1 Behold [3] not too short is the hand of the LORD [2] to save; [1] to hear. [1] |

| 2 כִּ֤י אִם־עֲוֺנֹֽתֵיכֶם֙ [3] Pashta הָי֣וּ מַבְדִּלִ֔ים [2] Zaqef לְבֵ֖ין [2] Tip'cha אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֑ם [1] Etnachta הִסְתִּ֧ירוּ פָנִ֛ים [3] Tevir מִכֶּ֖ם [2] Tip'cha מִשְּׁמֽוֹעַ׃ [1] Silluq |
2 But your iniquities, [3] they have separated [2] from [2] your God; [1] they have hidden (his) face [3] from you, [2] from hearing. [1] |

| 3 כִּ֤י כַפֵּיכֶם֙ [3] Pashta נְגֹאֲל֣וּ בַדָּ֔ם [2] Zaqef בֶּעָוֺ֑ן [1] Etnachta דִּבְּרוּ־שֶׁ֔קֶר [2] Zaqef עַוְלָ֥ה תֶהְגֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
3 For your hands, [3] they are defiled with blood, [2] with iniquity; [1] they have spoken falsehood, [2] it mutters injustice. [1] |

4 No one calls in righteousness, [2] and no one pleads [2] in truth; [1] and they speak worthlessness, [2] and they bring forth wickedness. [1] |

5 Eggs of a viper [3] they have hatched, [2] they weave; [1] he will die, [2] it is hatched a snake. [1] |

6 Their webs, [3] they won’t become garments, [2] with their works; [1] are works of wickedness, [2] are in their hands. [1] |

7 Their feet, [3] to evil they run, [2] to shed [2] innocent blood; [1] are thoughts of wickedness, [2] are in their paths. [1] |

8 A way of peace [3] they do not know, [2] in their ways; [1] they have made crooked for themselves, [2] goes in them, [2] peace. [1] |

9 Therefore [3] justice is far [3] from us, [2] righteousness; [1] but behold, darkness, [2] (but) in gloom we walk. [1] |

| 10 נְגַשְׁשָׁ֤ה כַֽעִוְרִים֙ [3] Pashta קִ֔יר [2] Zaqef נְגַשֵּׁ֑שָׁה [1] Etnachta כַּנֶּ֔שֶׁף [2] Zaqef כַּמֵּתִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
10 We grope like the blind (for) [3] a wall, [2] we grope; [1] like at twilight, [2] like the dead. [1] |

| 11 נֶהֱמֶ֤ה כַדֻּבִּים֙ [3] Pashta כֻּלָּ֔נוּ [2] Zaqef הָגֹ֣ה נֶהְגֶּ֑ה [1] Etnachta וָאַ֔יִן [2] Zaqef רָחֲקָ֥ה מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
11 We growl like bears, [3] all of us, [2] we mournfully moan; [1] but there is none, [2] (but) it is far from us. [1] |

12 For our transgressions are many [3 3] before you, [2] they testify against us; [1] and our iniquities, [2] we know them. [1] |

13 We have transgressed and we have denied [3] the LORD, [2] from following our God; [1] from the heart [2] words of falsehood. [1] |

14 And it has been turned away backwards, [3] justice, [2] from a distance it stands; [1] truth, [2] it can’t enter. [1] § |

| 15 וַתְּהִ֤י הָאֱמֶת֙ [3] Pashta נֶעְדֶּ֔רֶת [2] Zaqef מִשְׁתּוֹלֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta וַיֵּ֥רַע בְּעֵינָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha כִּי־אֵ֥ין מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ [1] Silluq |
15 And truth was [3] lacking, [2] was plundered; [1] and it was displeasing in his eyes, [2] that there was no justice. [1] |

| 16 וַיַּרְא֙ [3] Pashta כִּֽי־אֵ֣ין אִ֔ישׁ [2] Zaqef כִּ֣י אֵ֣ין מַפְגִּ֑יעַ [1] Etnachta זְרֹע֔וֹ [2] Zaqef הִ֥יא סְמָכָֽתְהוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
16 And he saw [3] that there was no one, [2] that there was no intercessor; [1] his own arm, [2] it, it sustained him. [1] |

| 17 וַיִּלְבַּ֤שׁ צְדָקָה֙ [3] Pashta כַּשִּׁרְיָ֔ן [2] Zaqef בְּרֹאשׁ֑וֹ [1] Etnachta בִּגְדֵ֤י נָקָם֙ [3] Pashta תִּלְבֹּ֔שֶׁת [2] Zaqef קִנְאָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
17 And he put on righteousness [3] like a breastplate, [2] on his head; [1] garments of vengeance [3] for clothing, [2] (with) zeal. [1] |

| 18 כְּעַ֤ל גְּמֻלוֹת֙ [3] Pashta כְּעַ֣ל יְשַׁלֵּ֔ם [2] Zaqef גְּמ֖וּל [2] Tip'cha לְאֹיְבָ֑יו [1] Etnachta גְּמ֥וּל יְשַׁלֵּֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
18 According to deeds [3] he will repay accordingly, [2] recompense [2] to his enemies; [1] recompense he will repay. [1] |

| 19 וְיִֽרְא֤וּ מִֽמַּעֲרָב֙ [3] Pashta אֶת־שֵׁ֣ם יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֶת־כְּבוֹד֑וֹ [1] Etnachta צָ֔ר [2] Zaqef נֹ֥סְסָה בֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq |
19 So people will fear from the west, [3] the name of the LORD, [2] his glory; [1] rushing, [2] it drives along. [1] |

| 20 וּבָ֤א לְצִיּוֹן֙ [3] Pashta גּוֹאֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef בְּיַֽעֲקֹ֑ב [1] Etnachta יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
20 “And he will come to Zion, [3] a Redeemer, [2] in Jacob,” [1] the LORD. [1] |

| 21 וַאֲנִ֗י [3] Revi'i זֹ֣את בְּרִיתִ֤י אוֹתָם֙ [3] Pashta אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָלֶ֔יךָ [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁר־שַׂ֣מְתִּי בְּפִ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta מִפִּ֩יךָ֩ וּמִפִּ֨י זַרְעֲךָ֜ [4] Geresh וּמִפִּ֨י זֶ֤רַע זַרְעֲךָ֙ [3] Pashta אָמַ֣ר יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef וְעַד־עוֹלָֽם׃ [1] Silluq ס |
21 “And I, [3] this is my covenant with them,” [3] says the LORD, [2] who is on you, [2] which I have put in your mouth; [1] from your mouth or from the mouth of your offspring [4] or from the mouth of the offspring of your offspring,” [3] says the LORD, [2] and forever.” [1] ¶ |
