| 1 וַיָּבֹ֣א יוֹסֵף֮ [3] Zarqa וַיַּגֵּ֣ד לְפַרְעֹה֒ [2] Segol וְצֹאנָ֤ם וּבְקָרָם֙ [3] Pashta וְכׇל־אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef מֵאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן [1] Etnachta בְּאֶ֥רֶץ גֹּֽשֶׁן׃ [1] Silluq |
1 Then Joseph went [3] and he told Pharaoh, [2] and their flocks and their herds, [3] and all that belongs to them, [2] from the land of Canaan; [1] are in the land of Goshen.” [1] |

| 2 וּמִקְצֵ֣ה אֶחָ֔יו [2] Zaqef לָקַ֖ח [2] Tip'cha חֲמִשָּׁ֣ה אֲנָשִׁ֑ים [1] Etnachta לִפְנֵ֥י פַרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
2 And from among his brothers [2] he took [2] five men; [1] before Pharaoh. [1] |

| 3 וַיֹּ֧אמֶר פַּרְעֹ֛ה [3] Tevir אֶל־אֶחָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha מַה־מַּעֲשֵׂיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta רֹעֵ֥ה צֹאן֙ [3] Pashta עֲבָדֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef גַּם־אֲבוֹתֵֽינוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
3 And Pharaoh said [3] to his brothers, [2] “What is your occupation?” [1] “Herders of sheep [3] are your servants, [2] and our fathers.” [1] |

| 4 וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֗ה [3] Revi'i לָג֣וּר בָּאָ֘רֶץ֮ [3 3] Zarqa בָּ֒אנוּ֒ [2 2] Segol לַצֹּאן֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁ֣ר לַעֲבָדֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef בְּאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן [1] Etnachta יֵֽשְׁבוּ־נָ֥א עֲבָדֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha בְּאֶ֥רֶץ גֹּֽשֶׁן׃ [1] Silluq |
4 And they said to Pharaoh, [3] “To sojourn in the land [3 3] we have come, [2 2] for the sheep [3] which belong to your servants, [2] in the land of Canaan; [1] please let your servants dwell [2] in the land of Goshen.” [1] |

5 And Pharaoh spoke [2] to Joseph [2] saying; [1] they have come to you. [1] |

| 6 אֶ֤רֶץ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta לְפָנֶ֣יךָ הִ֔וא [2] Zaqef הוֹשֵׁ֥ב אֶת־אָבִ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha וְאֶת־אַחֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta בְּאֶ֣רֶץ גֹּ֔שֶׁן [2] Zaqef וְיֶשׁ־בָּם֙ [3] Pashta אַנְשֵׁי־חַ֔יִל [2] Zaqef שָׂרֵ֥י מִקְנֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha עַל־אֲשֶׁר־לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
6 The land of Egypt, [3 3] it is before you. [2] let your father dwell [2] and your brothers. [1] in the land of Goshen, [2] any among them, [3] able men, [2] in charge of livestock, [2] over that which belongs to me.” [1] |

7 And Joseph brought [3] Jacob his father, [2] before Pharaoh; [1] Pharaoh. [1] |

| 8 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר פַּרְעֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֶֽל־יַעֲקֹ֑ב [1] Etnachta יְמֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha שְׁנֵ֥י חַיֶּֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq |
8 And Pharaoh said [2] to Jacob; [1] are the days [2] of the years of your life?” [1] |

| 9 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יַעֲקֹב֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef שְׁנֵ֣י מְגוּרַ֔י [2] Zaqef שָׁנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta הָיוּ֙ [3] Pashta יְמֵי֙ [3] Pashta שְׁנֵ֣י חַיַּ֔י [2] Zaqef אֶת־יְמֵי֙ [3] Pashta שְׁנֵי֙ [3] Pashta חַיֵּ֣י אֲבֹתַ֔י [2] Zaqef מְגוּרֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
9 And Jacob said [3] to Pharaoh, [2] of the years of my sojournings [2] years. [1] they have been, [3] the days [3] of the years of my life; [2] the days [3] of the years [3] of the lives of my fathers, [2] of their sojournings.” [1] |

| 10 וַיְבָ֥רֶךְ יַעֲקֹ֖ב [2] Tip'cha אֶת־פַּרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta מִלִּפְנֵ֥י פַרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
10 And Jacob blessed [2] Pharaoh; [1] from the presence of Pharaoh. [1] |

| 11 וַיּוֹשֵׁ֣ב יוֹסֵף֮ [3] Zarqa אֶת־אָבִ֣יו וְאֶת־אֶחָיו֒ [2] Segol בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef בְּאֶ֣רֶץ רַעְמְסֵ֑ס [1] Etnachta צִוָּ֥ה פַרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
11 And Joseph settled [3] his father and his brothers, [2] in the land of Egypt, [2] in the land of Rameses; [1] Pharaoh had commanded. [1] |

| 12 וַיְכַלְכֵּ֤ל יוֹסֵף֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־אָבִ֣יו וְאֶת־אֶחָ֔יו [2] Zaqef כׇּל־בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֑יו [1] Etnachta לְפִ֥י הַטָּֽף׃ [1] Silluq |
12 And Joseph provided for [3] his father and his brothers [2] all the household of his father; [1] according to the sizes of their families. [1] |

| 13 וְלֶ֤חֶם אֵין֙ [3] Pashta בְּכׇל־הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef מְאֹ֑ד [1] Etnachta אֶ֤רֶץ מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta וְאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנַ֔עַן [2] Zaqef הָרָעָֽב׃ [1] Silluq |
13 And there was no bread [3] in all the land, [2] very; [1] the land of Egypt, [3 3] and the land of Canaan, [2] the famine. [1] |

| 14 וַיְלַקֵּ֣ט יוֹסֵ֗ף [3] Revi'i אֶת־כׇּל־הַכֶּ֙סֶף֙ [3 3] Pashta הַנִּמְצָ֤א בְאֶֽרֶץ־מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta וּבְאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנַ֔עַן [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁר־הֵ֣ם שֹׁבְרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta אֶת־הַכֶּ֖סֶף [2] Tip'cha בֵּ֥יתָה פַרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
14 And Joseph gathered up [3] all the money [3 3] that was found in the land of Egypt [3 3] and in the land of Canaan, [2] which they were buying; [1] the money [2] into the house of Pharaoh. [1] |

| 15 וַיִּתֹּ֣ם הַכֶּ֗סֶף [3] Revi'i מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֘יִם֮ [3 3] Zarqa וּמֵאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנַ֒עַן֒ [2 2] Segol הָֽבָה־לָּ֣נוּ לֶ֔חֶם [2] Zaqef נֶגְדֶּ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta כָּֽסֶף׃ [1] Silluq |
15 And when the money was all spent [3] from the land of Egypt [3 3] and from the land of Canaan, [2 2] “Give us bread, [2] in your presence? [1] the money.” [1] |

| 16 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יוֹסֵף֙ [3] Pashta הָב֣וּ מִקְנֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef בְּמִקְנֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta כָּֽסֶף׃ [1] Silluq |
16 And Joseph said, [3] “Give your livestock, [2] for your livestock; [1] the money.” [1] |

| 17 וַיָּבִ֣יאוּ אֶת־מִקְנֵיהֶם֮ [3] Zarqa אֶל־יוֹסֵף֒ [2] Segol בַּסּוּסִ֗ים [3] Revi'i וּבְמִקְנֵ֥ה הַבָּקָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha בְּכׇל־מִקְנֵהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef הַהִֽוא׃ [1] Silluq |
17 And they brought their livestock [3] to Joseph, [2] (in exchange) for the horses, [3] and for the herds, [2] (in exchange) for all their livestock [2] that. [1] |

| 18 וַתִּתֹּם֮ [3] Zarqa הַשָּׁנָ֣ה הַהִוא֒ [2] Segol בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה הַשֵּׁנִ֗ית [3] Revi'i לֹֽא־נְכַחֵ֣ד מֵֽאֲדֹנִ֔י [2] Zaqef אִם־תַּ֣ם הַכֶּ֔סֶף [2] Zaqef אֶל־אֲדֹנִ֑י [1] Etnachta לִפְנֵ֣י אֲדֹנִ֔י [2] Zaqef וְאַדְמָתֵֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
18 And when it was finished, [3] that year, [2] the second year, [3] “We will not hide from my lord [2] the money, [2] are my lord’s. [1] before my lord, [2] and our lands. [1] |

| 19 לָ֧מָּה נָמ֣וּת לְעֵינֶ֗יךָ [3] Revi'i גַּם־אֲנַ֙חְנוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta גַּ֣ם אַדְמָתֵ֔נוּ [2] Zaqef בַּלָּ֑חֶם [1] Etnachta אֲנַ֤חְנוּ וְאַדְמָתֵ֙נוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta עֲבָדִ֣ים לְפַרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְנִֽחְיֶה֙ [3] Pashta וְלֹ֣א נָמ֔וּת [2] Zaqef לֹ֥א תֵשָֽׁם׃ [1] Silluq |
19 Why should we die before your eyes, [3] both we [3 3] and our land? [2] for bread; [1] we and our land, [3 3] slaves to Pharaoh, [2] that we may live [3] and not die, [2] it won’t be desolate.” [1] |

| 20 וַיִּ֨קֶן יוֹסֵ֜ף [4] Geresh אֶת־כׇּל־אַדְמַ֤ת מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta לְפַרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef אִ֣ישׁ שָׂדֵ֔הוּ [2] Zaqef הָרָעָ֑ב [1] Etnachta לְפַרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
20 So Joseph bought [4] all the land of Egypt [3 3] for Pharaoh, [2] every one his field, [2] the famine; [1] to Pharaoh. [1] |

| 21 וְאֶ֨ת־הָעָ֔ם [2] Zaqef הֶעֱבִ֥יר אֹת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha לֶעָרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta וְעַד־קָצֵֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
21 And the people, [2] he moved them [2] to the cities; [1] even to the other end of it. [1] |

| 22 רַ֛ק [3] Tevir אַדְמַ֥ת הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha לֹ֣א קָנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta מֵאֵ֣ת פַּרְעֹ֗ה [3] Revi'i אֲשֶׁ֨ר נָתַ֤ן לָהֶם֙ [3] Pashta פַּרְעֹ֔ה [2] Zaqef לֹ֥א מָכְר֖וּ [2] Tip'cha אֶת־אַדְמָתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
22 Only [3] the land of the priests [2] he didn’t buy; [1] from Pharaoh, [3] which he gave to them, [3] Pharaoh, [2] they didn’t sell [2] their land. [1] |

| 23 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יוֹסֵף֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־הָעָ֔ם [2] Zaqef וְאֶת־אַדְמַתְכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha לְפַרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta וּזְרַעְתֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha אֶת־הָאֲדָמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
23 Then Joseph said [3] to the people, [2] and your land, [2] for Pharaoh. [1] and you shall sow [2] the land. [1] |

| 24 וְהָיָה֙ [3] Pashta בַּתְּבוּאֹ֔ת [2] Zaqef לְפַרְעֹ֑ה [1] Etnachta יִהְיֶ֣ה לָכֶם֩ לְזֶ֨רַע הַשָּׂדֶ֧ה וּֽלְאׇכְלְכֶ֛ם [3] Tevir וְלַאֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּבָתֵּיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha וְלֶאֱכֹ֥ל לְטַפְּכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
24 And it will be [3] at the harvests, [2] to Pharaoh; [1] will be yours to seed the field, and for your food, [3] and for those who are in your households, [2] and for food for your little ones.” [1] |

| 25 וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ [2] Tip'cha הֶחֱיִתָ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta בְּעֵינֵ֣י אֲדֹנִ֔י [2] Zaqef לְפַרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
25 And they said, [2] “You have saved our lives! [1] in the sight of my lord, [2] to Pharaoh.” [1] |

| 26 וַיָּ֣שֶׂם אֹתָ֣הּ יוֹסֵ֡ף [4] Pazer לְחֹק֩ עַד־הַיּ֨וֹם הַזֶּ֜ה [4] Geresh עַל־אַדְמַ֥ת מִצְרַ֛יִם [3] Tevir לְפַרְעֹ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אַדְמַ֤ת הַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ [3] Pashta לְבַדָּ֔ם [2] Zaqef לְפַרְעֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
26 And Joseph established it [4] as a statute to this day [4] concerning the land of Egypt, [3] that Pharaoh should have [2] the land of the priests, [3] theirs alone [2] to Pharaoh. [1] |

| 27 וַיֵּ֧שֶׁב יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל [3] Tevir בְּאֶ֥רֶץ מִצְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha בְּאֶ֣רֶץ גֹּ֑שֶׁן [1] Etnachta וַיִּפְר֥וּ וַיִּרְבּ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha מְאֹֽד׃ [1] Silluq |
27 And Israel lived [3] in the land of Egypt, [2] in the land of Goshen; [1] and they were fruitful and they multiplied [2] exceedingly. [1] |

| 28 וַיְחִ֤י יַעֲקֹב֙ [3] Pashta בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef שָׁנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta שְׁנֵ֣י חַיָּ֔יו [2] Zaqef וְאַרְבָּעִ֥ים וּמְאַ֖ת [2] Tip'cha שָׁנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
28 And Jacob lived [3] in the land of Egypt [2] years; [1] the years of his life, [2] and forty and one hundred [2] years. [1] |

| 29 וַיִּקְרְב֣וּ יְמֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵל֮ [3] Zarqa לָמוּת֒ [2] Segol לִבְנ֣וֹ לְיוֹסֵ֗ף [3] Revi'i אִם־נָ֨א מָצָ֤אתִי חֵן֙ [3] Pashta בְּעֵינֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef תַּ֣חַת יְרֵכִ֑י [1] Etnachta חֶ֣סֶד וֶאֱמֶ֔ת [2] Zaqef בְּמִצְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq |
29 And the days drew near for Israel [3] to die, [2] his son Joseph, [3] “Please if I have found favor [3] in your sight, [2] under my thigh; [1] kindly and truly, [2] in Egypt, [1] |

| 30 וְשָֽׁכַבְתִּי֙ [3] Pashta עִם־אֲבֹתַ֔י [2] Zaqef מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef בִּקְבֻרָתָ֑ם [1] Etnachta אָנֹכִ֖י [2] Tip'cha אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֥ה כִדְבָרֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq |
30 but when I sleep [3] with my fathers, [2] from Egypt, [2] in their grave.” [1] “I, [2] I will do as you have said.” [1] |

31 And he said, [3] “Swear [3] to me,” [2] to him; [1] on the head of the bed. [1] ¶ |
