12 They have surrounded me with lying, [3 3] Ephraim, [2] the house of Israel; [1] it still walks [3] with God, [2] is faithful. [1] |

1 Ephraim [4] is feeding on wind, [3 3] and is pursuing an east wind. [2] falsehood and violence [2] he multiplies; [1] with Assyria they are making, [2] to Egypt it is carried. [1] |
[1] Silluq |

4 And he struggled against an angel [3] and he prevailed, [2] and he made supplication to him. [1] he found him, [2] he speaks with us. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
5 And the LORD, [2] the God of Hosts; [1] is his name of renown. [1] |

6 So you, [2] return to your God; [1] keep, [2] continually. [1] |

8 And Ephraim has said, [2] “Surely I have become rich, [2] I have found wealth [2] for myself. [1] people won’t find against me [2] any iniquity that is sin.” [1] |
9 “But I [3] have been the LORD your God, [2] from the land of Egypt. [1] I will make you dwell in tents, [2] as in the days of an appointed feast. [1] |
[1] Silluq |

11 If Gilead is wicked, [3 3] surely they are worthless. [2] they have sacrificed bulls. [1] are like heaps of stones, [2] the furrows of a field. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
12 And Jacob fled [2] into the country of Aram; [1] for a wife, [2] he tended flocks. [1] |

13 And by a prophet [2] Israel [2] from Egypt; [1] he was preserved. [1] |
