1 וַיְהִ֡י [4] Pazer בִּימֵ֣י אָ֠חָ֠ז [4 4] TelishaG בֶּן־יוֹתָ֨ם בֶּן־עֻזִּיָּ֜הוּ [4] Geresh מֶ֣לֶךְ יְהוּדָ֗ה [3] Revi'i וּפֶ֨קַח בֶּן־רְמַלְיָ֤הוּ מֶֽלֶךְ־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Pashta יְר֣וּשָׁלַ֔͏ִם [2] Zaqef עָלֶ֑יהָ [1] Etnachta לְהִלָּחֵ֥ם עָלֶֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq |
1 And it was, [4] in the days of Ahaz [4 4] the son of Jotham the son of Uzziah, [4] the king of Judah, [3] with Pekah the son of Remaliah the king of Israel, [3] to Jerusalem, [2] against it; [1] to overpower it. [1] |

2 וַיֻּגַּ֗ד [3] Revi'i לְבֵ֤ית דָּוִד֙ [3] Pashta לֵאמֹ֔ר [2] Zaqef עַל־אֶפְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta וּלְבַ֣ב עַמּ֔וֹ [2] Zaqef מִפְּנֵי־רֽוּחַ׃ [1] Silluq ס |
2 And it was told [3] to the house of David [3] saying, [2] with Ephraim;” [1] and the heart of his people, [2] with the wind. [1] § |

3 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהֹוָה֮ [3] Zarqa אֶֽל־יְשַֽׁעְיָ֒הוּ֒ [2 2] Segol לִקְרַ֣את אָחָ֔ז [2] Zaqef וּשְׁאָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha יָשׁ֣וּב בְּנֶ֑ךָ [1] Etnachta תְּעָלַת֙ [3] Pashta הַבְּרֵכָ֣ה הָעֶלְיוֹנָ֔ה [2] Zaqef שְׂדֵ֥ה כוֹבֵֽס׃ [1] Silluq |
3 Then the LORD said [3] to Isaiah, [2 2] to meet Ahaz, [2] and Shear- [2] Jashub your son, [1] of the conduit [3] of the upper pool, [2] of the field of the washer. [1] |

4 וְאָמַרְתָּ֣ אֵ֠לָ֠יו [4 4] TelishaG הִשָּׁמֵ֨ר וְהַשְׁקֵ֜ט [4] Geresh אַל־תִּירָ֗א [3] Revi'i אַל־יֵרַ֔ךְ [2] Zaqef הָעֲשֵׁנִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha הָאֵ֑לֶּה [1] Etnachta רְצִ֥ין וַאֲרָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha וּבֶן־רְמַלְיָֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq |
4 And say to him, [4 4] ‘Be careful and keep calm; [4] do not be afraid; [3] let it not be faint; [2] smoldering, [2] these; [1] of Rezin and Syria, [2] and the son of Remaliah. [1] |

5 יַ֗עַן [3] Revi'i כִּֽי־יָעַ֥ץ עָלֶ֛יךָ [3] Tevir אֲרָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha רָעָ֑ה [1] Etnachta לֵאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
5 For [3] it has plotted against you [3] Syria, [2] evil; [1] saying, [1] |

6 נַעֲלֶ֤ה בִֽיהוּדָה֙ [3] Pashta וּנְקִיצֶ֔נָּה [2] Zaqef אֵלֵ֑ינוּ [1] Etnachta בְּתוֹכָ֔הּ [2] Zaqef בֶּן־טָֽבְאַֽל׃ [1] Silluq פ |
6 “Let us go up against Judah [3] and let us demolish it, [2] among ourselves; [1] within it, [2] the son of Tabeel.” [1] § |

7 כֹּ֥ה אָמַ֖ר [2] Tip'cha אֲדֹנָ֣י יֱהֹוִ֑ה [1] Etnachta וְלֹ֥א תִֽהְיֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
7 Thus he says, [2] the Lord GOD, [1] and it shall not happen.” [1] |

8 כִּ֣י רֹ֤אשׁ אֲרָם֙ [3] Pashta דַּמֶּ֔שֶׂק [2] Zaqef רְצִ֑ין [1] Etnachta שִׁשִּׁ֤ים וְחָמֵשׁ֙ [3] Pashta שָׁנָ֔ה [2] Zaqef מֵעָֽם׃ [1] Silluq |
8 For the head of Syria [3] is Damascus, [2] is Rezin. [1] sixty and five [3] years, [2] from being a people. [1] |

9 וְרֹ֤אשׁ אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ [3 3] Pashta שֹׁמְר֔וֹן [2] Zaqef בֶּן־רְמַלְיָ֑הוּ [1] Etnachta לֹ֣א תַאֲמִ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef לֹ֥א תֵאָמֵֽנוּ׃ [1] Silluq פ |
9 And the head of Ephraim [3 3] is Samaria, [2] is the son of Remaliah. [1] you will not believe, [2] you will not be established.’ ” [1] § |

10 וַיּ֣וֹסֶף יְהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef דַּבֵּ֥ר אֶל־אָחָ֖ז [2] Tip'cha לֵאמֹֽר׃ [1] Silluq |
10 And again the LORD [2] spoke to Ahaz [2] saying, [1] |

11 שְׁאַל־לְךָ֣ א֔וֹת [2] Zaqef מֵעִ֖ם [2] Tip'cha יְהֹוָ֣ה אֱלֹהֶ֑יךָ [1] Etnachta א֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha הַגְבֵּ֥הַּ לְמָֽעְלָה׃ [1] Silluq |
11 “Ask for yourself a sign [2] from [2] the LORD your God; [1] or [2] in the highest heights.” [1] |

12 וַיֹּ֖אמֶר [2] Tip'cha אָחָ֑ז [1] Etnachta אֶת־יְהֹוָֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
12 But he said, [2] Ahaz, [1] the LORD.” [1] |

13 וַיֹּ֕אמֶר [2] ZaqefG שִׁמְעוּ־נָ֖א [2] Tip'cha בֵּ֣ית דָּוִ֑ד [1] Etnachta הַלְא֣וֹת אֲנָשִׁ֔ים [2] Zaqef גַּ֥ם אֶת־אֱלֹהָֽי׃ [1] Silluq |
13 And he (Isaiah) said, [2] “Listen now [2] O house of David. [1] to try the patience of men? [2] also of my God? [1] |

14 לָ֠כֵ֠ן [4 4] TelishaG יִתֵּ֨ן אֲדֹנָ֥י ה֛וּא [3] Tevir לָכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha א֑וֹת [1] Etnachta הָרָה֙ [3] Pashta וְיֹלֶ֣דֶת בֵּ֔ן [2] Zaqef עִמָּ֥נוּ אֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq |
14 Therefore [4 4] the Lord himself will give [3] to you [2] a sign. [1] will conceive [3] and will bear a son, [2] Immanuel. [1] |

15 חֶמְאָ֥ה וּדְבַ֖שׁ [2] Tip'cha יֹאכֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta מָא֥וֹס בָּרָ֖ע [2] Tip'cha וּבָח֥וֹר בַּטּֽוֹב׃ [1] Silluq |
15 Curds and honey [2] he shall eat, [1] to reject the evil [2] and to choose the good. [1] |

16 כִּ֠י [4] TelishaG בְּטֶ֨רֶם יֵדַ֥ע הַנַּ֛עַר [3] Tevir מָאֹ֥ס בָּרָ֖ע [2] Tip'cha וּבָחֹ֣ר בַּטּ֑וֹב [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁ֣ר אַתָּ֣ה קָ֔ץ [2] Zaqef שְׁנֵ֥י מְלָכֶֽיהָ׃ [1] Silluq |
16 But [4] before the child knows enough [3] to reject the evil [2] and to choose the good, [1] which brings you dread, [2] its two kings. [1] |

17 יָבִ֨יא יְהֹוָ֜ה [4] Geresh עָלֶ֗יךָ [3] Revi'i וְעַל־בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֒יךָ֒ [2 2] Segol אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא־בָ֔אוּ [2] Zaqef מֵעַ֣ל יְהוּדָ֑ה [1] Etnachta מֶ֥לֶךְ אַשּֽׁוּר׃ [1] Silluq פ |
17 The LORD will bring [4] on you, [3] and on the house of your father, [2 2] which are unlike any [2] from Judah; [1] the king of Assyria. [1] ¶ |

18 וְהָיָ֣ה ׀ [4] Legarmeh בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא [3] Revi'i לַזְּב֔וּב [2] Zaqef יְאֹרֵ֣י מִצְרָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta אֲשֶׁ֖ר [2] Tip'cha בְּאֶ֥רֶץ אַשּֽׁוּר׃ [1] Silluq |
18 And it will be [4] in that day, [3] for the fly, [2] of the rivers of Egypt; [1] which [2] is in the land of Assyria. [1] |

19 וּבָ֨אוּ וְנָח֤וּ כֻלָּם֙ [3] Pashta בְּנַחֲלֵ֣י הַבַּתּ֔וֹת [2] Zaqef הַסְּלָעִ֑ים [1] Etnachta הַנַּ֣עֲצוּצִ֔ים [2] Zaqef הַנַּֽהֲלֹלִֽים׃ [1] Silluq |
19 And they will come and they will all settle [3] in the steep ravines, [2] of the rocks, [1] the thornbushes, [2] the watering places. [1] |

20 בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֡וּא [4] Pazer יְגַלַּ֣ח אֲדֹנָי֩ בְּתַ֨עַר הַשְּׂכִירָ֜ה [4] Geresh בְּעֶבְרֵ֤י נָהָר֙ [3] Pashta בְּמֶ֣לֶךְ אַשּׁ֔וּר [2] Zaqef וְשַׂ֣עַר הָרַגְלָ֑יִם [1] Etnachta תִּסְפֶּֽה׃ [1] Silluq פ |
20 In that day [4] the Lord will shave with a razor hired [4] from beyond the River; [3] with the king of Assyria; [2] and the hair of the feet; [1] it will sweep away. [1] § |

21 וְהָיָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֑וּא [1] Etnachta עֶגְלַ֥ת בָּקָ֖ר [2] Tip'cha וּשְׁתֵּי־צֹֽאן׃ [1] Silluq |
21 And it will be [2] in that day, [1] a young cow, [2] and two sheep. [1] |

22 וְהָיָ֗ה [3] Revi'i מֵרֹ֛ב [3] Tevir עֲשׂ֥וֹת חָלָ֖ב [2] Tip'cha יֹאכַ֣ל חֶמְאָ֑ה [1] Etnachta יֹאכֵ֔ל [2] Zaqef בְּקֶ֥רֶב הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq ס |
22 And it will be [3] from the abundance [3] of giving milk, [2] he shall eat curds; [1] they will eat, [2] in the land. [1] § |

23 וְהָיָה֙ [3] Pashta בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֔וּא [2] Zaqef אֲשֶׁ֧ר יִֽהְיֶה־שָּׁ֛ם [3] Tevir אֶ֥לֶף גֶּ֖פֶן [2] Tip'cha בְּאֶ֣לֶף כָּ֑סֶף [1] Etnachta יִֽהְיֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq |
23 And it will be [3] in that day, [2] where there were [3] a thousand vines [2] for a thousand silver shekels; [1] there will be. [1] |

24 בַּחִצִּ֥ים וּבַקֶּ֖שֶׁת [2] Tip'cha יָ֣בוֹא שָׁ֑מָּה [1] Etnachta תִּֽהְיֶ֥ה כׇל־הָאָֽרֶץ׃ [1] Silluq |
24 With arrows and with bow [2] men will go there, [1] all the land will be. [1] |

25 וְכֹ֣ל הֶהָרִ֗ים [3] Revi'i אֲשֶׁ֤ר בַּמַּעְדֵּר֙ [3] Pashta יֵעָ֣דֵר֔וּן [2] Zaqef יִרְאַ֖ת [2] Tip'cha שָׁמִ֣יר וָשָׁ֑יִת [1] Etnachta לְמִשְׁלַ֣ח שׁ֔וֹר [2] Zaqef שֶֽׂה׃ [1] Silluq פ |
25 And all the hills [3] which with the hoe [3] they were cultivated, [2] for fear [2] of thorns and bushes; [1] pastureland of oxen, [2] of sheep.” [1] ¶ |
