צֹפַ֥ר הַֽנַּעֲמָתִ֗י [3/2] Revi'i
וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 1 Then he answered, [3]
Zophar the Naamathite, [3/2]
and he said, [1]
2 הֲרֹ֣ב דְּ֭בָרִים [3] Dechi
לֹ֣א יֵעָנֶ֑ה [2] Etnachta

וְאִם־אִ֖ישׁ שְׂפָתַ֣יִם [2] VRevMug
יִצְדָּֽק׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 2 “A multitude of words, [3]
should it go unanswered; [2]

and a man by (his) lips [2]
should he be justified? [1]
3 בַּ֭דֶּיךָ [3] Dechi
מְתִ֣ים יַחֲרִ֑ישׁוּ [2] Etnachta

וַ֝תִּלְעַ֗ג [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְאֵ֣ין מַכְלִֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 Your empty boasts, [3]
should they silence men; [2]

and when you mock, [2]
will no one put (you) to shame? [1]
4 וַ֭תֹּאמֶר [3] Dechi
זַ֣ךְ לִקְחִ֑י [2] Etnachta

וּ֝בַ֗ר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
הָיִ֥יתִי בְעֵינֶֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 4 For you have said, [3]
‘Pure is my teaching; [2]

and clean [2]
I am in your eyes.’ [1]
5 וְֽאוּלָ֗ם [3] Revi'i
מִֽי־יִתֵּ֣ן אֱל֣וֹהַּ [3] VDechi
דַּבֵּ֑ר [2] Etnachta

וְיִפְתַּ֖ח שְׂפָתָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
עִמָּֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 3 2 5 But [3]
if only God [3]
would speak; [2]

that he would open his lips [2]
against you, [1]
6 וְיַגֶּד־לְךָ֨ ׀ [4] Azla Legarmeh
תַּ֥עֲלֻמ֣וֹת חׇכְמָה֮ [3] Sinnor
כִּֽי־כִפְלַ֢יִם לְֽת֫וּשִׁיָּ֥ה [2] Ole Veyored

וְדַ֡ע [4/3] Pazer
כִּֽי־יַשֶּׁ֥ה לְךָ֥ אֱ֝ל֗וֹהַּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מֵעֲוֺנֶֽךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 3 6 and show you [4]
the secrets of wisdom, [3]
for sound wisdom has two sides; [2]

and know [4/3]
that God has forgotten for you [2]
some of your iniquity. [1]
7 הַחֵ֣קֶר אֱל֣וֹהַּ [3] VDechi
תִּמְצָ֑א [2] Etnachta

אִ֤ם עַד־תַּכְלִ֖ית שַׁדַּ֣י [2] VRevMug
תִּמְצָֽא׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 7 “The mysteries of God [3]
can you find out; [2]

or the limits of the Almighty [2]
can you find out? [1]
8 גׇּבְהֵ֣י שָׁ֭מַיִם [3] Dechi
מַה־תִּפְעָ֑ל [2] Etnachta

עֲמֻקָּ֥ה מִ֝שְּׁא֗וֹל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מַה־תֵּדָֽע׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 (They are) higher than the heavens, [3]
what can you do; [2]

deeper than Sheol, [2]
what can you know? [1]
9 אֲרֻכָּ֣ה מֵאֶ֣רֶץ [3] VDechi
מִדָּ֑הּ [2] Etnachta

וּ֝רְחָבָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִנִּי־יָֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 Longer than the earth [3]
is its measure; [2]

and wide [2]
more than the sea. [1]
10 אִם־יַחֲלֹ֥ף וְיַסְגִּ֑יר [2] Etnachta

וְ֝יַקְהִ֗יל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וּמִ֣י יְשִׁיבֶֽנּוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 10 If he passes by and imprisons; [2]

and he convenes a court [2]
then who can oppose him? [1]
11 כִּי־ה֭וּא [3] Dechi
יָדַ֣ע מְתֵי־שָׁ֑וְא [2] Etnachta

וַיַּרְא־אָ֝֗וֶן [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְלֹ֣א יִתְבּוֹנָֽן׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 11 For he, [3]
he knows false men; [2]

and he sees iniquity [2]
even if he doesn’t show himself attentive. [1]
12 וְאִ֣ישׁ נָ֭בוּב [3] Dechi
יִלָּבֵ֑ב [2] Etnachta

וְעַ֥יִר פֶּ֝֗רֶא [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אָדָ֥ם יִוָּלֵֽד׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 12 But an empty-headed man, [3]
he will gain understanding; [2]

when as a wild donkey’s colt [2]
is born a man. [1]
13 אִם־אַ֭תָּה [3] Dechi
הֲכִינ֣וֹתָ לִבֶּ֑ךָ [2] Etnachta

וּפָרַשְׂתָּ֖ אֵלָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
כַּפֶּֽיךָ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 “If you, [3]
you have set your heart aright; [2]

and you stretch out to him [2]
your hands, [1]
14 אִם־אָ֣וֶן בְּ֭יָדְךָ [3] Dechi
הַרְחִיקֵ֑הוּ [2] Etnachta

וְאַל־תַּשְׁכֵּ֖ן בְּאֹהָלֶ֣יךָ [2] VRevMug
עַוְלָֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 if wickedness is in your hand [3]
put it far away; [2]

and do not let (it) dwell in your tents, [2]
injustice, [1]
15 כִּי־אָ֤ז ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
תִּשָּׂ֣א פָנֶ֣יךָ [3] VDechi
מִמּ֑וּם [2] Etnachta

וְהָיִ֥יתָ מֻ֝צָ֗ק [2] Revi'i Mugrash

you will lift up your face [3]
without blemish; [2]

and you will be firmly established, [2]
and you will not fear. [1]
16 כִּֽי־אַ֭תָּה [3] Dechi
עָמָ֣ל תִּשְׁכָּ֑ח [2] Etnachta

כְּמַ֖יִם עָבְר֣וּ [2] VRevMug
תִזְכֹּֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 For you, [3]
you will forget misery; [2]

like waters that have passed away [2]
you will remember it. [1]
17 וּֽ֭מִצׇּהֳרַיִם [3] Dechi
יָק֣וּם חָ֑לֶד [2] Etnachta

תָּ֝עֻ֗פָה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
כַּבֹּ֥קֶר תִּהְיֶֽה׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 And more than the noonday [3]
your life will rise; [2]

its darkness [2]
will be as the morning. [1]
18 וּֽ֭בָטַחְתָּ [3] Dechi
כִּֽי־יֵ֣שׁ תִּקְוָ֑ה [2] Etnachta

וְ֝חָפַרְתָּ֗ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לָבֶ֥טַח תִּשְׁכָּֽב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 18 And you will be secure [3]
because there is hope; [2]

and you will look about you [2]
and you will lie down in safety. [1]
19 וְֽ֭רָבַצְתָּ [3] Dechi
וְאֵ֣ין מַחֲרִ֑יד [2] Etnachta

וְחִלּ֖וּ פָנֶ֣יךָ [2] VRevMug
רַבִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 And you will lie down, [3]
and no one will make you afraid; [2]

and they will seek your favor, [2]
many. [1]
20 וְעֵינֵ֥י רְשָׁעִ֗ים [3] Revi'i
תִּ֫כְלֶ֥ינָה [2] Ole Veyored

וּ֭מָנוֹס [3] Dechi
אָבַ֣ד מִנְהֶ֑ם [2] Etnachta

וְ֝תִקְוָתָ֗ם [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מַֽפַּֽח־נָֽפֶשׁ׃ [1] Silluq
פ
2 3 2 3 2 20 But the eyes of the wicked, [3]
they will fail; [2]

and a way of escape, [3]
it will be cut off from them, [2]

and their hope [2]
will be to breathe their last.” [1]
