1 And they journeyed, [4 4] all the congregation of the children of Israel from the wilderness of Sin, [3] in stages, [2] according to the command of the LORD; [1] at Rephidim, [2] for the people to drink. [1] |

| 2 וַיָּ֤רֶב הָעָם֙ [3] Pashta עִם־מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef תְּנוּ־לָ֥נוּ מַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha וְנִשְׁתֶּ֑ה [1] Etnachta מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef עִמָּדִ֔י [2] Zaqef אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
2 So the people quarreled [3] with Moses, [2] “Give us water [2] that we can drink.” [1] Moses, [2] with me? [2] the LORD?” [1] |

| 3 וַיִּצְמָ֨א שָׁ֤ם הָעָם֙ [3] Pashta לַמַּ֔יִם [2] Zaqef עַל־מֹשֶׁ֑ה [1] Etnachta לָ֤מָּה זֶּה֙ [3] Pashta הֶעֱלִיתָ֣נוּ מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef וְאֶת־בָּנַ֥י וְאֶת־מִקְנַ֖י [2] Tip'cha בַּצָּמָֽא׃ [1] Silluq |
3 But the people there were thirsty [3] for water, [2] against Moses; [1] “Why [3] have you brought us up from Egypt? [2] and our children and our livestock [2] with thirst?” [1] |

| 4 וַיִּצְעַ֤ק מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־יְהֹוָ֣ה לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef לָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה [1] Etnachta וּסְקָלֻֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq |
4 So Moses cried out [3] to the LORD saying, [2] with these people? [1] and they will stone me.” [1] |

| 5 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה [3] Revi'i לִפְנֵ֣י הָעָ֔ם [2] Zaqef מִזִּקְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁ֨ר הִכִּ֤יתָ בּוֹ֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־הַיְאֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef וְהָלָֽכְתָּ׃ [1] Silluq |
5 And the LORD said [4] to Moses, [3] before the people, [2] some of the elders of Israel; [1] with which you struck it, [3] the river, [2] and go. [1] |

| 6 הִנְנִ֣י עֹמֵד֩ לְפָנֶ֨יךָ שָּׁ֥ם ׀ עַֽל־הַצּוּר֮ [3] Zarqa בְּחֹרֵב֒ [2] Segol וְיָצְא֥וּ מִמֶּ֛נּוּ [3] Tevir מַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha וְשָׁתָ֣ה הָעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef זִקְנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq |
6 Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock [3] at Horeb, [2] and it will come out from it, [3] water, [2] so that the people can drink.” [1] Moses, [2] of the elders of Israel. [1] |

| 7 וַיִּקְרָא֙ [3] Pashta שֵׁ֣ם הַמָּק֔וֹם [2] Zaqef וּמְרִיבָ֑ה [1] Etnachta בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל [3] Revi'i לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef בְּקִרְבֵּ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha אִם־אָֽיִן׃ [1] Silluq פ |
7 And he called [3] the name of the place [2] and Meribah; [1] of the children of Israel, [3] saying, [2] in our midst, [2] or not?” [1] ¶ |

| 8 וַיָּבֹ֖א [2] Tip'cha עֲמָלֵ֑ק [1] Etnachta בִּרְפִידִֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
8 Then they came, [2] the Amalekites; [1] at Rephidim. [1] |

| 9 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֤ה אֶל־יְהוֹשֻׁ֙עַ֙ [3 3] Pashta בְּחַר־לָ֣נוּ אֲנָשִׁ֔ים [2] Zaqef הִלָּחֵ֣ם בַּעֲמָלֵ֑ק [1] Etnachta אָנֹכִ֤י נִצָּב֙ [3] Pashta עַל־רֹ֣אשׁ הַגִּבְעָ֔ה [2] Zaqef בְּיָדִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
9 And Moses said to Joshua, [3 3] “Choose for us men, [2] fight against the Amalekites; [1] I will stand [3] on the top of the hill, [2] in my hand.” [1] |

| 10 וַיַּ֣עַשׂ יְהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ [3] Revi'i כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר אָֽמַר־לוֹ֙ [3] Pashta מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef בַּעֲמָלֵ֑ק [1] Etnachta אַהֲרֹ֣ן וְח֔וּר [2] Zaqef רֹ֥אשׁ הַגִּבְעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
10 So Joshua did [3] as he had said to him, [3] Moses, [2] against the Amalekites; [1] Aaron and Hur, [2] to the top of the hill. [1] |

| 11 וְהָיָ֗ה [3] Revi'i כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר יָרִ֥ים מֹשֶׁ֛ה [3] Tevir יָד֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha וְגָבַ֣ר יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta יָד֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha וְגָבַ֥ר עֲמָלֵֽק׃ [1] Silluq |
11 And it was, [3] when Moses lifted up [3] his hand, [2] Israel prevailed; [1] his hand, [2] the Amalekites prevailed. [1] |

| 12 וִידֵ֤י מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta כְּבֵדִ֔ים [2] Zaqef וַיָּשִׂ֥ימוּ תַחְתָּ֖יו [2] Tip'cha וַיֵּ֣שֶׁב עָלֶ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta תָּֽמְכ֣וּ בְיָדָ֗יו [3] Revi'i וּמִזֶּ֣ה אֶחָ֔ד [2] Zaqef אֱמוּנָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha עַד־בֹּ֥א הַשָּֽׁמֶשׁ׃ [1] Silluq |
12 But Moses’ hands [3] grew heavy, [2] and they put it under him, [2] and he sat on it; [1] they supported his hands, [3] and the other on the other side, [2] were steady [2] until the sun went down. [1] |

| 13 וַיַּחֲלֹ֧שׁ יְהוֹשֻׁ֛עַ [3] Tevir אֶת־עֲמָלֵ֥ק וְאֶת־עַמּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha לְפִי־חָֽרֶב׃ [1] Silluq פ |
13 So Joshua defeated [3] the Amalekite army [2] with the edge of the sword. [1] ¶ |

| 14 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה [3] Revi'i בַּסֵּ֔פֶר [2] Zaqef בְּאׇזְנֵ֣י יְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַ [1] Etnachta אֶת־זֵ֣כֶר עֲמָלֵ֔ק [2] Zaqef הַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq |
14 And the LORD said [4] to Moses, [3] in the book, [2] in the hearing of Joshua; [1] the memory of the Amalekites [2] the heavens.” [1] |

| 15 וַיִּ֥בֶן מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha מִזְבֵּ֑חַ [1] Etnachta יְהֹוָ֥ה ׀ נִסִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
15 Then Moses built [2] an altar; [1] “The LORD [1] is my Banner”. |

16 And he said, [3] “By the hand [3] upon the throne of the LORD, [2] with Amalek; [1] to generation.’ ” [1] ¶ |
