מִקֵּ֖ץ [2] Tip'cha
שְׁנָתַ֣יִם יָמִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וּפַרְעֹ֣ה חֹלֵ֔ם [2] Zaqef
וְהִנֵּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עֹמֵ֥ד עַל־הַיְאֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 2 1 And it happened [2]
at the end [2]
of two full years; [1]
 
Pharaoh was dreaming, [2]
and behold [2]
he was standing at the river. [1]
2 וְהִנֵּ֣ה מִן־הַיְאֹ֗ר [3] Revi'i
עֹלֹת֙ [3] Pashta
שֶׁ֣בַע פָּר֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
יְפ֥וֹת מַרְאֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וּבְרִיאֹ֣ת בָּשָׂ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וַתִּרְעֶ֖ינָה [2] Tip'cha
בָּאָֽחוּ׃ [1] Silluq

were coming up [3]
seven cattle, [2]
 
sleek [2]
and fat; [1]
 
and they grazed [2]
among the reeds. [1]
3 וְהִנֵּ֞ה [4] Gershayim
שֶׁ֧בַע פָּר֣וֹת אֲחֵר֗וֹת [3] Revi'i
 
עֹל֤וֹת אַחֲרֵיהֶן֙ [3] Pashta
מִן־הַיְאֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
רָע֥וֹת מַרְאֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְדַקּ֣וֹת בָּשָׂ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֛דְנָה [3] Tevir
אֵ֥צֶל הַפָּר֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
עַל־שְׂפַ֥ת הַיְאֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq

were coming up after them [3]
from the river, [2]
 
ugly [2]
and thin; [1]
 
and they stood [3]
beside the cattle [2]
on the bank of the river. [1]
4 וַתֹּאכַ֣לְנָה הַפָּר֗וֹת [3] Revi'i
רָע֤וֹת הַמַּרְאֶה֙ [3] Pashta
וְדַקֹּ֣ת הַבָּשָׂ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv
שֶׁ֣בַע הַפָּר֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
יְפֹ֥ת הַמַּרְאֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְהַבְּרִיאֹ֑ת [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּיקַ֖ץ [2] Tip'cha
פַּרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq

and he awoke, [2]
Pharaoh. [1]

בְּקָנֶ֥ה אֶחָ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
 
בְּרִיא֥וֹת וְטֹבֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

and he dreamed [2]
a second time; [1]
 
and behold [4]
seven heads of grain [3]
 
were coming up [3]
on one stalk, [2]
 
healthy and good. [1]
6 וְהִנֵּה֙ [3] Pashta
שֶׁ֣בַע שִׁבֳּלִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
דַּקּ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
וּשְׁדוּפֹ֣ת קָדִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
צֹמְח֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
אַחֲרֵיהֶֽן׃ [1] Silluq

seven heads of grain, [2]
 
thin [2]
and scorched by an east wind; [1]
 
were springing up [2]
after them. [1]
7 וַתִּבְלַ֙עְנָה֙ [3 3] Pashta
הַשִּׁבֳּלִ֣ים הַדַּקּ֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
אֵ֚ת [3] Yetiv
שֶׁ֣בַע הַֽשִּׁבֳּלִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
הַבְּרִיא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
וְהַמְּלֵא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּיקַ֥ץ פַּרְעֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְהִנֵּ֥ה חֲלֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq

the thin heads of grain, [2]
 
the [3]
seven heads of grain [2]
 
healthy [2]
and full; [1]
 
and Pharaoh awoke [2]
and behold, it was a dream. [1]
8 וַיְהִ֤י בַבֹּ֙קֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta
וַתִּפָּ֣עֶם רוּח֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּשְׁלַ֗ח [3] Revi'i
וַיִּקְרָ֛א [3] Tevir
אֶת־כׇּל־חַרְטֻמֵּ֥י מִצְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
וְאֶת־כׇּל־חֲכָמֶ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְסַפֵּ֨ר פַּרְעֹ֤ה לָהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־חֲלֹמ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֵין־פּוֹתֵ֥ר אוֹתָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
לְפַרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq

his spirit was troubled, [2]
 
and he sent [3]
and he called for [3]
all the magicians of Egypt, [2]
and all its wise men; [1]
 
and Pharaoh recounted to them [3]
his dream, [2]
 
but there was no one who could interpret them [2]
for Pharaoh. [1]
9 וַיְדַבֵּר֙ [3] Pashta
שַׂ֣ר הַמַּשְׁקִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
אֶת־פַּרְעֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לֵאמֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
אֶת־חֲטָאַ֕י [2] ZaqefG
אֲנִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
מַזְכִּ֥יר הַיּֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq

with Pharaoh [2]

“My sins [2]
I [2]
am remembering today. [1]
10 פַּרְעֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
קָצַ֣ף עַל־עֲבָדָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּתֵּ֨ן אֹתִ֜י [4] Geresh
בְּמִשְׁמַ֗ר [3] Revi'i
 
בֵּ֚ית [3] Yetiv
שַׂ֣ר הַטַּבָּחִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
אֹתִ֕י [2] ZaqefG
וְאֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
שַׂ֥ר הָאֹפִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

he was angry with his servants; [1]
 
and he put me [4]
in the custody [3]
 
of the house [3]
of the captain of the guard, [2]

11 וַנַּֽחַלְמָ֥ה חֲל֛וֹם [3] Tevir
בְּלַ֥יְלָה אֶחָ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
אֲנִ֣י וָה֑וּא [1] Etnachta
 
אִ֛ישׁ [3] Tevir
כְּפִתְר֥וֹן חֲלֹמ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
חָלָֽמְנוּ׃ [1] Silluq

in one night, [2]
I and he; [1]
 
each [3]
according to the interpretation of his dream, [2]
we dreamed. [1]
12 וְשָׁ֨ם אִתָּ֜נוּ [4] Geresh
נַ֣עַר עִבְרִ֗י [3] Revi'i
 
עֶ֚בֶד [3] Yetiv
לְשַׂ֣ר הַטַּבָּחִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וַ֨נְּסַפֶּר־ל֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
וַיִּפְתׇּר־לָ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־חֲלֹמֹתֵ֑ינוּ [1] Etnachta
 
אִ֥ישׁ כַּחֲלֹמ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
פָּתָֽר׃ [1] Silluq

a young man, a Hebrew, [3]
 
a slave [3]
of the captain of the guard, [2]
 
and we recounted to him, [2]
and he interpreted for us [2]
our dreams; [1]
 
each according to his dream, [2]
he interpreted. [1]
13 וַיְהִ֛י [3] Tevir
כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר פָּֽתַר־לָ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha
כֵּ֣ן הָיָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
אֹתִ֛י [3] Tevir
הֵשִׁ֥יב עַל־כַּנִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וְאֹת֥וֹ תָלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

just as he interpreted for us, [2]
so it was; [1]
 
me [3]
he restored to my office, [2]
and him, he hanged.” [1]
14 וַיִּשְׁלַ֤ח פַּרְעֹה֙ [3] Pashta
וַיִּקְרָ֣א אֶת־יוֹסֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef
 
וַיְרִיצֻ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha
מִן־הַבּ֑וֹר [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְגַלַּח֙ [3] Pashta
וַיְחַלֵּ֣ף שִׂמְלֹתָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
וַיָּבֹ֖א [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־פַּרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq

and he called Joseph, [2]
 
and they brought him quickly [2]
from the pit; [1]
 
and he shaved [3]
and he changed his clothes, [2]
 
and he came [2]
to Pharaoh. [1]
15 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר פַּרְעֹה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־יוֹסֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef
 
חֲל֣וֹם חָלַ֔מְתִּי [2] Zaqef
וּפֹתֵ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
אֵ֣ין אֹת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וַאֲנִ֗י [3] Revi'i
שָׁמַ֤עְתִּי עָלֶ֙יךָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
תִּשְׁמַ֥ע חֲל֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha
לִפְתֹּ֥ר אֹתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

to Joseph, [2]
 
“A dream I have dreamed, [2]
and one who can interpret [2]
there is not; [1]
 
and I, [3]
I have heard about you [3 3]
saying, [2]
 
that when you hear a dream [2]
you can interpret it.” [1]
16 וַיַּ֨עַן יוֹסֵ֧ף אֶת־פַּרְעֹ֛ה [3] Tevir
לֵאמֹ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
בִּלְעָדָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
אֱלֹהִ֕ים [2] ZaqefG
יַעֲנֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־שְׁל֥וֹם פַּרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq

saying, [2]
“It's not in me; [1]
 
God, [2]
he will answer [2]
Pharaoh with peace.” [1]
17 וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר פַּרְעֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־יוֹסֵ֑ף [1] Etnachta
 
בַּחֲלֹמִ֕י [2] ZaqefG
הִנְנִ֥י עֹמֵ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
עַל־שְׂפַ֥ת הַיְאֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq

to Joseph; [1]
 
“In my dream, [2]
behold I was standing [2]
on the bank of the river, [1]
18 וְהִנֵּ֣ה מִן־הַיְאֹ֗ר [3] Revi'i
עֹלֹת֙ [3] Pashta
שֶׁ֣בַע פָּר֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
בְּרִיא֥וֹת בָּשָׂ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
וִיפֹ֣ת תֹּ֑אַר [1] Etnachta
 
וַתִּרְעֶ֖ינָה [2] Tip'cha

בְּכׇל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
לָרֹֽעַ׃ [1] Silluq

poor and ugly [3]
very, [2]
and thin; [1]
 
such as I have not seen [3]
in all the land of Egypt [2]
for ugliness. [1]
20 וַתֹּאכַ֙לְנָה֙ [3 3] Pashta
הַפָּר֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
הָרַקּ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
וְהָרָע֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
אֵ֣ת שֶׁ֧בַע הַפָּר֛וֹת [3] Tevir
הָרִאשֹׁנ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
הַבְּרִיאֹֽת׃ [1] Silluq

the cattle, [2]
 
the thin [2]
and ugly; [1]
 
the seven cattle [3]
the first, [2]
the fat, [1]
21 וַתָּבֹ֣אנָה אֶל־קִרְבֶּ֗נָה [3] Revi'i
וְלֹ֤א נוֹדַע֙ [3] Pashta
כִּי־בָ֣אוּ אֶל־קִרְבֶּ֔נָה [2] Zaqef
 
וּמַרְאֵיהֶ֣ן רַ֔ע [2] Zaqef
כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
בַּתְּחִלָּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וָאִיקָֽץ׃ [1] Silluq

it couldn’t be known [3]
that they had eaten them, [2]
 
for they were still ugly, [2]
just as [2]
at the beginning; [1]
 
then I awoke. [1]

in my dream; [1]

seven heads of grain [3]
 
were coming up [3]

full and good, [1]

צְנֻמ֥וֹת דַּקּ֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
שְׁדֻפ֣וֹת קָדִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
צֹמְח֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
אַחֲרֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

seven heads of grain, [2]
 
withered, thin, [2]
scorched by an east wind; [1]
 
were springing up [2]
after them. [1]
24 וַתִּבְלַ֙עְןָ֙ [3 3] Pashta
הַשִּׁבֳּלִ֣ים הַדַּקֹּ֔ת [2] Zaqef
 
אֵ֛ת [3] Tevir
שֶׁ֥בַע הַֽשִּׁבֳּלִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
הַטֹּב֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
וָֽאֹמַר֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־הַֽחַרְטֻמִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֵ֥ין מַגִּ֖יד [2] Tip'cha
לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq

the thin heads of grain, [2]

seven heads of grain, [2]
the good; [1]

to the magicians, [2]

אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁ֧ר הָאֱלֹהִ֛ים [3] Tevir
עֹשֶׂ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הִגִּ֥יד לְפַרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq

to Pharaoh, [2]
 
“The dream of Pharaoh, [2]
it is one. [1]
 
What God [3]
is about to do, [2]
he has told to Pharaoh. [1]

שֶׁ֤בַע שָׁנִים֙ [3] Pashta
הֵ֔נָּה [2] Zaqef
 
וְשֶׁ֤בַע הַֽשִּׁבֳּלִים֙ [3] Pashta
הַטֹּבֹ֔ת [2] Zaqef
 
שֶׁ֥בַע שָׁנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha

seven years [3]
are they, [2]
 
and the seven heads of grain, [3]
the empty, [2]
 
scorched [2]
by the east wind; [1]
 
they will be [2]
seven [2]
years of famine. [1]

אֲשֶׁ֧ר הָאֱלֹהִ֛ים [3] Tevir

הֶרְאָ֥ה אֶת־פַּרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq

which I spoke [2]
to Pharaoh; [1]
 
that which God [3]
is about to do, [2]
he has shown Pharaoh. [1]
29 הִנֵּ֛ה [3] Tevir

בָּא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
שָׂבָ֥ע גָּד֖וֹל [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

seven years [2]
are about to come; [1]
 
of great plenty [2]
in all the land of Egypt. [1]
30 וְ֠קָ֠מוּ [4 4] TelishaG
שֶׁ֜בַע [4] Geresh
שְׁנֵ֤י רָעָב֙ [3] Pashta
אַחֲרֵיהֶ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
וְנִשְׁכַּ֥ח כׇּל־הַשָּׂבָ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וְכִלָּ֥ה הָרָעָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 4 2 2 30 And they will arise, [4 4]
seven [4]
years of famine [3]
after them, [2]
 
and all the plenty will be forgotten [2]
in the land of Egypt; [1]
 
and the famine will consume [2]
the land, [1]
31 וְלֹֽא־יִוָּדַ֤ע הַשָּׂבָע֙ [3] Pashta
בָּאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef
 
מִפְּנֵ֛י [3] Tevir
הָרָעָ֥ב הַה֖וּא [2] Tip'cha
אַחֲרֵי־כֵ֑ן [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־כָבֵ֥ד ה֖וּא [2] Tip'cha
מְאֹֽד׃ [1] Silluq

in the land, [2]
 
because of [3]
that famine [2]
which follows; [1]
 
for it will be grievous, [2]
very. [1]
32 וְעַ֨ל הִשָּׁנ֧וֹת הַחֲל֛וֹם [3] Tevir
אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
פַּעֲמָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־נָכ֤וֹן הַדָּבָר֙ [3] Pashta
מֵעִ֣ם הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וּמְמַהֵ֥ר הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לַעֲשֹׂתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

הַשָּׁנִ֣ים הַטֹּב֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
הַבָּאֹ֖ת [2] Tip'cha

וְיִצְבְּרוּ־בָ֞ר [4] Gershayim
תַּ֧חַת יַד־פַּרְעֹ֛ה [3] Tevir

which are coming, [2]

for food in the cities, [2]

36 וְהָיָ֨ה הָאֹ֤כֶל לְפִקָּדוֹן֙ [3] Pashta

לְשֶׁ֙בַע֙ [3 3] Pashta
שְׁנֵ֣י הָרָעָ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר תִּהְיֶ֖יןָ [2] Tip'cha
בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹֽא־תִכָּרֵ֥ת הָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
בָּרָעָֽב׃ [1] Silluq

which they will be [2]

the Spirit of God [2]

אַחֲרֵ֨י הוֹדִ֧יעַ אֱלֹהִ֛ים [3] Tevir

אֵין־נָב֥וֹן וְחָכָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
כָּמֽוֹךָ׃ [1] Silluq

“Since God has shown [3]
to you [2]
all of this; [1]
 
there is no one so discerning and wise [2]
as you. [1]
40 אַתָּה֙ [3] Pashta
תִּהְיֶ֣ה עַל־בֵּיתִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְעַל־פִּ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
יִשַּׁ֣ק כׇּל־עַמִּ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
רַ֥ק הַכִּסֵּ֖א [2] Tip'cha
אֶגְדַּ֥ל מִמֶּֽךָּ׃ [1] Silluq

you shall be over my house, [2]
 
and by your word [2]
all my people will be ruled. [1]
 
Only in the throne [2]
will I be greater than you.” [1]

נָתַ֣תִּי אֹֽתְךָ֔ [2] Zaqef

“Behold [3]
I am setting you [2]

all the land of Egypt.” [1]

מֵעַ֣ל יָד֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּתֵּ֥ן אֹתָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
עַל־יַ֣ד יוֹסֵ֑ף [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּלְבֵּ֤שׁ אֹתוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
בִּגְדֵי־שֵׁ֔שׁ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיָּ֛שֶׂם [3] Tevir
רְבִ֥ד הַזָּהָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
עַל־צַוָּארֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

on the hand of Joseph; [1]

in garments of fine linen, [2]

43 וַיַּרְכֵּ֣ב אֹת֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
בְּמִרְכֶּ֤בֶת הַמִּשְׁנֶה֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁר־ל֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּקְרְא֥וּ לְפָנָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
אַבְרֵ֑ךְ [1] Etnachta
 
וְנָת֣וֹן אֹת֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
עַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

and they cried out before him, [2]
“Bow the knee!” [1]

“I am Pharaoh; [1]
 
and apart from you [3]
no one shall lift up his hand [3]
or his foot, [2]
in all the land of Egypt.” [1]
45 וַיִּקְרָ֨א פַרְעֹ֣ה שֵׁם־יוֹסֵף֮ [3] Zarqa
צָֽפְנַ֣ת פַּעְנֵ֒חַ֒ [2 2] Segol
 
וַיִּתֶּן־ל֣וֹ אֶת־אָֽסְנַ֗ת [3] Revi'i
בַּת־פּ֥וֹטִי פֶ֛רַע [3] Tevir
כֹּהֵ֥ן אֹ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
לְאִשָּׁ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּצֵ֥א יוֹסֵ֖ף [2] Tip'cha
עַל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

and he gave to him Asenath [3]
the daughter of Potiphera [3]

לִקְמָצִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

in seven, [2]
the years of plenty; [1]
 
abundantly. [1]
48 וַיִּקְבֹּ֞ץ [4] Gershayim
אֶת־כׇּל־אֹ֣כֶל ׀ [4] Legarmeh
שֶׁ֣בַע שָׁנִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
 
אֲשֶׁ֤ר הָיוּ֙ [3] Pashta
בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּתֶּן־אֹ֖כֶל [2] Tip'cha
בֶּעָרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
אֹ֧כֶל שְׂדֵה־הָעִ֛יר [3] Tevir

49 וַיִּצְבֹּ֨ר יוֹסֵ֥ף בָּ֛ר [3] Tevir
כְּח֥וֹל הַיָּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
הַרְבֵּ֣ה מְאֹ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
עַ֛ד [3] Tevir
כִּי־חָדַ֥ל לִסְפֹּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
כִּי־אֵ֥ין מִסְפָּֽר׃ [1] Silluq

like the sand of the sea, [2]
very much; [1]
 
until [3]
he stopped counting, [2]
for it was without measure. [1]

בְּטֶ֥רֶם תָּב֖וֹא [2] Tip'cha

the name of the firstborn, [2]
Manasseh; [1]
 
“For God has made me forget [3]
all my trouble, [2]

all the household of my father.” [1]

קָרָ֣א אֶפְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־הִפְרַ֥נִי אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha

וַיֹּ֨אמֶר פַּרְעֹ֤ה לְכׇל־מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta
לְכ֣וּ אֶל־יוֹסֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁר־יֹאמַ֥ר לָכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
תַּעֲשֽׂוּ׃ [1] Silluq

and the people cried out [3]
to Pharaoh [2]
for bread; [1]
 
Pharaoh said to all of Egypt, [3 3]
“Go to Joseph. [2]

56 וְהָרָעָ֣ב הָיָ֔ה [2] Zaqef

כׇּל־פְּנֵ֣י הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּפְתַּ֨ח יוֹסֵ֜ף [4] Geresh
אֶֽת־כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֤ר בָּהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
וַיִּשְׁבֹּ֣ר לְמִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
וַיֶּחֱזַ֥ק הָֽרָעָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha

and Joseph opened [4]
all the store houses, [3]
and he sold grain to Egypt, [2]
 
then the famine became severe [2]

בָּ֣אוּ מִצְרַ֔יְמָה [2] Zaqef
 
לִשְׁבֹּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha

כִּֽי־חָזַ֥ק הָרָעָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

to buy grain, [2]
to Joseph; [1]
 
because the famine was severe [2]
