ישעה 53 Isaiah 53
1 מִ֥י הֶאֱמִ֖ין [2] Tip'cha
לִשְׁמֻעָתֵ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta

וּזְר֥וֹעַ יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
עַל־מִ֥י נִגְלָֽתָה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 2 1 Who has believed [2]
our report; [1]

and the arm of the LORD, [2]
to whom has it been revealed? [1]
2 וַיַּ֨עַל כַּיּוֹנֵ֜ק [4] Geresh
לְפָנָ֗יו [3] Revi'i

וְכַשֹּׁ֙רֶשׁ֙ [3 3] Pashta
מֵאֶ֣רֶץ צִיָּ֔ה [2] Zaqef

לֹא־תֹ֥אַר ל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֣א הָדָ֑ר [1] Etnachta

וְנִרְאֵ֥הוּ וְלֹֽא־מַרְאֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְנֶחְמְדֵֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 3 2 2 2 For he grew up like a tender shoot [4]
before him [3]

and like a root [3 3]
from dry ground, [2]

he had no form [2]
and no majesty; [1]

and when we saw him there was no beauty [2]
that we should desire him. [1]
3 נִבְזֶה֙ [3] Pashta
וַחֲדַ֣ל אִישִׁ֔ים [2] Zaqef

אִ֥ישׁ מַכְאֹב֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
וִיד֣וּעַ חֹ֑לִי [1] Etnachta

וּכְמַסְתֵּ֤ר פָּנִים֙ [3] Pashta
מִמֶּ֔נּוּ [2] Zaqef

נִבְזֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֥א חֲשַׁבְנֻֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 3 He was despised [3]
and rejected by men, [2]

a man of sorrows [2]
and acquainted with grief; [1]

and as a hiding of face [3]
from him, [2]

he was despised [2]
and we did not esteem him. [1]
4 אָכֵ֤ן חֳלָיֵ֙נוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
ה֣וּא נָשָׂ֔א [2] Zaqef

וּמַכְאֹבֵ֖ינוּ [2] Tip'cha
סְבָלָ֑ם [1] Etnachta

וַאֲנַ֣חְנוּ חֲשַׁבְנֻ֔הוּ [2] Zaqef

נָג֛וּעַ [3] Tevir
מֻכֵּ֥ה אֱלֹהִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וּמְעֻנֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 2 3 4 Surely our griefs [3 3]
he, he bore, [2]

and our sorrows, [2]
he carried them; [1]

yet we, we considered him [2]

stricken, [3]
struck by God, [2]
and afflicted. [1]
5 וְהוּא֙ [3] Pashta
מְחֹלָ֣ל מִפְּשָׁעֵ֔נוּ [2] Zaqef

מְדֻכָּ֖א [2] Tip'cha
מֵעֲוֺנֹתֵ֑ינוּ [1] Etnachta

מוּסַ֤ר שְׁלוֹמֵ֙נוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
עָלָ֔יו [2] Zaqef

וּבַחֲבֻרָת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
נִרְפָּא־לָֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 5 But he [3]
was pierced because of our transgressions, [2]

crushed [2]
because of our iniquities; [1]

the punishment that brought us peace [3 3]
was on him, [2]

and by his wounds [2]
we are healed. [1]
6 כֻּלָּ֙נוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
כַּצֹּ֣אן תָּעִ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef

אִ֥ישׁ לְדַרְכּ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
פָּנִ֑ינוּ [1] Etnachta

וַיהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
הִפְגִּ֣יעַ בּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef

אֵ֖ת [2] Tip'cha
עֲוֺ֥ן כֻּלָּֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 6 All of us, [3 3]
like sheep we have gone astray, [2]

each to his own way [2]
we have turned; [1]

and the LORD, [3]
he has laid on him [2]

-- [2]
the iniquity of us all. [1]
7 נִגַּ֨שׂ וְה֣וּא נַעֲנֶה֮ [3] Zarqa
וְלֹ֣א יִפְתַּח־פִּיו֒ [2] Segol

כַּשֶּׂה֙ [3] Pashta
לַטֶּ֣בַח יוּבָ֔ל [2] Zaqef

וּכְרָחֵ֕ל [2] ZaqefG
לִפְנֵ֥י גֹזְזֶ֖יהָ [2] Tip'cha
נֶאֱלָ֑מָה [1] Etnachta

וְלֹ֥א יִפְתַּ֖ח [2] Tip'cha
פִּֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 2 2 2 7 He was oppressed and he was afflicted, [3]
yet he did not open his mouth, [2]

like a lamb [3]
that is led to the slaughter, [2]

and like a sheep [2]
that before its shearers, [2]
it is silent; [1]

so he did not open [2]
his mouth. [1]
8 מֵעֹ֤צֶר וּמִמִּשְׁפָּט֙ [3] Pashta
לֻקָּ֔ח [2] Zaqef

וְאֶת־דּוֹר֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
מִ֣י יְשׂוֹחֵ֑חַ [1] Etnachta

כִּ֤י נִגְזַר֙ [3] Pashta
מֵאֶ֣רֶץ חַיִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef

מִפֶּ֥שַׁע עַמִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
נֶ֥גַע לָֽמוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 8 After oppression and after judgment [3]
he was taken away, [2]

and his generation, [2]
who will reckon it? [1]

For he was cut off [3]
from the land of the living, [2]

by the transgression of my people [2]
he was stricken. [1]
9 וַיִּתֵּ֤ן אֶת־רְשָׁעִים֙ [3] Pashta
קִבְר֔וֹ [2] Zaqef

וְאֶת־עָשִׁ֖יר [2] Tip'cha
בְּמֹתָ֑יו [1] Etnachta

עַ֚ל [3] Yetiv
לֹא־חָמָ֣ס עָשָׂ֔ה [2] Zaqef

וְלֹ֥א מִרְמָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּפִֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 9 And they assigned with the wicked [3]
his grave, [2]

and with a rich man [2]
in his death; [1]

though [3]
no violence had he done, [2]

and no deceit [2]
was in his mouth. [1]
10 וַיהֹוָ֞ה [4] Gershayim
חָפֵ֤ץ דַּכְּאוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
הֶחֱלִ֔י [2] Zaqef

אִם־תָּשִׂ֤ים אָשָׁם֙ [3] Pashta
נַפְשׁ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef

יִרְאֶ֥ה זֶ֖רַע [2] Tip'cha
יַאֲרִ֣יךְ יָמִ֑ים [1] Etnachta

וְחֵ֥פֶץ יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּיָד֥וֹ יִצְלָֽח׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 4 2 3 2 2 10 Yet the LORD, [4]
he was pleased to crush him, [3]
he caused him to suffer. [2]

If it is made a guilt offering, [3]
his soul, [2]

he will see offspring, [2]
he will prolong days; [1]

and the pleasure of the LORD, [2]
in his hand it will prosper. [1]
11 מֵעֲמַ֤ל נַפְשׁוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
יִרְאֶ֣ה יִשְׂבָּ֔ע [2] Zaqef

בְּדַעְתּ֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
יַצְדִּ֥יק צַדִּ֛יק [3] Tevir
עַבְדִּ֖י [2] Tip'cha
לָֽרַבִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta

וַעֲוֺנֹתָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
ה֥וּא יִסְבֹּֽל׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 3 3 2 11 After the anguish of his soul [3]
he will see, he will be satisfied, [2]

by his knowledge [3]
he will justify, the righteous one, [3]
my servant, [2]
the many; [1]

and their iniquities [2]
he, he will bear. [1]
12 לָכֵ֞ן [4] Gershayim
אֲחַלֶּק־ל֣וֹ בָרַבִּ֗ים [3] Revi'i

וְאֶת־עֲצוּמִים֮ [3] Zarqa
יְחַלֵּ֣ק שָׁלָל֒ [2] Segol

תַּ֗חַת [3] Revi'i
אֲשֶׁ֨ר הֶעֱרָ֤ה לַמָּ֙וֶת֙ [3 3] Pashta
נַפְשׁ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef

וְאֶת־פֹּשְׁעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
נִמְנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta

וְהוּא֙ [3] Pashta
חֵטְא־רַבִּ֣ים נָשָׂ֔א [2] Zaqef

וְלַפֹּשְׁעִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
יַפְגִּֽיעַ׃ [1] Silluq
פ
1 2 3 4 3 2 3 3 2 2 3 2 12 Therefore [4]
I will give him a portion among the many, [3]

and with the mighty [3]
he will divide the plunder, [2]

because [3]
he poured out to death [3 3]
his soul, [2]

and with transgressors [2]
he was counted; [1]

yet he, [3]
he bore the sin of many, [2]

and for the transgressors [2]
he makes intercession. [1]
