1 וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יְהֹוָה֙ [3] Pashta
אֵלַ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
קַח־לְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
גִּלָּי֣וֹן גָּד֑וֹל [1] Etnachta
 
וּכְתֹ֤ב עָלָיו֙ [3] Pashta
בְּחֶ֣רֶט אֱנ֔וֹשׁ [2] Zaqef
 
לְמַהֵ֥ר שָׁלָ֖ל [2] Tip'cha
חָ֥שׁ בַּֽז׃ [1] Silluq

to me, [2]
 
“Take yourself [2]
a large tablet, [1]
 
and write on it [3]
with a man’s stylus, [2]

עֵדִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
נֶֽאֱמָנִ֑ים [1] Etnachta

אוּרִיָּ֣ה הַכֹּהֵ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
וְאֶת־זְכַרְיָ֖הוּ [2] Tip'cha
בֶּ֥ן יְבֶרֶכְיָֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq

יִשָּׂ֣א ׀ [4] Legarmeh
אֶת־חֵ֣יל דַּמֶּ֗שֶׂק [3] Revi'i
 
וְאֵת֙ [3] Pashta
שְׁלַ֣ל שֹֽׁמְר֔וֹן [2] Zaqef
 
לִפְנֵ֖י [2] Tip'cha
מֶ֥לֶךְ אַשּֽׁוּר׃ [1] Silluq

מֵ֣י הַשִּׁלֹ֔חַ [2] Zaqef
 
הַהֹלְכִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
לְאַ֑ט [1] Etnachta
 
וּמְשׂ֥וֹשׂ אֶת־רְצִ֖ין [2] Tip'cha
וּבֶן־רְמַלְיָֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq

הִנֵּ֣ה אֲדֹנָי֩ מַעֲלֶ֨ה עֲלֵיהֶ֜ם [4] Geresh

הָעֲצוּמִים֙ [3] Pashta
וְהָ֣רַבִּ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
אֶת־מֶ֥לֶךְ אַשּׁ֖וּר [2] Tip'cha
וְאֶת־כׇּל־כְּבוֹד֑וֹ [1] Etnachta
 
וְעָלָה֙ [3] Pashta
עַל־כׇּל־אֲפִיקָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
וְהָלַ֖ךְ [2] Tip'cha
עַל־כׇּל־גְּדוֹתָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq

שָׁטַ֣ף וְעָבַ֔ר [2] Zaqef
 
עַד־צַוָּ֖אר [2] Tip'cha
יַגִּ֑יעַ [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָיָה֙ [3] Pashta
מֻטּ֣וֹת כְּנָפָ֔יו [2] Zaqef
 
מְלֹ֥א רֹחַב־אַרְצְךָ֖ [2] Tip'cha
עִמָּ֥נוּ אֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq

it will overflow and it will pass through; [2]
 
to the neck [2]
it will reach; [1]
 
and it will be, [3]
the spreading of its wings [2]
 
over all the breadth of your land, [2]

וְהַֽאֲזִ֔ינוּ [2] Zaqef

מֶרְחַקֵּי־אָ֑רֶץ [1] Etnachta
 
הִתְאַזְּר֣וּ וָחֹ֔תּוּ [2] Zaqef
הִֽתְאַזְּר֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וָחֹֽתּוּ׃ [1] Silluq

and be shattered! [2]
 
And listen, [2]
all [2]
distant places of the earth; [1]

10 עֻ֥צוּ עֵצָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְתֻפָ֑ר [1] Etnachta
 
דַּבְּר֤וּ דָבָר֙ [3] Pashta
וְלֹ֣א יָק֔וּם [2] Zaqef
 
כִּ֥י עִמָּ֖נוּ [2] Tip'cha
אֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq

but it will be frustrated; [1]
 
speak a word, [3]
but it will not stand, [2]
 
for with us [2]

בְּדֶ֥רֶךְ הָֽעָם־הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha

with his strong hand upon me, [1]
 
warning me [2]
 
not to follow [3]
in the way of this people, [2]
saying, [1]
12 לֹֽא־תֹאמְר֣וּן קֶ֔שֶׁר [2] Zaqef
 
לְכֹ֧ל אֲשֶׁר־יֹאמַ֛ר [3] Tevir
הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
קָ֑שֶׁר [1] Etnachta
 
וְאֶת־מוֹרָא֥וֹ לֹא־תִֽירְא֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וְלֹ֥א תַעֲרִֽיצוּ׃ [1] Silluq

all that they are calling, [3]
these people, [2]
conspiracy; [1]
 
do not fear what they fear, [2]
and do not dread it. [1]
13 אֶת־יְהֹוָ֥ה צְבָא֖וֹת [2] Tip'cha
אֹת֣וֹ תַקְדִּ֑ישׁוּ [1] Etnachta
 
וְה֥וּא מוֹרַאֲכֶ֖ם [2] Tip'cha
וְה֥וּא מַעֲרִֽצְכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq

is the one you are to regard as holy. [1]
 
He is the one you are to fear; [2]
he is the one you are to dread. [1]
14 וְהָיָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
לְמִקְדָּ֑שׁ [1] Etnachta
 
וּלְאֶ֣בֶן נֶ֠גֶף [4] TelishaG
וּלְצ֨וּר מִכְשׁ֜וֹל [4] Geresh
לִשְׁנֵ֨י בָתֵּ֤י יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ [3] Pashta
לְפַ֣ח וּלְמוֹקֵ֔שׁ [2] Zaqef
 
לְיוֹשֵׁ֖ב [2] Tip'cha
יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ [1] Silluq

a sanctuary; [1]
 
but (he will be) a stone that causes men to stumble, [4]
and a rock that makes them fall [4]
for both houses of Israel; [3]
(he will be) a trap and a snare; [2]
 
for the people [2]
of Jerusalem. [1]
15 וְכָ֥שְׁלוּ בָ֖ם [2] Tip'cha

וְנָפְל֣וּ וְנִשְׁבָּ֔רוּ [2] Zaqef
וְנוֹקְשׁ֖וּ [2] Tip'cha
וְנִלְכָּֽדוּ׃ [1] Silluq

many of them; [1]
 
they will fall and be broken; [2]
they will be snared [2]
and they will be captured.” [1]

the testimony; [1]
 
seal up the law [2]
among my disciples. [1]
17 וְחִכִּ֙יתִי֙ [3 3] Pashta
לַיהֹוָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
הַמַּסְתִּ֥יר פָּנָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
מִבֵּ֣ית יַעֲקֹ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
וְקִוֵּ֖יתִי־לֽוֹ׃ [2 1] Silluq

for the LORD, [2]
 
who is hiding his face [2]
from the house of Jacob; [1]

לְאֹת֥וֹת וּלְמוֹפְתִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל [1] Etnachta
 
מֵעִם֙ [3] Pashta
יְהֹוָ֣ה צְבָא֔וֹת [2] Zaqef
 
הַשֹּׁכֵ֖ן [2] Tip'cha
בְּהַ֥ר צִיּֽוֹן׃ [1] Silluq

we are signs and symbols [2]

19 וְכִֽי־יֹאמְר֣וּ אֲלֵיכֶ֗ם [3] Revi'i
דִּרְשׁ֤וּ אֶל־הָֽאֹבוֹת֙ [3] Pashta
וְאֶל־הַיִּדְּעֹנִ֔ים [2] Zaqef
 
הַֽמְצַפְצְפִ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
וְהַמַּהְגִּ֑ים [1] Etnachta
 
הֲלוֹא־עַם֙ [3] Pashta
אֶל־אֱלֹהָ֣יו יִדְרֹ֔שׁ [2] Zaqef
 
בְּעַ֥ד הַחַיִּ֖ים [2] Tip'cha
אֶל־הַמֵּתִֽים׃ [1] Silluq

to consult mediums [3]
and spiritists, [2]
 
who whisper [2]
and mutter; [1]
 
should not a people [3]
inquire of their God? [2]
 
On behalf of the living [2]
why consult the dead? [1]
20 לְתוֹרָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
וְלִתְעוּדָ֑ה [1] Etnachta
 
אִם־לֹ֤א יֹֽאמְרוּ֙ [3] Pashta
כַּדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֵֽין־ל֖וֹ [2] Tip'cha
שָֽׁחַר׃ [1] Silluq

and to the testimony! [1]
 
If they do not speak [3]
according to this word, [2]
 
they have no light [2]
of dawn. [1]
21 וְעָ֥בַר בָּ֖הּ [2] Tip'cha
נִקְשֶׁ֣ה וְרָעֵ֑ב [1] Etnachta
 
וְהָיָ֨ה כִֽי־יִרְעַ֜ב [4] Geresh
וְהִתְקַצַּ֗ף [3] Revi'i
 
וְקִלֵּ֧ל בְּמַלְכּ֛וֹ [3] Tevir
וּבֵאלֹהָ֖יו [2] Tip'cha
 
וּפָנָ֥ה לְמָֽעְלָה׃ [1] Silluq

distressed and hungry; [1]
 
when they are famished [4]
they will become enraged, [3]
 
and they will curse their king [3]
and their God, [2]
 
turning to look upward. [1]
22 וְאֶל־אֶ֖רֶץ [2] Tip'cha
יַבִּ֑יט [1] Etnachta
 
וְהִנֵּ֨ה צָרָ֤ה וַחֲשֵׁכָה֙ [3] Pashta
מְע֣וּף צוּקָ֔ה [2] Zaqef
 
וַאֲפֵלָ֖ה [2] Tip'cha
מְנֻדָּֽח׃ [1] Silluq

they will look; [1]
 
and see only distress and darkness [3]
of fearful gloom, [2]
 
and into utter darkness [2]
they will be thrust. [1]

לַאֲשֶׁ֣ר מוּצָ֣ק לָהּ֒ [2] Segol
 
כָּעֵ֣ת הָרִאשׁ֗וֹן [3] Revi'i
 
הֵקַ֞ל [4] Gershayim
אַ֤רְצָה זְבֻלוּן֙ [3] Pashta
וְאַ֣רְצָה נַפְתָּלִ֔י [2] Zaqef
 
וְהָאַחֲר֖וֹן [2] Tip'cha
הִכְבִּ֑יד [1] Etnachta
 
דֶּ֤רֶךְ הַיָּם֙ [3] Pashta
עֵ֣בֶר הַיַּרְדֵּ֔ן [2] Zaqef
 
גְּלִ֖יל [2] Tip'cha
הַגּוֹיִֽם׃ [1] Silluq

for those who were in distress. [2]

the land of Zebulun [3]
and the land of Naphtali; [2]

beyond the Jordan, [2]
