הושע 5 Hosea 5
1 שִׁמְעוּ־זֹ֨את הַכֹּהֲנִ֜ים [4] Geresh
וְהַקְשִׁ֣יבוּ ׀ [4] Legarmeh
בֵּ֣ית יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל [3] Revi'i

וּבֵ֤ית הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ [3 3] Pashta
הַאֲזִ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef

כִּ֥י לָכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
הַמִּשְׁפָּ֑ט [1] Etnachta

כִּי־פַח֙ [3] Pashta
הֱיִיתֶ֣ם לְמִצְפָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef

וְרֶ֖שֶׁת [2] Tip'cha
פְּרוּשָׂ֥ה עַל־תָּבֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 4 3 2 2 3 2 1 Hear this O priests, [4]
and pay attention [4]
O house of Israel, [3]

and O house of the king, [3 3]
give ear! [2]

For against you [2]
is the judgment; [1]

for a trap [3]
you have been for Mizpah, [2]

and a net [2]
spread out over Tabor. [1]
2 וְשַׁחֲטָ֥ה שֵׂטִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
הֶעְמִ֑יקוּ [1] Etnachta

וַאֲנִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
מוּסָ֥ר לְכֻלָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 And in slaughter the rebels, [2]
they are deeply involved; [1]

though I [2]
rebuke them all. [1]
3 אֲנִי֙ [3] Pashta
יָדַ֣עְתִּי אֶפְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef

וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
לֹא־נִכְחַ֣ד מִמֶּ֑נִּי [1] Etnachta

כִּ֤י עַתָּה֙ [3] Pashta
הִזְנֵ֣יתָ אֶפְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef

נִטְמָ֖א [2] Tip'cha
יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 3 I, [3]
I know Ephraim, [2]

and Israel, [2]
it is not hidden from me; [1]

for now [3]
you have prostituted yourself O Ephraim, [2]

it has made itself unclean, [2]
Israel. [1]
4 לֹ֤א יִתְּנוּ֙ [3] Pashta
מַ֣עַלְלֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef

לָשׁ֖וּב [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta

כִּ֣י ר֤וּחַ זְנוּנִים֙ [3] Pashta
בְּקִרְבָּ֔ם [2] Zaqef

וְאֶת־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א יָדָֽעוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 4 They don’t allow (them), [3]
their deeds, [2]

to return [2]
to their God; [1]

for a spirit of prostitution [3]
is within them, [2]

and the LORD, [2]
they don’t know. [1]
5 וְעָנָ֥ה גְאֽוֹן־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
בְּפָנָ֑יו [1] Etnachta

וְיִשְׂרָאֵ֣ל וְאֶפְרַ֗יִם [3] Revi'i
יִכָּֽשְׁלוּ֙ [3] Pashta
בַּעֲוֺנָ֔ם [2] Zaqef

כָּשַׁ֥ל גַּם־יְהוּדָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עִמָּֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 3 2 5 And the pride of Israel testifies [2]
in its face; [1]

and Israel and Ephraim, [3]
they will stumble [3]
in their iniquity. [2]

Judah too will stumble [2]
with them. [1]
6 בְּצֹאנָ֣ם וּבִבְקָרָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
יֵ֥לְכ֛וּ [3] Tevir
לְבַקֵּ֥שׁ אֶת־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֣א יִמְצָ֑אוּ [1] Etnachta

חָלַ֖ץ [2] Tip'cha
מֵהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 6 With their flocks and with their herds, [3]
they will go [3]
to seek the LORD, [2]
but they won’t find him; [1]

he has withdrawn [2]
from them. [1]
7 בַּיהֹוָ֣ה בָּגָ֔דוּ [2] Zaqef
כִּי־בָנִ֥ים זָרִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
יָלָ֑דוּ [1] Etnachta

עַתָּ֛ה [3] Tevir
יֹאכְלֵ֥ם חֹ֖דֶשׁ [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־חֶלְקֵיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
ס
1 2 2 2 3 7 With the LORD they have dealt treacherously, [2]
for pagan children [2]
they have borne; [1]

now [3]
a new moon will devour them [2]
with their heritage. [1]

8 תִּקְע֤וּ שׁוֹפָר֙ [3] Pashta

1 2 3 2 2 3 2 8 Blow a shofar [3]
in Gibeah, [2]

a trumpet [2]
in Ramah! [1]

Sound a battle cry [3 3]
Beth Aven, [2]

behind you [2]
O Benjamin! [1]
9 אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta

בְּי֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha
תּוֹכֵחָ֑ה [1] Etnachta

בְּשִׁבְטֵי֙ [3] Pashta
יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef

הוֹדַ֖עְתִּי [2] Tip'cha
נֶאֱמָנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 9 Ephraim, [3 3]
it will become a desolation [2]

in the day [2]
of rebuke. [1]

Among the tribes [3]
of Israel, [2]

I make known [2]
that which will surely be. [1]
10 הָיוּ֙ [3] Pashta
שָׂרֵ֣י יְהוּדָ֔ה [2] Zaqef

כְּמַסִּיגֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
גְּב֑וּל [1] Etnachta

עֲלֵיהֶ֕ם [2] ZaqefG
אֶשְׁפּ֥וֹךְ כַּמַּ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
עֶבְרָתִֽי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 2 10 They have become, [3]
the leaders of Judah, [2]

like those who remove [2]
a boundary. [1]

On them [2]
I will pour out like water [2]
my wrath. [1]
11 עָשׁ֥וּק אֶפְרַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
רְצ֣וּץ מִשְׁפָּ֑ט [1] Etnachta

כִּ֣י הוֹאִ֔יל [2] Zaqef
הָלַ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
אַחֲרֵי־צָֽו׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 11 Oppressed is Ephraim, [2]
he is broken in judgment; [1]

because he was determined [2]
to follow [2]
after emptiness. [1]
12 וַאֲנִ֥י כָעָ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha
לְאֶפְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta

וְכָרָקָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
לְבֵ֥ית יְהוּדָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 12 Therefore I am like a moth [2]
to Ephraim; [1]

and like rottenness [2]
to the house of Judah. [1]
13 וַיַּ֨רְא אֶפְרַ֜יִם [4] Geresh
אֶת־חׇלְי֗וֹ [3] Revi'i

וִֽיהוּדָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־מְזֹר֔וֹ [2] Zaqef

וַיֵּ֤לֶךְ אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶל־אַשּׁ֔וּר [2] Zaqef

וַיִּשְׁלַ֖ח [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־מֶ֣לֶךְ יָרֵ֑ב [1] Etnachta

וְה֗וּא [3] Revi'i
לֹ֤א יוּכַל֙ [3] Pashta
לִרְפֹּ֣א לָכֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef

וְלֹא־יִגְהֶ֥ה מִכֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
מָזֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 3 2 2 3 3 2 13 And when Ephraim saw [4]
his sickness, [3]

and Judah [3]
his wound, [2]

then Ephraim went [3 3]
to Assyria [2]

and he sent [2]
to king Jareb; [1]

but he [3]
he is not able [3]
to heal you, [2]

and it will not depart from you [2]
the wound. [1]
14 כִּ֣י אָנֹכִ֤י כַשַּׁ֙חַל֙ [3 3] Pashta
לְאֶפְרַ֔יִם [2] Zaqef

וְכַכְּפִ֖יר [2] Tip'cha
לְבֵ֣ית יְהוּדָ֑ה [1] Etnachta

אֲנִ֨י אֲנִ֤י אֶטְרֹף֙ [3] Pashta
וְאֵלֵ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef

אֶשָּׂ֖א [2] Tip'cha
וְאֵ֥ין מַצִּֽיל׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 14 For I will be like a lion [3 3]
to Ephraim, [2]

and like a young lion [2]
to the house of Judah. [1]

I myself, I will tear to pieces [3]
and I will go. [2]

I will carry off, [2]
and there will be no deliverer. [1]
15 אֵלֵ֤ךְ אָשׁ֙וּבָה֙ [3 3] Pashta
אֶל־מְקוֹמִ֔י [2] Zaqef

עַ֥ד אֲשֶֽׁר־יֶאְשְׁמ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וּבִקְשׁ֣וּ פָנָ֑י [1] Etnachta

בַּצַּ֥ר לָהֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
יְשַׁחֲרֻֽנְנִי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 15 I will go - I will return [3 3]
to my place, [2]

until they acknowledge their offense [2]
and they seek my face; [1]

when in their affliction [2]
they will seek me earnestly. [1]
