	¹בַּשְּׁבִיעִ֕י [2] ZaqefG בְּעֶשְׂרִ֥ים וְאֶחָ֖ד [2] Tip'cha לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ [1] Etnachta הָיָה֙ [3] Pashta דְּבַר־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef בְּיַד־חַגַּ֥י הַנָּבִ֖יא [2] Tip'cha לֵאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq		¹In the seventh (month), [2] on (day) twenty and one [2] of the month; [1] it came, [3] the word of the LORD [2] by the hand of Haggai the prophet, [2] saying, [1]
	²אֱמׇר־נָ֗א [3] Revi'i אֶל־זְרֻבָּבֶ֤ל בֶּן־שַׁלְתִּיאֵל֙ [3] Pashta פַּחַ֣ת יְהוּדָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְאֶל־יְהוֹשֻׁ֥עַ בֶּן־יְהוֹצָדָ֖ק [2] Tip'cha הַכֹּהֵ֣ן הַגָּד֑וֹל [1] Etnachta וְאֶל־שְׁאֵרִ֥ית הָעָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha לֵאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq		²“Speak now [3] to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel [3] governor of Judah, [2] and to Joshua son of Jehozadak [2] the high priest; [1] and to the remnant of the people [2] saying, [1]
	³מִ֤י בָכֶם֙ [3] Pashta הַנִּשְׁאָ֔ר [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֤ר רָאָה֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־הַבַּ֣יִת הַזֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef בִּכְבוֹד֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha הָרִאשׁ֑וֹן [1] Etnachta וּמָ֨ה אַתֶּ֜ם [4] Geresh רֹאִ֤ים אֹתוֹ֙ [3] Pashta עַ֔תָּה [2] Zaqef הֲל֥וֹא כָמֹ֛הוּ [3] Tevir כְּאַ֖יִן [2] Tip'cha בְּעֵינֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq		³‘Who among you [3] remains [2] who saw [3] this house [2] in its splendor, [2] the former? [1] And how do you [4] see it [3] now? [2] Is it not [3] as nothing [2] in your eyes? [1]
	⁴וְעַתָּ֣ה חֲזַ֣ק זְרֻבָּבֶ֣ל ׀ נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֡ה [4] Pazer וַחֲזַ֣ק יְהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ בֶּן־יְהוֹצָדָק֩ הַכֹּהֵ֨ן הַגָּד֜וֹל [4] Geresh וַחֲזַ֨ק כׇּל־עַ֥ם הָאָ֛רֶץ [3] Tevir נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וַֽעֲשׂ֑וּ [1] Etnachta כִּֽי־אֲנִ֣י אִתְּכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef נְאֻ֖ם [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq		⁴Yet now be strong O Zerubbabel,’ says the LORD, [4] ‘and be strong O Joshua son of Jehozadak the high priest, [4] and be strong all people of the land,’ [3] says the LORD, [2] ‘and work; [1] for I am with you,’ [2] says [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1]
	⁵אֶֽת־הַדָּבָ֞ר [4] Gershayim אֲשֶׁר־כָּרַ֤תִּי אִתְּכֶם֙ [3] Pashta בְּצֵאתְכֶ֣ם מִמִּצְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef וְרוּחִ֖י [2] Tip'cha עֹמֶ֣דֶת בְּתוֹכְכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta אַל־תִּירָֽאוּ׃ [1] Silluq פ		⁵According to the word [4] that I covenanted with you [3] when you came out from Egypt, [2] my Spirit [2] is standing among you; [1] ‘Do not be afraid.’ [1] ¶
	⁶כִּ֣י כֹ֤ה אָמַר֙ [3] Pashta יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef ע֥וֹד אַחַ֖ת [2] Tip'cha מְעַ֣ט הִ֑יא [1] Etnachta וַאֲנִ֗י [3] Revi'i מַרְעִישׁ֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם וְאֶת־הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Zaqef וְאֶת־הַיָּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha וְאֶת־הֶחָרָבָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		⁶For thus he says, [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] ‘Yet once more, [2] in a little while; [1] and I [3] will shake [3] the heavens and the earth, [2] and the sea [2] and the dry ground, [1]
	⁷וְהִרְעַשְׁתִּי֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִ֔ם [2] Zaqef וּבָ֖אוּ [2] Tip'cha חֶמְדַּ֣ת כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִ֑ם [1] Etnachta וּמִלֵּאתִ֞י [4] Gershayim אֶת־הַבַּ֤יִת הַזֶּה֙ [3] Pashta כָּב֔וֹד [2] Zaqef אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq		⁷and I will shake [3] all the nations, [2] and they will come, [2] the precious things of all the nations; [1] and I will fill [4] this house [3] with splendor, [2] says he, [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1]
	⁸לִ֥י הַכֶּ֖סֶף [2] Tip'cha וְלִ֣י הַזָּהָ֑ב [1] Etnachta נְאֻ֖ם [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq		⁸Mine is the silver [2] and mine is the gold,’ [1] says [2] the LORD of Hosts. [1]
	⁹גָּד֣וֹל יִֽהְיֶ֡ה [4] Pazer כְּבוֹד֩ הַבַּ֨יִת הַזֶּ֤ה הָאַֽחֲרוֹן֙ [3] Pashta מִן־הָ֣רִאשׁ֔וֹן [2] Zaqef אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta וּבַמָּק֤וֹם הַזֶּה֙ [3] Pashta אֶתֵּ֣ן שָׁל֔וֹם [2] Zaqef נְאֻ֖ם [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq פ		⁹‘Great will be [4] the latter splendor of this house, [3] more than the former,’ [2] says he, [2] the LORD of Hosts; [1] ‘and in this place [3] I will give peace,’ [2] says [2] the LORD of Hosts.” [1] ¶
	¹⁰בְּעֶשְׂרִ֤ים וְאַרְבָּעָה֙ [3] Pashta לַתְּשִׁיעִ֔י [2] Zaqef בִּשְׁנַ֥ת שְׁתַּ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha לְדָרְיָ֑וֶשׁ [1] Etnachta הָיָה֙ [3] Pashta דְּבַר־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֶל־חַגַּ֥י הַנָּבִ֖יא [2] Tip'cha לֵאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁰On day twenty and four [3] of the ninth (month), [2] in year two [2] of Darius; [1] it came, [3] the word of the LORD [2] to Haggai the prophet, [2] saying, [1]
	¹¹כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta שְׁאַל־נָ֧א אֶת־הַכֹּהֲנִ֛ים [3] Tevir תּוֹרָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha לֵאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq		¹¹“Thus he says, [2] the LORD of Hosts; [1] Ask now the priests [3] concerning the law, [2] saying, [1]
	¹²הֵ֣ן ׀ [4] Legarmeh יִשָּׂא־אִ֨ישׁ בְּשַׂר־קֹ֜דֶשׁ [4] Geresh בִּכְנַ֣ף בִּגְד֗וֹ [3] Revi'i וְנָגַ֣ע בִּ֠כְנָפ֠וֹ [4 4] TelishaG אֶל־הַלֶּ֨חֶם וְאֶל־הַנָּזִ֜יד [4] Geresh וְאֶל־הַיַּ֧יִן וְאֶל־שֶׁ֛מֶן [3] Tevir וְאֶל־כׇּל־מַאֲכָ֖ל [2] Tip'cha הֲיִקְדָּ֑שׁ [1] Etnachta וַיַּעֲנ֧וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֛ים [3] Tevir וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ [2] Tip'cha לֹֽא׃ [1] Silluq		¹²‘If [4] someone carries holy meat [4] in the fold of his garment, [3] and with his fold he touches [4 4] bread or stew [4] or wine or oil, [3] or any food - [2] will it become holy?’ ” [1] And the priests answered [3] and they said, [2] “No.” [1]
	¹³וַיֹּ֣אמֶר חַגַּ֔י [2] Zaqef אִם־יִגַּ֧ע טְמֵא־נֶ֛פֶשׁ [3] Tevir בְּכׇל־אֵ֖לֶּה [2] Tip'cha הֲיִטְמָ֑א [1] Etnachta וַיַּעֲנ֧וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֛ים [3] Tevir וַיֹּאמְר֖וּ [2] Tip'cha יִטְמָֽא׃ [1] Silluq		¹³And Haggai said, [2] “If one who is unclean from a dead body touches [3] any of these, [2] will it become unclean?” [1] And the priests answered [3] and they said, [2] “It will become unclean.” [1]
	¹⁴וַיַּ֨עַן חַגַּ֜י [4] Geresh וַיֹּ֗אמֶר [3] Revi'i כֵּ֣ן הָֽעָם־הַ֠זֶּ֠ה [4 4] TelishaG וְכֵן־הַגּ֨וֹי הַזֶּ֤ה לְפָנַי֙ [3] Pashta נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְכֵ֖ן [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יְדֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta וַאֲשֶׁ֥ר יַקְרִ֛יבוּ [3] Tevir שָׁ֖ם [2] Tip'cha טָמֵ֥א הֽוּא׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁴Then Haggai answered [4] and he said, [3] “ ‘So it is with this people, [4 4] and so is this nation before me,’ [3] says the LORD, [2] ‘and so is [2] all the work of their hands; [1] that which they offer [3] there [2] is unclean. [1]
	¹⁵וְעַתָּה֙ [3] Pashta שִֽׂימוּ־נָ֣א לְבַבְכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef מִן־הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וָמָ֑עְלָה [1] Etnachta מִטֶּ֧רֶם שֽׂוּם־אֶ֛בֶן [3] Tevir אֶל־אֶ֖בֶן [2] Tip'cha בְּהֵיכַ֥ל יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁵But now, [3] set your heart [2] from this day [2] and back; [1] from before a stone was laid [3] on a stone [2] in the temple of the LORD. [1]
	¹⁶מִֽהְיוֹתָ֥ם בָּא֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־עֲרֵמַ֣ת עֶשְׂרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef וְהָיְתָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha עֲשָׂרָ֑ה [1] Etnachta בָּ֣א אֶל־הַיֶּ֗קֶב [3] Revi'i לַחְשֹׂף֙ [3] Pashta חֲמִשִּׁ֣ים פּוּרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְהָיְתָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha עֶשְׂרִֽים׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁶From that time when one came [3] to a heap of twenty measures, [2] there were [2] ten; [1] when one came to the wine vat [3] to draw out [3] fifty measures, [2] there were [2] twenty. [1]
	¹⁷הִכֵּ֨יתִי אֶתְכֶ֜ם [4] Geresh בַּשִּׁדָּפ֤וֹן וּבַיֵּֽרָקוֹן֙ [3] Pashta וּבַבָּרָ֔ד [2] Zaqef אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha כׇּל־מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה יְדֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta וְאֵין־אֶתְכֶ֥ם אֵלַ֖י [2] Tip'cha נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁷I struck you [4] with blight and with mildew, [3] and with hail, [2] in [2] all the work of your hands; [1] yet you didn’t turn to me,’ [2] says the LORD. [1]
	¹⁸שִׂימוּ־נָ֣א לְבַבְכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef מִן־הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha וָמָ֑עְלָה [1] Etnachta מִיּוֹם֩ עֶשְׂרִ֨ים וְאַרְבָּעָ֜ה [4] Geresh לַתְּשִׁיעִ֗י [3] Revi'i לְמִן־הַיּ֛וֹם [3] Tevir אֲשֶׁר־יֻסַּ֥ד הֵֽיכַל־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha שִׂ֥ימוּ לְבַבְכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq		¹⁸‘Now, set your heart [2] from this day [2] and back; [1] from day twenty and four [4] of the ninth (month), [3] since the day [3] when the temple of the LORD was founded, [2] set your heart - [1]
	¹⁹הַע֤וֹד הַזֶּ֙רַע֙ [3 3] Pashta בַּמְּגוּרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְעַד־הַגֶּ֨פֶן וְהַתְּאֵנָ֧ה וְהָרִמּ֛וֹן [3] Tevir וְעֵ֥ץ הַזַּ֖יִת [2] Tip'cha לֹ֣א נָשָׂ֑א [1] Etnachta מִן־הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha אֲבָרֵֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq פ		¹⁹Is the seed still [3 3] in the granary? [2] And the vine and the fig tree and the pomegranate [3] and the olive tree, [2] it hasn’t borne fruit. [1] From this day [2] I will bless.’ ” [1] ¶
	²⁰וַיְהִ֨י דְבַר־יְהֹוָ֤ה ׀ שֵׁנִית֙ [3] Pashta אֶל־חַגַּ֔י [2] Zaqef בְּעֶשְׂרִ֧ים וְאַרְבָּעָ֛ה [3] Tevir לַחֹ֖דֶשׁ [2] Tip'cha לֵאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq		²⁰And the word of the LORD came a second time [3] to Haggai [2] on day twenty and four [3] of the month, [2] saying, [1]
	²¹אֱמֹ֕ר [2] ZaqefG אֶל־זְרֻבָּבֶ֥ל פַּֽחַת־יְהוּדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha לֵאמֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta אֲנִ֣י מַרְעִ֔ישׁ [2] Zaqef אֶת־הַשָּׁמַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha וְאֶת־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq		²¹“Speak [2] to Zerubbabel governor of Judah [2] saying; [1] ‘I am going to shake [2] the heavens [2] and the earth, [1]
	²²וְהָֽפַכְתִּי֙ [3] Pashta כִּסֵּ֣א מַמְלָכ֔וֹת [2] Zaqef וְהִ֨שְׁמַדְתִּ֔י [2] Zaqef חֹ֖זֶק [2] Tip'cha מַמְלְכ֣וֹת הַגּוֹיִ֑ם [1] Etnachta וְהָפַכְתִּ֤י מֶרְכָּבָה֙ [3] Pashta וְרֹ֣כְבֶ֔יהָ [2] Zaqef וְיָרְד֤וּ סוּסִים֙ [3] Pashta וְרֹ֣כְבֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef אִ֖ישׁ [2] Tip'cha בְּחֶ֥רֶב אָחִֽיו׃ [1] Silluq		²²and I will overthrow [3] the throne of kingdoms, [2] and I will destroy [2] the strength [2] of the kingdoms of the nations; [1] and I will overthrow the chariots [3] and its riders, [2] and horses will go down [3] with their riders, [2] each [2] by the sword of his brother. [1]
	²³בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֣וּא נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֡וֹת [4] Pazer אֶ֠קָּחֲךָ֠ [4 4] TelishaG זְרֻבָּבֶ֨ל בֶּן־שְׁאַלְתִּיאֵ֤ל עַבְדִּי֙ [3] Pashta נְאֻם־יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְשַׂמְתִּ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha כַּֽחוֹתָ֑ם [1] Etnachta כִּֽי־בְךָ֣ בָחַ֔רְתִּי [2] Zaqef נְאֻ֖ם [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq		²³On that day says the LORD of Hosts, [4] I will take you [4 4] O Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel my servant,’ [3] says the LORD, [2] ‘and I will make you [2] like a signet ring; [1] for you I have chosen,’ [2] says [2] the LORD of Hosts.” [1]
