חָנָ֣ה דָוִ֑ד [1] Munach Etnachta
 
סְפ֥וּ שָׁנָ֛ה [3] Merkha Tevir
עַל־שָׁנָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
חַגִּ֥ים יִנְקֹֽפוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

the city [2]
where David encamped; [1]
 
add year [3]
to year, [2]
let the feasts come around, [1]
2 וַהֲצִיק֖וֹתִי [2] Tip'cha
לַאֲרִיאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָיְתָ֤ה תַאֲנִיָּה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
וַאֲנִיָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְהָ֥יְתָה לִּ֖י [2] Merkha Tip'cha
כַּאֲרִיאֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 2 but I will bring distress [2]
to Ariel; [1]
 
and there will be lamenting [3]
and moaning, [2]
 
then will she be to me [2]
like Ariel? [1]
3 וְחָנִ֥יתִי כַדּ֖וּר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
עָלָ֑יִךְ [1] Etnachta
 
וְצַרְתִּ֤י עָלַ֙יִךְ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
מֻצָּ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
וַהֲקִימֹתִ֥י עָלַ֖יִךְ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מְצֻרֹֽת׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 3 And I will encamp all around [2]
against you; [1]
 
and I will lay siege against you [3]
of siege works, [2]
 
and I will raise up against you [2]
battle towers. [1]
4 וְשָׁפַלְתְּ֙ [3] Pashta
מֵאֶ֣רֶץ תְּדַבֵּ֔רִי [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וּמֵעָפָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
תִּשַּׁ֣ח אִמְרָתֵ֑ךְ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְֽ֠הָיָ֠ה [4] TelishaG
כְּא֤וֹב מֵאֶ֙רֶץ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
קוֹלֵ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef
 
וּמֵעָפָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
אִמְרָתֵ֥ךְ תְּצַפְצֵֽף׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

from the ground you will speak, [2]
 
and from the dust [2]
your speech will be bowed down; [1]
 
and it will be [4]
like a ghost out of the ground, [3]
your voice; [2]
 
and out of the dust [2]
your speech will whisper. [1]
5 וְהָיָ֛ה [3] Tevir
כְּאָבָ֥ק דַּ֖ק [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הֲמ֣וֹן זָרָ֑יִךְ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וּכְמֹ֤ץ עֹבֵר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
הֲמ֣וֹן עָרִיצִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְהָיָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לְפֶ֥תַע פִּתְאֹֽם׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

like fine dust, [2]
the multitude of your foes; [1]
 
and like chaff that blows away, [3]
the multitude of the ruthless, [2]
 
and it will happen [2]
in an instant, suddenly. [1]
6 מֵעִ֨ם יְהֹוָ֤ה צְבָאוֹת֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta
תִּפָּקֵ֔ד [2] Zaqef
 
בְּרַ֥עַם וּבְרַ֖עַשׁ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְק֣וֹל גָּד֑וֹל [1] Munach Etnachta
 
סוּפָה֙ [3] Pashta
וּסְעָרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְלַ֖הַב [2] Tip'cha
אֵ֥שׁ אוֹכֵלָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

you will be visited, [2]
 
with thunder and with earthquake [2]
and great noise; [1]
 
whirlwind [3]
and storm-wind, [2]
 
and the flame [2]
of a consuming fire. [1]

כַּֽחֲלוֹם֙ [3] Pashta
חֲז֣וֹן לַ֔יְלָה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
הֲמוֹן֙ [3] Pashta
כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
הַצֹּבְאִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
עַל־אֲרִיאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
וְכׇל־צֹבֶ֙יהָ֙ [3] Pashta
וּמְצֹ֣דָתָ֔הּ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְהַמְּצִיקִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq

like a dream, [3]
a vision of the night, [2]
 
the multitude [3]
of all the nations [2]
 
warring [2]
against Ariel; [1]
 
and all warring against her [3]
and her stronghold, [2]
 
and who bring distress [2]

כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ יַחֲלֹ֨ם הָרָעֵ֜ב [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh
וְהִנֵּ֣ה אוֹכֵ֗ל [3] Munach Revi'a
 
וְהֵקִיץ֮ [3] Zarqa
וְרֵיקָ֣ה נַפְשׁוֹ֒ [2] Munach Segol
 
וְכַאֲשֶׁ֨ר יַחֲלֹ֤ם הַצָּמֵא֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta
וְהִנֵּ֣ה שֹׁתֶ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְהֵקִיץ֙ [3] Pashta
וְהִנֵּ֣ה עָיֵ֔ף [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְנַפְשׁ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
שׁוֹקֵקָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
כֵּ֣ן יִֽהְיֶ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a
הֲמוֹן֙ [3] Pashta
כׇּל־הַגּוֹיִ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
הַצֹּבְאִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
עַל־הַ֥ר צִיּֽוֹן׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

like a hungry man dreaming [4]
and behold, he is eating, [3]
 
but he awakes [3]
with his hunger unsatisfied, [2]
 
or like a thirsty man dreaming [3]
and behold, he is drinking, [2]
 
but he awakes [3]
and behold, he is faint, [2]
 
with his soul [2]
thirsting; [1]
 
so it will be [3]
(with) the multitude [3]
of all the nations [2]
 
warring [2]
against Mount Zion. [1]
9 הִתְמַהְמְה֣וּ וּתְמָ֔הוּ [2] Munach Zaqef
הִשְׁתַּעַשְׁע֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וָשֹׁ֑עוּ [1] Etnachta
 
שָׁכְר֣וּ וְלֹא־יַ֔יִן [2] Munach Zaqef
נָע֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֥א שֵׁכָֽר׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

Blind yourselves [2]
and be blind; [1]
 
be drunk but not with wine, [2]
stagger [2]
but not with strong drink. [1]
10 כִּֽי־נָסַ֨ךְ עֲלֵיכֶ֤ם יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta
ר֣וּחַ תַּרְדֵּמָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וַיְעַצֵּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־עֵינֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
אֶת־הַנְּבִיאִ֛ים [3] Tevir
וְאֶת־רָאשֵׁיכֶ֥ם הַחֹזִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha
כִּסָּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

a spirit of deep sleep, [2]
 
and he has shut [2]
your eyes; [1]
 
the prophets [3]
and your heads, the seers, [2]
he has covered. [1]
11 וַתְּהִ֨י לָכֶ֜ם [4] Qadma Geresh
חָז֣וּת הַכֹּ֗ל [3] Munach Revi'a
 
כְּדִבְרֵי֮ [3] Zarqa
הַסֵּ֣פֶר הֶחָתוּם֒ [2] Munach Segol
 
אֲשֶֽׁר־יִתְּנ֣וּ אֹת֗וֹ [3] Munach Revi'a
אֶל־יוֹדֵ֥עַ *הספר **סֵ֛פֶר [3] Merkha Tevir
לֵאמֹ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
קְרָ֣א נָא־זֶ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְאָמַר֙ [3] Pashta
לֹ֣א אוּכַ֔ל [2] Munach Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י חָת֖וּם [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הֽוּא׃ [1] Silluq

the entire vision, [3]
 
like the words [3]
of a sealed scroll, [2]
 
which they give [3]
to one who knows writing [3]
saying, [2]
“Read this please;” [1]

“I can’t, [2]
 
for sealed [2]
it is,” [1]
12 וְנִתַּ֣ן הַסֵּ֗פֶר [3] Munach Revi'a
עַל֩ אֲשֶׁ֨ר לֹא־יָדַ֥ע סֵ֛פֶר [3] TelishaQ Qadma Merkha Tevir
לֵאמֹ֖ר [2] Tip'cha
קְרָ֣א נָא־זֶ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְאָמַ֕ר [2] ZaqefG
לֹ֥א יָדַ֖עְתִּי [2] Merkha Tip'cha
סֵֽפֶר׃ [1] Silluq

to one who doesn't know writing [3]
saying, [2]
“Read this please;” [1]
 
but he says, [2]
“I don't know [2]
writing.” [1]

יַ֚עַן [3] Yetiv
כִּ֤י נִגַּשׁ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
בְּפִ֤יו וּבִשְׂפָתָיו֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
כִּבְּד֔וּנִי [2] Zaqef
 
וְלִבּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
רִחַ֣ק מִמֶּ֑נִּי [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וַתְּהִ֤י יִרְאָתָם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
אֹתִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
מִצְוַ֥ת אֲנָשִׁ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מְלֻמָּדָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

“Since [3]
they draw near, [3]
these people, [2]
 
with their mouths and with their lips [3]
they honor me, [2]
 
and yet their hearts [2]
they have removed far from me; [1]
 
and it has been, their fear [3]
of me [2]
 
a commandment of men [2]
which has been taught, [1]
14 לָכֵ֗ן [3] Revi'a
הִנְנִ֥י יוֹסִ֛ף [3] Merkha Tevir
לְהַפְלִ֥יא אֶת־הָעָם־הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
הַפְלֵ֣א וָפֶ֑לֶא [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְאָֽבְדָה֙ [3] Pashta
חׇכְמַ֣ת חֲכָמָ֔יו [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וּבִינַ֥ת נְבֹנָ֖יו [2] Merkha Tip'cha
תִּסְתַּתָּֽר׃ [1] Silluq

behold, I once more [3]
will do a marvelous work among this people, [2]
a marvel and a wonder; [1]
 
and it will perish, [3]
the wisdom of their wise, [2]
 
and the discernment of their discerning, [2]

הַמַּעֲמִיקִ֥ים מֵֽיְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לַסְתִּ֣ר עֵצָ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְהָיָ֤ה בְמַחְשָׁךְ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
מַֽעֲשֵׂיהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ [2] Munach Zaqef
מִ֥י רֹאֵ֖נוּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וּמִ֥י יֹֽדְעֵֽנוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

those who go to great depths, from the LORD [2]
to hide a plan; [1]
 
and it is in a dark place, [3]
their works, [2]
 
and they say, [2]
“Who sees us?” [2]
and “Who knows us?” [1]
16 הַ֨פְכְּכֶ֔ם [2] Qadma Zaqef
אִם־כְּחֹ֥מֶר הַיֹּצֵ֖ר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
יֵחָשֵׁ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־יֹאמַ֨ר מַעֲשֶׂ֤ה לְעֹשֵׂ֙הוּ֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta
לֹ֣א עָשָׂ֔נִי [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְיֵ֛צֶר [3] Tevir
אָמַ֥ר לְיֹצְר֖וֹ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לֹ֥א הֵבִֽין׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

Like the clay, the potter, [2]
shall he be regarded; [1]
 
that the thing made should say of its maker, [3]
“He didn't make me,” [2]
 
or the thing formed [3]
say of the one who formed it, [2]
“He has no understanding”? [1]
17 הֲלוֹא־עוֹד֙ [3] Pashta
מְעַ֣ט מִזְעָ֔ר [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְשָׁ֥ב לְבָנ֖וֹן [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לַכַּרְמֶ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
וְהַכַּרְמֶ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
לַיַּ֥עַר יֵחָשֵֽׁב׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 17 Will it not be just [3]
a very little while, [2]
 
and Lebanon will be turned [2]
into a fruitful field; [1]
 
and the fruitful field, [2]
it will be regarded as a forest? [1]
18 וְשָׁמְע֧וּ בַיּוֹם־הַה֛וּא [3] Darga Tevir
הַחֵרְשִׁ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
דִּבְרֵי־סֵ֑פֶר [1] Etnachta
 
וּמֵאֹ֣פֶל וּמֵחֹ֔שֶׁךְ [2] Munach Zaqef
עֵינֵ֥י עִוְרִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha
תִּרְאֶֽינָה׃ [1] Silluq

the deaf, [2]
the words of a scroll; [1]
 
and out of gloom and out of darkness, [2]
the eyes of the blind, [2]
they will see. [1]
19 וְיָסְפ֧וּ עֲנָוִ֛ים [3] Darga Tevir
בַּֽיהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
שִׂמְחָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְאֶבְיוֹנֵ֣י אָדָ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef
בִּקְד֥וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha
יָגִֽילוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 19 And the meek will increase [3]
in the LORD, [2]
(their) joy; [1]
 
and the needy of mankind, [2]
in the Holy One of Israel, [2]
they will rejoice. [1]
20 כִּי־אָפֵ֥ס עָרִ֖יץ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְכָ֣לָה לֵ֑ץ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְנִכְרְת֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
כׇּל־שֹׁ֥קְדֵי אָֽוֶן׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 2 20 For the ruthless will come to an end, [2]
and the scoffer will be finished; [1]
 
and they will be cut off, [2]
all who watch to do evil, [1]
21 מַחֲטִיאֵ֤י אָדָם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
בְּדָבָ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
וְלַמּוֹכִ֥יחַ בַּשַּׁ֖עַר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
יְקֹשׁ֑וּן [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּטּ֥וּ בַתֹּ֖הוּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
צַדִּֽיק׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 3 2 2 21 Those who make a man out to be guilty [3]
with a word, [2]
 
and for one who reproves in the gate, [2]
they lay a trap; [1]
 
and with false testimony they deprive of justice [2]
the righteous. [1]

כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
אֶל־בֵּ֣ית יַעֲקֹ֔ב [2] Munach Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר פָּדָ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
אֶת־אַבְרָהָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
לֹֽא־עַתָּ֤ה יֵבוֹשׁ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
יַעֲקֹ֔ב [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א עַתָּ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
פָּנָ֥יו יֶֽחֱוָֽרוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

thus says the LORD [3]
to the house of Jacob, [2]
 
who redeemed [2]
Abraham; [1]
 
“He shall no longer be ashamed, [3]
Jacob, [2]
 
and no longer [2]
shall his face grow pale. [1]
23 כִּ֣י בִ֠רְאֹת֠וֹ [4] Munach TelishaG
יְלָדָ֞יו [4] Gershayim
מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה יָדַ֛י [3] Merkha Tevir
בְּקִרְבּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
 
יַקְדִּ֣ישֽׁוּ שְׁמִ֑י [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְהִקְדִּ֙ישׁוּ֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־קְד֣וֹשׁ יַֽעֲקֹ֔ב [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְאֶת־אֱלֹהֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל [2] Merkha Tip'cha
יַעֲרִֽיצוּ׃ [1] Silluq

his children, [4]
the work of my hands, [3]
in his midst, [2]
 
they will sanctify my name; [1]
 
and they will sanctify [3]
the Holy One of Jacob, [2]
 
and the God of Israel [2]
they will regard with awe. [1]
24 וְיָדְע֥וּ תֹֽעֵי־ר֖וּחַ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
בִּינָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
וְרוֹגְנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
יִלְמְדוּ־לֶֽקַח׃ [1] Silluq

1 2 2 24 And those who go astray in spirit will come to [2]
understanding; [1]
 
and those who murmur, [2]
they will learn instruction.” [1]
