1 מַשָּׂ֖א [2] Tip'cha
מִדְבַּר־יָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
כְּסוּפ֤וֹת בַּנֶּ֙גֶב֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
לַחֲלֹ֔ף [2] Zaqef
 
מִמִּדְבָּ֣ר בָּ֔א [2] Munach Zaqef
מֵאֶ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
נוֹרָאָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

of the desert by the sea; [1]
 
as windstorms in the South [3]
sweep through, [2]
 
it comes from the desert, [2]
from a land [2]
to be feared. [1]
2 חָז֥וּת קָשָׁ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הֻגַּד־לִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
הַבּוֹגֵ֤ד ׀ בּוֹגֵד֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
וְהַשּׁוֹדֵ֣ד ׀ שׁוֹדֵ֔ד [2] Munach Zaqef
 
עֲלִ֤י עֵילָם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta

כׇּל־אַנְחָתָ֖הֿ [2] Tip'cha
הִשְׁבַּֽתִּי׃ [1] Silluq

the traitor betrays, [3]
and the plunderer plunders, [2]
 
go up O Elam, [3]
lay siege O Media, [2]
 
all of her groaning [2]
I have caused to cease. [1]

נַעֲוֵ֣יתִי מִשְּׁמֹ֔עַ [2] Munach Zaqef

pangs have taken hold of me, [2]
like the pangs [2]
of a woman in labor; [1]
 
I am bent over from hearing, [2]
I am terrified [2]

לַחֲרָדָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

ק֥וּמוּ הַשָּׂרִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha

הַֽעֲמֵ֣ד הַֽמְצַפֶּ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר יִרְאֶ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
יַגִּֽיד׃ [1] Silluq

“Go [3]
post a watchman, [2]
 
what he sees, [2]
let him declare. [1]
7 וְרָ֣אָה רֶ֗כֶב [3] Munach Revi'a
צֶ֚מֶד [3] Yetiv
פָּרָשִׁ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
רֶ֥כֶב חֲמ֖וֹר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
רֶ֣כֶב גָּמָ֑ל [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְהִקְשִׁ֥יב קֶ֖שֶׁב [2] Merkha Tip'cha
רַב־קָֽשֶׁב׃ [1] Silluq

a pair [3]
of horsemen, [2]
 
a rider on a donkey, [2]
a rider on a camel; [1]
 
then let him pay attention [2]
with great attentiveness.” [1]
8 וַיִּקְרָ֖א [2] Tip'cha
אַרְיֵ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
עַל־מִצְפֶּ֣ה ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh
אֲדֹנָ֗י [3] Revi'a
 
אָנֹכִ֞י [4] Gershayim
עֹמֵ֤ד תָּמִיד֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
יוֹמָ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וְעַ֨ל־מִשְׁמַרְתִּ֔י [2] Qadma Zaqef
אָנֹכִ֥י נִצָּ֖ב [2] Merkha Tip'cha
כׇּל־הַלֵּילֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq

“Upon the watchtower [4]

and at my post [2]

פָּרָשִׁ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּ֣עַן וַיֹּ֗אמֶר [3] Munach Revi'a
נָפְלָ֤ה נָֽפְלָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
בָּבֶ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
וְכׇל־פְּסִילֵ֥י אֱלֹהֶ֖יהָ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
שִׁבַּ֥ר לָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

“It is fallen, it is fallen, [3]
Babylon, [2]
 
and all the images of her gods [2]
are shattered to the ground. [1]

וּבֶן־גׇּרְנִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁ֣ר שָׁמַ֗עְתִּי [3] Munach Revi'a
מֵאֵ֨ת יְהֹוָ֧ה צְבָא֛וֹת [3] Qadma Darga Tevir
אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הִגַּ֥דְתִּי לָכֶֽם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

מַה־מִּלַּ֔יְלָה [2] Zaqef
 
שֹׁמֵ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
מַה־מִּלֵּֽיל׃ [1] Silluq

וְגַם־לָ֑יְלָה [1] Etnachta
 
אִם־תִּבְעָי֥וּן בְּעָ֖יוּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
שֻׁ֥בוּ אֵתָֽיוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

yet also it is night; [1]
 
If you would inquire, inquire. [2]

of Arabia; [1]
 
In the desert brush of Arabia [3]
you will stay for the night, [2]
 
O caravans [2]
of Dedanites. [1]
14 לִקְרַ֥את צָמֵ֖א [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הֵתָ֣יוּ מָ֑יִם [1] Munach Etnachta
 
יֹֽשְׁבֵי֙ [3] Pashta
אֶ֣רֶץ תֵּימָ֔א [2] Munach Zaqef
 
בְּלַחְמ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
קִדְּמ֥וּ נֹדֵֽד׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

bring water; [1]
 
O inhabitants [3]
of the land of Tema, [2]
 
with his bread [2]
meet the fugitive. [1]
15 כִּֽי־מִפְּנֵ֥י חֲרָב֖וֹת [2] Merkha Tip'cha
נָדָ֑דוּ [1] Etnachta
 
מִפְּנֵ֣י ׀ [4] Munach Legarmeh
חֶ֣רֶב נְטוּשָׁ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a

בְּע֤וֹד שָׁנָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
כִּשְׁנֵ֣י שָׂכִ֔יר [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְכָלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־כְּב֥וֹד קֵדָֽר׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

“Within a year, [3]
as the years of a hired laborer, [2]
 
then it will come to an end, [2]
all the glory of Kedar, [1]
17 וּשְׁאָ֧ר מִסְפַּר־קֶ֛שֶׁת [3] Darga Tevir
גִּבּוֹרֵ֥י בְנֵֽי־קֵדָ֖ר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
יִמְעָ֑טוּ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּ֛י [3] Tevir
יְהֹוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha
