1 בַּיָּמִ֣ים הָהֵ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef
חָלָ֥ה חִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
לָמ֑וּת [1] Etnachta
 
וַיָּב֣וֹא אֵ֠לָ֠יו [4] Munach TelishaG
יְשַֽׁעְיָ֨הוּ בֶן־אָמ֜וֹץ [4] Qadma Geresh
הַנָּבִ֗יא [3] Revi'a
 
וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֵלָ֜יו [4] Qadma Geresh
כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
צַ֣ו לְבֵיתֶ֔ךָ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
כִּ֛י [3] Tevir
מֵ֥ת אַתָּ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְלֹ֥א תִֽחְיֶֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

Hezekiah became sick [2]
to the point of death; [1]
 
so he came to him, [4]
Isaiah son of Amoz, [4]
the prophet, [3]
 
and he said to him, [4]
“Thus says the LORD, [3]
‘Set your house in order, [2]
 
for [3]
you are dying [2]
and you will not live.’ ” [1]

וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

his face [2]
to the wall; [1]
 
and he prayed [2]
to the LORD, [1]
3 וַיֹּאמַ֗ר [3] Revi'a
אָנָּ֤ה יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
 
זְכׇר־נָ֞א [4] Gershayim
אֵ֣ת אֲשֶׁ֧ר הִתְהַלַּ֣כְתִּי לְפָנֶ֗יךָ [3] Munach Darga Munach Revi'a
 
בֶּֽאֱמֶת֙ [3] Pashta
וּבְלֵ֣ב שָׁלֵ֔ם [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְהַטּ֥וֹב בְּעֵינֶ֖יךָ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
עָשִׂ֑יתִי [1] Etnachta
 
וַיֵּ֥בְךְּ חִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
בְּכִ֥י גָדֽוֹל׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

“I beg you O LORD, [3]
 
remember please [4]
how I have walked before you [3]
 
in faithfulness [3]
and with a whole heart, [2]
 
and what is good in your eyes [2]

and Hezekiah wept [2]

וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֶל־חִזְקִיָּ֗הוּ [3] Munach Revi'a
 
כֹּֽה־אָמַ֤ר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
אֱלֹהֵי֙ [3] Pashta
דָּוִ֣ד אָבִ֔יךָ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
שָׁמַ֙עְתִּי֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־תְּפִלָּתֶ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
רָאִ֖יתִי [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־דִּמְעָתֶ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta
 
הִנְנִי֙ [3] Pashta
יוֹסִ֣ף עַל־יָמֶ֔יךָ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
חֲמֵ֥שׁ עֶשְׂרֵ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
שָׁנָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

‘Thus says the LORD, [3]

“I have heard [3]
your prayer, [2]
 
I have seen [2]

will add to your days [2]
 
fifteen [2]
years. [1]
6 וּמִכַּ֤ף מֶֽלֶךְ־אַשּׁוּר֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
אַצִּ֣ילְךָ֔ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְאֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
הָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֑את [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְגַנּוֹתִ֖י [2] Tip'cha
עַל־הָעִ֥יר הַזֹּֽאת׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 6 And from the hand of the king of Assyria [3]
I will deliver you [2]
 
and [2]
this city; [1]
 
and I will defend [2]
this city. [1]
7 וְזֶה־לְּךָ֥ הָא֖וֹת [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מֵאֵ֣ת יְהֹוָ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta
 
אֲשֶׁר֙ [3] Pashta
יַעֲשֶׂ֣ה יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Munach Zaqef
 
אֶת־הַדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר דִּבֵּֽר׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 2 3 2 7 Now this shall be the sign to you [2]
from the LORD; [1]
 
that [3]
the LORD will do [2]
 
this thing [2]
that he has spoken. [1]
8 הִנְנִ֣י מֵשִׁ֣יב אֶת־צֵ֣ל הַֽמַּעֲל֡וֹת [4] Munach Munach Munach Pazer
אֲשֶׁ֣ר יָרְדָה֩ בְמַעֲל֨וֹת אָחָ֥ז בַּשֶּׁ֛מֶשׁ [3] Munach TelishaQ Qadma Merkha Tevir
אֲחֹרַנִּ֖ית [2] Tip'cha
עֶ֣שֶׂר מַעֲל֑וֹת [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וַתָּ֤שׇׁב הַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
עֶ֣שֶׂר מַעֲל֔וֹת [2] Munach Zaqef
 
בַּֽמַּעֲל֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁ֥ר יָרָֽדָה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
ס		 1 2 3 4 2 3 2 8 Behold I will turn back the shadow on the steps [4]
which has gone down with the sun on the sundial of Ahaz, [3]
backward [2]

So the sun went back [3]

מֵחׇלְיֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq

of Hezekiah king of Judah; [1]
 
after he had been sick [2]
and he had recovered [2]
from his sickness. [1]
10 אֲנִ֣י אָמַ֗רְתִּי [3] Munach Revi'a
בִּדְמִ֥י יָמַ֛י [3] Merkha Tevir
אֵלֵ֖כָה [2] Tip'cha
בְּשַׁעֲרֵ֣י שְׁא֑וֹל [1] Munach Etnachta
 
פֻּקַּ֖דְתִּי [2] Tip'cha
יֶ֥תֶר שְׁנוֹתָֽי׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 3 3 2 10 I, I said, [3]
“In the middle of my days [3]
I am to go [2]
into the gates of Sheol; [1]
 
I have been deprived of [2]
the rest of my years.” [1]
11 אָמַ֙רְתִּי֙ [3] Pashta
לֹא־אֶרְאֶ֣ה יָ֔הּ [2] Munach Zaqef
 
יָ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
בְּאֶ֣רֶץ הַחַיִּ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta
 
לֹא־אַבִּ֥יט אָדָ֛ם [3] Merkha Tevir
ע֖וֹד [2] Tip'cha
עִם־י֥וֹשְׁבֵי חָֽדֶל׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

“I will not see the LORD, [2]
 
the LORD [2]
in the land of the living; [1]
 
I will not look on people [3]
any longer [2]
among the inhabitants of the world. [1]
12 דּוֹרִ֗י [3] Revi'a
נִסַּ֧ע וְנִגְלָ֛ה [3] Darga Tevir
מִנִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
כְּאֹ֣הֶל רֹעִ֑י [1] Munach Etnachta
 
קִפַּ֨דְתִּי כָאֹרֵ֤ג חַיַּי֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta
מִדַּלָּ֣ה יְבַצְּעֵ֔נִי [2] Munach Zaqef
 
מִיּ֥וֹם עַד־לַ֖יְלָה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
תַּשְׁלִימֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq

it is pulled up and it is carried away [3]
from me, [2]
like a shepherd's tent; [1]
 
like a weaver I have rolled up my life, [3]
he cuts me off from the loom, [2]

כׇּל־עַצְמוֹתָ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
מִיּ֥וֹם עַד־לַ֖יְלָה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
תַּשְׁלִימֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq

like a lion [2]
 
so he breaks [2]
all my bones; [1]
 
from day until night [2]
you bring me to an end. [1]

כֵּ֣ן אֲצַפְצֵ֔ף [2] Munach Zaqef
 
אֶהְגֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
כַּיּוֹנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
דַּלּ֤וּ עֵינַי֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta
לַמָּר֔וֹם [2] Zaqef
 
אֲדֹנָ֖י [2] Tip'cha
עָֽשְׁקָה־לִּ֥י עׇרְבֵֽנִי׃ [1] Merkha Silluq

so I chirp, [2]
 
I moan [2]
like a dove; [1]
 
my eyes are weary [3]
looking upward, [2]
 
O Lord [2]
I am oppressed, be my security.” [1]
15 מָֽה־אֲדַבֵּ֥ר וְאָֽמַר־לִ֖י [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְה֣וּא עָשָׂ֑ה [1] Munach Etnachta
 
אֶדַּדֶּ֥ה כׇל־שְׁנוֹתַ֖י [2] Merkha Tip'cha
עַל־מַ֥ר נַפְשִֽׁי׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
1 2 2 15 What should I say, for he has spoken to me, [2]
and he, he has acted; [1]
 
I will walk carefully all my years [2]
because of the anguish of my soul. [1]
16 אֲדֹנָ֖י [2] Tip'cha
עֲלֵיהֶ֣ם יִֽחְי֑וּ [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וּלְכׇל־בָּהֶן֙ [3] Pashta
חַיֵּ֣י רוּחִ֔י [2] Munach Zaqef
 
וְתַחֲלִימֵ֖נִי [2] Tip'cha
וְהַחֲיֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq

by these things men live; [1]
 
and in all of them [3]
is the life of my spirit, [2]
 
O restore me to health, [2]
and let me live. [1]

כִּ֥י הִשְׁלַ֛כְתָּ [3] Merkha Tevir
אַחֲרֵ֥י גֵוְךָ֖ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
כׇּל־חֲטָאָֽי׃ [1] Silluq

I had great anguish; [1]
 
but you, [4]
you have loved my soul [3]
out of the pit of destruction, [2]
 
for you have thrown [3]
behind your back [2]
all my sins. [1]

לֹא־יְשַׂבְּר֥וּ יוֹרְדֵי־ב֖וֹר [2] Merkha Tip'cha
אֶל־אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

can it give thanks to you, [2]
(nor) death can it praise you; [1]
 
those who go down to the pit cannot hope [2]
for your faithfulness. [1]

כָּמ֣וֹנִי הַיּ֑וֹם [1] Munach Etnachta
 
אָ֣ב לְבָנִ֔ים [2] Munach Zaqef
יוֹדִ֖יעַ [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־אֲמִתֶּֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq

he, he shall praise you [2]
as I do this day; [1]
 
the father to the children, [2]
he makes known [2]
your faithfulness. [1]

will save me; [1]
 
so my songs we will play on stringed instruments [3]
all the days of our lives [2]
at the house of the LORD. [1]
21 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְשַֽׁעְיָ֔הוּ [2] Munach Zaqef
יִשְׂא֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
דְּבֶ֣לֶת תְּאֵנִ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta
 
וְיִמְרְח֥וּ עַֽל־הַשְּׁחִ֖ין [2] Merkha Tip'cha
וְיֶֽחִי׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 2 21 Now Isaiah had said, [2]
“Let them take [2]
a cake of figs; [1]
 
and let them apply it to the boil, [2]
and he will live.” [1]
22 וַיֹּ֥אמֶר חִזְקִיָּ֖הוּ [2] Merkha Tip'cha
מָ֣ה א֑וֹת [1] Munach Etnachta
 
כִּ֥י אֶעֱלֶ֖ה [2] Merkha Tip'cha
בֵּ֥ית יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Merkha Silluq
ס		 1 2 2 22 And Hezekiah had said, [2]
“What is the sign; [1]
 
that I will go up [2]
(to) the house of the LORD?” [1]
