| 1 וַיְכֻלּ֛וּ [3] Tevir  הַשָּׁמַ֥יִם וְהָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha וְכׇל־צְבָאָֽם׃ [1] Silluq  | 
1 And they were finished, [3]  the heavens and the earth, [2] and all their vast array. [1]  |

| 2 וַיְכַ֤ל אֱלֹהִים֙ [3] Pashta  בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשָׂ֑ה [1] Etnachta בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָשָֽׂה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
2 God had finished [3]  by the seventh day [2] which he had done; [1] on the seventh day [2] which he had done. [1]  |

| 3 וַיְבָ֤רֶךְ אֱלֹהִים֙ [3] Pashta  אֶת־י֣וֹם הַשְּׁבִיעִ֔י [2] Zaqef אֹת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta מִכׇּל־מְלַאכְתּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef לַעֲשֽׂוֹת׃ [1] Silluq פ  | 
3 And God blessed [3]  the seventh day, [2] it; [1] from all his work [2] to do. [1] ¶  |

| 4 אֵ֣לֶּה תוֹלְד֧וֹת הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם [3] Tevir  וְהָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha בְּהִבָּֽרְאָ֑ם [1] Etnachta עֲשׂ֛וֹת [3] Tevir יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha אֶ֥רֶץ וְשָׁמָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq  | 
4 These are the accounts of the heavens [3]  and the earth [2] when they were created; [1] made [3] the LORD God, [2] the earth and the heavens. [1]  |

| 5 וְכֹ֣ל ׀ [4] Legarmeh  שִׂ֣יחַ הַשָּׂדֶ֗ה [3] Revi'i יִֽהְיֶ֣ה בָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef טֶ֣רֶם יִצְמָ֑ח [1] Etnachta יְהֹוָ֤ה אֱלֹהִים֙ [3] Pashta עַל־הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef לַֽעֲבֹ֖ד [2] Tip'cha אֶת־הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
5 And all [4]  the plants of the field, [3] were they on the earth, [2] not yet were they sprouting; [1] the LORD God, [3] on the earth, [2] to till [2] the ground, [1]  |

| 6 וְאֵ֖ד [2] Tip'cha  יַֽעֲלֶ֣ה מִן־הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta אֶֽת־כׇּל־פְּנֵ֥י הָֽאֲדָמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
6 but a mist, [2]  it came up from the earth; [1] all the surface of the ground. [1]  |

| 7 וַיִּ֩יצֶר֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה אֱלֹהִ֜ים [4] Geresh  אֶת־הָֽאָדָ֗ם [3] Revi'i מִן־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה [2] Zaqef נִשְׁמַ֣ת חַיִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta לְנֶ֥פֶשׁ חַיָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
7 And the LORD God formed [4]  the man [3] from the ground, [2] the breath of life; [1] a living creature. [1]  |

| 8 וַיִּטַּ֞ע [4] Gershayim  יְהֹוָ֧ה אֱלֹהִ֛ים [3] Tevir גַּן־בְּעֵ֖דֶן [2] Tip'cha מִקֶּ֑דֶם [1] Etnachta אֶת־הָֽאָדָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָצָֽר׃ [1] Silluq  | 
8 And he planted, [4]  the LORD God, [3] a garden in Eden, [2] in the east; [1] the man [2] whom he had formed. [1]  |

| 9 וַיַּצְמַ֞ח [4] Gershayim  יְהֹוָ֤ה אֱלֹהִים֙ [3] Pashta מִן־הָ֣אֲדָמָ֔ה [2] Zaqef נֶחְמָ֥ד לְמַרְאֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וְט֣וֹב לְמַאֲכָ֑ל [1] Etnachta בְּת֣וֹךְ הַגָּ֔ן [2] Zaqef הַדַּ֖עַת [2] Tip'cha ט֥וֹב וָרָֽע׃ [1] Silluq  | 
9 And he made to grow, [4]  the LORD God, [3] out of the ground, [2] pleasant to the sight [2] and good for food; [1] in the middle of the garden, [2] of the knowledge [2] of good and evil. [1]  |

| 10 וְנָהָר֙ [3] Pashta  יֹצֵ֣א מֵעֵ֔דֶן [2] Zaqef אֶת־הַגָּ֑ן [1] Etnachta יִפָּרֵ֔ד [2] Zaqef לְאַרְבָּעָ֥ה רָאשִֽׁים׃ [1] Silluq  | 
10 And a river [3]  went out from Eden [2] the garden; [1] it was parted, [2] the source of four rivers. [1]  |

| 11 שֵׁ֥ם הָֽאֶחָ֖ד [2] Tip'cha  פִּישׁ֑וֹן [1] Etnachta אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv כׇּל־אֶ֣רֶץ הַֽחֲוִילָ֔ה [2] Zaqef הַזָּהָֽב׃ [1] Silluq  | 
11 The name of the first [2]  is Pishon. [1] the [3] whole land of Havilah, [2] gold, [1]  |

| 12 וּֽזְהַ֛ב [3] Tevir  הָאָ֥רֶץ הַהִ֖וא [2] Tip'cha ט֑וֹב [1] Etnachta וְאֶ֥בֶן הַשֹּֽׁהַם׃ [1] Silluq  | 
12 and the gold [3]  of that land [2] is good; [1] and onyx stone. [1]  |

| 13 וְשֵֽׁם־הַנָּהָ֥ר הַשֵּׁנִ֖י [2] Tip'cha  גִּיח֑וֹן [1] Etnachta אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־אֶ֥רֶץ כּֽוּשׁ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
13 And the name of the second river [2]  is Gihon. [1] the [2] whole land of Cush. [1]  |

| 14 וְשֵׁ֨ם הַנָּהָ֤ר הַשְּׁלִישִׁי֙ [3] Pashta  חִדֶּ֔קֶל [2] Zaqef קִדְמַ֣ת אַשּׁ֑וּר [1] Etnachta ה֥וּא פְרָֽת׃ [1] Silluq  | 
14 And the name of the third river [3]  is Hiddekel. [2] on the east side of Assyria. [1] it is the Euphrates. [1]  |

| 15 וַיִּקַּ֛ח [3] Tevir  יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha אֶת־הָֽאָדָ֑ם [1] Etnachta לְעׇבְדָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha וּלְשׇׁמְרָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
15 And he took, [3]  the LORD God, [2] the man; [1] to cultivate it [2] and to keep it. [1]  |

| 16 וַיְצַו֙ [3] Pashta  יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Zaqef לֵאמֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta אָכֹ֥ל תֹּאכֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq  | 
16 And he commanded, [3]  the LORD God [2] saying; [1] you may freely eat, [1]  |

| 17 וּמֵעֵ֗ץ [3] Revi'i  הַדַּ֙עַת֙ [3 3] Pashta ט֣וֹב וָרָ֔ע [2] Zaqef מִמֶּ֑נּוּ [1] Etnachta בְּי֛וֹם [3] Tevir אֲכׇלְךָ֥ מִמֶּ֖נּוּ [2] Tip'cha מ֥וֹת תָּמֽוּת׃ [1] Silluq  | 
17 but from the tree [3]  of the knowledge [3 3] of good and evil, [2] from it; [1] in the day [3] you eat from it, [2] you will surely die.” [1]  |

| 18 וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta  יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Zaqef הֱי֥וֹת הָֽאָדָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha לְבַדּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta כְּנֶגְדּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
18 And he said, [3 3]  the LORD God, [2] for the man to be [2] by himself. [1] comparable to him.” [1]  |

| 19 וַיִּ֩צֶר֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה אֱלֹהִ֜ים [4] Geresh  מִן־הָֽאֲדָמָ֗ה [3] Revi'i וְאֵת֙ [3] Pashta כׇּל־ע֣וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef אֶל־הָ֣אָדָ֔ם [2] Zaqef מַה־יִּקְרָא־ל֑וֹ [1] Etnachta נֶ֥פֶשׁ חַיָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha ה֥וּא שְׁמֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
19 And the LORD God formed [4]  out of the ground [3] and [3] every bird of the sky, [2] to the man [2] what he would call them; [1] each living creature, [2] that was its name. [1]  |

| 20 וַיִּקְרָ֨א הָֽאָדָ֜ם [4] Geresh  שֵׁמ֗וֹת [3] Revi'i וּלְע֣וֹף הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef חַיַּ֣ת הַשָּׂדֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta לֹֽא־מָצָ֥א עֵ֖זֶר [2] Tip'cha כְּנֶגְדּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
20 And the man gave [4]  names [3] and to the birds of the sky, [2] animal of the field; [1] he did not find a helper [2] comparable to him. [1]  |

| 21 וַיַּפֵּל֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה אֱלֹהִ֧ים ׀ תַּרְדֵּמָ֛ה [3] Tevir  עַל־הָאָדָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha וַיִּישָׁ֑ן [1] Etnachta אַחַת֙ [3] Pashta מִצַּלְעֹתָ֔יו [2] Zaqef תַּחְתֶּֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall [3]  on the man, [2] and he fell asleep; [1] one [3] of his ribs, [2] in its place. [1]  |

| 22 וַיִּ֩בֶן֩ יְהֹוָ֨ה אֱלֹהִ֧ים ׀ אֶֽת־הַצֵּלָ֛ע [3] Tevir  אֲשֶׁר־לָקַ֥ח מִן־הָֽאָדָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha לְאִשָּׁ֑ה [1] Etnachta אֶל־הָֽאָדָֽם׃ [1] Silluq  | 
22 And the LORD God made from the rib [3]  which he had taken from the man, [2] a woman; [1] to the man. [1]  |

| 23 וַיֹּ֘אמֶר֮ [3 3] Zarqa  הָֽאָדָם֒ [2] Segol עֶ֚צֶם [3] Yetiv מֵֽעֲצָמַ֔י [2] Zaqef מִבְּשָׂרִ֑י [1] Etnachta יִקָּרֵ֣א אִשָּׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef לֻֽקְחָה־זֹּֽאת׃ [1] Silluq  | 
23 And he said, [3 3]  the man, [2] bone [3] of my bones, [2] of my flesh. [1] will be called ‘woman,’ [2] she was taken, this one.” [1]  |

| 24 עַל־כֵּן֙ [3] Pashta  יַֽעֲזׇב־אִ֔ישׁ [2] Zaqef וְאֶת־אִמּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta וְהָי֖וּ [2] Tip'cha לְבָשָׂ֥ר אֶחָֽד׃ [1] Silluq  | 
24 Therefore [3]  a man leaves [2] and his mother; [1] and they become [2] one flesh. [1]  |

| 25 וַיִּֽהְי֤וּ שְׁנֵיהֶם֙ [3] Pashta  עֲרוּמִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef וְאִשְׁתּ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta יִתְבֹּשָֽׁשׁוּ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
25 And they were both [3]  naked, [2] and his wife; [1] ashamed were they. [1]  |
