1 2 3 3 2 2 3 2 3 2 1 Then afterwards [3]
they went, [3]
Moses and Aaron, [2]

and they said [2]
to Pharaoh; [1]

“Thus says the LORD [3]
the God of Israel, [2]

‘Let go [3]

that they may hold a feast for me [2]
in the wilderness.’ ” [1]
2 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef

מִ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta

I do not know [3 3]

“The God of the Hebrews, [2]
he has met with us; [1]

please let us go [4]
a journey of three days [4]
into the wilderness [3]

that we may sacrifice [3]

“Why [3]

for they are idle, [2]

10 וַיֵּ֨צְא֜וּ [4] Geresh
נֹגְשֵׂ֤י הָעָם֙ [3] Pashta

1 2 2 12 So the people scattered [2]

insisting saying; [1]

“Fulfill your work, [3]

גַּם־תְּמ֖וֹל [2] Tip'cha
גַּם־הַיּֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 2 2 3 4 2 14 And they were beaten, [3]
the foremen [3]
of the children of Israel, [2]

whom they had set over them, [2]
the slave masters of Pharaoh [2]
saying; [1]

“Why [4]
have you not met your quota of making bricks [3]
like before, [2]

both yesterday [2]
and today?” [1]
15 וַיָּבֹ֗אוּ [3] Revi'i

לָ֧מָּה תַעֲשֶׂ֦ה כֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha

1 2 3 3 2 2 15 Then they came, [3]
the foremen [3]
of the children of Israel, [2]

and they cried out to Pharaoh [2]
saying; [1]

“Why are you doing this [2]
to your servants? [1]
16 תֶּ֗בֶן [3] Revi'i

וְהִנֵּ֧ה עֲבָדֶ֛יךָ [3] Tevir

וְחָטָ֥את עַמֶּֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 3 2 3 16 Straw [3]
is not given [3]
to your servants, [2]

yet bricks [3]
we are told [2]
to make; [1]

and behold your servants [3]

but it is your own people at fault.” [1]
17 וַיֹּ֛אמֶר [3] Tevir
נִרְפִּ֥ים אַתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha

1 2 3 2 3 2 17 But he said, [3]
“You are idle, [2]

1 2 3 2 2 18 So now [3]
go work, [2]

and straw, [2]
it shall not be given to you; [1]

but the required number of bricks [2]

“You shall not reduce from your bricks [2]
