| שמות 4 | Exodus 4 | |||
1 Then Moses answered [3] and he said, [2] they will not believe me, [2] to my voice; [1] ‘He has not appeared to you, [2] the LORD.’ ” [1] |
[1] Silluq |
2 So he said to him, [3] the LORD, [2] “What is that in your hand?” [1] “A staff.” [1] |
[1] Silluq |
3 Then he said, [3 3] “Throw it to the ground.” [2] it became a snake; [1] from before it. [1] |
4 Then the LORD said [3] to Moses, [2] your hand [2] of its tail.” [1] and he took hold of it, [2] in his hand. [1] |
5 “So they may believe [2] the LORD, [2] the God of their fathers; [1] the God of Isaac, [2] and the God of Jacob.” [1] |
6 And the LORD said to him [4] further, [3] inside your cloak,” [2] inside his cloak; [1] behold, his hand [2] was leprous, like snow. [1] |
7 Then he said, [3] “Put back your hand [3] inside your cloak,” [2] inside his cloak; [1] of his cloak, [2] like the rest of his flesh. [1] |
8 “And it will be, [3] if they will not believe you [2] to the voice [2] of the first sign; [1] the voice [2] of the latter sign. [1] |
9 And it will be, [4] if they will not believe [4] even the two signs [4] these [3] to your voice, [2] some of the water of the river [2] the dry ground; [1] which you take from the river, [2] on the dry ground.” [1] |
10 But Moses said to the LORD, [3] “O my Lord, [2] am I, [3] or from three days ago, [2] since you have spoken [2] to your servant; [1] and slow of tongue, [2] am I.” [1] |
11 So the LORD said [4] to him, [3] of a man? [2] who makes one mute, [2] or seeing, [2] or blind? [1] the LORD? [1] |
[1] Silluq |
12 Now [2] go; [1] I will be with your mouth, [2] what you shall say.” [1] |
[1] Silluq |
13 But he said, [2] “O my Lord; [1] by the hand of someone else.” [1] |
14 Then the anger of the LORD burned [4] against Moses, [3] “Is there not Aaron your brother [3 3] the Levite? [2] that he can speak well, [2] he; [1] is coming out to meet you, [2] he will be glad in his heart. [1] |
15 And you shall speak to him, [2] and you shall put the words [2] in his mouth; [1] I will be with your mouth [3 3] and with his mouth, [2] -- [2] what you shall do. [1] |
16 And he, he will speak for you [2] to the people; [1] he will be for you a mouth, [2] you will be for him as God. [1] |
17 Now this staff [2] you shall take in your hand; [1] the signs.” [1] ¶ |
18 So Moses went [4] and he returned [4] to Jethro his father-in-law, [3] “Let me go please [3] that I may return [3 3] to my kinsmen who are in Egypt, [2] whether they are still living;” [1] to Moses, [2] “Go in peace.” [1] |
19 Then the LORD said to Moses [3] in Midian, [2] return to Egypt; [1] all the men [2] your life.” [1] |
20 So Moses took [4] his wife and his sons [3] on a donkey, [2] to the land of Egypt; [1] the staff of God [2] in his hand. [1] |
21 And the LORD said [3] to Moses, [2] to return to Egypt, [2] all the wonders [3] which I have put in your hand, [2] before Pharaoh; [1] I will harden his heart [2] the people. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
22 And you shall say [2] to Pharaoh; [1] says the LORD, [2] is Israel, [1] |
23 so I have said to you, [3] “Let my son go, [3] that he may serve me,” [2] to let him go. [1] I will kill [2] your firstborn.’ ” [1] |
[1] Silluq |
24 And it was, on the journey, [2] at a lodging place; [1] and he sought [2] to kill him. [1] |
25 But Zipporah took [4] a flint, [3] the foreskin of her son, [2] at his feet; [1] are you [2] to me.” [1] |
26 Then he withdrew [2] from him. [1] she said, [2] because of the circumcision. [1] ¶ |
27 Now the LORD said [3] to Aaron, [2] to meet Moses, [2] into the wilderness;” [1] and he met him [3] at the mountain of God, [2] and he kissed him. [1] |
28 Then Moses told [3] to Aaron [2] all the words of the LORD [2] with which he had sent him; [1] with which he had instructed him. [1] |
29 Then Moses went, [2] and Aaron; [1] all the elders [2] of the children of Israel. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
30 And Aaron spoke [2] all the words [2] to Moses; [1] in the sight of the people. [1] |
31 So they believed, [2] the people; [1] that the LORD had remembered [4] the children of Israel, [3] their affliction, [2] and they worshiped. [1] |
