1 “My soul is weary [3]  of my life. [2] my complaint. [2] in the bitterness of my soul. [1]  |

| 2 אֹמַ֣ר אֶל־אֱ֭לוֹהַּ [3] Dechi  אַל־תַּרְשִׁיעֵ֑נִי [2] Etnachta עַ֣ל מַה־תְּרִיבֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
2 I will say to God, [3]  ‘Do not condemn me as guilty; [2] why you contend with me. [1]  |

| 3 הֲט֤וֹב לְךָ֨ ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh  כִּֽי־תַעֲשֹׁ֗ק [3] Revi'i יְגִ֣יעַ כַּפֶּ֑יךָ [2] Etnachta הוֹפָֽעְתָּ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
3 Is it good to you [4]  that you should oppress, [3] the work of your hands; [2] you should smile? [1]  |

| 4 הַעֵינֵ֣י בָשָׂ֣ר [3] VDechi  לָ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta תִּרְאֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq  | 
4 Eyes of flesh [3]  do you have; [2] do you see? [1]  |

| 5 הֲכִימֵ֣י אֱנ֣וֹשׁ [3] VDechi  יָמֶ֑יךָ [2] Etnachta כִּ֣ימֵי גָֽבֶר׃ [1] Silluq  | 
5 Like the days of a person [3]  are your days; [2] like the days of a man, [1]  |

| 6 כִּֽי־תְבַקֵּ֥שׁ לַעֲוֺנִ֑י [2] Etnachta  | 
6 that you seek out my iniquity; [2]  |

| 7 עַֽל־דַּ֭עְתְּךָ [3] Dechi  כִּי־לֹ֣א אֶרְשָׁ֑ע [2] Etnachta מַצִּֽיל׃ [1] Silluq  | 
7 Though you know [3]  that I am not guilty; [2] can deliver. [1]  |

| 8 יָדֶ֣יךָ עִ֭צְּבוּנִי [3] Dechi  וַֽיַּעֲשׂ֑וּנִי [2] Etnachta וַֽתְּבַלְּעֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
8 “ ‘Your hands, they formed me [3]  and they made me; [2] will you swallow me up? [1]  |

9 Remember please [3]  that like clay you have made me; [2]  |

| 10 הֲלֹ֣א כֶ֭חָלָב [3] Dechi  תַּתִּיכֵ֑נִי [2] Etnachta תַּקְפִּיאֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
10 Wasn't it like milk [3]  you poured me out; [2] you curdled me, [1]  |

| 11 ע֣וֹר וּ֭בָשָׂר [3] Dechi  תַּלְבִּישֵׁ֑נִי [2] Etnachta תְּשֹׂכְכֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
11 skin and flesh [3]  you clothed me; [2] you wove me together? [1]  |

| 12 חַיִּ֣ים וָ֭חֶסֶד [3] Dechi  עָשִׂ֣יתָ עִמָּדִ֑י [2] Etnachta שָֽׁמְרָ֥ה רוּחִֽי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
12 Life and steadfast love [3]  you have granted me; [2] it has preserved my spirit. [1]  |

| 13 וְ֭אֵלֶּה [3] Dechi  צָפַ֣נְתָּ בִלְבָבֶ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta כִּי־זֹ֥את עִמָּֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq  | 
13 Yet these things [3]  you hid in your heart; [2] that this is with you, [1]  |

| 14 אִם־חָטָ֥אתִי וּשְׁמַרְתָּ֑נִי [2] Etnachta  לֹ֣א תְנַקֵּֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
14 if I sin then you will mark me; [2]  you will not acquit me. [1]  |

| 15 אִם־רָשַׁ֡עְתִּי [4] Pazer  אַלְלַ֬י לִ֗י [3] Revi'i לֹא־אֶשָּׂ֣א רֹאשִׁ֑י [2] Etnachta וּרְאֵ֥ה עׇנְיִֽי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
15 If I am guilty [4]  woe to me, [3] still will I not lift up my head; [2] and conscious of my affliction. [1]  |

| 16 וְ֭יִגְאֶה [3] Dechi  כַּשַּׁ֣חַל תְּצוּדֵ֑נִי [2] Etnachta תִּתְפַּלָּא־בִֽי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
16 If my head is held high, [3]  like a lion you hunt me; [2] you work wonders against me. [1]  |

| 17 תְּחַדֵּ֬שׁ עֵדֶ֨יךָ ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh  נֶגְדִּ֗י [3] Revi'i עִמָּדִ֑י [2] Etnachta עִמִּֽי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
17 You renew your witnesses [4]  against me [3] with me; [2] against me. [1]  |

| 18 וְלָ֣מָּה מֵ֭רֶחֶם [3] Dechi  הֹצֵאתָ֑נִי [2] Etnachta וְעַ֣יִן לֹֽא־תִרְאֵֽנִי׃ [1] Silluq  | 
18 “ ‘Why then from the womb [3]  did you bring me out? [2] and no eye had seen me. [1]  |

| 19 כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא־הָיִ֣יתִי [3] VDechi  אֶהְיֶ֑ה [2] Etnachta לַקֶּ֥בֶר אוּבָֽל׃ [1] Silluq  | 
19 As though I had not been, [3]  I should have been; [2] to the grave I should have been carried. [1]  |

| 20 הֲלֹֽא־מְעַ֣ט יָמַ֣י [3] VDechi  *יחדל **וַחֲדָ֑ל [2] Etnachta וְאַבְלִ֥יגָה מְּעָֽט׃ [1] Silluq  | 
20 Aren’t my days few? [3]  May it cease; [2] that I may find a little comfort, [1]  |

| 21 בְּטֶ֣רֶם אֵ֭לֵךְ [3] Dechi  וְלֹ֣א אָשׁ֑וּב [2] Etnachta וְצַלְמָֽוֶת׃ [1] Silluq  | 
21 before I go [3]  and I will not return; [2] and the shadow of death, [1]  |

22 the land of darkness [4]  like midnight, [3] with no order, [3/2] ¶  |
