2 “Thus he says, [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] saying, [1] they have said, [2] the time for the house of the LORD [2] to be rebuilt.’ ” [1] ¶ |

4 “Is it your time [3] for you, [2] in your paneled houses; [1] is desolate? [1] |

5 וְעַתָּ֕ה [2] ZaqefG כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta עַל־דַּרְכֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
5 Now therefore, [2] thus he says, [2] the LORD of Hosts; [1] your ways. [1] |

6 זְרַעְתֶּ֨ם הַרְבֵּ֜ה [4] Geresh וְהָבֵ֣א מְעָ֗ט [3] Revi'i שָׁת֣וֹ וְאֵין־לְשׇׁכְרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְאֵין־לְחֹ֣ם ל֑וֹ [1] Etnachta מִשְׂתַּכֵּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha אֶל־צְר֥וֹר נָקֽוּב׃ [1] Silluq פ |
6 You sowed much [4] but you bring in little, [3] you drink but not enough to be filled, [2] but no one is warm; [1] earns wages [2] into a bag with holes in it.” [1] ¶ |

8 עֲל֥וּ הָהָ֛ר [3] Tevir וַהֲבֵאתֶ֥ם עֵ֖ץ [2] Tip'cha וּבְנ֣וּ הַבָּ֑יִת [1] Etnachta אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
8 Go up to the hill country [3] and bring wood, [2] and rebuild the house; [1] says the LORD. [1] |

9 פָּנֹ֤ה אֶל־הַרְבֵּה֙ [3] Pashta וְהִנֵּ֣ה לִמְעָ֔ט [2] Zaqef וְנָפַ֣חְתִּי ב֑וֹ [1] Etnachta נְאֻם֙ [3] Pashta יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef בֵּיתִי֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁר־ה֣וּא חָרֵ֔ב [2] Zaqef אִ֥ישׁ לְבֵיתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
9 “You looked for much [3] and behold, it came to little, [2] I blew it away; [1] says [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] my house [3] which is desolate, [2] each to his own house. [1] |

10 עַל־כֵּ֣ן עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef כָּלְא֥וּ שָׁמַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha מִטָּ֑ל [1] Etnachta כָּלְאָ֥ה יְבוּלָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq |
10 Therefore because of you, [2] the heavens have withheld [2] the dew; [1] it has withheld its yield. [1] |

11 וָאֶקְרָ֨א חֹ֜רֶב [4] Geresh עַל־הָאָ֣רֶץ וְעַל־הֶהָרִ֗ים [3] Revi'i וְעַל־הַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ וְעַל־הַיִּצְהָ֔ר [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֥ר תּוֹצִ֖יא [2] Tip'cha הָאֲדָמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta וְעַל־הַבְּהֵמָ֔ה [2] Zaqef כׇּל־יְגִ֥יעַ כַּפָּֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq פ |
11 For I have called for a drought [4] on the land and on the mountains, [3] and on the new wine and on the fresh oil, [2] that which is brought forth by [2] the ground; [1] and on the livestock, [2] all the labor of the hands.” [1] ¶ |

12 וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע זְרֻבָּבֶ֣ל ׀ בֶּֽן־שַׁלְתִּיאֵ֡ל [4] Pazer וִיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ בֶּן־יְהוֹצָדָק֩ הַכֹּהֵ֨ן הַגָּד֜וֹל [4] Geresh וְכֹ֣ל ׀ [4] Legarmeh שְׁאֵרִ֣ית הָעָ֗ם [3] Revi'i יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef חַגַּ֣י הַנָּבִ֔יא [2] Zaqef יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta מִפְּנֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
12 And he listened, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, [4] and Joshua son of Jehozadak the high priest, [4] and all [4] the remnant of the people, [3] of the LORD their God, [2] of Haggai the prophet, [2] the LORD their God; [1] the LORD. [1] |

14 And the LORD stirred up [4] the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel [4] governor of Judah, [3] of Joshua son of Jehozadak [3] the high priest, [2] of all [2] the remnant of the people; [1] and they worked [2] their God, [1] ¶ |
