כׇּל־עֲדַ֨ת בְּנֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֧ל מִמִּדְבַּר־סִ֛ין [3] Tevir
לְמַסְעֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
עַל־פִּ֣י יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Etnachta

וַֽיַּחֲנוּ֙ [3] Pashta
בִּרְפִידִ֔ים [2] Zaqef

וְאֵ֥ין מַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
לִשְׁתֹּ֥ת הָעָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 2 3 2 1 And they journeyed, [4 4]
all the congregation of the children of Israel from the wilderness of Sin, [3]
in stages, [2]
according to the command of the LORD; [1]

and they camped [3]
at Rephidim, [2]

but there was no water [2]
for the people to drink. [1]
2 וַיָּ֤רֶב הָעָם֙ [3] Pashta
עִם־מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef

וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ [2] Zaqef
תְּנוּ־לָ֥נוּ מַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
וְנִשְׁתֶּ֑ה [1] Etnachta

מַה־תְּנַסּ֖וּן [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

with Moses, [2]

and they said, [2]
“Give us water [2]
that we can drink.” [1]

And he said to them, [3]
Moses, [2]

“Why do you quarrel [3]
with me? [2]

Why do you test [2]
the LORD?” [1]

בַּצָּמָֽא׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 3 2 3 3 But the people there were thirsty [3]
for water, [2]

and the people grumbled [2]
against Moses; [1]

and they said, [3]
“Why [3]
have you brought us up from Egypt? [2]

To kill us [3]
and our children and our livestock [2]
with thirst?” [1]
4 וַיִּצְעַ֤ק מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־יְהֹוָ֣ה לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef

1 2 3 2 2 4 So Moses cried out [3]
to the LORD saying, [2]

“What am I to do [2]
with these people? [1]

Just a little more [2]
and they will stone me.” [1]
5 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh

1 2 3 4 3 2 2 3 3 2 5 And the LORD said [4]
to Moses, [3]

“Walk [3]
before the people, [2]

and take with you [2]
some of the elders of Israel; [1]

and your staff [3]
with which you struck it, [3]
the river, [2]

take in your hand [2]
and go. [1]

1 2 3 2 3 3 2 3 2 6 Behold, I will stand before you there on the rock [3]
at Horeb, [2]

and you shall strike the rock, [3]
and it will come out from it, [3]

so that the people can drink.” [1]

Then he did so, [3]
Moses, [2]

the name of the place [2]

Massah [2]
and Meribah; [1]

because of the quarrel [4]
of the children of Israel, [3]

and because they tested the LORD [3]
saying, [2]

“Is the LORD [3]

and he sat on it; [1]

and Aaron and Hur, [4]
they supported his hands, [3]

the one on the one side [3]
and the other on the other side, [2]

and it was, his hands [3]
were steady [2]
until the sun went down. [1]
