1 מַשָּׂ֖א [2] Tip'cha
גֵּ֣יא חִזָּי֑וֹן [1] Munach Etnachta
 
מַה־לָּ֣ךְ אֵפ֔וֹא [2] Munach Zaqef
כִּי־עָלִ֥ית כֻּלָּ֖ךְ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לַגַּגּֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 1 The burden [2]
of the Valley of Vision; [1]
 
what is the matter with you now, [2]
for you have gone up all of you [2]
to the rooftops? [1]
2 תְּשֻׁא֣וֹת ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh
מְלֵאָ֗ה [3] Revi'a
 
עִ֚יר [3] Yetiv
הֽוֹמִיָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
קִרְיָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עַלִּיזָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
חֲלָלַ֙יִךְ֙ [3] Pashta
לֹ֣א חַלְלֵי־חֶ֔רֶב [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֖א [2] Tip'cha
מֵתֵ֥י מִלְחָמָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

O city [3]
boisterous, [2]
 
O town [2]
exultant; [1]
 
your dead [3]
were not slain with the sword, [2]
 
and were not [2]

3 כׇּל־קְצִינַ֥יִךְ נָֽדְדוּ־יַ֖חַד [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מִקֶּ֣שֶׁת אֻסָּ֑רוּ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
כׇּל־נִמְצָאַ֙יִךְ֙ [3] Pashta
אֻסְּר֣וּ יַחְדָּ֔ו [2] Munach Zaqef
 
מֵרָח֖וֹק [2] Tip'cha
בָּרָֽחוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 3 All your rulers have fled together, [2]
without a bow they were captured; [1]
 
all of you who were caught, [3]
they were taken into exile together, [2]
 
from the far place [2]
they had fled. [1]
4 עַל־כֵּ֥ן אָמַ֛רְתִּי [3] Merkha Tevir
שְׁע֥וּ מִנִּ֖י [2] Merkha Tip'cha
אֲמָרֵ֣ר בַּבֶּ֑כִי [1] Munach Etnachta
 
אַל־תָּאִ֣יצוּ לְנַֽחֲמֵ֔נִי [2] Munach Zaqef
עַל־שֹׁ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
בַּת־עַמִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq

“Look away from me, [2]
let me weep bitterly; [1]
 
don’t try to comfort me [2]
about the ruin [2]
of the daughter of my people. [1]
5 כִּ֣י יוֹם֩ מְהוּמָ֨ה וּמְבוּסָ֜ה [4] Munach TelishaQ Qadma Geresh
וּמְבוּכָ֗ה [3] Revi'a
 
לַֽאדֹנָ֧י יֱהֹוִ֛ה [3] Darga Tevir
צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
 
בְּגֵ֣י חִזָּי֑וֹן [1] Munach Etnachta
 
מְקַרְקַ֥ר קִ֖ר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְשׁ֥וֹעַ אֶל־הָהָֽר׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

and confusion [3]
 
belongs to the Lord GOD [3]
of Hosts, [2]
 
in the Valley of Vision; [1]
 
a tearing down of a wall [2]
and a catastrophe on the mountain.” [1]
6 וְעֵילָם֙ [3] Pashta
נָשָׂ֣א אַשְׁפָּ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
בְּרֶ֥כֶב אָדָ֖ם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
פָּרָשִׁ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וְקִ֥יר עֵרָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מָגֵֽן׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 6 And Elam, [3]
he took up the quiver, [2]
 
with chariots of men, [2]
horsemen; [1]
 
and Kir uncovered [2]
the shield. [1]
7 וַיְהִ֥י מִבְחַר־עֲמָקַ֖יִךְ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מָ֣לְאוּ רָ֑כֶב [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְהַפָּ֣רָשִׁ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef
שֹׁ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
שָׁ֥תוּ הַשָּֽׁעְרָה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 2 2 7 So it will come to pass that your choicest valleys, [2]
they will be full of chariots; [1]
 
and the horsemen [2]
in array [2]
setting themselves at the gate. [1]
8 וַיְגַ֕ל [2] ZaqefG
אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
מָסַ֣ךְ יְהוּדָ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וַתַּבֵּט֙ [3] Pashta
בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא [2] Munach Zaqef
 
אֶל־נֶ֖שֶׁק [2] Tip'cha
בֵּ֥ית הַיָּֽעַר׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

the covering of Judah; [1]
 
and you will look [3]
in that day [2]
 
to the weapons [2]
of the house of the forest. [1]
9 וְאֵ֨ת בְּקִיעֵ֧י עִיר־דָּוִ֛ד [3] Qadma Darga Tevir
רְאִיתֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
כִּי־רָ֑בּוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וַֽתְּקַבְּצ֔וּ [2] Zaqef
אֶת־מֵ֥י הַבְּרֵכָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הַתַּחְתּוֹנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 9 Then the breaches of the city of David [3]
you will see, [2]
for they will be many; [1]
 
though you collect [2]
the waters of the pool, [2]
the lower. [1]
10 וְאֶת־בָּתֵּ֥י יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
סְפַרְתֶּ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וַתִּתְצוּ֙ [3] Pashta
הַבָּ֣תִּ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef
 
לְבַצֵּ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
הַחוֹמָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 10 And the houses of Jerusalem [2]
you counted; [1]
 
but you broke down [3]
the houses [2]
 
to fortify [2]
the wall. [1]
11 וּמִקְוָ֣ה ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh
עֲשִׂיתֶ֗ם [3] Revi'a
 
בֵּ֚ין [3] Yetiv
הַחֹ֣מֹתַ֔יִם [2] Munach Zaqef
 
לְמֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
הַבְּרֵכָ֣ה הַיְשָׁנָ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְלֹ֤א הִבַּטְתֶּם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
אֶל־עֹשֶׂ֔יהָ [2] Zaqef
 
וְיֹצְרָ֥הּ מֵרָח֖וֹק [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לֹ֥א רְאִיתֶֽם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

you made [3]
 
between [3]
the two walls, [2]
 
for the water [2]
of the old pool; [1]
 
but you didn’t look [3]
to the one who made it, [2]
 
and the one who planned it long ago [2]
you didn't consider. [1]
12 וַיִּקְרָ֗א [3] Revi'a
אֲדֹנָ֧י יֱהֹוִ֛ה [3] Darga Tevir
צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא [1] Munach Etnachta
 
לִבְכִי֙ [3] Pashta
וּלְמִסְפֵּ֔ד [2] Zaqef
 
וּלְקׇרְחָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְלַחֲגֹ֥ר שָֽׂק׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

the Lord GOD [3]
of Hosts [2]
in that day; [1]
 
for weeping, [3]
and for wailing, [2]
 
and for baldness, [2]
and for putting on sackcloth, [1]
13 וְהִנֵּ֣ה ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh
שָׂשׂ֣וֹן וְשִׂמְחָ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a
 
הָרֹ֤ג ׀ בָּקָר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
וְשָׁחֹ֣ט צֹ֔אן [2] Munach Zaqef
 
אָכֹ֥ל בָּשָׂ֖ר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְשָׁת֣וֹת יָ֑יִן [1] Munach Etnachta
 
אָכ֣וֹל וְשָׁת֔וֹ [2] Munach Zaqef
כִּ֥י מָחָ֖ר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
נָמֽוּת׃ [1] Silluq

joy and gladness, [3]
 
they are slaughtering cattle [3]
and they are killing sheep, [2]
 
they are eating meat [2]
and they are drinking wine; [1]
 
“Let’s eat and let's drink, [2]
for tomorrow [2]
we will die.” [1]
14 וְנִגְלָ֥ה בְאׇזְנָ֖י [2] Merkha Tip'cha
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Munach Etnachta
 
אִם־יְ֠כֻפַּ֠ר [4] TelishaG
הֶעָוֺ֨ן הַזֶּ֤ה לָכֶם֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta
עַד־תְּמֻת֔וּן [2] Zaqef
 
אָמַ֛ר [3] Tevir
אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
צְבָאֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

the LORD of Hosts; [1]
 
“Surely not will it be atoned for [4]
this sin for you [3]
until you die,” [2]
 
he says, [3]
the Lord GOD [2]

15 כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֛ר [3] Merkha Tevir
אֲדֹנָ֥י יֱהֹוִ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
צְבָא֑וֹת [1] Etnachta
 
לֶךְ־בֹּא֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־הַסֹּכֵ֣ן הַזֶּ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
עַל־שֶׁבְנָ֖א [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־הַבָּֽיִת׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

of Hosts; [1]
 
“Come, go [3]
to this steward, [2]
 
to Shebna, [2]
who is over the house, [1]
16 מַה־לְּךָ֥ פֹה֙ [3] Merkha Pashta
וּמִ֣י לְךָ֣ פֹ֔ה [2] Munach Munach Zaqef
 
כִּֽי־חָצַ֧בְתָּ לְּךָ֛ [3] Darga Tevir
פֹּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
קָ֑בֶר [1] Etnachta
 
חֹצְבִ֤י מָרוֹם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
קִבְר֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
חֹקְקִ֥י בַסֶּ֖לַע [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מִשְׁכָּ֥ן לֽוֹ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

and who of yours is here, [2]
 
that you have cut out for yourself [3]
here [2]
a tomb?’ [1]
 
carving out on the height [3]
his tomb, [2]
 
chiseling in the rock [2]
a resting place for himself!” [1]
17 הִנֵּ֤ה יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
מְטַלְטֶלְךָ֔ [2] Zaqef
 
טַלְטֵלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
גָּ֑בֶר [1] Etnachta
 
וְעֹטְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
עָטֹֽה׃ [1] Silluq

will hurl you away [2]
 
headlong [2]
O strong man; [1]
 
and will seize you [2]
firmly. [1]
18 צָנ֤וֹף יִצְנׇפְךָ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
צְנֵפָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
כַּדּ֕וּר [2] ZaqefG
אֶל־אֶ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
רַחֲבַ֣ת יָדָ֑יִם [1] Munach Etnachta
 
שָׁ֣מָּה תָמ֗וּת [3] Munach Revi'a
וְשָׁ֙מָּה֙ [3] Pashta
מַרְכְּב֣וֹת כְּבוֹדֶ֔ךָ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
קְל֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
בֵּ֥ית אֲדֹנֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

and toss you, [2]
 
like a ball [2]
into a land [2]
broad on both sides; [1]
 
there you will die, [3]
and there [3]
the chariots of your splendor [2]
 
will be the shame [2]
of the house of your master. [1]
19 וַהֲדַפְתִּ֖יךָ [2] Tip'cha
מִמַּצָּבֶ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
וּמִמַּעֲמָֽדְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
יֶהֶרְסֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 19 And I will remove you [2]
from your post; [1]
 
and from your station [2]
he will pull you down. [1]
20 וְהָיָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְקָרָ֣אתִי לְעַבְדִּ֔י [2] Munach Zaqef
לְאֶלְיָקִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
בֶּן־חִלְקִיָּֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq

in that day; [1]
 
that I will summon my servant [2]
Eliakim [2]
son of Hilkiah, [1]
21 וְהִלְבַּשְׁתִּ֣יו כֻּתׇּנְתֶּ֗ךָ [3] Munach Revi'a
וְאַבְנֵֽטְךָ֙ [3] Pashta
אֲחַזְּקֶ֔נּוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וּמֶֽמְשַׁלְתְּךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
אֶתֵּ֣ן בְּיָד֑וֹ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְהָיָ֥ה לְאָ֛ב [3] Merkha Tevir
לְיוֹשֵׁ֥ב יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וּלְבֵ֥ית יְהוּדָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

and your sash [3]
I will fasten on him, [2]
 
and your authority [2]
I will put in his hands; [1]
 
so he will be a father [3]
to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, [2]
and to the house of Judah. [1]
22 וְנָתַתִּ֛י [3] Tevir
מַפְתֵּ֥חַ בֵּית־דָּוִ֖ד [2] Merkha Tip'cha
עַל־שִׁכְמ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וּפָתַח֙ [3] Pashta
וְאֵ֣ין סֹגֵ֔ר [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְסָגַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
וְאֵ֥ין פֹּתֵֽחַ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

the key of the house of David [2]
upon his shoulder; [1]
 
and what he opens, [3]
no one can shut, [2]
 
and what he shuts, [2]
no one can open. [1]
23 וּתְקַעְתִּ֥יו יָתֵ֖ד [2] Merkha Tip'cha
בְּמָק֣וֹם נֶאֱמָ֑ן [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְהָיָ֛ה [3] Tevir
לְכִסֵּ֥א כָב֖וֹד [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לְבֵ֥ית אָבִֽיו׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 2 3 23 And I will fasten him as a peg [2]
in a firm place; [1]
 
and he will be [3]
a seat of honor [2]
to the house of his father. [1]
24 וְתָל֨וּ עָלָ֜יו [4] Qadma Geresh
כֹּ֣ל ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh
כְּב֣וֹד בֵּית־אָבִ֗יו [3] Munach Revi'a
 
הַצֶּֽאֱצָאִים֙ [3] Pashta
וְהַצְּפִע֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
כֹּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
כְּלֵ֣י הַקָּטָ֑ן [1] Munach Etnachta
 
מִכְּלֵי֙ [3] Pashta
הָאַגָּנ֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
וְעַ֖ד [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־כְּלֵ֥י הַנְּבָלִֽים׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

the honor of the house of his father, [3]
 
offspring [3]
and posterity, [2]
 
all [2]
the small vessels; [1]
 
from the vessels [3]
of the bowls [2]

all the vessels of the jars. [1]

יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Munach Zaqef
 
תָּמוּשׁ֙ [3] Pashta
הַיָּתֵ֔ד [2] Zaqef
 
הַתְּקוּעָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּמָק֣וֹם נֶאֱמָ֑ן [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְנִגְדְּעָ֣ה וְנָפְלָ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a
וְנִכְרַת֙ [3] Pashta
הַמַּשָּׂ֣א אֲשֶׁר־עָלֶ֔יהָ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
דִּבֵּֽר׃ [1] Silluq

“it will give way, [3]
the peg [2]
 
that was fastened [2]
in a firm place; [1]
 
and it will break away and it will fall, [3]
and it will be cut off, [3]
the load that was on it, [2]
 
for the LORD, [2]
he has spoken.” [1]
