הושע 12 Hosea 12
1 סְבָבֻ֤נִֽי בְכַ֙חַשׁ֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶפְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
 
וּבְמִרְמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
וִיהוּדָ֗ה [3] Revi'i
עֹ֥ד רָד֙ [3] Pashta
עִם־אֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
וְעִם־קְדוֹשִׁ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
נֶאֱמָֽן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 3 2 12 They have surrounded me with lying, [3 3]
Ephraim, [2]
 
and with deceit, [2]
the house of Israel; [1]
 
But Judah, [3]
it still walks [3]
with God, [2]
 
and with the Holy One [2]
is faithful. [1]

וְרֹדֵ֣ף קָדִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
כׇּל־הַיּ֕וֹם [2] ZaqefG
כָּזָ֥ב וָשֹׁ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
יַרְבֶּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וּבְרִית֙ [3] Pashta
עִם־אַשּׁ֣וּר יִכְרֹ֔תוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְשֶׁ֖מֶן [2] Tip'cha
לְמִצְרַ֥יִם יוּבָֽל׃ [1] Silluq

is feeding on wind, [3 3]
and is pursuing an east wind. [2]
 
All the day, [2]
falsehood and violence [2]
he multiplies; [1]
 
and a covenant [3]
with Assyria they are making, [2]
 
and oil, [2]
to Egypt it is carried. [1]
3 וְרִ֥יב לַיהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עִם־יְהוּדָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְלִפְקֹ֤ד עַֽל־יַעֲקֹב֙ [3] Pashta
כִּדְרָכָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
כְּמַעֲלָלָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
יָשִׁ֥יב לֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 2 And the LORD has a case [2]
with Judah; [1]
 
and to visit judgment on Jacob [3]
according to his ways, [2]
 
according to his deeds [2]
he will repay him. [1]
4 בַּבֶּ֖טֶן [2] Tip'cha
עָקַ֣ב אֶת־אָחִ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
וּבְאוֹנ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
שָׂרָ֥ה אֶת־אֱלֹהִֽים׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 In the womb [2]
he took his brother by the heel; [1]
 
and in his manhood [2]
he struggled with God. [1]
5 וַיָּ֤שַׂר אֶל־מַלְאָךְ֙ [3] Pashta
וַיֻּכָ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
בָּכָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וַיִּתְחַנֶּן־ל֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
בֵּֽית־אֵל֙ [3] Pashta
יִמְצָאֶ֔נּוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְשָׁ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
יְדַבֵּ֥ר עִמָּֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq

and he prevailed, [2]
 
he wept [2]
and he made supplication to him. [1]
 
At Bethel [3]
he found him, [2]
 
and there [2]
he speaks with us. [1]
6 וַיהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
אֱלֹהֵ֣י הַצְּבָא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
זִכְרֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 5 And the LORD, [2]
the God of Hosts; [1]
 
The LORD [2]
is his name of renown. [1]
7 וְאַתָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בֵּאלֹהֶ֣יךָ תָשׁ֑וּב [1] Etnachta
 
חֶ֤סֶד וּמִשְׁפָּט֙ [3] Pashta
שְׁמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
וְקַוֵּ֥ה אֶל־אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
תָּמִֽיד׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 6 So you, [2]
return to your God; [1]
 
kindness and justice [3]
keep, [2]
 
and look to your God [2]
continually. [1]
8 כְּנַ֗עַן [3] Revi'i
בְּיָד֛וֹ [3] Tevir
מֹאזְנֵ֥י מִרְמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לַעֲשֹׁ֥ק אָהֵֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 7 A merchant [3]
has in his hand [3]
dishonest scales. [2]
He loves to defraud. [1]
9 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֶפְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef
אַ֣ךְ עָשַׁ֔רְתִּי [2] Zaqef
מָצָ֥אתִי א֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
לִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
כׇּל־יְגִיעַ֕י [2] ZaqefG
לֹ֥א יִמְצְאוּ־לִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
עָוֺ֥ן אֲשֶׁר־חֵֽטְא׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 2 2 8 And Ephraim has said, [2]
“Surely I have become rich, [2]
I have found wealth [2]
for myself. [1]
 
In all my labor, [2]
people won’t find against me [2]
any iniquity that is sin.” [1]
10 וְאָנֹכִ֛י [3] Tevir
יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
עֹ֛ד [3] Tevir
אוֹשִֽׁיבְךָ֥ בׇאֳהָלִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
כִּימֵ֥י מוֹעֵֽד׃ [1] Silluq

have been the LORD your God, [2]
from the land of Egypt. [1]
 
Again [3]
I will make you dwell in tents, [2]
as in the days of an appointed feast. [1]
11 וְדִבַּ֙רְתִּי֙ [3 3] Pashta
עַל־הַנְּבִיאִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
וְאָנֹכִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
חָז֣וֹן הִרְבֵּ֑יתִי [1] Etnachta
 
וּבְיַ֥ד הַנְּבִיאִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֲדַמֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 10 And I spoke [3 3]
to the prophets, [2]
 
and I, [2]
I multiplied visions; [1]
 
and by the hand of the prophets [2]
I gave parables. [1]
12 אִם־גִּלְעָ֥ד אָ֙וֶן֙ [3 3] Pashta
אַךְ־שָׁ֣וְא הָי֔וּ [2] Zaqef
 
בַּגִּלְגָּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
שְׁוָרִ֣ים זִבֵּ֑חוּ [1] Etnachta
 
גַּ֤ם מִזְבְּחוֹתָם֙ [3] Pashta
כְּגַלִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
עַ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
תַּלְמֵ֥י שָׂדָֽי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 11 If Gilead is wicked, [3 3]
surely they are worthless. [2]
 
In Gilgal [2]
they have sacrificed bulls. [1]
 
Their altars also [3]
are like heaps of stones, [2]
 
in [2]
the furrows of a field. [1]
13 וַיִּבְרַ֥ח יַעֲקֹ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
שְׂדֵ֣ה אֲרָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּעֲבֹ֤ד יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Pashta
בְּאִשָּׁ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וּבְאִשָּׁ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
שָׁמָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 12 And Jacob fled [2]
into the country of Aram; [1]
 
and Israel served [3]
for a wife, [2]
 
and for a wife [2]
he tended flocks. [1]
14 וּבְנָבִ֕יא [2] ZaqefG
 
הֶעֱלָ֧ה יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir
אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
מִמִּצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וּבְנָבִ֖יא [2] Tip'cha
נִשְׁמָֽר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 13 And by a prophet [2]
 
the LORD brought up [3]
Israel [2]
from Egypt; [1]
 
and by a prophet [2]
he was preserved. [1]
15 הִכְעִ֥יס אֶפְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
תַּמְרוּרִ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וְדָמָיו֙ [3] Pashta
עָלָ֣יו יִטּ֔וֹשׁ [2] Zaqef
 
וְחֶ֨רְפָּת֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
יָשִׁ֥יב ל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
אֲדֹנָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 2 14 Ephraim has provoked to anger [2]
most bitterly; [1]
 
So his blood [3]
will be left on him, [2]
 
and his reproach, [2]
he will repay to him, [2]
his Lord. [1]
