1 2 3 2 2 2 1 Do not rejoice O Israel to jubilation [3]
like the peoples, [2]

for you have prostituted yourself [2]
from your God. [1]

You have loved the wages of a prostitute, [2]
on [2]
every grain threshing floor. [1]
2 גֹּ֥רֶן וָיֶ֖קֶב [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֣א יִרְעֵ֑ם [1] Etnachta

וְתִיר֖וֹשׁ [2] Tip'cha
יְכַ֥חֶשׁ בָּֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 3 2 3 3 2 2 2 4 They won’t pour out to the LORD wine offerings, [3 3]
and they will not be pleasing to him. [2]

Their sacrifices [3]
will be like bread of mourning [3]
to them. [2]

All who eat of it, [2]
they will make themselves unclean. [1]

For their bread will be for their appetite. [2]
It will not go to [2]
the house of the LORD. [1]

לְי֣וֹם מוֹעֵ֑ד [1] Etnachta

וּלְי֖וֹם [2] Tip'cha
חַג־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 5 What will you do [2]
for the day of an appointed festival; [1]

and for the day [2]
of the feast of the LORD? [1]
6 כִּֽי־הִנֵּ֤ה הָֽלְכוּ֙ [3] Pashta

Egypt, it will gather them. [2]
Memphis, it will bury them. [1]

Their treasures of silver, [3]
nettles [3]
will take possession of them. [2]

Thorns [2]
will be in their tents. [1]

the days of reckoning. [2]

Let them know, [2]
Israel; [1]

a fool is the prophet, [3]
mad is [3]
the person of the spirit, [2]

because of [3]
the greatness of your iniquity, [2]

and great [2]
animosity. [1]

1 2 2 3 4 2 8 A watchman was Ephraim [2]
with my God; [1]

a prophet, [4]
a snare of a fowler [3]
on all his paths, [2]

animosity [2]
in the house of his God. [1]

I found [3 3]
Israel. [2]

Like early figs on a fig tree [3]
at its first season, [2]

I saw [2]
your fathers. [1]

They, [4]
they came to Baal Peor, [3]

and they devoted themselves [3]
to the shameful thing, [2]

and they became detestable [2]
like that which they loved. [1]
