1 כִּי֩ יְרַחֵ֨ם יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh
אֶֽת־יַעֲקֹ֗ב [3] Revi'a
 
וּבָחַ֥ר עוֹד֙ [3] Merkha Pashta
בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
וְהִנִּיחָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
עַל־אַדְמָתָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְנִלְוָ֤ה הַגֵּר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
עֲלֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וְנִסְפְּח֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
עַל־בֵּ֥ית יַעֲקֹֽב׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

Jacob [3]
 
and he will again choose [3]
Israel, [2]
 
and he will settle them [2]
in their own land; [1]
 
and the outsider will join himself [3]
with them, [2]
 
and they will cling [2]

לַעֲבָדִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha

וְהָיוּ֙ [3] Pashta
שֹׁבִ֣ים לְשֹׁבֵיהֶ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְרָד֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
בְּנֹגְשֵׂיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

and they will escort them to their place, [2]
 
and the house of Israel will possess them [3]
in [3]
the land of the LORD, [2]
 
as servants [2]
and as handmaids; [1]

take captive their captors, [2]
 
and they shall rule [2]
over their oppressors. [1]

אֲשֶׁ֥ר עֻבַּד־בָּֽךְ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

שָׁבַ֣ת נֹגֵ֔שׂ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
שָׁבְתָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מַדְהֵבָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

בְּלִ֥י חָשָֽׂךְ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

with blows [2]

into shouts of joy. [1]

along with the cedars of Lebanon; [1]
 
“Since you were laid low, [2]
no woodcutter comes up [2]

חֻלֵּ֥יתָ כָמ֖וֹנוּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
אֵלֵ֥ינוּ נִמְשָֽׁלְתָּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

and they say [2]
to you; [1]
 
“You too, [3]
you have been made weak like us, [2]
you have become like us.” [1]
11 הוּרַ֥ד שְׁא֛וֹל [3] Merkha Tevir
גְּאוֹנֶ֖ךָ [2] Tip'cha
הֶמְיַ֣ת נְבָלֶ֑יךָ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
תַּחְתֶּ֙יךָ֙ [3] Pashta
יֻצַּ֣ע רִמָּ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וּמְכַסֶּ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
תּוֹלֵעָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

your pomp [2]
(and) the sound of your harps; [1]
 
under you [3]
maggots are spread out as a bed, [2]
 
and your covering [2]
is worms. [1]

הַשָּׁמַ֣יִם אֶעֱלֶ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
מִמַּ֥עַל לְכוֹכְבֵי־אֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha
אָרִ֣ים כִּסְאִ֑י [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְאֵשֵׁ֥ב בְּהַר־מוֹעֵ֖ד [2] Merkha Tip'cha
בְּיַרְכְּתֵ֥י צָפֽוֹן׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

you said in your heart, [3]
“I will ascend to heaven, [2]
 
above the stars of God [2]
I will exalt my throne; [1]
 
and I will sit upon the mount of assembly, [2]
in the remotest parts of the north. [1]
14 אֶֽעֱלֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עַל־בָּ֣מֳתֵי עָ֑ב [1] Munach Etnachta
 
אֶדַּמֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לְעֶלְיֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 14 I will ascend [2]
above the heights of the clouds; [1]
 
I will make myself like [2]
the Most High.” [1]
15 אַ֧ךְ אֶל־שְׁא֛וֹל [3] Darga Tevir
תּוּרָ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־יַרְכְּתֵי־בֽוֹר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 15 Yet to Sheol [3]
you are brought down, [2]
to the depths of the pit. [1]
16 רֹאֶ֙יךָ֙ [3] Pashta
אֵלֶ֣יךָ יַשְׁגִּ֔יחוּ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
אֵלֶ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
יִתְבּוֹנָ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta
 
הֲזֶ֤ה הָאִישׁ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
מַרְגִּ֣יז הָאָ֔רֶץ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
מַרְעִ֖ישׁ [2] Tip'cha
מַמְלָכֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

like a wilderness, [2]
and its cities he destroyed; [1]
 
for his prisoners [2]
he opened not the house?” [1]

they lie in glory, [2]
each in his own house. [1]

כְּנֵ֣צֶר נִתְעָ֔ב [2] Munach Zaqef
 
לְבֻ֥שׁ הֲרֻגִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מְטֹ֣עֲנֵי חָ֑רֶב [1] Munach Etnachta
 
יוֹרְדֵ֥י אֶל־אַבְנֵי־ב֖וֹר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
כְּפֶ֥גֶר מוּבָֽס׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

you are cast out of your tomb [3]
like a discarded branch, [2]
 
(with the) garment of the slain [2]
who are pierced with a sword; [1]
 
who are dumped into a stony pit [2]

בִּקְבוּרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
כִּי־אַרְצְךָ֥ שִׁחַ֖תָּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
עַמְּךָ֣ הָרָ֑גְתָּ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
לֹא־יִקָּרֵ֥א לְעוֹלָ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
זֶ֥רַע מְרֵעִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

in burial, [2]
 
because you have destroyed your land, [2]
your people you have slain; [1]
 
they will never be named, [2]
the offspring of evildoers. [1]

בַּעֲוֺ֣ן אֲבוֹתָ֑ם [1] Munach Etnachta
 
בַּל־יָקֻ֙מוּ֙ [3] Pashta
וְיָ֣רְשׁוּ אָ֔רֶץ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וּמָלְא֥וּ פְנֵי־תֵבֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha
עָרִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

a place of slaughter, [2]
for the iniquity of their fathers; [1]
 
that they not rise up [3]
and possess the land, [2]
 
and fill the surface of the world [2]
with cities. [1]

יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְהִכְרַתִּ֨י לְבָבֶ֜ל [4] Qadma Geresh
שֵׁ֥ם וּשְׁאָ֛ר [3] Merkha Tevir
וְנִ֥ין וָנֶ֖כֶד [2] Merkha Tip'cha
נְאֻם־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

“and I will cut off from Babylon [4]
name and remnant, [3]
and offspring and descendants,” [2]

וְאַגְמֵי־מָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta
 
וְטֵאטֵאתִ֙יהָ֙ [3] Pashta
בְּמַטְאֲטֵ֣א הַשְׁמֵ֔ד [2] Munach Zaqef
 
נְאֻ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

a possession of hedgehogs, [2]
and pools of water; [1]
 
and I will sweep it [3]
with the broom of destruction,” [2]

יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לֵאמֹ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
אִם־לֹ֞א [4] Gershayim
כַּאֲשֶׁ֤ר דִּמִּ֙יתִי֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
כֵּ֣ן הָיָ֔תָה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְכַאֲשֶׁ֥ר יָעַ֖צְתִּי [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הִ֥יא תָקֽוּם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

“Surely [4]
just as I have planned, [3]
so shall it be, [2]
 
and just as I have purposed, [2]
it, it shall stand: [1]
25 לִשְׁבֹּ֤ר אַשּׁוּר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
בְּאַרְצִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְעַל־הָרַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אֲבוּסֶ֑נּוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וְסָ֤ר מֵֽעֲלֵיהֶם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
עֻלּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְסֻ֨בֳּל֔וֹ [2] Qadma Zaqef
מֵעַ֥ל שִׁכְמ֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
יָסֽוּר׃ [1] Silluq

in my land, [2]
 
and on my mountains [2]
I will tread him down; [1]
 
then it will be removed from them, [3]
his yoke, [2]
 
and his burden, [2]
from their shoulder [2]

הַיָּ֥ד הַנְּטוּיָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
עַל־כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִֽם׃ [1] Silluq

is the purpose that is purposed [2]
for the whole earth; [1]
 
and this [3]
is the hand which is stretched out [2]
over all the nations. [1]

וּמִ֣י יָפֵ֑ר [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְיָד֥וֹ הַנְּטוּיָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וּמִ֥י יְשִׁיבֶֽנָּה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

so who can stop it? [1]
 
When his hand is stretched out, [2]
who can turn it back?” [1]

הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ אָחָ֑ז [1] Munach Etnachta
 
הָיָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
הַמַּשָּׂ֥א הַזֶּֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

of the king Ahaz; [1]
 
it came, [2]
this oracle. [1]
29 אַֽל־תִּשְׂמְחִ֤י פְלֶ֙שֶׁת֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
כֻּלֵּ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י נִשְׁבַּ֖ר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
שֵׁ֣בֶט מַכֵּ֑ךְ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־מִשֹּׁ֤רֶשׁ נָחָשׁ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
יֵ֣צֵא צֶ֔פַע [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וּפִרְי֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
שָׂרָ֥ף מְעוֹפֵֽף׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

all of you, [2]
 
that it is broken, [2]
the rod of the one who struck you; [1]
 
for from the root of a serpent, [3]
a viper will emerge, [2]
 
and its fruit [2]
will be a flying serpent. [1]

בְּכוֹרֵ֣י דַלִּ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְאֶבְיוֹנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לָבֶ֣טַח יִרְבָּ֑צוּ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְהֵמַתִּ֤י בָרָעָב֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
שׇׁרְשֵׁ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef
 
וּשְׁאֵרִיתֵ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
יַהֲרֹֽג׃ [1] Silluq

the firstborn of the poor, [2]
 
and the needy [2]
will lie down in safety; [1]
 
and I will put to death by famine [3]
your root, [2]
 
and your remnant, [2]
it will kill. [1]
31 הֵילִ֤ילִֽי שַׁ֙עַר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
זַֽעֲקִי־עִ֔יר [2] Zaqef
 
נָמ֖וֹג [2] Tip'cha
פְּלֶ֣שֶׁת כֻּלֵּ֑ךְ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
כִּ֤י מִצָּפוֹן֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
עָשָׁ֣ן בָּ֔א [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְאֵ֥ין בּוֹדֵ֖ד [2] Merkha Tip'cha
בְּמוֹעָדָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

Cry out, O city! [2]
 
Melt in fear [2]
O Philistia, all of you; [1]
 
for from the north [3]
smoke is coming, [2]
 
and there is not a straggler [2]
in his ranks. [1]

מַלְאֲכֵי־ג֑וֹי [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֤י יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
יִסַּ֣ד צִיּ֔וֹן [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וּבָ֥הּ יֶחֱס֖וּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
עֲנִיֵּ֥י עַמּֽוֹ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

the messengers of a nation? [1]
 
That the LORD, [3]
he has founded Zion, [2]
 
and in her they will take refuge, [2]
the afflicted of his people. [1]
