ישעה 31 Isaiah 31
1 ה֣וֹי הַיֹּרְדִ֤ים מִצְרַ֙יִם֙ [3] Munach Mapakh Pashta
לְעֶזְרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef

עַל־סוּסִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
יִשָּׁעֵ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta

וַיִּבְטְח֨וּ עַל־רֶ֜כֶב [4] Qadma Geresh
כִּ֣י רָ֗ב [3] Munach Revi'a

וְעַ֤ל פָּרָשִׁים֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
כִּֽי־עָצְמ֣וּ מְאֹ֔ד [2] Munach Zaqef

וְלֹ֤א שָׁעוּ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
עַל־קְד֣וֹשׁ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל [2] Munach Zaqef

וְאֶת־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֥א דָרָֽשׁוּ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 4 3 2 3 2 1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt [3]
for help, [2]

on horses [2]
they are relying; [1]

and they are trusting in chariots [4]
since they are many [3]

and in horsemen [3]
since they are very mighty, [2]

but they do not look [3]
to the Holy One of Israel, [2]

and the LORD [2]
they do not seek! [1]
2 וְגַם־ה֤וּא חָכָם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
וַיָּ֣בֵא רָ֔ע [2] Munach Zaqef

וְאֶת־דְּבָרָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
לֹ֣א הֵסִ֑יר [1] Munach Etnachta

וְקָם֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־בֵּ֣ית מְרֵעִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef

וְעַל־עֶזְרַ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
פֹּ֥עֲלֵי אָֽוֶן׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 2 And yet he is wise [3]
and he brings disaster, [2]

and his words [2]
he does not take back; [1]

but he rises up [3]
against the house of evildoers, [2]

and against the helpers [2]
of those who work iniquity. [1]
3 וּמִצְרַ֤יִם אָדָם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
וְֽלֹא־אֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef

וְסוּסֵיהֶ֥ם בָּשָׂ֖ר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְלֹא־ר֑וּחַ [1] Etnachta

וַיהֹוָ֞ה [4] Gershayim
יַטֶּ֣ה יָד֗וֹ [3] Munach Revi'a

וְכָשַׁ֤ל עוֹזֵר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
וְנָפַ֣ל עָזֻ֔ר [2] Munach Zaqef

וְיַחְדָּ֖ו [2] Tip'cha
כֻּלָּ֥ם יִכְלָיֽוּן׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
ס
1 2 3 2 2 3 4 3 2 3 Now the Egyptians are men [3]
and not God, [2]

and their horses flesh [2]
and not spirit; [1]

when the LORD, [4]
he stretches out his hand, [3]

both the one who helps shall stumble [3]
and the one who is helped shall fall, [2]

and together [2]
they all shall perish. [1]

a company of shepherds, [2]

at their voice [3]
it will not be disturbed, [2]
