הושע 9 | Hosea 9 | |||
1 Do not rejoice O Israel to jubilation [3] like the peoples, [2] from your God. [1] on [2] every grain threshing floor. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
2 Threshing floor and wine press, [2] it won’t feed them; [1] it will fail in her. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
3 They won’t remain [2] in the land of the LORD; [1] to Egypt, [2] unclean food they will eat. [1] |
4 They won’t pour out to the LORD wine offerings, [3 3] and they will not be pleasing to him. [2] will be like bread of mourning [3] to them. [2] they will make themselves unclean. [1] It will not go to [2] the house of the LORD. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
5 What will you do [2] for the day of an appointed festival; [1] of the feast of the LORD? [1] |
6 For behold when they have fled [3] from the devastation, [2] Memphis, it will bury them. [1] nettles [3] will take possession of them. [2] will be in their tents. [1] |
7 They have come, [4] the days of punishment. [3] the days of reckoning. [2] Israel; [1] mad is [3] the person of the spirit, [2] the greatness of your iniquity, [2] animosity. [1] |
8 A watchman was Ephraim [2] with my God; [1] a snare of a fowler [3] on all his paths, [2] in the house of his God. [1] |
9 They have deeply corrupted themselves, [2] as in the days of Gibeah. [1] he will punish [2] their sins. [1] § |
10 כַּעֲנָבִ֣ים בַּמִּדְבָּ֗ר [3] Revi'i מָצָ֙אתִי֙ [3 3] Pashta יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef בְּרֵ֣אשִׁיתָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta בָּ֣אוּ בַֽעַל־פְּע֗וֹר [3] Revi'i לַבֹּ֔שֶׁת [2] Zaqef כְּאׇהֳבָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
10 Like grapes in the wilderness, [3] I found [3 3] Israel. [2] at its first season, [2] your fathers. [1] they came to Baal Peor, [3] to the shameful thing, [2] like that which they loved. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
11 Ephraim, [2] like a bird [2] their glory will fly away; [1] and from conception. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
12 For though they bring up [3] their children, [2] from everyone; [1] when I depart from them. [1] |
13 Ephraim [3] just as I have (granted) to Tyre, [2] is planted in pastureland; [1] to bring out to be killed, [2] his children. [1] |
[1] Silluq |
14 Give to them O LORD... [2] what would you give? [1] a womb which miscarries, [2] which dry up. [1] |
15 “All their wickedness is in Gilgal, [3] for there I hated them. [2] the wickedness of their deeds, [2] I will drive them out. [1] love them. [2] are rebels. [1] |
16 Ephraim has been struck. [2] Their root has dried up. [2] They will bear no fruit. [1] though they give birth, [2] the precious things of their womb.” [1] |
17 My God will reject them, [2] they have not listened [2] to him; [1] among the nations. [1] § |
