	²כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֛ר [3] Tevir יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha לֵאמֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta הָעָ֤ם הַזֶּה֙ [3] Pashta אָֽמְר֔וּ [2] Zaqef לֹ֥א עֶת־בֹּ֛א [3] Tevir עֶת־בֵּ֥ית יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha לְהִבָּנֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq פ		²“Thus he says, [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] saying, [1] This people [3] they have said, [2] ‘The time hasn’t yet come, [3] the time for the house of the LORD [2] to be rebuilt.’ ” [1] ¶
	³וַֽיְהִי֙ [3] Pashta דְּבַר־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef בְּיַד־חַגַּ֥י הַנָּבִ֖יא [2] Tip'cha לֵאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq		³And it came, [3] the word of the LORD, [2] by the hand of Haggai the prophet [2] saying, [1]
	⁴הַעֵ֤ת לָכֶם֙ [3] Pashta אַתֶּ֔ם [2] Zaqef לָשֶׁ֖בֶת [2] Tip'cha בְּבָתֵּיכֶ֣ם סְפוּנִ֑ים [1] Etnachta וְהַבַּ֥יִת הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha חָרֵֽב׃ [1] Silluq		⁴“Is it your time [3] for you, [2] to dwell [2] in your paneled houses; [1] while this house [2] is desolate? [1]
	⁵וְעַתָּ֕ה [2] ZaqefG כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta שִׂ֥ימוּ לְבַבְכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha עַל־דַּרְכֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq		⁵Now therefore, [2] thus he says, [2] the LORD of Hosts; [1] set your heart on [2] your ways. [1]
	⁶זְרַעְתֶּ֨ם הַרְבֵּ֜ה [4] Geresh וְהָבֵ֣א מְעָ֗ט [3] Revi'i אָכ֤וֹל וְאֵין־לְשׇׂבְעָה֙ [3] Pashta שָׁת֣וֹ וְאֵין־לְשׇׁכְרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef לָב֖וֹשׁ [2] Tip'cha וְאֵין־לְחֹ֣ם ל֑וֹ [1] Etnachta וְהַ֨מִּשְׂתַּכֵּ֔ר [2] Zaqef מִשְׂתַּכֵּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha אֶל־צְר֥וֹר נָקֽוּב׃ [1] Silluq פ		⁶You sowed much [4] but you bring in little, [3] you eat but not enough to satisfy, [3] you drink but not enough to be filled, [2] you put on clothes [2] but no one is warm; [1] and the one who earns wages, [2] earns wages [2] into a bag with holes in it.” [1] ¶
	⁷כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta שִׂ֥ימוּ לְבַבְכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha עַל־דַּרְכֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq		⁷Thus he says, [2] the LORD of Hosts; [1] “Set your heart on [2] your ways. [1]
	⁸עֲל֥וּ הָהָ֛ר [3] Tevir וַהֲבֵאתֶ֥ם עֵ֖ץ [2] Tip'cha וּבְנ֣וּ הַבָּ֑יִת [1] Etnachta וְאֶרְצֶה־בּ֥וֹ ואכבד *וְאֶכָּבְדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אָמַ֥ר יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		⁸Go up to the hill country [3] and bring wood, [2] and rebuild the house; [1] so that I may take pleasure in it and I may be honored,” [2] says the LORD. [1]
	⁹פָּנֹ֤ה אֶל־הַרְבֵּה֙ [3] Pashta וְהִנֵּ֣ה לִמְעָ֔ט [2] Zaqef וַהֲבֵאתֶ֥ם הַבַּ֖יִת [2] Tip'cha וְנָפַ֣חְתִּי ב֑וֹ [1] Etnachta יַ֣עַן מֶ֗ה [3] Revi'i נְאֻם֙ [3] Pashta יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef יַ֗עַן [3] Revi'i בֵּיתִי֙ [3] Pashta אֲשֶׁר־ה֣וּא חָרֵ֔ב [2] Zaqef וְאַתֶּ֥ם רָצִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha אִ֥ישׁ לְבֵיתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq		⁹“You looked for much [3] and behold, it came to little, [2] and when you brought it home [2] I blew it away; [1] Why?” [3] says [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] “Because of [3] my house [3] which is desolate, [2] while you are running [2] each to his own house. [1]
	¹⁰עַל־כֵּ֣ן עֲלֵיכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef כָּלְא֥וּ שָׁמַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha מִטָּ֑ל [1] Etnachta וְהָאָ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha כָּלְאָ֥ה יְבוּלָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁰Therefore because of you, [2] the heavens have withheld [2] the dew; [1] and the earth, [2] it has withheld its yield. [1]
	¹¹וָאֶקְרָ֨א חֹ֜רֶב [4] Geresh עַל־הָאָ֣רֶץ וְעַל־הֶהָרִ֗ים [3] Revi'i וְעַל־הַדָּגָן֙ [3] Pashta וְעַל־הַתִּיר֣וֹשׁ וְעַל־הַיִּצְהָ֔ר [2] Zaqef וְעַ֛ל [3] Tevir אֲשֶׁ֥ר תּוֹצִ֖יא [2] Tip'cha הָאֲדָמָ֑ה [1] Etnachta וְעַל־הָֽאָדָם֙ [3] Pashta וְעַל־הַבְּהֵמָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְעַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־יְגִ֥יעַ כַּפָּֽיִם׃ [1] Silluq פ		¹¹For I have called for a drought [4] on the land and on the mountains, [3] and on the grain [3] and on the new wine and on the fresh oil, [2] and on [3] that which is brought forth by [2] the ground; [1] and on men [3] and on the livestock, [2] and on [2] all the labor of the hands.” [1] ¶
	¹²וַיִּשְׁמַ֣ע זְרֻבָּבֶ֣ל ׀ בֶּֽן־שַׁלְתִּיאֵ֡ל [4] Pazer וִיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ בֶּן־יְהוֹצָדָק֩ הַכֹּהֵ֨ן הַגָּד֜וֹל [4] Geresh וְכֹ֣ל ׀ [4] Legarmeh שְׁאֵרִ֣ית הָעָ֗ם [3] Revi'i בְּקוֹל֙ [3] Pashta יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef וְעַל־דִּבְרֵי֙ [3] Pashta חַגַּ֣י הַנָּבִ֔יא [2] Zaqef כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר שְׁלָח֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta וַיִּֽירְא֥וּ הָעָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha מִפְּנֵ֥י יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		¹²And he listened, Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, [4] and Joshua son of Jehozadak the high priest, [4] and all [4] the remnant of the people, [3] to the voice [3] of the LORD their God, [2] and to the words [3] of Haggai the prophet, [2] since he had sent him, [2] the LORD their God; [1] and the people feared [2] the LORD. [1]
	¹³וַ֠יֹּ֠אמֶר [4 4] TelishaG חַגַּ֞י [4] Gershayim מַלְאַ֧ךְ יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir בְּמַלְאֲכ֥וּת יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha לָעָ֣ם לֵאמֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta אֲנִ֥י אִתְּכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		¹³And he said, [4 4] Haggai [4] the messenger of the LORD, [3] by the message of the LORD, [2] to the people saying; [1] “I am with you,” [2] says the LORD. [1]
	¹⁴וַיָּ֣עַר יְהֹוָ֡ה [4] Pazer אֶת־ר֩וּחַ֩ זְרֻבָּבֶ֨ל בֶּן־שַׁלְתִּיאֵ֜ל [4] Geresh פַּחַ֣ת יְהוּדָ֗ה [3] Revi'i וְאֶת־ר֙וּחַ֙ [3 3] Pashta יְהוֹשֻׁ֤עַ בֶּן־יְהוֹצָדָק֙ [3] Pashta הַכֹּהֵ֣ן הַגָּד֔וֹל [2] Zaqef וְֽאֶת־ר֔וּחַ [2] Zaqef כֹּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha שְׁאֵרִ֣ית הָעָ֑ם [1] Etnachta וַיָּבֹ֙אוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta וַיַּעֲשׂ֣וּ מְלָאכָ֔ה [2] Zaqef בְּבֵית־יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha אֱלֹהֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq פ		¹⁴And the LORD stirred up [4] the spirit of Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel [4] governor of Judah, [3] and the spirit [3 3] of Joshua son of Jehozadak [3] the high priest, [2] and the spirit [2] of all [2] the remnant of the people; [1] and they came [3 3] and they worked [2] on the house of the LORD of Hosts, [2] their God, [1] ¶
	¹⁵בְּי֨וֹם עֶשְׂרִ֧ים וְאַרְבָּעָ֛ה [3] Tevir לַחֹ֖דֶשׁ [2] Tip'cha בַּשִּׁשִּׁ֑י [1] Etnachta בִּשְׁנַ֥ת שְׁתַּ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha לְדָרְיָ֥וֶשׁ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁵on day twenty and four [3] of the month, [2] in the sixth (month); [1] in year two [2] of Darius the king. [1]
