1 וַיְהִ֗י [3] Revi'i אַחֲרֵי֙ [3] Pashta הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה [2] Zaqef הִנֵּ֥ה אָבִ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha חֹלֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta אֶת־שְׁנֵ֤י בָנָיו֙ [3] Pashta עִמּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef וְאֶת־אֶפְרָֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq |
1 And [3] after [3] these things, [2] “Behold, your father [2] is sick.” [1] his two sons [3] with him, [2] and Ephraim. [1] |

2 וַיַּגֵּ֣ד לְיַעֲקֹ֔ב [2] Zaqef וַיֹּ֕אמֶר [2] ZaqefG בִּנְךָ֥ יוֹסֵ֖ף [2] Tip'cha בָּ֣א אֵלֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef עַל־הַמִּטָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
2 And someone told Jacob, [2] and he said, [2] your son Joseph, [2] he has come to you,” [1] Israel, [2] on the bed. [1] |

3 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יַעֲקֹב֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־יוֹסֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef נִרְאָֽה־אֵלַ֥י בְּל֖וּז [2] Tip'cha בְּאֶ֣רֶץ כְּנָ֑עַן [1] Etnachta אֹתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
3 And Jacob said [3] to Joseph, [2] he appeared to me at Luz [2] in the land of Canaan; [1] me, [1] |

4 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלַ֗י [3] Revi'i הִנְנִ֤י מַפְרְךָ֙ [3] Pashta וְהִרְבִּיתִ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef לִקְהַ֣ל עַמִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta אֶת־הָאָ֧רֶץ הַזֹּ֛את [3] Tevir לְזַרְעֲךָ֥ אַחֲרֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha אֲחֻזַּ֥ת עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
4 and he said to me, [3] ‘Behold I will make you fruitful, [3] and I will multiply you, [2] a company of peoples; [1] this land [3] to your offspring after you, [2] for an everlasting possession.’ [1] |

5 וְעַתָּ֡ה [4] Pazer שְׁנֵֽי־בָנֶ֩יךָ֩ הַנּוֹלָדִ֨ים לְךָ֜ [4] Geresh בְּאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרַ֗יִם [3] Revi'i מִצְרַ֖יְמָה [2] Tip'cha וּמְנַשֶּׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef יִֽהְיוּ־לִֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
5 And now [4] your two sons who were born to you [4] in the land of Egypt [3] to Egypt, [2] and Manasseh, [2] they will belong to me. [1] |

6 וּמוֹלַדְתְּךָ֛ [3] Tevir אֲשֶׁר־הוֹלַ֥דְתָּ אַחֲרֵיהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha לְךָ֣ יִהְי֑וּ [1] Etnachta יִקָּרְא֖וּ [2] Tip'cha בְּנַחֲלָתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
6 And your offspring [3] who have been born to you after them, [2] to you they will belong. [1] they shall be called [2] in their inheritance. [1] |

7 וַאֲנִ֣י ׀ [4] Legarmeh בְּבֹאִ֣י מִפַּדָּ֗ן [3] Revi'i בְּאֶ֤רֶץ כְּנַ֙עַן֙ [3 3] Pashta בַּדֶּ֔רֶךְ [2] Zaqef לָבֹ֣א אֶפְרָ֑תָה [1] Etnachta בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ אֶפְרָ֔ת [2] Zaqef בֵּ֥ית לָֽחֶם׃ [1] Silluq |
7 And I, [4] when I came from Paddan, [3] in the land of Canaan [3 3] on the journey, [2] to come to Ephrath, [1] on the way to Ephrath; [2] Bethlehem.” [1] |

8 וַיַּ֥רְא יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha אֶת־בְּנֵ֣י יוֹסֵ֑ף [1] Etnachta מִי־אֵֽלֶּה׃ [1] Silluq |
8 And Israel saw [2] the sons of Joseph; [1] “Who are these?” [1] |

9 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יוֹסֵף֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־אָבִ֔יו [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁר־נָֽתַן־לִ֥י אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha בָּזֶ֑ה [1] Etnachta קָֽחֶם־נָ֥א אֵלַ֖י [2] Tip'cha וַאֲבָרְכֵֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
9 And Joseph said [3] to his father, [2] whom God has given to me [2] here.” [1] “Please bring them to me [2] so that I may bless them.” [1] |

10 וְעֵינֵ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Pashta כָּבְד֣וּ מִזֹּ֔קֶן [2] Zaqef לִרְא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta אֵלָ֔יו [2] Zaqef וַיְחַבֵּ֥ק לָהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
10 Now the eyes of Israel, [3] they were dim from old age. [2] to see well; [1] to him, [2] and he embraced them. [1] |

11 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־יוֹסֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef לֹ֣א פִלָּ֑לְתִּי [1] Etnachta אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha גַּ֥ם אֶת־זַרְעֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq |
11 And Israel said [3] to Joseph, [2] I thought it wouldn't happen; [1] God, [2] also your offspring.” [1] |

12 וַיּוֹצֵ֥א יוֹסֵ֛ף [3] Tevir אֹתָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha מֵעִ֣ם בִּרְכָּ֑יו [1] Etnachta אָֽרְצָה׃ [1] Silluq |
12 And Joseph took [3] them [2] from between his knees; [1] to the ground. [1] |

13 וַיִּקַּ֣ח יוֹסֵף֮ [3] Zarqa אֶת־שְׁנֵיהֶם֒ [2] Segol מִשְּׂמֹ֣אל יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef מִימִ֣ין יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta אֵלָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq |
13 And Joseph took [3] the two of them, [2] to the left of Israel, [2] to the right of Israel; [1] to him. [1] |

14 וַיִּשְׁלַח֩ יִשְׂרָאֵ֨ל אֶת־יְמִינ֜וֹ [4] Geresh וַיָּ֨שֶׁת עַל־רֹ֤אשׁ אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta וְה֣וּא הַצָּעִ֔יר [2] Zaqef עַל־רֹ֣אשׁ מְנַשֶּׁ֑ה [1] Etnachta אֶת־יָדָ֔יו [2] Zaqef הַבְּכֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq |
14 And Israel stretched out his right hand [4] and he laid it on the head of Ephraim, [3 3] who was the younger, [2] on the head of Manasseh; [1] his hands, [2] was the firstborn. [1] |

15 וַיְבָ֥רֶךְ אֶת־יוֹסֵ֖ף [2] Tip'cha וַיֹּאמַ֑ר [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁר֩ הִתְהַלְּכ֨וּ אֲבֹתַ֤י לְפָנָיו֙ [3] Pashta אַבְרָהָ֣ם וְיִצְחָ֔ק [2] Zaqef הָרֹעֶ֣ה אֹתִ֔י [2] Zaqef עַד־הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
15 And he blessed Joseph [2] and he said; [1] before whom they walked, my fathers [3] Abraham and Isaac, [2] who has shepherded me [2] to this day, [1] |

16 הַמַּלְאָךְ֩ הַגֹּאֵ֨ל אֹתִ֜י [4] Geresh מִכׇּל־רָ֗ע [3] Revi'i אֶת־הַנְּעָרִים֒ [2] Segol שְׁמִ֔י [2] Zaqef אַבְרָהָ֣ם וְיִצְחָ֑ק [1] Etnachta בְּקֶ֥רֶב הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq |
16 the angel who has redeemed me [4] from all harm, [3] the lads, [2] my name, [2] Abraham and Isaac; [1] upon the earth.” [1] |

17 וַיַּ֣רְא יוֹסֵ֗ף [3] Revi'i כִּי־יָשִׁ֨ית אָבִ֧יו יַד־יְמִינ֛וֹ [3] Tevir עַל־רֹ֥אשׁ אֶפְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha וַיֵּ֣רַע בְּעֵינָ֑יו [1] Etnachta לְהָסִ֥יר אֹתָ֛הּ [3] Tevir מֵעַ֥ל רֹאשׁ־אֶפְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha עַל־רֹ֥אשׁ מְנַשֶּֽׁה׃ [1] Silluq |
17 And when Joseph saw [3] that his father laid his right hand [3] on the head of Ephraim, [2] it was displeasing in his eyes; [1] to remove it [3] from the head of Ephraim, [2] to the head of Manasseh. [1] |

18 וַיֹּ֧אמֶר יוֹסֵ֛ף [3] Tevir אֶל־אָבִ֖יו [2] Tip'cha לֹא־כֵ֣ן אָבִ֑י [1] Etnachta שִׂ֥ים יְמִינְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha עַל־רֹאשֽׁוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
18 And Joseph said [3] to his father, [2] “Not so, my father. [1] put your right hand [2] on his head.” [1] |

19 וַיְמָאֵ֣ן אָבִ֗יו [3] Revi'i וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ [3 3] Pashta יָדַ֤עְתִּֽי בְנִי֙ [3] Pashta יָדַ֔עְתִּי [2] Zaqef וְגַם־ה֣וּא יִגְדָּ֑ל [1] Etnachta אָחִ֤יו הַקָּטֹן֙ [3] Pashta יִגְדַּ֣ל מִמֶּ֔נּוּ [2] Zaqef יִהְיֶ֥ה מְלֹֽא־הַגּוֹיִֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
19 But his father refused, [3] and he said, [3 3] “I know, my son, [3] I know. [2] and he also, he will become great; [1] his younger brother, [3] he will become greater than he, [2] will be the fullness of the nations.” [1] |

20 וַיְבָ֨רְכֵ֜ם [4] Geresh בַּיּ֣וֹם הַהוּא֮ [3] Zarqa לֵאמוֹר֒ [2] Segol יְבָרֵ֤ךְ יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Pashta לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef כְּאֶפְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha וְכִמְנַשֶּׁ֑ה [1] Etnachta לִפְנֵ֥י מְנַשֶּֽׁה׃ [1] Silluq |
20 And he blessed them [4] on that day, [3] saying, [2] shall Israel bless [3] saying, [2] like Ephraim [2] and like Manasseh.’ ” [1] before Manasseh. [1] |

21 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־יוֹסֵ֔ף [2] Zaqef מֵ֑ת [1] Etnachta עִמָּכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef אֶל־אֶ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha אֲבֹתֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
21 And Israel said [3] to Joseph, [2] about to die; [1] with you, [2] to the land [2] of your fathers. [1] |

22 וַאֲנִ֞י [4] Gershayim נָתַ֧תִּֽי לְךָ֛ [3] Tevir שְׁכֶ֥ם אַחַ֖ד [2] Tip'cha עַל־אַחֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta מִיַּ֣ד הָֽאֱמֹרִ֔י [2] Zaqef וּבְקַשְׁתִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq פ |
22 And I, [4] I give to you [3] one portion [2] above your brothers; [1] from the hand of the Amorites, [2] and by my bow.” [1] ¶ |
