הושע 4 | Hosea 4 | |||
1 Hear the word of the LORD [2] O children of Israel; [1] against the inhabitants of the land, [2] there is no faithfulness and there is no lovingkindness [3] and there is no knowledge of God [2] in the land. [1] |
2 Cursing and deceiving, [2] and murder and stealing [2] and committing adultery; [1] and blood against blood [2] they have touched. [1] |
3 Therefore [4] the land will dry up, [3] everyone who dwells in it, [2] and with the birds of the sky; [1] they will be removed. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
4 Yet any man [3] let him not bring a charge, [2] and let him not accuse; [1] are like those who bring charges against a priest. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
5 So you will stumble by day, [2] with you [2] by night; [1] your mother. [1] |
6 My people have been destroyed [2] from lack of knowledge. [1] the knowledge you have rejected, [3] from serving as priest to me, [2] the law of your God, [2] also I. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
7 As they were multiplied, [2] so they sinned against me; [1] I will change into shame. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
8 The sin of my people, [2] they feed on; [1] they set their heart. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
9 And it will be, like people, [2] like priest; [1] his ways, [2] I will repay to him. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
10 And they will eat, [3] and they will not be satisfied. [2] and they will not increase. [1] giving heed to. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
11 Prostitution [3] and wine and new wine, [2] it takes away the heart. [1] |
12 My people [3] by his wooden idol he inquires, [2] it tells him; [1] it has misled, [2] from under their God. [1] |
13 On the tops of the mountains [4] they sacrifice, [3] they burn incense, [2] and terebinth, [2] for good is its shade; [1] they prostitute themselves, [3 3] your daughters, [2] they commit adultery. [1] |
14 I will not visit judgement on your daughters [4] when they prostitute themselves, [3] when they commit adultery, [2] with prostitutes they go apart, [2] they sacrifice; [1] will come to ruin. [1] |
15 Though you prostitute yourself [3] O Israel, [2] Judah; [1] and don't go up to [3] Beth Aven, [2] ‘By the life of the LORD.’ [1] |
16 For [3] like a stubborn heifer, [2] Israel; [1] the LORD will pasture them [2] in the open field. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
17 Joined to idols [3] is Ephraim. [2] Leave him. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
18 It has come to an end, [2] their drink. [1] shame, [2] her rulers. [1] |
19 A wind has wrapped [3] her [2] in its wings; [1] because of their sacrifices. [1] ¶ |
