see [3] the deliverance of the LORD [2] today; [1] the Egyptians whom you have seen [3 3] today, [2] see them again, [2] forever. [1] |

14 The LORD, [2] he will fight for you; [1] you shall be still.” [1] ¶ |

| 15 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֵלָ֑י [1] Etnachta וְיִסָּֽעוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
15 Then the LORD said [3] to Moses, [2] to me? [1] that they go forward. [1] |

| 16 וְאַתָּ֞ה [4] Gershayim הָרֵ֣ם אֶֽת־מַטְּךָ֗ [3] Revi'i עַל־הַיָּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha בְּת֥וֹךְ הַיָּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha בַּיַּבָּשָֽׁה׃ [1] Silluq |
16 And you, [4] lift up your staff, [3] over the sea [2] into the midst of the sea [2] on dry ground. [1] |

| 17 וַאֲנִ֗י [3] Revi'i הִנְנִ֤י מְחַזֵּק֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־לֵ֣ב מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef אַחֲרֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta וּבְכׇל־חֵיל֔וֹ [2] Zaqef וּבְפָרָשָֽׁיו׃ [1] Silluq |
17 Then I, [3] behold I will harden [3] the hearts of the Egyptians, [2] after them; [1] and over all his army, [2] and over his horsemen. [1] |

| 18 וְיָדְע֥וּ מִצְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha כִּי־אֲנִ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta בְּרִכְבּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha וּבְפָרָשָֽׁיו׃ [1] Silluq |
18 Then the Egyptians will know [2] that I am the LORD; [1] over his chariots, [2] and over his horsemen.” [1] |

| 19 וַיִּסַּ֞ע [4] Gershayim מַלְאַ֣ךְ הָאֱלֹהִ֗ים [3] Revi'i לִפְנֵי֙ [3] Pashta מַחֲנֵ֣ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef מֵאַחֲרֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta עַמּ֤וּד הֶֽעָנָן֙ [3] Pashta מִפְּנֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef מֵאַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
19 Then he moved, [4] the angel of God [3] before [3] the camp of Israel, [2] behind them; [1] the pillar of cloud [3] from before them, [2] behind them, [1] |

| 20 וַיָּבֹ֞א [4] Gershayim בֵּ֣ין ׀ [4] Legarmeh מַחֲנֵ֣ה מִצְרַ֗יִם [3] Revi'i מַחֲנֵ֣ה יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef וְהַחֹ֔שֶׁךְ [2] Zaqef אֶת־הַלָּ֑יְלָה [1] Etnachta אֶל־זֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־הַלָּֽיְלָה׃ [1] Silluq |
20 and it came [4] between [4] the camp of Egypt [3] the camp of Israel, [2] and the darkness, [2] the night; [1] to the other [2] all night. [1] |

| 21 וַיֵּ֨ט מֹשֶׁ֣ה אֶת־יָדוֹ֮ [3] Zarqa עַל־הַיָּם֒ [2] Segol בְּר֨וּחַ קָדִ֤ים עַזָּה֙ [3] Pashta כׇּל־הַלַּ֔יְלָה [2] Zaqef לֶחָרָבָ֑ה [1] Etnachta הַמָּֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq |
21 Then Moses stretched out his hand [3] over the sea, [2] with a strong east wind [3] all night, [2] into dry ground; [1] the waters. [1] |

| 22 וַיָּבֹ֧אוּ בְנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל [3] Tevir בְּת֥וֹךְ הַיָּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha בַּיַּבָּשָׁ֑ה [1] Etnachta חוֹמָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וּמִשְּׂמֹאלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
22 Then the children of Israel went [3] into the midst of the sea [2] on the dry ground; [1] were a wall [2] and on their left. [1] |

| 23 וַיִּרְדְּפ֤וּ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta וַיָּבֹ֣אוּ אַחֲרֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef ס֣וּס פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef וּפָרָשָׁ֑יו [1] Etnachta הַיָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
23 But the Egyptians pursued [3 3] and they went in after them, [2] the horses of Pharaoh, [2] and his horsemen; [1] of the sea. [1] |

| 24 וַֽיְהִי֙ [3] Pashta בְּאַשְׁמֹ֣רֶת הַבֹּ֔קֶר [2] Zaqef אֶל־מַחֲנֵ֣ה מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef וְעָנָ֑ן [1] Etnachta אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha מַחֲנֵ֥ה מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq |
24 Now it came about [3] in the morning watch, [2] on the Egyptian army [2] and cloud; [1] -- [2] the army of the Egyptians. [1] |

| 25 וַיָּ֗סַר [3] Revi'i אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv אֹפַ֣ן מַרְכְּבֹתָ֔יו [2] Zaqef בִּכְבֵדֻ֑ת [1] Etnachta אָנ֙וּסָה֙ [3 3] Pashta מִפְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef נִלְחָ֥ם לָהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha בְּמִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq פ |
25 And he clogged [3] -- [3] the wheels of their chariots, [2] with difficulty; [1] “Let’s flee [3 3] from before Israel, [2] is fighting for them [2] against the Egyptians!” [1] ¶ |

| 26 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef עַל־הַיָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta עַל־מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef וְעַל־פָּרָשָֽׁיו׃ [1] Silluq |
26 Then the LORD said [3] to Moses, [2] over the sea; [1] over the Egyptians, [2] and over their horsemen.” [1] |

| 27 וַיֵּט֩ מֹשֶׁ֨ה אֶת־יָד֜וֹ [4] Geresh עַל־הַיָּ֗ם [3] Revi'i לִפְנ֥וֹת בֹּ֙קֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta לְאֵ֣יתָנ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef נָסִ֣ים לִקְרָאת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta אֶת־מִצְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha בְּת֥וֹךְ הַיָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
27 So Moses stretched out his hand [4] over the sea, [3] at the break of dawn [3 3] to its place, [2] fled against it; [1] the Egyptians [2] in the midst of the sea. [1] |

| 28 וַיָּשֻׁ֣בוּ הַמַּ֗יִם [3] Revi'i וַיְכַסּ֤וּ אֶת־הָרֶ֙כֶב֙ [3 3] Pashta וְאֶת־הַפָּ֣רָשִׁ֔ים [2] Zaqef חֵ֣יל פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef בַּיָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta עַד־אֶחָֽד׃ [1] Silluq |
28 And the waters returned, [3] and they covered the chariots [3 3] and the horsemen [2] the army of Pharaoh [2] into the sea. [1] even one. [1] |

| 29 וּבְנֵ֧י יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל [3] Tevir הָלְכ֥וּ בַיַּבָּשָׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בְּת֣וֹךְ הַיָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta חֹמָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וּמִשְּׂמֹאלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
29 But the children of Israel, [3] they had walked on dry ground [2] in the midst of the sea; [1] were a wall [2] and on their left. [1] |

| 30 וַיּ֨וֹשַׁע יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh בַּיּ֥וֹם הַה֛וּא [3] Tevir אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha מִיַּ֣ד מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta אֶת־מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef עַל־שְׂפַ֥ת הַיָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
30 Thus the LORD delivered [4] on that day, [3] Israel [2] from the hand of the Egyptians; [1] the Egyptians [2] on the seashore. [1] |

31 When Israel saw [4] the mighty hand [3] against the Egyptians, [2] the LORD; [1] in the LORD [2] his servant. [1] ¶ |
