[1]
	²כִּֽי־נָשְׂא֣וּ מִבְּנֹֽתֵיהֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i לָהֶם֙ [3] Pashta וְלִבְנֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef וְהִתְעָֽרְבוּ֙ [3] Pashta זֶ֣רַע הַקֹּ֔דֶשׁ [2] Zaqef בְּעַמֵּ֖י [2] Tip'cha הָאֲרָצ֑וֹת [1] Etnachta וְיַ֧ד הַשָּׂרִ֣ים וְהַסְּגָנִ֗ים [3] Revi'i הָ֥יְתָ֛ה [3] Tevir בַּמַּ֥עַל הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha רִאשׁוֹנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		²For they have taken some of their daughters [3] for themselves [3] and for their sons, [2] and they have mixed themselves [3] the holy offspring [2] with the peoples [2] of the lands; [1] and the hand of the leaders and the rulers, [3] it has been [3] in this unfaithfulness, [2] first.” [1]
	³וּכְשׇׁמְעִי֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef קָרַ֥עְתִּי אֶת־בִּגְדִ֖י [2] Tip'cha וּמְעִילִ֑י [1] Etnachta וָאֶמְרְטָ֞ה [4] Gershayim מִשְּׂעַ֤ר רֹאשִׁי֙ [3] Pashta וּזְקָנִ֔י [2] Zaqef וָאֵשְׁבָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha מְשׁוֹמֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq		³And when I heard [3] this thing, [2] I tore my garment [2] and my robe; [1] and I pulled out [4] some of the hair of my head [3] and my beard, [2] and I sat down [2] appalled. [1]
	⁴וְאֵלַ֣י יֵאָסְפ֗וּ [3] Revi'i כֹּ֚ל [3] Yetiv חָרֵד֙ [3] Pashta בְּדִבְרֵ֣י אֱלֹהֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef עַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha מַ֣עַל הַגּוֹלָ֑ה [1] Etnachta וַאֲנִי֙ [3] Pashta יֹשֵׁ֣ב מְשׁוֹמֵ֔ם [2] Zaqef עַ֖ד [2] Tip'cha לְמִנְחַ֥ת הָעָֽרֶב׃ [1] Silluq		⁴And to me they gathered, [3] all [3] trembling [3] at the words of the God of Israel, [2] because of [2] the unfaithfulness of the exiles; [1] and I [3] sat appalled [2] until [2] the evening offering. [1]
	⁵וּבְמִנְחַ֣ת הָעֶ֗רֶב [3] Revi'i קַ֚מְתִּי [3] Yetiv מִתַּֽעֲנִיתִ֔י [2] Zaqef וּבְקׇרְעִ֥י בִגְדִ֖י [2] Tip'cha וּמְעִילִ֑י [1] Etnachta וָֽאֶכְרְעָה֙ [3] Pashta עַל־בִּרְכַּ֔י [2] Zaqef וָאֶפְרְשָׂ֥ה כַפַּ֖י [2] Tip'cha אֶל־יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽי׃ [1] Silluq		⁵And at the evening offering [3] I arose [3] from my humiliation, [2] with my garment torn [2] and my robe; [1] and I bowed down [3] on my knees, [2] and I spread out my palms [2] to the LORD my God, [1]
	⁶וָאֹמְרָ֗ה [3] Revi'i אֱלֹהַי֙ [3] Pashta בֹּ֣שְׁתִּי וְנִכְלַ֔מְתִּי [2] Zaqef לְהָרִ֧ים אֱלֹהַ֛י [3] Tevir פָּנַ֖י [2] Tip'cha אֵלֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta כִּ֣י עֲוֺנֹתֵ֤ינוּ רָבוּ֙ [3] Pashta לְמַ֣עְלָה רֹּ֔אשׁ [2] Zaqef וְאַשְׁמָתֵ֥נוּ גָדְלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha עַ֥ד לַשָּׁמָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq		⁶and I said, [3] “O my God, [3] I am ashamed, and I am ashamed [2] to lift up O my God [3] my face [2] to you; [1] for our iniquities they have increased [3] over our head, [2] and our guilt it is great [2] up to the heavens. [1]
	⁷מִימֵ֣י אֲבֹתֵ֗ינוּ [3] Revi'i אֲנַ֙חְנוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta בְּאַשְׁמָ֣ה גְדֹלָ֔ה [2] Zaqef עַ֖ד [2] Tip'cha הַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה [1] Etnachta וּבַעֲוֺנֹתֵ֡ינוּ [4] Pazer נִתַּ֡נּוּ [4] Pazer אֲנַ֩חְנוּ֩ מְלָכֵ֨ינוּ כֹהֲנֵ֜ינוּ [4] Geresh בְּיַ֣ד ׀ [4] Legarmeh מַלְכֵ֣י הָאֲרָצ֗וֹת [3] Revi'i בַּחֶ֜רֶב [4] Geresh בַּשְּׁבִ֧י וּבַבִּזָּ֛ה [3] Tevir וּבְבֹ֥שֶׁת פָּנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha כְּהַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq		⁷Since the days of our fathers [3] we [3 3] have been exceedingly guilty [2] to [2] this day; [1] and for our iniquities [4] we have been given, [4] we, our kings, our priests, [4] into the hand [4] of the kings of the lands, [3] by the sword, [4] by captivity and by plunder, [3] and by shame of face, [2] as it is this day. [1]
	⁸וְעַתָּ֡ה [4] Pazer כִּמְעַט־רֶ֩גַע֩ הָיְתָ֨ה תְחִנָּ֜ה [4] Geresh מֵאֵ֣ת ׀ [4] Legarmeh יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ [3] Revi'i לְהַשְׁאִ֥יר לָ֙נוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta פְּלֵיטָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְלָתֶת־לָ֥נוּ יָתֵ֖ד [2] Tip'cha בִּמְק֣וֹם קׇדְשׁ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta לְהָאִ֤יר עֵינֵ֙ינוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta אֱלֹהֵ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef וּלְתִתֵּ֛נוּ [3] Tevir מִֽחְיָ֥ה מְעַ֖ט [2] Tip'cha בְּעַבְדֻתֵֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq		⁸And now [4] for a little moment grace has come [4] from [4] the LORD our God, [3] to leave for us [3 3] an escaped remnant, [2] and to give to us a tent peg [2] in his holy place; [1] that (he) may light up our eyes, [3 3] our God, [2] and give to us [3] a little reviving [2] in our bondage. [1]
	⁹כִּֽי־עֲבָדִ֣ים אֲנַ֔חְנוּ [2] Zaqef וּ֨בְעַבְדֻ֔תֵנוּ [2] Zaqef לֹ֥א עֲזָבָ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ [1] Etnachta וַֽיַּט־עָלֵ֣ינוּ חֶ֡סֶד [4] Pazer לִפְנֵי֩ מַלְכֵ֨י פָרַ֜ס [4] Geresh לָֽתֶת־לָ֣נוּ מִֽחְיָ֗ה [3] Revi'i לְרוֹמֵ֞ם [4] Gershayim אֶת־בֵּ֤ית אֱלֹהֵ֙ינוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta וּלְהַעֲמִ֣יד אֶת־חׇרְבֹתָ֔יו [2] Zaqef וְלָֽתֶת־לָ֣נוּ גָדֵ֔ר [2] Zaqef בִּֽיהוּדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וּבִירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ [1] Silluq ס		⁹For we are slaves, [2] yet in our bondage [2] he has not forsaken us, [2] our God; [1] but he has extended to us lovingkindness [4] before the kings of Persia [4] by giving to us reviving, [3] to raise up [4] the house of our God, [3 3] and to repair its ruins, [2] and by giving to us a wall [2] in Judah [2] and in Jerusalem. 	¹⁰וְעַתָּ֛ה [3] Tevir מַה־נֹּאמַ֥ר אֱלֹהֵ֖ינוּ [2] Tip'cha אַֽחֲרֵי־זֹ֑את [1] Etnachta כִּ֥י עָזַ֖בְנוּ [2] Tip'cha מִצְוֺתֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁰“Now [3] what can we say O our God, [2] after this? [1] For we have forsaken [2] your commandments, [1]
	¹¹אֲשֶׁ֣ר צִוִּ֗יתָ [3] Revi'i בְּיַ֨ד עֲבָדֶ֣יךָ הַנְּבִיאִים֮ [3] Zarqa לֵאמֹר֒ [2] Segol הָאָ֗רֶץ [3] Revi'i אֲשֶׁ֨ר אַתֶּ֤ם בָּאִים֙ [3] Pashta לְרִשְׁתָּ֔הּ [2] Zaqef אֶ֤רֶץ נִדָּה֙ [3] Pashta הִ֔יא [2] Zaqef בְּנִדַּ֖ת [2] Tip'cha עַמֵּ֣י הָאֲרָצ֑וֹת [1] Etnachta בְּתוֹעֲבֹֽתֵיהֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i אֲשֶׁ֥ר מִלְא֛וּהָ [3] Tevir מִפֶּ֥ה אֶל־פֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בְּטֻמְאָתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq		¹¹which you commanded [3] by the hand of your servants the prophets [3] saying, [2] ‘The land, [3] to which you go [3] to take possession of it, [2] is a land of impurity [3] it, [2] by the impurity [2] of the peoples of the lands; [1] by their abominations, [3] which have filled it [3] from one end to another, [2] with their uncleanness. [1]
	¹²וְ֠עַתָּ֠ה [4 4] TelishaG בְּֽנוֹתֵיכֶ֞ם [4] Gershayim אַל־תִּתְּנ֣וּ לִבְנֵיהֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i וּבְנֹֽתֵיהֶם֙ [3] Pashta אַל־תִּשְׂא֣וּ לִבְנֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef וְלֹֽא־תִדְרְשׁ֧וּ שְׁלֹמָ֛ם [3] Tevir וְטוֹבָתָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha עַד־עוֹלָ֑ם [1] Etnachta לְמַ֣עַן תֶּחֶזְק֗וּ [3] Revi'i וַאֲכַלְתֶּם֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־ט֣וּב הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef וְהוֹרַשְׁתֶּ֥ם לִבְנֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha עַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq		¹²Now therefore [4 4] your daughters [4] do not give to their sons, [3] and their daughters [3] do not take for your sons, [2] and you must not seek their peace [3] or their prosperity [2] forever; [1] that you may be strong, [3] and you will eat [3] the good things of the land, [2] and you will leave it as an inheritance to your sons [2] forever.’ [1]
	¹³וְאַֽחֲרֵי֙ [3] Pashta כׇּל־הַבָּ֣א עָלֵ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef בְּמַעֲשֵׂ֙ינוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta הָרָעִ֔ים [2] Zaqef וּבְאַשְׁמָתֵ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha הַגְּדֹלָ֑ה [1] Etnachta כִּ֣י ׀ [4] Legarmeh אַתָּ֣ה אֱלֹהֵ֗ינוּ [3] Revi'i חָשַׂ֤כְתָּֽ לְמַ֙טָּה֙ [3 3] Pashta מֵֽעֲוֺנֵ֔נוּ [2] Zaqef וְנָתַ֥תָּה לָּ֛נוּ [3] Tevir פְּלֵיטָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha כָּזֹֽאת׃ [1] Silluq		¹³“And after [3] all that has come on us [2] for our deeds, [3 3] evil [2] and by our guilt, [2] great; [1] for [4] you O our God, [3] you have punished us less [3 3] than our iniquities deserve, [2] and you have given to us [3] an escaped remnant [2] like this, [1]
	¹⁴הֲנָשׁוּב֙ [3] Pashta לְהָפֵ֣ר מִצְוֺתֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef וּ֨לְהִתְחַתֵּ֔ן [2] Zaqef בְּעַמֵּ֥י הַתֹּעֵב֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha הָאֵ֑לֶּה [1] Etnachta הֲל֤וֹא תֶֽאֱנַף־בָּ֙נוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta עַד־כַּלֵּ֔ה [2] Zaqef לְאֵ֥ין שְׁאֵרִ֖ית [2] Tip'cha וּפְלֵיטָֽה׃ [1] Silluq ס		¹⁴shall we return [3] to break your commandments, [2] and to join ourselves [2] with the peoples of the abominations [2] these? [1] Will you not be angry with us [3 3] until (we are) consumed, [2] so there will not be a remnant, [2] nor any to escape? [1] §
	¹⁵יְהֹוָ֞ה [4] Gershayim אֱלֹהֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Pashta צַדִּ֣יק אַ֔תָּה [2] Zaqef כִּֽי־נִשְׁאַ֥רְנוּ פְלֵיטָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha כְּהַיּ֣וֹם הַזֶּ֑ה [1] Etnachta הִנְנ֤וּ לְפָנֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta בְּאַשְׁמָתֵ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef כִּ֣י אֵ֥ין לַעֲמ֛וֹד [3] Tevir לְפָנֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha עַל־זֹֽאת׃ [1] Silluq פ		¹⁵O LORD [4] the God of Israel, [3] you are righteous, [2] for we are left an escaped remnant [2] as it is this day. [1] Here we are before you [3 3] in our guilt, [2] for no one can stand [3] before you [2] because of this.” [1] ¶
