1 וַיַּ֤עַן מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta
וַיֹּ֔אמֶר [2] Zaqef
 
וְהֵן֙ [3] Pashta
לֹֽא־יַאֲמִ֣ינוּ לִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א יִשְׁמְע֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
בְּקֹלִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֣י יֹֽאמְר֔וּ [2] Zaqef
לֹֽא־נִרְאָ֥ה אֵלֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

and he said, [2]
 
“But behold, [3]
they will not believe me, [2]
 
and they will not listen [2]
to my voice; [1]
 
for they will say, [2]
‘He has not appeared to you, [2]
the LORD.’ ” [1]

וַיֹּ֖אמֶר [2] Tip'cha
מַטֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

the LORD, [2]
“What is that in your hand?” [1]
 
And he said, [2]
“A staff.” [1]
3 וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta
הַשְׁלִיכֵ֣הוּ אַ֔רְצָה [2] Zaqef
 
וַיַּשְׁלִכֵ֥הוּ אַ֖רְצָה [2] Tip'cha
וַיְהִ֣י לְנָחָ֑שׁ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּ֥נׇס מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מִפָּנָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 Then he said, [3 3]
“Throw it to the ground.” [2]
 
When he threw it to the ground, [2]
it became a snake; [1]
 
so Moses fled [2]
from before it. [1]
4 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
שְׁלַח֙ [3] Pashta
יָֽדְךָ֔ [2] Zaqef
 
וֶאֱחֹ֖ז [2] Tip'cha
בִּזְנָב֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח יָדוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
וַיַּ֣חֲזֶק בּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיְהִ֥י לְמַטֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּכַפּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

to Moses, [2]
 
“Stretch out [3]
your hand [2]
 
and take hold [2]
of its tail.” [1]
 
So he stretched out his hand [3]
and he took hold of it, [2]
 
and it became a staff [2]
in his hand. [1]
5 לְמַ֣עַן יַאֲמִ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּֽי־נִרְאָ֥ה אֵלֶ֛יךָ [3] Tevir
יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֱלֹהֵ֣י אֲבֹתָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
אֱלֹהֵ֧י אַבְרָהָ֛ם [3] Tevir
אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִצְחָ֖ק [2] Tip'cha
וֵאלֹהֵ֥י יַעֲקֹֽב׃ [1] Silluq

that he has appeared to you, [3]
the LORD, [2]
the God of their fathers; [1]
 
the God of Abraham, [3]
the God of Isaac, [2]
and the God of Jacob.” [1]
6 וַיֹּ֩אמֶר֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה ל֜וֹ [4] Geresh

הָֽבֵא־נָ֤א יָֽדְךָ֙ [3] Pashta
בְּחֵיקֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיָּבֵ֥א יָד֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
בְּחֵיק֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיּ֣וֹצִאָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef
וְהִנֵּ֥ה יָד֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
מְצֹרַ֥עַת כַּשָּֽׁלֶג׃ [1] Silluq

further, [3]
 
“Now put your hand [3]
inside your cloak,” [2]
 
so he put his hand [2]
inside his cloak; [1]
 
and when he took it out, [2]
behold, his hand [2]
was leprous, like snow. [1]
7 וַיֹּ֗אמֶר [3] Revi'i
הָשֵׁ֤ב יָֽדְךָ֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־חֵיקֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיָּ֥שֶׁב יָד֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־חֵיק֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיּֽוֹצִאָהּ֙ [3] Pashta
מֵֽחֵיק֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִנֵּה־שָׁ֖בָה [2] Tip'cha
כִּבְשָׂרֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

“Put back your hand [3]
inside your cloak,” [2]
 
so he put back his hand [2]
inside his cloak; [1]
 
and when he took it out [3]
of his cloak, [2]
 
behold it was restored again [2]
like the rest of his flesh. [1]
8 וְהָיָה֙ [3] Pashta
אִם־לֹ֣א יַאֲמִ֣ינוּ לָ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֣א יִשְׁמְע֔וּ [2] Zaqef
לְקֹ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
הָאֹ֣ת הָרִאשׁ֑וֹן [1] Etnachta
 
וְהֶֽאֱמִ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef
לְקֹ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
הָאֹ֥ת הָאַחֲרֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq

if they will not believe you [2]
 
and they will not listen [2]
to the voice [2]
of the first sign; [1]
 
that they may believe [2]
the voice [2]
of the latter sign. [1]

אִם־לֹ֣א יַאֲמִ֡ינוּ [4] Pazer
גַּם֩ לִשְׁנֵ֨י הָאֹת֜וֹת [4] Geresh
הָאֵ֗לֶּה [3] Revi'i
 
וְלֹ֤א יִשְׁמְעוּן֙ [3] Pashta
לְקֹלֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וְלָקַחְתָּ֙ [3] Pashta
מִמֵּימֵ֣י הַיְאֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
וְשָׁפַכְתָּ֖ [2] Tip'cha
הַיַּבָּשָׁ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָי֤וּ הַמַּ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּקַּ֣ח מִן־הַיְאֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
וְהָי֥וּ לְדָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בַּיַּבָּֽשֶׁת׃ [1] Silluq

if they will not believe [4]
even the two signs [4]
these [3]
 
and they will not listen [3]
to your voice, [2]
 
that you shall take [3]
some of the water of the river [2]
 
and you will pour it on [2]
the dry ground; [1]
 
and they will become, the waters [3 3]
which you take from the river, [2]
 
and they will become blood [2]
on the dry ground.” [1]
10 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֣ה אֶל־יְהֹוָה֮ [3] Zarqa

לֹא֩ אִ֨ישׁ דְּבָרִ֜ים [4] Geresh

גַּ֤ם מִתְּמוֹל֙ [3] Pashta
גַּ֣ם מִשִּׁלְשֹׁ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
גַּ֛ם [3] Tevir
מֵאָ֥ז דַּבֶּרְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־עַבְדֶּ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֧י כְבַד־פֶּ֛ה [3] Tevir
וּכְבַ֥ד לָשׁ֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
אָנֹֽכִי׃ [1] Silluq

“O my Lord, [2]
 
not a man of words [4]
am I, [3]
 
either from yesterday [3]
or from three days ago, [2]
 
or [3]
since you have spoken [2]
to your servant; [1]
 
for slow of speech [3]
and slow of tongue, [2]
am I.” [1]

א֥וֹ פִקֵּ֖חַ [2] Tip'cha
א֣וֹ עִוֵּ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
הֲלֹ֥א אָנֹכִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

“Who made the mouth [3]
of a man? [2]
 
or [3]
who makes one mute, [2]
 
or deaf, [2]
or seeing, [2]
or blind? [1]
 
Is it not I [2]
the LORD? [1]
12 וְעַתָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לֵ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָנֹכִי֙ [3] Pashta
אֶֽהְיֶ֣ה עִם־פִּ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וְהוֹרֵיתִ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר תְּדַבֵּֽר׃ [1] Silluq

go; [1]
 
and I, [3]
I will be with your mouth, [2]
 
and I will teach you [2]
what you shall say.” [1]
13 וַיֹּ֖אמֶר [2] Tip'cha
בִּ֣י אֲדֹנָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
שְֽׁלַֽח־נָ֖א [2] Tip'cha
בְּיַד־תִּשְׁלָֽח׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 13 But he said, [2]
“O my Lord; [1]
 
send please [2]
by the hand of someone else.” [1]
14 וַיִּֽחַר־אַ֨ף יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh
בְּמֹשֶׁ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta
הֲלֹ֨א אַהֲרֹ֤ן אָחִ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
הַלֵּוִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
יָדַ֕עְתִּי [2] ZaqefG
כִּֽי־דַבֵּ֥ר יְדַבֵּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
ה֑וּא [1] Etnachta
 
וְגַ֤ם הִנֵּה־הוּא֙ [3] Pashta
יֹצֵ֣א לִקְרָאתֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וְרָאֲךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
וְשָׂמַ֥ח בְּלִבּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

against Moses, [3]
 
and he said, [3 3]
“Is there not Aaron your brother [3 3]
the Levite? [2]
 
I know [2]
that he can speak well, [2]
he; [1]
 
and also behold, he [3]
is coming out to meet you, [2]
 
and when he sees you [2]
he will be glad in his heart. [1]
15 וְדִבַּרְתָּ֣ אֵלָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
וְשַׂמְתָּ֥ אֶת־הַדְּבָרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
בְּפִ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וְאָנֹכִ֗י [3] Revi'i
אֶֽהְיֶ֤ה עִם־פִּ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְעִם־פִּ֔יהוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְהוֹרֵיתִ֣י אֶתְכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּעֲשֽׂוּן׃ [1] Silluq

and you shall put the words [2]
in his mouth; [1]
 
and I, [3]
I will be with your mouth [3 3]
and with his mouth, [2]
 
and I will teach you [2]

16 וְדִבֶּר־ה֥וּא לְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־הָעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָ֤יָה הוּא֙ [3] Pashta
יִֽהְיֶה־לְּךָ֣ לְפֶ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְאַתָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
תִּֽהְיֶה־לּ֥וֹ לֵֽאלֹהִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

to the people; [1]
 
and it will be that he, [3]
he will be for you a mouth, [2]
 
and you, [2]
you will be for him as God. [1]
17 וְאֶת־הַמַּטֶּ֥ה הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
תִּקַּ֣ח בְּיָדֶ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר תַּעֲשֶׂה־בּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־הָאֹתֹֽת׃ [1] Silluq

you shall take in your hand; [1]
 
with which you shall do [2]
the signs.” [1]
18 וַיֵּ֨לֶךְ מֹשֶׁ֜ה [4] Geresh
וַיָּ֣שׇׁב ׀ [4] Legarmeh
אֶל־יֶ֣תֶר חֹֽתְנ֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
 
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
אֵ֣לְכָה נָּ֗א [3] Revi'i
וְאָשׁ֙וּבָה֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶל־אַחַ֣י אֲשֶׁר־בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶרְאֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הַעוֹדָ֣ם חַיִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֧אמֶר יִתְר֛וֹ [3] Tevir
לְמֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לֵ֥ךְ לְשָׁלֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq

and he returned [4]
to Jethro his father-in-law, [3]
 
and he said to him, [3]
“Let me go please [3]
that I may return [3 3]
to my kinsmen who are in Egypt, [2]
 
that I may see [2]
whether they are still living;” [1]
 
and Jethro said [3]
to Moses, [2]
“Go in peace.” [1]
19 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהֹוָ֤ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta
בְּמִדְיָ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
לֵ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
שֻׁ֣ב מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
כִּי־מֵ֙תוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
כׇּל־הָ֣אֲנָשִׁ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
הַֽמְבַקְשִׁ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־נַפְשֶֽׁךָ׃ [1] Silluq

in Midian, [2]
 
“Go, [2]
return to Egypt; [1]
 
for they have died, [3 3]
all the men [2]
 
who sought [2]
your life.” [1]
20 וַיִּקַּ֨ח מֹשֶׁ֜ה [4] Geresh
אֶת־אִשְׁתּ֣וֹ וְאֶת־בָּנָ֗יו [3] Revi'i
 
וַיַּרְכִּבֵם֙ [3] Pashta
עַֽל־הַחֲמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
וַיָּ֖שׇׁב [2] Tip'cha
אַ֣רְצָה מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּקַּ֥ח מֹשֶׁ֛ה [3] Tevir
אֶת־מַטֵּ֥ה הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
בְּיָדֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

his wife and his sons [3]
 
and he had them ride [3]
on a donkey, [2]
 
and he returned [2]
to the land of Egypt; [1]
 
and Moses took [3]
the staff of God [2]
in his hand. [1]
21 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהֹוָה֮ [3] Zarqa
אֶל־מֹשֶׁה֒ [2] Segol
 
בְּלֶכְתְּךָ֙ [3] Pashta
לָשׁ֣וּב מִצְרַ֔יְמָה [2] Zaqef
 
רְאֵ֗ה [3] Revi'i
כׇּל־הַמֹּֽפְתִים֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁר־שַׂ֣מְתִּי בְיָדֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וַעֲשִׂיתָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
לִפְנֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַאֲנִי֙ [3] Pashta
אֲחַזֵּ֣ק אֶת־לִבּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א יְשַׁלַּ֖ח [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־הָעָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

to Moses, [2]
 
“When you go [3]
to return to Egypt, [2]
 
see, [3]
all the wonders [3]
which I have put in your hand, [2]
 
that you do them [2]
before Pharaoh; [1]
 
but I, [3]
I will harden his heart [2]
 
and he will not let go [2]
the people. [1]
22 וְאָמַרְתָּ֖ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
כֹּ֚ה [3] Yetiv
אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
בְּנִ֥י בְכֹרִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq

to Pharaoh; [1]
 
‘Thus [3]
says the LORD, [2]
 
my son, my firstborn [2]
is Israel, [1]
23 וָאֹמַ֣ר אֵלֶ֗יךָ [3] Revi'i
שַׁלַּ֤ח אֶת־בְּנִי֙ [3] Pashta
וְיַֽעַבְדֵ֔נִי [2] Zaqef
 
וַתְּמָאֵ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
לְשַׁלְּח֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
הִנֵּה֙ [3] Pashta
אָנֹכִ֣י הֹרֵ֔ג [2] Zaqef
 
אֶת־בִּנְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
בְּכֹרֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

“Let my son go, [3]
that he may serve me,” [2]
 
but you have refused [2]
to let him go. [1]
 
Behold, [3]
I will kill [2]
 
your son, [2]
your firstborn.’ ” [1]
24 וַיְהִ֥י בַדֶּ֖רֶךְ [2] Tip'cha
בַּמָּל֑וֹן [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּפְגְּשֵׁ֣הוּ יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
וַיְבַקֵּ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
הֲמִיתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 24 And it was, on the journey, [2]
at a lodging place; [1]
 
that the LORD met him [2]
and he sought [2]
to kill him. [1]
25 וַתִּקַּ֨ח צִפֹּרָ֜ה [4] Geresh
צֹ֗ר [3] Revi'i
 
וַתִּכְרֹת֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־עׇרְלַ֣ת בְּנָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef
 
וַתַּגַּ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
לְרַגְלָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וַתֹּ֕אמֶר [2] ZaqefG
 
כִּ֧י חֲתַן־דָּמִ֛ים [3] Tevir
אַתָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

and she cut off [3]
the foreskin of her son, [2]
 
and she threw it [2]
at his feet; [1]

“Surely a bridegroom of blood [3]

מִמֶּ֑נּוּ [1] Etnachta

אָֽמְרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
חֲתַ֥ן דָּמִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לַמּוּלֹֽת׃ [1] Silluq

from him. [1]
 
(It was) then [3]
she said, [2]
 
“A bridegroom of blood,” [2]
because of the circumcision. [1]
27 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶֽל־אַהֲרֹ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
לֵ֛ךְ [3] Tevir
לִקְרַ֥את מֹשֶׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הַמִּדְבָּ֑רָה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּ֗לֶךְ [3] Revi'i
וַֽיִּפְגְּשֵׁ֛הוּ [3] Tevir
בְּהַ֥ר הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וַיִּשַּׁק־לֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

to Aaron, [2]
 
“Go [3]
to meet Moses, [2]
into the wilderness;” [1]
 
so he went, [3]
and he met him [3]
at the mountain of God, [2]
and he kissed him. [1]
28 וַיַּגֵּ֤ד מֹשֶׁה֙ [3] Pashta
לְאַֽהֲרֹ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
אֵ֛ת [3] Tevir
כׇּל־דִּבְרֵ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֣ר שְׁלָח֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְאֵ֥ת כׇּל־הָאֹתֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר צִוָּֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq

to Aaron [2]

all the words of the LORD [2]
with which he had sent him; [1]
 
and all the signs [2]
with which he had instructed him. [1]

וַיַּ֣אַסְפ֔וּ [2] Zaqef
אֶת־כׇּל־זִקְנֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 29 Then Moses went, [2]
and Aaron; [1]
 
and they gathered together [2]
all the elders [2]
of the children of Israel. [1]
30 וַיְדַבֵּ֣ר אַהֲרֹ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv
כׇּל־הַדְּבָרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁר־דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּ֥עַשׂ הָאֹתֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
לְעֵינֵ֥י הָעָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

which the LORD had spoken [2]
to Moses; [1]
 
and he did the signs [2]
in the sight of the people. [1]
31 וַֽיַּאֲמֵ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
הָעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַֽיִּשְׁמְע֡וּ [4] Pazer
כִּֽי־פָקַ֨ד יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh
אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל [3] Revi'i
 
וְכִ֤י רָאָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־עׇנְיָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וַֽיִּקְּד֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וַיִּֽשְׁתַּחֲוֽוּ׃ [1] Silluq

the people; [1]
 
and when they heard [4]
that the LORD had remembered [4]
the children of Israel, [3]
 
and that he had seen [3]
their affliction, [2]
 
then they bowed down [2]
and they worshiped. [1]
