1 At my post I will stand, [2] and I will set myself [2] on the fortification; [1] to see [3] what will he speak by me, [2] about my complaint. [1] |
|||
2 And the LORD answered me [3] and he said, [2] and make it clear [2] on the tablets; [1] the one who reads it. [1] |
|||
3 For the vision is yet [3] for the appointed time, [2] and it won’t prove false. [1] wait for it, [2] it won’t delay. [1] |
|||
4 Behold it is puffed up, [2] his soul is not upright [2] within him; [1] by his faithfulness he will live. [1] § |
|||
5 And moreover, [3] for wine is treacherous, [2] who doesn’t stay at home; [1] his throat, [3] and can’t be satisfied, [2] all the nations, [2] all the peoples, [1] |

6 Won’t all these [3] against him [3] a parable take up, [2] of riddles against him; [1] ‘Woe to [3] the one who increases what doesn't belong to him, [2] and who loads himself [2] with pledges!’ [1] |
|||
7 Won’t suddenly [3] they rise up, [3 3] those who pay interest to you, [2] those who make you tremble; [1] for them? [1] |
|||
8 Since you, you have plundered [3 3] many nations, [2] all the remnant of the peoples; [1] and the violence to the land, [2] and to all who dwell in it. [1] ¶ |
|||
| 9 ה֗וֹי [3] Revi'i  בֹּצֵ֛עַ [3] Tevir בֶּ֥צַע רָ֖ע [2] Tip'cha לְבֵית֑וֹ [1] Etnachta קִנּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef מִכַּף־רָֽע׃ [1] Silluq  |

16 You are filled with shame [3] instead of glory. [2] and show your uncircumcision! [1] the cup [3] of the right hand of the LORD, [2] will cover your glory. [1] |
|||
17 For the violence to Lebanon, [3] it will cover you, [2] which terrified them; [1] and the violence to the land, [2] and all who dwell in it. [1] |
