| ישעה 31 | Isaiah 31 | |||
[1] Merkha Silluq |
1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt [3] for help, [2] they are relying; [1] since they are many [3] since they are very mighty, [2] to the Holy One of Israel, [2] they do not seek! [1] |
|||
[1] Merkha Silluq |
2 And yet he is wise [3] and he brings disaster, [2] he does not take back; [1] against the house of evildoers, [2] of those who work iniquity. [1] |
|||
| 3 וּמִצְרַ֤יִם אָדָם֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וְֽלֹא־אֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef וְלֹא־ר֑וּחַ [1] Etnachta יַטֶּ֣ה יָד֗וֹ [3] Munach Revi'a וְנָפַ֣ל עָזֻ֔ר [2] Munach Zaqef כֻּלָּ֥ם יִכְלָיֽוּן׃ [1] Merkha Silluq ס |
3 Now the Egyptians are men [3] and not God, [2] and not spirit; [1] he stretches out his hand, [3] and the one who is helped shall fall, [2] they all shall perish. [1] § |

| 4 כִּ֣י כֹ֣ה אָֽמַר־יְהֹוָ֣ה ׀ אֵלַ֡י [4] Munach Munach Munach Pazer כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר יֶהְגֶּה֩ הָאַרְיֵ֨ה וְהַכְּפִ֜יר [4] Munach TelishaQ Qadma Geresh עַל־טַרְפּ֗וֹ [3] Revi'a מְלֹ֣א רֹעִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef לֹ֣א יֵחָ֔ת [2] Munach Zaqef לֹ֣א יַעֲנֶ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta יֵרֵד֙ [3] Pashta יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Munach Zaqef וְעַל־גִּבְעָתָֽהּ׃ [1] Silluq |
4 For thus says the LORD to me, [4] “Just as when a lion or a young lion growls [4] over its prey, [3] a company of shepherds, [2] it will not be disturbed, [2] it will not be upset; [1] he will come down, [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] and on its hill. [1] |
|||
[1] Merkha Silluq |
5 Like birds hovering, [2] he will protect, [3] the LORD of Hosts, [2] Jerusalem; [1] he will pass over and he will rescue it.” [1] |
|||
[1] Merkha Silluq |
6 Return [3] to the one (from) whom [3] they have deeply rebelled, [2] the children of Israel. [1] |
|||
7 For [3] in that day, [2] everyone [3] his idols of silver [2] of gold of his; [1] your own hands [2] of sin. [1] |
|||
[1] Merkha Silluq |
8 “Then Assyria will fall [3] by a sword, not of man, [2] it shall devour him; [1] from before the sword, [2] to forced labor they will be subjected. [1] |
|||
9 And his rock, [3] he will pass away from fear, [2] his princes;” [1] whose fire [3] is in Zion, [2] is in Jerusalem. [1] ¶ |
