לֹא־קָצְרָ֥ה יַד־יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מֵהוֹשִׁ֑יעַ [1] Etnachta
 
וְלֹא־כָבְדָ֥ה אׇזְנ֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
מִשְּׁמֽוֹעַ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 1 Behold [3]
not too short is the hand of the LORD [2]
to save; [1]
 
and not too dull is his ear [2]
to hear. [1]
2 כִּ֤י אִם־עֲוֺנֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
הָי֣וּ מַבְדִּלִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
בֵּינֵכֶ֕ם [2] ZaqefG
לְבֵ֖ין [2] Tip'cha
אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
וְחַטֹּאותֵיכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
הִסְתִּ֧ירוּ פָנִ֛ים [3] Tevir
מִכֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
מִשְּׁמֽוֹעַ׃ [1] Silluq

and your sins, [3]
they have hidden (his) face [3]
from you, [2]

3 כִּ֤י כַפֵּיכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
נְגֹאֲל֣וּ בַדָּ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶצְבְּעוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
בֶּעָוֺ֑ן [1] Etnachta
 
שִׂפְתֽוֹתֵיכֶם֙ [3] Pashta
דִּבְּרוּ־שֶׁ֔קֶר [2] Zaqef
 
לְשׁוֹנְכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
עַוְלָ֥ה תֶהְגֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq

they are defiled with blood, [2]
 
and your fingers, [2]
with iniquity; [1]
 
your lips, [3]
they have spoken falsehood, [2]
 
your tongue, [2]
it mutters injustice. [1]
4 אֵין־קֹרֵ֣א בְצֶ֔דֶק [2] Zaqef
וְאֵ֥ין נִשְׁפָּ֖ט [2] Tip'cha
בֶּאֱמוּנָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
בָּט֤וֹחַ עַל־תֹּ֙הוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
וְדַבֶּר־שָׁ֔וְא [2] Zaqef
 
הָר֥וֹ עָמָ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
וְהוֹלֵ֥יד אָֽוֶן׃ [1] Silluq

and no one pleads [2]
in truth; [1]
 
they rely on emptiness [3 3]
and they speak worthlessness, [2]
 
they conceive mischief [2]
and they bring forth wickedness. [1]

בִּקֵּ֔עוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְקוּרֵ֥י עַכָּבִ֖ישׁ [2] Tip'cha
יֶאֱרֹ֑גוּ [1] Etnachta
 
הָאֹכֵ֤ל מִבֵּֽיצֵיהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
יָמ֔וּת [2] Zaqef
 
וְהַזּוּרֶ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
תִּבָּקַ֥ע אֶפְעֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq

they have hatched, [2]
 
and webs of a spider [2]
they weave; [1]
 
the one who eats of their eggs, [3]
he will die, [2]
 
and that which is crushed, [2]
it is hatched a snake. [1]
6 קֽוּרֵיהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
לֹֽא־יִהְי֣וּ לְבֶ֔גֶד [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א יִתְכַּסּ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
בְּמַעֲשֵׂיהֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
מַֽעֲשֵׂיהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
מַֽעֲשֵׂי־אָ֔וֶן [2] Zaqef
 
וּפֹ֥עַל חָמָ֖ס [2] Tip'cha
בְּכַפֵּיהֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

they won’t become garments, [2]
 
and people won't cover themselves [2]
with their works; [1]
 
their works [3]
are works of wickedness, [2]
 
and acts of violence [2]
are in their hands. [1]

לָרַ֣ע יָרֻ֔צוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וִֽימַהֲר֔וּ [2] Zaqef
לִשְׁפֹּ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
דָּ֣ם נָקִ֑י [1] Etnachta
 
מַחְשְׁבֹֽתֵיהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
מַחְשְׁב֣וֹת אָ֔וֶן [2] Zaqef
 
שֹׁ֥ד וָשֶׁ֖בֶר [2] Tip'cha
בִּמְסִלּוֹתָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

to evil they run, [2]
 
and they hasten [2]
to shed [2]
innocent blood; [1]
 
their thoughts [3]
are thoughts of wickedness, [2]
 
devastation and destruction [2]
are in their paths. [1]

לֹ֣א יָדָ֔עוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֵ֥ין מִשְׁפָּ֖ט [2] Tip'cha
בְּמַעְגְּלוֹתָ֑ם [1] Etnachta
 
נְתִיבֽוֹתֵיהֶם֙ [3] Pashta
עִקְּשׁ֣וּ לָהֶ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
כֹּ֚ל [3] Yetiv
דֹּרֵ֣ךְ בָּ֔הּ [2] Zaqef
 
לֹ֥א יָדַ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
שָׁלֽוֹם׃ [1] Silluq

they do not know, [2]
 
and there is no justice [2]
in their ways; [1]
 
their paths [3]
they have made crooked for themselves, [2]
 
whoever [3]
goes in them, [2]
 
he doesn’t know [2]
peace. [1]

מִמֶּ֔נּוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְלֹ֥א תַשִּׂיגֵ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha
צְדָקָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
נְקַוֶּ֤ה לָאוֹר֙ [3] Pashta
וְהִנֵּה־חֹ֔שֶׁךְ [2] Zaqef
 
לִנְגֹה֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
בָּאֲפֵל֥וֹת נְהַלֵּֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq

justice is far [3]
from us, [2]
 
and it doesn’t reach us, [2]
righteousness; [1]
 
we hope for light, [3]
but behold, darkness, [2]
 
for a gleam of light, [2]
(but) in gloom we walk. [1]
10 נְגַשְׁשָׁ֤ה כַֽעִוְרִים֙ [3] Pashta
קִ֔יר [2] Zaqef
 
וּכְאֵ֥ין עֵינַ֖יִם [2] Tip'cha
נְגַשֵּׁ֑שָׁה [1] Etnachta
 
כָּשַׁ֤לְנוּ בַֽצׇּהֳרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta
כַּנֶּ֔שֶׁף [2] Zaqef
 
בָּאַשְׁמַנִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
כַּמֵּתִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

a wall, [2]
 
and like those who have no eyes [2]
we grope; [1]
 
we stumble at noon [3 3]
like at twilight, [2]
 
among those who are healthy, [2]
like the dead. [1]
11 נֶהֱמֶ֤ה כַדֻּבִּים֙ [3] Pashta
כֻּלָּ֔נוּ [2] Zaqef
 
וְכַיּוֹנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
הָגֹ֣ה נֶהְגֶּ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
נְקַוֶּ֤ה לַמִּשְׁפָּט֙ [3] Pashta
וָאַ֔יִן [2] Zaqef
 
לִישׁוּעָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
רָחֲקָ֥ה מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq

all of us, [2]
 
and like doves [2]
we mournfully moan; [1]
 
we wait eagerly for justice [3]
but there is none, [2]
 
for deliverance [2]
(but) it is far from us. [1]
12 כִּֽי־רַבּ֤וּ פְשָׁעֵ֙ינוּ֙ [3 3] Pashta
נֶגְדֶּ֔ךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וְחַטֹּאותֵ֖ינוּ [2] Tip'cha
עָ֣נְתָה בָּ֑נוּ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־פְשָׁעֵ֣ינוּ אִתָּ֔נוּ [2] Zaqef
וַעֲוֺנֹתֵ֖ינוּ [2] Tip'cha
יְדַעֲנֽוּם׃ [1] Silluq

before you, [2]
 
and our sins, [2]
they testify against us; [1]
 
for our transgressions are with us, [2]
and our iniquities, [2]
we know them. [1]
13 פָּשֹׁ֤עַ וְכַחֵשׁ֙ [3] Pashta
בַּֽיהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וְנָס֖וֹג [2] Tip'cha
מֵאַחַ֣ר אֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּ [1] Etnachta
 
דַּבֶּר־עֹ֣שֶׁק וְסָרָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
הֹר֧וֹ וְהֹג֛וֹ [3] Tevir
מִלֵּ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
דִּבְרֵי־שָֽׁקֶר׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 2 3 13 We have transgressed and we have denied [3]
the LORD, [2]
 
and we have turned back [2]
from following our God; [1]
 
we have spoken oppression and rebellion, [2]
 
we have conceived and we have uttered [3]
from the heart [2]
words of falsehood. [1]
14 וְהֻסַּ֤ג אָחוֹר֙ [3] Pashta
מִשְׁפָּ֔ט [2] Zaqef
 
וּצְדָקָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מֵרָח֣וֹק תַּעֲמֹ֑ד [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־כָשְׁלָ֤ה בָֽרְחוֹב֙ [3] Pashta
אֱמֶ֔ת [2] Zaqef
 
וּנְכֹחָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לֹא־תוּכַ֥ל לָבֽוֹא׃ [1] Silluq

justice, [2]
 
and righteousness, [2]
from a distance it stands; [1]
 
for it has fallen in the street, [3]
truth, [2]
 
and honesty, [2]
it can’t enter. [1]

15 וַתְּהִ֤י הָאֱמֶת֙ [3] Pashta
נֶעְדֶּ֔רֶת [2] Zaqef
 
וְסָ֥ר מֵרָ֖ע [2] Tip'cha
מִשְׁתּוֹלֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
וַיַּ֧רְא יְהֹוָ֛ה [3] Tevir
וַיֵּ֥רַע בְּעֵינָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
כִּי־אֵ֥ין מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ [1] Silluq

lacking, [2]
 
and the one who turned aside from evil [2]
was plundered; [1]
 
and the LORD saw [3]
and it was displeasing in his eyes, [2]
that there was no justice. [1]
16 וַיַּרְא֙ [3] Pashta
כִּֽי־אֵ֣ין אִ֔ישׁ [2] Zaqef
 
וַיִּשְׁתּוֹמֵ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
כִּ֣י אֵ֣ין מַפְגִּ֑יעַ [1] Etnachta
 
וַתּ֤וֹשַֽׁע לוֹ֙ [3] Pashta
זְרֹע֔וֹ [2] Zaqef
 
וְצִדְקָת֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
הִ֥יא סְמָכָֽתְהוּ׃ [1] Silluq

that there was no one, [2]
 
and he was appalled [2]
that there was no intercessor; [1]
 
so it brought victory to him, [3]
his own arm, [2]
 
and his own righteousness [2]
it, it sustained him. [1]
17 וַיִּלְבַּ֤שׁ צְדָקָה֙ [3] Pashta
כַּשִּׁרְיָ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
וְכ֥וֹבַע יְשׁוּעָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
בְּרֹאשׁ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וַיִּלְבַּ֞שׁ [4] Gershayim
בִּגְדֵ֤י נָקָם֙ [3] Pashta
תִּלְבֹּ֔שֶׁת [2] Zaqef
 
וַיַּ֥עַט כַּמְעִ֖יל [2] Tip'cha
קִנְאָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

like a breastplate, [2]
 
and a helmet of salvation [2]
on his head; [1]
 
and he put on [4]
garments of vengeance [3]
for clothing, [2]
 
and he wrapped himself like a robe [2]
(with) zeal. [1]
18 כְּעַ֤ל גְּמֻלוֹת֙ [3] Pashta
כְּעַ֣ל יְשַׁלֵּ֔ם [2] Zaqef
 
חֵמָ֣ה לְצָרָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
גְּמ֖וּל [2] Tip'cha
לְאֹיְבָ֑יו [1] Etnachta
 
לָאִיִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
גְּמ֥וּל יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃ [1] Silluq

he will repay accordingly, [2]
 
wrath to his adversaries, [2]
recompense [2]
to his enemies; [1]
 
to the islands, [2]
recompense he will repay. [1]
19 וְיִֽרְא֤וּ מִֽמַּעֲרָב֙ [3] Pashta
אֶת־שֵׁ֣ם יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וּמִמִּזְרַח־שֶׁ֖מֶשׁ [2] Tip'cha
אֶת־כְּבוֹד֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
כִּֽי־יָב֤וֹא כַנָּהָר֙ [3] Pashta
צָ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
ר֥וּחַ יְהֹוָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
נֹ֥סְסָה בֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
1 2 3 2 2 3 2 19 So people will fear from the west, [3]
the name of the LORD, [2]
 
and from the rising of the sun, [2]
his glory; [1]
 
for he will come like a river, [3]
rushing, [2]
 
which the breath of the LORD, [2]
it drives along. [1]
20 וּבָ֤א לְצִיּוֹן֙ [3] Pashta
גּוֹאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef
 
וּלְשָׁבֵ֥י פֶ֖שַׁע [2] Tip'cha
בְּיַֽעֲקֹ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
נְאֻ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq

a Redeemer, [2]
 
and to those who repent of transgression [2]
in Jacob,” [1]

אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָלֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef
 
וּדְבָרַ֖י [2] Tip'cha
אֲשֶׁר־שַׂ֣מְתִּי בְּפִ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta
 
לֹֽא־יָמ֡וּשׁוּ [4] Pazer
מִפִּ֩יךָ֩ וּמִפִּ֨י זַרְעֲךָ֜ [4] Geresh
וּמִפִּ֨י זֶ֤רַע זַרְעֲךָ֙ [3] Pashta
אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
מֵעַתָּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq

or from the mouth of the offspring of your offspring,” [3]
