1 וַ֭יַּעַן [3] Dechi
בִּלְדַּ֥ד הַשֻּׁחִ֗י [3/2] Revi'i
וַיֹּאמַֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 1 Then he answered, [3]
Bildad the Shuhite, [3/2]
and he said, [1]
2 עַד־אָ֤נָה ׀ [4] Mahpakh Legarmeh
תְּשִׂימ֣וּן קִנְצֵ֣י [3] VDechi
לְמִלִּ֑ין [2] Etnachta
 
תָּ֝בִ֗ינוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
וְאַחַ֥ר נְדַבֵּֽר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 4 2 2 “How long until [4]
you make an end [3]
to words? [2]
 
You consider, [2]
and afterwards we will speak. [1]
3 מַ֭דּוּעַ [3] Dechi
נֶחְשַׁ֣בְנוּ כַבְּהֵמָ֑ה [2] Etnachta
 
נִ֝טְמִ֗ינוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּעֵינֵיכֶֽם׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 Why [3]
are we regarded as cattle; [2]
 
are we considered stupid [2]
in your eyes? [1]
4 טֹרֵ֥ף נַפְשׁ֗וֹ [3] Revi'i
בְּאַ֫פּ֥וֹ [2] Ole Veyored
 
הַֽ֭לְמַעַנְךָ [3] Dechi
תֵּעָ֣זַב אָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
וְיֶעְתַּק־צ֝֗וּר [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מִמְּקֹמֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 3 2 4 You who tears himself [3]
in his anger; [2]
 
for your sake [3]
will the earth be abandoned, [2]
 
or will a rock be removed [2]
from its place? [1]
5 גַּ֤ם א֣וֹר רְשָׁעִ֣ים [3] VDechi
יִדְעָ֑ךְ [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹא־יִ֝גַּ֗הּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
שְׁבִ֣יב אִשּֽׁוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 5 “Indeed the light of the wicked, [3]
it is snuffed out; [2]
 
and it does not shine, [2]
the flame of his fire. [1]
6 א֭וֹר [3] Dechi
חָשַׁ֣ךְ בְּאׇהֳל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝נֵר֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עָלָ֥יו יִדְעָֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 6 The light, [3]
it grows dark in his tent; [2]
 
and his lamp [2]
above him, it is put out. [1]
7 יֵ֭צְרוּ [3] Dechi
צַעֲדֵ֣י אוֹנ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְֽתַשְׁלִיכֵ֥הוּ עֲצָתֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 7 They are shortened, [3]
his strong steps; [2]
 
and his own scheme throws him down. [1]
8 כִּֽי־שֻׁלַּ֣ח בְּרֶ֣שֶׁת [3] VDechi
בְּרַגְלָ֑יו [2] Etnachta
 
וְעַל־שְׂ֝בָכָ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִתְהַלָּֽךְ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 8 For he is caught in a net [3]
by his feet; [2]
 
and into its mesh [2]
he wanders. [1]
9 יֹאחֵ֣ז בְּעָקֵ֣ב [3] VDechi
פָּ֑ח [2] Etnachta
 
יַחֲזֵ֖ק עָלָ֣יו [2] VRevMug
צַמִּֽים׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 9 It will catch him by the heel, [3]
a trap; [2]
 
it will hold him fast, [2]
a snare. [1]
10 טָמ֣וּן בָּאָ֣רֶץ [3] VDechi
חַבְל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מַלְכֻּדְתּ֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עֲלֵ֣י נָתִֽיב׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 10 Hidden on the ground [3]
is a rope for him; [2]
 
and a trap for him [2]
on the path. [1]
11 סָ֭בִיב [3] Dechi
בִּעֲתֻ֣הוּ בַלָּה֑וֹת [2] Etnachta
 
וֶהֱפִיצֻ֥הוּ לְרַגְלָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 11 On every side [3]
terrors frighten him; [2]
 
and chase him at his heels. [1]
12 יְהִֽי־רָעֵ֥ב אֹנ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝אֵ֗יד [2] Revi'i Mugrash
נָכ֥וֹן לְצַלְעֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 2 12 Calamity is hungry for him; [2]
 
and disaster [2]
is prepared for his stumbling. [1]
13 יֹ֭אכַל [3] Dechi
בַּדֵּ֣י עוֹר֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
יֹאכַ֥ל בַּ֝דָּ֗יו [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בְּכ֣וֹר מָֽוֶת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 13 It eats away [3]
the parts of his skin; [2]
 
it devours his limbs, [2]
the firstborn of death. [1]
14 יִנָּתֵ֣ק מֵ֭אׇהֳלוֹ [3] Dechi
מִבְטַח֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝תַצְעִדֵ֗הוּ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
לְמֶ֣לֶךְ בַּלָּהֽוֹת׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 14 He is torn away from his tent [3]
in which he trusted; [2]
 
and it makes him march [2]
to the king of terrors. [1]
15 תִּשְׁכּ֣וֹן בְּ֭אׇהֳלוֹ [3] Dechi
מִבְּלִיל֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
יְזֹרֶ֖ה עַל־נָוֵ֣הוּ [2] VRevMug
גׇפְרִֽית׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 15 In his tent will dwell [3]
nothing of his; [2]
 
scattered over his habitation will be [2]
sulfur. [1]
16 מִ֭תַּחַת [3] Dechi
שׇׁרָשָׁ֣יו יִבָ֑שׁוּ [2] Etnachta
 
וּ֝מִמַּ֗עַל [2] Revi'i Mugrash
יִמַּ֥ל קְצִירֽוֹ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 16 From beneath, [3]
his roots dry up; [2]
 
and from above, [2]
his branches wither. [1]
17 זִֽכְרוֹ־אָ֭בַד [3] Dechi
מִנִּי־אָ֑רֶץ [2] Etnachta
 
וְלֹא־שֵׁ֥ם ל֝֗וֹ [2] Revi'i Mugrash
עַל־פְּנֵי־חֽוּץ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 17 His memory perishes [3]
from the earth; [2]
 
and he has no name [2]
on the street. [1]
18 יֶ֭הְדְּפֻהוּ [3] Dechi
מֵא֣וֹר אֶל־חֹ֑שֶׁךְ [2] Etnachta
 
וּֽמִתֵּבֵ֥ל יְנִדֻּֽהוּ׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 18 He is driven [3]
from light into darkness; [2]
 
and from the world he is chased out. [1]
19 לֹ֘א נִ֤ין ל֣וֹ וְלֹא־נֶ֣כֶד [3] VDechi
בְּעַמּ֑וֹ [2] Etnachta
 
וְאֵ֥ין שָׂ֝רִ֗יד [2] Revi'i Mugrash
בִּמְגוּרָֽיו׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 19 He has no offspring or descendant [3]
among his people; [2]
 
and no survivor [2]
where he once lived. [1]
20 עַל־י֭וֹמוֹ [3] Dechi
נָשַׁ֣מּוּ אַחֲרֹנִ֑ים [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝קַדְמֹנִ֗ים [2] Revi'i Mugrash
אָ֣חֲזוּ שָֽׂעַר׃ [1] Silluq
2 3 2 20 At his day [3]
those who come after will be appalled; [2]
 
as those who went before [2]
were seized with horror. [1]
21 אַךְ־אֵ֭לֶּה [3] Dechi
מִשְׁכְּנ֣וֹת עַוָּ֑ל [2] Etnachta
 
וְ֝זֶ֗ה [2] Revi'i Mugrash
מְק֣וֹם לֹֽא־יָדַֽע־אֵֽל׃ [1] Silluq

2 3 2 21 Surely such [3]
are the dwellings of the unrighteous; [2]
 
and such [2]
is the place of one who doesn’t know God.” [1]
