1 For behold [4] the Lord GOD of Hosts [3] and from Judah, [2] and support; [1] bread, [2] supply of water, [1] |

2 mighty man [2] and man of war; [1] and diviner and elder, [1] |

| 3 שַׂר־חֲמִשִּׁ֖ים [2] Tip'cha וּנְשׂ֣וּא פָנִ֑ים [1] Munach Etnachta וַחֲכַ֥ם חֲרָשִׁ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha וּנְב֥וֹן לָֽחַשׁ׃ [1] Merkha Silluq |
3 captain of fifty [2] and man of rank; [1] and crafty magician, [2] and clever enchanter. [1] |

| 4 וְנָתַתִּ֥י נְעָרִ֖ים [2] Merkha Tip'cha שָׂרֵיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta יִמְשְׁלוּ־בָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
4 and I will set children [2] as their rulers; [1] they shall govern them. [1] |

5 And the people will be oppressed, [2] each one by another [2] and each one by his neighbor; [1] the child [3] to the aged, [2] to the honorable. [1] |

6 For a man shall take hold of his brother [3] in the house of his father, [2] a leader [2] you shall be to us; [1] shall be under your rule.” [1] |

7 He will protest in that day saying, [3] “I'm no healer, [2] is no bread [2] and no cloak; [1] a ruler of the people.” [1] |

8 For it has stumbled, [3] Jerusalem, [2] it is fallen; [1] are against the LORD, [2] the eyes of his glory. [1] |

9 The expression of their faces, [3] it bears witness against them, [2] like Sodom they display, [2] they do not hide it; [1] for they have brought on themselves [2] evil. [1] |

10 Tell the righteous [2] that (it is) good; [1] they shall eat. [1] |

11 Woe, [2] for the wicked it will be bad; [1] it shall be done to him. [1] |

12 My people, [3] children are their oppressors, [2] they rule over them; [1] your guides mislead you, [2] they destroy. [1] ¶ |

13 (He) arises to contend a case, [2] the LORD; [1] to judge the peoples. [1] |

14 The LORD, [3] he will enter into judgment [2] and their princes; [1] you have devoured the vineyard, [2] is in your houses. [1] |

16 And the LORD says, [3] “Since [3] they are haughty, [3] the daughters of Zion, [2] with outstretched necks [2] of the eyes; [1] they go, [2] they make a tinkling, [1] |

17 therefore the Lord will afflict with scabs [2] the crown of the head [2] of the daughters of Zion; [1] he will make bare their forehead.” [1] § |

19 earrings and bracelets [2] and veils, [1] |

| 20 הַפְּאֵרִ֤ים וְהַצְּעָדוֹת֙ [3] Mapakh Pashta וְהַקִּשֻּׁרִ֔ים [2] Zaqef וְהַלְּחָשִֽׁים׃ [1] Silluq |
20 headdresses and armlets [3] and sashes, [2] and amulets, [1] |

21 signet rings [2] and nose rings, [1] |

| 22 הַמַּֽחֲלָצוֹת֙ [3] Pashta וְהַמַּ֣עֲטָפ֔וֹת [2] Munach Zaqef וְהָחֲרִיטִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
22 festal robes [3] and capes, [2] and purses, [1] |

| 23 וְהַגִּלְיֹנִים֙ [3] Pashta וְהַסְּדִינִ֔ים [2] Zaqef וְהָרְדִידִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
23 and mirrors [3] and linen garments, [2] and veils. [1] |

| 24 וְהָיָה֩ תַ֨חַת בֹּ֜שֶׂם [4] TelishaQ Qadma Geresh מַ֣ק יִֽהְיֶ֗ה [3] Munach Revi'a וְתַ֨חַת מַעֲשֶׂ֤ה מִקְשֶׁה֙ [3] Qadma Mapakh Pashta קׇרְחָ֔ה [2] Zaqef מַֽחֲגֹ֣רֶת שָׂ֑ק [1] Munach Etnachta יֹֽפִי׃ [1] Silluq |
24 And it shall come to pass, instead of sweet spices [4] there will be rottenness, [3] and instead of well-set hair, [3] baldness, [2] a girding of sackcloth; [1] beauty. [1] |

26 And they shall lament and they shall mourn, [2] her gates; [1] on the ground she will sit. [1] |
