שְׁנֵֽי־לֻחֹ֥ת אֲבָנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
כָּרִאשֹׁנִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וְכָתַבְתִּי֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־הַלֻּחֹ֔ת [2] Zaqef
 
אֶ֨ת־הַדְּבָרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָי֛וּ [3] Tevir
עַל־הַלֻּחֹ֥ת הָרִאשֹׁנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר שִׁבַּֽרְתָּ׃ [1] Silluq

“Cut out for yourself [3]
two tablets of stone [2]
like the first; [1]
 
and I will write [3]
on the tablets [2]
 
the words [2]
 
which were [3]
on the first tablets [2]
which you broke. [1]
2 וֶהְיֵ֥ה נָכ֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
לַבֹּ֑קֶר [1] Etnachta
 
וְעָלִ֤יתָ בַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶל־הַ֣ר סִינַ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְנִצַּבְתָּ֥ לִ֛י [3] Tevir
שָׁ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
עַל־רֹ֥אשׁ הָהָֽר׃ [1] Silluq

and come up in the morning [3 3]
to Mount Sinai [2]
 
and present yourself to me [3]
there [2]
on the top of the mountain. [1]

לֹֽא־יַעֲלֶ֣ה עִמָּ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef
 
וְגַם־אִ֥ישׁ אַל־יֵרָ֖א [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־הָהָ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
גַּם־הַצֹּ֤אן וְהַבָּקָר֙ [3] Pashta
אַל־יִרְע֔וּ [2] Zaqef
 
אֶל־מ֖וּל [2] Tip'cha
הָהָ֥ר הַהֽוּא׃ [1] Silluq

he shall not come up with you, [2]
 
and also let no one be seen [2]
anywhere on the mountain; [1]
 
also the flocks and the herds, [3]
they must not graze [2]

וַיִּקַּ֣ח בְּיָד֔וֹ [2] Zaqef

לֻחֹ֥ת אֲבָנִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

and he called out in the name [2]

6 וַיַּעֲבֹ֨ר יְהֹוָ֥ה ׀ עַל־פָּנָיו֮ [3] Zarqa
וַיִּקְרָא֒ [2] Segol
 
יְהֹוָ֣ה ׀ יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
אֵ֥ל רַח֖וּם [2] Tip'cha
וְחַנּ֑וּן [1] Etnachta
 
אֶ֥רֶךְ אַפַּ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
וְרַב־חֶ֥סֶד וֶאֱמֶֽת׃ [1] Silluq

“The LORD, the LORD, [2]
compassionate God [2]
and gracious; [1]
 
slow to anger [2]
and abundant in lovingkindness and truth, [1]

נֹשֵׂ֥א עָוֺ֛ן [3] Tevir
וָפֶ֖שַׁע [2] Tip'cha

וְנַקֵּה֙ [3] Pashta
לֹ֣א יְנַקֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
פֹּקֵ֣ד ׀ [4] Legarmeh
עֲוֺ֣ן אָב֗וֹת [3] Revi'i
 
עַל־בָּנִים֙ [3] Pashta
וְעַל־בְּנֵ֣י בָנִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
עַל־שִׁלֵּשִׁ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וְעַל־רִבֵּעִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

forgiving iniquity [3]
and transgression [2]

and on the children’s children, [2]
 
on the third generation [2]

אִם־נָא֩ מָצָ֨אתִי חֵ֤ן בְּעֵינֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta

יֵֽלֶךְ־נָ֥א אֲדֹנָ֖י [2] Tip'cha
בְּקִרְבֵּ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֤י עַם־קְשֵׁה־עֹ֙רֶף֙ [3 3] Pashta
ה֔וּא [2] Zaqef
 
וְסָלַחְתָּ֛ [3] Tevir
לַעֲוֺנֵ֥נוּ וּלְחַטָּאתֵ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha
וּנְחַלְתָּֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq

“If now I have found favor in your sight [3 3]

let my Lord please go [2]
within our midst; [1]
 
even though a stiff-necked people [3 3]

pardon [3]

and take us as your inheritance.” [1]

אֲשֶׁר־אַתָּ֨ה בְקִרְבּ֜וֹ [4] Geresh
אֶת־מַעֲשֵׂ֤ה יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
כִּֽי־נוֹרָ֣א ה֔וּא [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲנִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
עֹשֶׂ֥ה עִמָּֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq

have not been done in all the earth [2]

for awesome it is, [2]

am going to do with you. [1]

מִן־הָהָ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וּמֹשֶׁ֣ה לֹֽא־יָדַ֗ע [3] Revi'i
כִּ֥י קָרַ֛ן [3] Tevir
ע֥וֹר פָּנָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
בְּדַבְּר֥וֹ אִתּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

with the two tablets of the testimony [3]

that it was radiant, [3]
the skin of his face, [2]
because he had spoken with him. [1]
30 וַיַּ֨רְא אַהֲרֹ֜ן [4] Geresh

וְהִנֵּ֥ה קָרַ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
ע֣וֹר פָּנָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּֽירְא֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
מִגֶּ֥שֶׁת אֵלָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

behold it shone, [2]
the skin of his face; [1]
 
so they were afraid [2]
to come near him. [1]
31 וַיִּקְרָ֤א אֲלֵהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַיָּשֻׁ֧בוּ אֵלָ֛יו [3] Tevir
אַהֲרֹ֥ן וְכׇל־הַנְּשִׂאִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
בָּעֵדָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֲלֵהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

so they returned to him, [3]
Aaron and all the leaders [2]
of the congregation; [1]
 
and Moses spoke [2]
to them. [1]
32 וְאַחֲרֵי־כֵ֥ן נִגְּשׁ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְצַוֵּ֕ם [2] ZaqefG
 
אֵת֩ כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֨ר דִּבֶּ֧ר יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir
אִתּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
בְּהַ֥ר סִינָֽי׃ [1] Silluq

and he commanded them [2]
 
all that the LORD had spoken [3]
with him [2]
on Mount Sinai. [1]
33 וַיְכַ֣ל מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef
מִדַּבֵּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
אִתָּ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּתֵּ֥ן עַל־פָּנָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
מַסְוֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq

with them; [1]
 
he put over his face [2]
a veil. [1]
34 וּבְבֹ֨א מֹשֶׁ֜ה [4] Geresh
לִפְנֵ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
לְדַבֵּ֣ר אִתּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
יָסִ֥יר אֶת־הַמַּסְוֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עַד־צֵאת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְיָצָ֗א [3] Revi'i
וְדִבֶּר֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְצֻוֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

he took off the veil [2]

and he spoke [3]

פְּנֵ֣י מֹשֶׁ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְהֵשִׁ֨יב מֹשֶׁ֤ה אֶת־הַמַּסְוֶה֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־פָּנָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
עַד־בֹּא֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
לְדַבֵּ֥ר אִתּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

the skin [2]

so Moses put back the veil [3]
over his face, [2]
