1 וְלֹֽא־יָכֹ֨ל יוֹסֵ֜ף [4] Geresh
לְהִתְאַפֵּ֗ק [3] Revi'i
 
לְכֹ֤ל הַנִּצָּבִים֙ [3] Pashta
עָלָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּקְרָ֕א [2] ZaqefG
הוֹצִ֥יאוּ כׇל־אִ֖ישׁ [2] Tip'cha
מֵעָלָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹא־עָ֤מַד אִישׁ֙ [3] Pashta
אִתּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
בְּהִתְוַדַּ֥ע יוֹסֵ֖ף [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־אֶחָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

to restrain himself [3]
 
before all those who were standing [3]
with him, [2]
 
and he called out, [2]
“Send out every man [2]
from before me!” [1]
 
And no one stood [3]
with him [2]
 
when Joseph made himself known [2]
to his brothers. [1]
2 וַיִּתֵּ֥ן אֶת־קֹל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
בִּבְכִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּשְׁמְע֣וּ מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
וַיִּשְׁמַ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
בֵּ֥ית פַּרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq

in weeping; [1]
 
and the Egyptians heard, [2]
and they heard, [2]
the household of Pharaoh. [1]
3 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יוֹסֵ֤ף אֶל־אֶחָיו֙ [3] Pashta
אֲנִ֣י יוֹסֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef
 
הַע֥וֹד אָבִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
חָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹֽא־יָכְל֤וּ אֶחָיו֙ [3] Pashta
לַעֲנ֣וֹת אֹת֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י נִבְהֲל֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
מִפָּנָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 3 And Joseph said to his brothers, [3]
“I am Joseph! [2]
 
Is my father still [2]
living?” [1]
 
And his brothers were not able [3]
to answer him, [2]
 
for they were terrified [2]
of him. [1]
4 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יוֹסֵ֧ף אֶל־אֶחָ֛יו [3] Tevir
גְּשׁוּ־נָ֥א אֵלַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
וַיִּגָּ֑שׁוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֗אמֶר [3] Revi'i
אֲנִי֙ [3] Pashta
יוֹסֵ֣ף אֲחִיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁר־מְכַרְתֶּ֥ם אֹתִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
מִצְרָֽיְמָה׃ [1] Silluq

“Come near to me, please.” [2]
And they came near; [1]
 
and he said, [3]
“I [3]
am Joseph, your brother, [2]
 
whom you sold me [2]
into Egypt. [1]
5 וְעַתָּ֣ה ׀ [4] Legarmeh
אַל־תֵּעָ֣צְב֗וּ [3] Revi'i
 
וְאַל־יִ֙חַר֙ [3 3] Pashta
בְּעֵ֣ינֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
כִּֽי־מְכַרְתֶּ֥ם אֹתִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
הֵ֑נָּה [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֣י לְמִֽחְיָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
שְׁלָחַ֥נִי אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לִפְנֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

don’t be grieved, [3]
 
nor let it burn [3 3]
in your eyes, [2]
 
that you sold me [2]
here; [1]
 
for to preserve life [2]
God sent me [2]
before you. [1]
6 כִּי־זֶ֛ה [3] Tevir
שְׁנָתַ֥יִם הָרָעָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
בְּקֶ֣רֶב הָאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
וְעוֹד֙ [3] Pashta
חָמֵ֣שׁ שָׁנִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵין־חָרִ֖ישׁ [2] Tip'cha
וְקָצִֽיר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 6 For these [3]
two years the famine [2]
has been across the land; [1]
 
and still [3]
five years [2]
 
there will be no plowing [2]
or harvest. [1]
7 וַיִּשְׁלָחֵ֤נִי אֱלֹהִים֙ [3] Pashta
לִפְנֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
לָשׂ֥וּם לָכֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
שְׁאֵרִ֖ית [2] Tip'cha
בָּאָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
וּלְהַחֲי֣וֹת לָכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
לִפְלֵיטָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
גְּדֹלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

before you [2]
 
to establish you as [3]
a remnant [2]
on the earth; [1]
 
and to preserve you alive [2]
by a deliverance [2]
great. [1]
8 וְעַתָּ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
לֹֽא־אַתֶּ֞ם [4] Gershayim
שְׁלַחְתֶּ֤ם אֹתִי֙ [3] Pashta
הֵ֔נָּה [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וַיְשִׂימֵ֨נִֽי לְאָ֜ב [4] Geresh
לְפַרְעֹ֗ה [3] Revi'i
 
וּלְאָדוֹן֙ [3] Pashta
לְכׇל־בֵּית֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וּמֹשֵׁ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq

it wasn’t you [4]
who sent me [3]
here, [2]

God; [1]
 
and he has made me a father [4]
to Pharaoh, [3]
 
and lord [3]
of all his household, [2]
 
and ruler [2]
over all the land of Egypt. [1]

וַעֲל֣וּ אֶל־אָבִי֒ [2] Segol
 
וַאֲמַרְתֶּ֣ם אֵלָ֗יו [3] Revi'i
כֹּ֤ה אָמַר֙ [3] Pashta
בִּנְךָ֣ יוֹסֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef
 
שָׂמַ֧נִי אֱלֹהִ֛ים [3] Tevir
לְאָד֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
לְכׇל־מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
רְדָ֥ה אֵלַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אַֽל־תַּעֲמֹֽד׃ [1] Silluq

and go up to my father, [2]
 
and tell him, [3]
‘Thus he says, [3]
your son Joseph, [2]
 
“God has appointed me [3]
as lord [2]
of all Egypt. [1]
 
Come down to me. [2]
Do not delay. [1]
10 וְיָשַׁבְתָּ֣ בְאֶֽרֶץ־גֹּ֗שֶׁן [3] Revi'i
וְהָיִ֤יתָ קָרוֹב֙ [3] Pashta
אֵלַ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
אַתָּ֕ה [2] ZaqefG
וּבָנֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
וּבְנֵ֣י בָנֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
וְצֹאנְךָ֥ וּבְקָרְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁר־לָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 2 2 10 And you shall dwell in the land of Goshen, [3]
and you will be near [3]
to me, [2]
 
you, [2]
and your children [2]
and the children of your children; [1]
 
and your sheep and your cattle [2]
and all that you have. [1]
11 וְכִלְכַּלְתִּ֤י אֹֽתְךָ֙ [3] Pashta
שָׁ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
כִּי־ע֛וֹד [3] Tevir
חָמֵ֥שׁ שָׁנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
רָעָ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
פֶּן־תִּוָּרֵ֛שׁ [3] Tevir
אַתָּ֥ה וּבֵֽיתְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁר־לָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 3 11 And I will provide for you [3]
there, [2]
 
for still [3]
will be five years [2]
of famine; [1]
 
lest you come to poverty, [3]
you and your household, [2]
and all that you have.” ’ [1]
12 וְהִנֵּ֤ה עֵֽינֵיכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
רֹא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
וְעֵינֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אָחִ֣י בִנְיָמִ֑ין [1] Etnachta
 
כִּי־פִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
הַֽמְדַבֵּ֥ר אֲלֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 12 And behold, your eyes [3]
see, [2]
 
and the eyes [2]
of my brother Benjamin; [1]
 
that my mouth [2]
it is which speaks to you. [1]
13 וְהִגַּדְתֶּ֣ם לְאָבִ֗י [3] Revi'i
אֶת־כׇּל־כְּבוֹדִי֙ [3] Pashta
בְּמִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר רְאִיתֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וּמִֽהַרְתֶּ֛ם [3] Tevir
וְהוֹרַדְתֶּ֥ם אֶת־אָבִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
הֵֽנָּה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 2 3 13 And you shall tell my father [3]
of all my glory [3]
in Egypt, [2]
 
and [2]
of all that you have seen; [1]
 
and you shall hurry [3]
and you shall bring down my father [2]
here.” [1]
14 וַיִּפֹּ֛ל [3] Tevir
עַל־צַוְּארֵ֥י בִנְיָמִֽן־אָחִ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
וַיֵּ֑בְךְּ [1] Etnachta
 
וּבִ֨נְיָמִ֔ן [2] Zaqef
בָּכָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עַל־צַוָּארָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

on the neck of Benjamin his brother, [2]
and he wept; [1]
 
and Benjamin, [2]
he wept [2]
on his neck. [1]
15 וַיְנַשֵּׁ֥ק לְכׇל־אֶחָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
וַיֵּ֣בְךְּ עֲלֵהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְאַ֣חֲרֵי כֵ֔ן [2] Zaqef
דִּבְּר֥וּ אֶחָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
אִתּֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 15 And he kissed all his brothers [2]
and he wept over them; [1]
 
and after that [2]
his brothers talked [2]
with him. [1]
16 וְהַקֹּ֣ל נִשְׁמַ֗ע [3] Revi'i
בֵּ֤ית פַּרְעֹה֙ [3] Pashta
לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
בָּ֖אוּ [2] Tip'cha
אֲחֵ֣י יוֹסֵ֑ף [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּיטַב֙ [3] Pashta
בְּעֵינֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וּבְעֵינֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
עֲבָדָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

in Pharaoh’s house [3]
saying, [2]
 
“They have come, [2]
the brothers of Joseph.” [1]
 
And it was good [3]
in the eyes of Pharaoh, [2]
 
and in the eyes [2]
of his servants. [1]
17 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר פַּרְעֹה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־יוֹסֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef
 
אֱמֹ֥ר אֶל־אַחֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
זֹ֣את עֲשׂ֑וּ [1] Etnachta
 
טַֽעֲנוּ֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־בְּעִ֣ירְכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וּלְכוּ־בֹ֖אוּ [2] Tip'cha
אַ֥רְצָה כְּנָֽעַן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 17 And Pharaoh said [3]
to Joseph, [2]
 
“Tell your brothers, [2]
‘Do this: [1]
 
Load [3]
your animals, [2]
 
and go, travel [2]
to the land of Canaan. [1]
18 וּקְח֧וּ אֶת־אֲבִיכֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
וְאֶת־בָּתֵּיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
וּבֹ֣אוּ אֵלָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
וְאֶתְּנָ֣ה לָכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
אֶת־טוּב֙ [3] Pashta
אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
וְאִכְל֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־חֵ֥לֶב הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq

and your households, [2]
and come to me; [1]
 
and I will give to you [3]
the good things [3]
of the land of Egypt, [2]
 
and (you will) eat [2]
the fat of the land.’ [1]
19 וְאַתָּ֥ה צֻוֵּ֖יתָה [2] Tip'cha
זֹ֣את עֲשׂ֑וּ [1] Etnachta
 
קְחוּ־לָכֶם֩ מֵאֶ֨רֶץ מִצְרַ֜יִם [4] Geresh
עֲגָל֗וֹת [3] Revi'i
 
לְטַפְּכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
וְלִנְשֵׁיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וּנְשָׂאתֶ֥ם אֶת־אֲבִיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
וּבָאתֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 4 3 2 19 And you, you are commanded [2]
to do this: [1]
 
Take for yourselves from the land of Egypt [4]
carts [3]
 
for your little ones [3]
and for your wives, [2]
 
and bring your father [2]
and come. [1]
20 וְעֵ֣ינְכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
אַל־תָּחֹ֖ס [2] Tip'cha
עַל־כְּלֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כִּי־ט֛וּב [3] Tevir
כׇּל־אֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
לָכֶ֥ם הֽוּא׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 3 20 Also your eye, [2]
don’t let it look with regret [2]
on your belongings; [1]
 
for the good things [3]
of all the land of Egypt, [2]
it will belong to you.” [1]
21 וַיַּֽעֲשׂוּ־כֵן֙ [3] Pashta
בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּתֵּ֨ן לָהֶ֥ם יוֹסֵ֛ף [3] Tevir
עֲגָל֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
עַל־פִּ֣י פַרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּתֵּ֥ן לָהֶ֛ם [3] Tevir
צֵדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לַדָּֽרֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq

the sons of Israel, [2]
 
and Joseph gave them [3]
carts, [2]
according to the commandment of Pharaoh; [1]
 
and he gave them [3]
provision [2]
for the journey. [1]
22 לְכֻלָּ֥ם נָתַ֛ן [3] Tevir
לָאִ֖ישׁ [2] Tip'cha
חֲלִפ֣וֹת שְׂמָלֹ֑ת [1] Etnachta
 
וּלְבִנְיָמִ֤ן נָתַן֙ [3] Pashta
שְׁלֹ֣שׁ מֵא֣וֹת כֶּ֔סֶף [2] Zaqef
 
וְחָמֵ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
חֲלִפֹ֥ת שְׂמָלֹֽת׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 22 To all of them, he gave [3]
to each man, [2]
changes of clothing; [1]
 
and to Benjamin he gave [3]
three hundred pieces of silver, [2]
 
and five [2]
changes of clothing. [1]
23 וּלְאָבִ֞יו [4] Gershayim
שָׁלַ֤ח כְּזֹאת֙ [3] Pashta
עֲשָׂרָ֣ה חֲמֹרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
נֹשְׂאִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
מִטּ֣וּב מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וְעֶ֣שֶׂר אֲתֹנֹ֡ת [4] Pazer
נֹֽ֠שְׂאֹ֠ת [4 4] TelishaG
בָּ֣ר וָלֶ֧חֶם וּמָז֛וֹן [3] Tevir
לְאָבִ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
 
לַדָּֽרֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 2 2 3 4 4 23 And to his father [4]
he sent in like manner, [3]
ten donkeys [2]
 
carrying [2]
some of the good things of Egypt; [1]
 
and ten female donkeys [4]
carrying [4 4]
grain and bread and provision, [3]
for his father, [2]
 
for the journey. [1]
24 וַיְשַׁלַּ֥ח אֶת־אֶחָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
וַיֵּלֵ֑כוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
אַֽל־תִּרְגְּז֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
בַּדָּֽרֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 24 And he sent off his brothers [2]
and they departed; [1]
 
and he said to them, [2]
“See that you don’t quarrel [2]
on the way.” [1]
25 וַֽיַּעֲל֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶ֣רֶץ כְּנַ֔עַן [2] Zaqef
 
אֶֽל־יַעֲקֹ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
אֲבִיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 25 And they went up [2]
from Egypt; [1]
 
and they came into [3 3]
the land of Canaan, [2]
 
to Jacob [2]
their father. [1]
26 וַיַּגִּ֨דוּ ל֜וֹ [4] Geresh
לֵאמֹ֗ר [3] Revi'i
 
ע֚וֹד [3] Yetiv
יוֹסֵ֣ף חַ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְכִֽי־ה֥וּא מֹשֵׁ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
בְּכׇל־אֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּ֣פׇג לִבּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
כִּ֥י לֹא־הֶאֱמִ֖ין [2] Tip'cha
לָהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 2 2 26 And they told him [4]
saying, [3]
 
“Still [3]
alive is Joseph, [2]
 
and he is ruling [2]
over all the land of Egypt.” [1]
 
And his heart fainted, [2]
for he didn’t believe [2]
them. [1]
27 וַיְדַבְּר֣וּ אֵלָ֗יו [3] Revi'i
אֵ֣ת כׇּל־דִּבְרֵ֤י יוֹסֵף֙ [3] Pashta
אֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּ֣ר אֲלֵהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וַיַּרְא֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־הָ֣עֲגָל֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁר־שָׁלַ֥ח יוֹסֵ֖ף [2] Tip'cha
לָשֵׂ֣את אֹת֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וַתְּחִ֕י [2] ZaqefG
ר֖וּחַ [2] Tip'cha
יַעֲקֹ֥ב אֲבִיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

all the words of Joseph [3]
which he had spoken to them, [2]
 
and when he saw [3]
the carts [2]
 
which Joseph had sent [2]
to carry him; [1]
 
it revived, [2]
the spirit [2]
of Jacob their father. [1]
28 וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
רַ֛ב [3] Tevir
עוֹד־יוֹסֵ֥ף בְּנִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
חָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
אֵֽלְכָ֥ה וְאֶרְאֶ֖נּוּ [2] Tip'cha
בְּטֶ֥רֶם אָמֽוּת׃ [1] Silluq

Israel, [2]
 
“It is enough. [3]
My son Joseph is still [2]
alive. [1]
 
I will go so that I may see him [2]
before I die.” [1]
